Do you know how I like this tiny eyelet cable? 😄 I use it for my Hedera leaf pattern and upcoming new shawl design. So here is a way how I make them, it's pretty easy 😉 It's worked over 3 sts. 1. Insert right hand needle into the 3rd st. 2. Slip the 3rd st over the 2nd and 1st, do not drop the first two sts from left hand needle. 3. Work K1, YO, K1 over the remaining two sts. Then, follow your instruction for the next 3 rows. Enjoy! . Video 2: How to make fringe for my #ColorCodeBlanket (unraveling) Have you ever made incorporated fringe? 😄 . Here is how I make them: 1. Add extra stitches at the beginning and/or end of the row for your future fringe. 8 sts with gauge 18 sts per 4" create about 6" loop after unraveling. 2. Work them along with the pattern. 3. Leave fringe stitches open while making bind off row. 4. Carefully unravel fringe stitches going along the sides. At the same time, tie overhand knots on several unraveled loops. 5. Part 3️⃣ New video tutorial: How to start shawl with garter tab. Whole video is turned out longer than Instagram allows, so it comes in 3 parts. 🔹🔹🔹 1️⃣ Using waste yarn and crochet hook chain 5-6 stitches (sts). With working yarn pick up and knit 3 sts (or other number of sts depending on your pattern) from back loops of the crochet chain. Rows 1-8: knit all sts (you will have 4 garter ridges) 2️⃣ Row 9 (RS): k3, pick up 1 st in each of 4 garter ridges, remove waste yarn from cast-on sts, 3️⃣ place 3 sts on LH needle and knit them. Then, follow your pattern :) Enjoy! . Since I'm working on new design with elongated stitches included I decided to show how I do them 😄 My earlier Golden Filigree shawl pattern also includes the elongated stitches. Here is Variant 2️⃣ how to make elongated stitches (see variant 1️⃣ in the earlier post): Knit stitches wrapping yarn twice around a needle; drop extra wraps from needle while working the next row. It's my preferred method 😊 . What variant how to work elongated stitches do you prefer? Do you know any other methods? I'm always happy to learn something new 😊 . Several times I have been asked how to do slip st with yarn in back (sl 1 wyib) after yarn over in Bosc Pear shawl pattern. Some knitters have found this confusing or impossible to do. Meet one more video about double decreases: sskp and k3tog. They are not so popular as s2kp and sk2p but I use sskp and k3tog in my Leaf Out shawl pattern. . 🔹 Sskp - slip 1st st knitwise, slip 2nd st knitwise, knit 1 st, pass slipped sts over (left-slanting decrease) . 🔹 K3tog - knit 3 sts together (right-slanting decrease) . . #tetianaotruta_tutorials #LeafOutShawl #knitvideo #videotutorial #knittutorial #otrutadesign

Looking for double decreases info I've found that many stitch tutorials and web-sites determine only tree types of double decreases: k3tog (right-slanting), sk2p (left-slanting) and s2kp (centered). . In my patterns, I use four types of double decreases: k3tog (right-slanting), sskp (left-slanting), s2kp (centered) and sk2p ( I call it crossed). . The main difference is how to call sk2p and where is sskp lost 😄 .
