Technovore

Just this. I saw the episode of Earth's Mightiest Heroes with this thing and have wanted hurt/comfort fic ever since. I can't believe there isn't practically any!

PSA, in case you who are reading this don't know, technovore is this thing that was made to destroy technology (I think? It's been a while) and goes seeking out energy sources with the highest output to feed on nearby. Tony, for at least a significant amount of time, has an arc reactor keeping him alive. Need I say more?

You could have it be some invention of Hydra or AIM, or even Hammer or some other evil/angry/misguided engineer/scientist person, and it will eventually be drawn to the nearest arc reactor, I do believe. Or you can have the Avengers tasked with dealing with it. Lots of options.

If anyone knows of any fic with this, though, let me know! From what I can remember, all I could ever find were promising but unfinished ones.

I have a specific version I'd like to try, but that's further on in the list and a slight variation on Technovore, at least how it appears in EMH. Idea #96

I'm drinking a limeade I made while watching IM: AA. I've made it to... Season 1, episode 19, called Technovore. (Pepper and Gene are finally friends! Woo! And Happy and Whiteny also being the group's friends? Aaawww... And oh. My. Gourd. Stane sucks. His daughter has one friend, it's Tony, and he refuses to see his daughter without an appointment and won't let Tony into Stafk Enterprises. What. The H*ll?!) (Happy is a sweetheart. Please let this guy stay that way) (I have no clue how these six are a friend group or how they stay one, but whatever, I'm intrigued)

Are there seriously people who laugh at the name Technovore? Tumblr users when they find out "-vore" is a common suffix in the English language. Technovore has been an Iron Man villain since the early 90s, meaning it's been around as long as the term "vore" has even been a thing. If they can't even handle that name it's gonna blow their fucking minds when I tell them humans are omnivores.
