THE STORY

accalia alala was not always named so : once upon a time she was a daughter of a noble family with a pretty name fit for a lady, elizabeth marie of the most noble house declan.

when she was 14, her and her younger sister were taken to a port city and it was here she was kidnapped/ran away --- it’s uncertain which one it is --- onto the nightwing.

she learned pretty quickly to shirk her old gentle ways if she wanted to survive. it was during this time she took on her new name : accalia alala -- stolen names from stolen stories ; fitting for a pirate ( and a pirate she was at heart ).

accalia found many things she had been missing in her perfect life of a lady to be, and most importantly : freedom. with the sea stretched over before her, she felt truly like she could do anything and go anywhere.

when she was twenty-five, the captain of the nightwing was poisoned ( a coward’s way to die ). only one opposed her bid for captaincy and they died on the tip of her cutlass.

MISC

the nightwing is almost a completely black ship. it has pitch-black sails and the hull and deck have been stained with pitch and blood too many times to count. it was stained black when elizabeth marie stepped foot into it and that never changed when accalia alala took captaincy by the cutlass handle. it is not particularly large but rather known for its stealth and speed -- hence the name.

the nightwing is a bit of a ghost ship you might say --- not legendary but any means, but not seen very often... just masts through mists and rarely ever moored anywhere for very long. you might see it on the horizon, but it slips away quickly, leaving you to wonder if it was ever there at all. the crew accalia takes must love the sea as they spent long stretches out on it.

she is a CHAOTIC NEUTRAL : she does not see good vs bad and lives in this grey area between. she values freedom above everything and dislikes being told what to do. she will go on whims and feelings more often than not, but also demands the loyalty of her crew --- what good captain would NOT ? she is not cruel, persay, but she is honest and brutally fair, and some will say there is no difference between the two.

she isn’t really for segregating the species ; she thinks that everyone should have a chance to prove themselves regardless of how they were born --- how, where, and to whom you were born are not things under anyone’s control. people go to the sea to be reborn, after all ; who is she to deny that? accalia cares only for things that can be changed.

02. gash

born outside of candoris, sebastián was the first of four children in the navarette lineage. deeming the outside world too dangerous to be wolves and to start a family, his mother and father sought refuge in the kingdom of candoris when seb was only six years old. a year later, after establishing themselves as nobility thanks to his mother’s drive and passion to land the position as lady of their estate, his younger brother santiago was born. three years following the birth of santi came a baby sister, mia. the three were closer than any siblings could be, sharing a bond that could not be broken by anything. he spent his days telling his siblings of tales outside of candoris, though he his young mind probably exaggerated some details, he just liked seeing the smile from mia’s face as he told them.

when santi was just five, he fell extremely ill. their parents basically quarantined santiago from sebastián and mia not wanting their other children to contract the deadly disease. he took mia under his wing, a girl far too young to understand their brother close to death. while his parents tended to their brother, seb, twelve years old, had suddenly been responsible for his younger sister. he would play games with her and teach her how to do various things. it was a distraction from the tragic reality that their brother may never recover. this forced sebastián to grow up quickly to assume some of the responsibility for the household. if he had mia under control, then it would allow his parents to focus solely on santi. 

for what felt like a lifetime, and was actually only a year, santi made a full recovery. it wasn’t as if he felt like he had to readjust to life with santi in it, because he really was grateful. it was just that he had grown so accustomed to it just being him and mia that the change took some time. the brothers had been close before he fell ill, but after it was hard to step back into the relationship that they had. seb never wanted to be overbearing to santi, knowing that his parents had tended to him day and night for a year. he wanted to cultivate a strong relationship like he and mia had, but he also never wanted to make his brother feel like he was suffocating with the attention. 

while santi mostly stayed in and on his own, mia was growing quickly becoming a fierce young woman. seb and mia became thick as thieves, teaching her everything he knew about being a wolf. she was truly his other half, he would have done anything for his little sister. one night then were wandering the wood together just enjoying the night breeze with the moon shining from above. he sat her down and told her the story of why wolves had always howled at the moon. how quae carcajou once was a spirit in love with the moon, tricked out of leaving the spirit realm so he could never be with the moon again. so with a bit of magic, he was turned into a wolf and every night he goes to a high cliff to see her and to yell her name “mooooooooooon” into the universe. after the fit of giggles followed by the pair howling at the moon, seb declared that he should call her luna to always let her know that if she was lost, he could howl for her and find her way back to him. the nickname stuck, spreading to their family with her little nickname. 

when seb was nineteen, another brother, mateo was born as somewhat as a surprise to everyone considering they had been in their ways for many years. he would always do his best to try and be there for his youngest brother, but he always felt some sort of disconnect from him since he was so much older. still, the siblings remained closer than anyone else, becoming their own little pack within the pack. they would often be seen together at all moments, the siblings could not be broken apart. 

as they all settled into adulthood, minus mateo who was still just a pup, the need for seb seemed to fade as having the older brother protect them at all times. they were all grown up and their own person. without a job, only being the heir to their estate, it caused seb to become restless, focusing all of his attention on mateo now, getting the rut of his overbearingness since his siblings were both fiercely independent. mateo’s refusal to really allow seb to be protective only caused unrest in the wolf. he set off to do other things, perhaps maybe find someone of interest to him to work on starting a family on his own, since he loved his so much. 

that plan had worked for a moment, seb for the first time in his life not feeling the pressure of being there for his siblings for every waking moment. he had even met a few people that he found a genuine interest in. that all came crumbling down when his little luna had a broken heart. after seeing his little sister in such pain from love, he swore it off, thinking that it could only ever bring trouble for him. from that moment, he would deny any feelings for himself becoming stubborn at the mere idea of imprinting. if he found his true bond, how could he ever focus on his family. protecting them was all that he had ever known, he did not want to stray far from them.

putting an immense amount of pressure on himself now by denying any sort of feelings he had for other people, he could feel him start to lose himself. once so strong and so sure of himself, every time an opportunity presented itself, he denied himself the pleasures of love from women and men. he believed he was too strong, and far too proud to let himself succumb to those feelings of love and happiness. especially when he had a family to protect. 

now with candoris quite literally in war, sebastián finds himself further wrapped up in the idea that he is the sole protector of his family, despite his siblings pleas for him to stop and live his own life. he just can’t bare to see anything bad happen to them.

peter dunn is an child 6 of 6 and usually that would mean the most rotten, favourite but really he’s just the most forgotten one out the siblings. he’s not close with his siblings either, while they’ve been happy with the life they live... peter’s always wanted more. peter’s wanted to be in the world up above for as long as he can remember, teaching people about merfolk and learning about all the other species there are. he’s got the biggest heart in the world and he wears it on his sleeve. 

peter now lives in acrine, teaching as a schoolmaster to particularly younger children. the world around him is a hot mess, and he’s honestly no different. he’s... hard to anger, he’s easy to forgive and you have to be a real shit person for peter to not get over it.

BIOGRAPHY

• Nadya Kingsley is the stuff monsters are made of: cold, ruthless, and fiercely devoted the freedom and independence of individuals trapped under the pressures of government and society, she’s been a fearsome sight to behold the entirety of her life. All things considered, Nadya was born into privilege unlike that which any of her comrades have known. As the youngest child of a high-ranking noble family–the only daughter of the Duke of Marseilles–Nadya was destined for things her parents would have considered far greater than piracy or traversing the seven seas. As a child, she’d been groomed for the life of a future duchess; she was taught to be cool, aloof, and polite to those who were considered stationed beneath her. She spent her afternoons in exhausting tutoring sessions with both of her elder brothers, and her nights practicing and honing the skills which her mother found valuable for a young heiress to obtain. Her two brothers, Rolf and Niklaus, were permitted to do as they pleased; they were invited to important social clubs, were encouraged to assert their dominance among other members of social gatherings and parties, and were raised to be leaders. Nadya, whose daily tasks and activities were decidedly softer and more submissive, couldn’t help but compare the differences in which her parents regarded her brothers and her. Her brothers were treated as future conquerors: she was treated as a pawn in the game of advantageous marriages and connections.

• By the time Nadya was thirteen, she had a tongue like a serpent and a mind far more advanced than either of her brothers. But still, despite her protests when her father purposely excluded her from political conversations and theology musings and her mother’s insistence she go to the parlor and practice her sewing or piano, the Kingsley family vehemently ignored their daughter’s desperate wishes to break out and become as valuable and important as the males of her family. By the time she was fourteen, her cheek had earned her disfavor in her father’s cold gaze, and caresses and laughter gave way to bruises and snarling. But still, despite the way her battered body became littered with scars and bruises as a result of her father’s quick temper and abuse, Nadya refused to sit still in her own life. She was a calculating, determined, stubborn thing, and she refused to let any nobleman’s net ensnare her.

• On the eve of her sixteenth birthday, Nadya fled the mansion she’d once called home in favor of throwing her life of oppressive obedience and petticoats to the wind. Her father’s final blow of the day had been discussion of an arranged marriage to a Duke from another land–one twenty years her senior and a known assaulter. When Nadya refused to tie herself to such a creature, her father inflicted injury upon injury on her. It was only later, in the dead of night, that she escaped, with a split lip and a black eye. She hid herself in the small villages near ports by the sea, offering herself up for work in exchange for food and lodging. Many commoners were suspicious of the girl with the tattered clothing and the busted face, and were weary to provide her with even the most basic of human comforts and necessities. It was nearing a week after her escape from her childhood home, when she was fatigued, dehydrated, and weak with starvation, that a traveling captain happened upon her. A gruff man of few words, Alexander Barrett eased Nadya to her feet, provided her with the food she’d been so ardently denied, and offered her passage aboard in his ship in exchange for her honest labor and secrecy. Though Nadya knew little of the stranger’s trade at the moment, she was quick to consent; anything to get her away from the watchful eyes of the village people, or the parents who were undoubtedly searching for her relentlessly in lieu of their wrecked marriage plans.

• As Nadya gained her strength and confidence once more, she grew into the spirited, snarky young woman she’d once been. Alexander being a Pirate Lord and her services being necessary for looting and conquering didn’t bother Nadya much; in fact, it was exactly the sort of rebellion against her more civilized, oppressive lifestyle she needed in order to flourish as a young woman. She quickly became one of  the most dedicated member of Alexander Barrett’s crew; her fierce loyalty and unwavering dedication to her Pirate Lord won her favor on more than one occasion, and she grew to become one of the captain’s closest confidants. Nor could she forget the kindness he had offered her, in his own unique way, when she was a lost girl searching for shelter and food. Now, ten years by Alexander’s side, Nadya has assumed the rank of quartermaster aboard his ship, The Renegade. As a naturally cutthroat and vicious woman, hardened by years of abuse and the past she never speaks of, Nadya is responsible for doling out many of the punishments Alexander inflicts on those who disobey him, and also maintains order aboard the ship. With war looming over the horizon, though, Nadya is anxious to see what will become of the privileged, old-fashioned people like her parents; those who cling to tradition and refuse to let others flourish and grow.

( she ) is an ( 765/38 ) years old ( faerie ) known to be a ( noble ). many have said ( she ) resembles ( Katheryn Winnick ). ( she ) has been said to be ( rebellious, abrasive ) but also quite ( loyal, compassionate ). ( she ) is currently serving as ( quartermaster on the gemini, former shield maiden in fae military ). ( tara / 27 / she/her / CST / OC APP )

Svala was born to the duke and duchess of the summer court many years ago, during the age where norse religion ran rampant through their culture and strong through her father’s veins. Born near the sea, Svala always had a penchant for the water but appreciated everything from the earth she could receive. Especially after learning the legends of the Aesir and Vanir. The story of Yggdrasil and the nine worlds and how each of the elements played a role in them. She was bonded to the air though, her element, that also brought forth her childhood dream of being one of Odin’s valkyries, or at least meeting one. She learned the only way to do so was to die an honorable death in battle. The valkyries would sweep down and carry the honorable warriors to Valhalla to dine with gods and wait for the end of times.

Svala thought Ragnarok was on her heels as she began having to act more responsible, and lady-like rather than fighting with local boys faerie realms. She hated having to step up to prepare to take over for her father and mother but it was something that had to be done and once she took her role as duchess, she never looked back and realized she could make her own rules. So not only did she take over the land of her ancestors but she walked alongside the faeries in battle serving as shield maiden in the fae military, and making sure she was on the front line. Her childhood dream of becoming a valkyrie was soon to come true, or so she thought.

While serving as the duchess of the summer court, Svala spread the norse sagas to the children and even some adults that were interested in them. She hoped one day maybe some of those who listened would see the equality she saw in them and look past the human myths. They had more backbone than that, more substance. One young fae showed more interest than most. He was constantly thirsty for more, until he was killed by Kassandra Rydell. Svala found the woman crouched over the young fae and witnessed the death of the future she saw right then.

During a battle she was taken captive, and held prisoner. Her tougher exterior only grew tougher during the time her captors held her, but eventually she was set free and returned home. She announced she would once again take up her helm, and it was then that her father stepped in. Disagreeing with the decision to do such but Svala refused to back down from what she wanted to do. The mockery of the state of engagement only causing her to want to go farther than before and go back to what she had wanted. So she gave up her position, handing it back to over to her parents to decide their next heir. One of her three siblings could probably handle it better than she could anyway. She has been sailing on The Gemini ever since. Her heart and soul even more stoic than ever and her eyes cold from what all she has lost but also never gave herself the chance to have.

When Svala isn’t on The Gemini she finds her home in Wilde Wood, hunting and exploring and growing closer to nature. She shares her new home with a man she considers to be the closest thing to a husband she will get and their two sons and a daughter. They are taught the way that Svala believes they should live. Nothing is less than them, and everyone is equal and necessary in the world.

This is my boy. He’s pretty repressed. As the eldest of the Mac Alistair children, there is a lot riding on his shoulders. His mother has great expectations for him and he has lived up to them so far. He is brave, powerful, he puts family first and appreciates tradition above all else. He wanted to make his family proud and he is often the peacekeeper between his mother and sister. 

However, Kirk feels stuck. His younger siblings got a lot more freedom. Even for all the shit Sorcha gets, their mother let her get away with a lot. Kirk would just like to breath without the weight of the world on his shoulders. So, he has been sneaking out when he’s on his breaks. He’s met a woman. One he can be himself with and it’s amazing. He feels free for once. However, if anyone were to find out he would be ruined. 

Kirk is the personal guard to the Queen and he loves his job. He has been loyal to Giselle since before she took the throne and he was at her side when she deposed Kael. He briefly took part in the slaughter of mortals under Kael but quickly realized that it was not the right thing to do. Instead, he pledged his loyalty to Giselle and helped her take the throne. He has been at her side ever since.

biography

sir cyril was the only male born to a dairy maid and a unaccomplished knight. nevertheless, his lineage was enough for him to become a squire to his father, and eventually work his way up the proverbial horse to his own knighting. though, like father, like son. seemingly, his only accomplishment as a human knight was to be part of the royal guard, but rankings kept him at a lowly stature and an even lowlier coin purse.

yet, he managed to find a pretty wife, whose dowry brought a few chickens and goats, and she bore him two pretty children. day by day was subtle and boring, but he enjoyed his patrol route atop his brown and white steed. despite being protecting his lands from much physically stronger foes, everything tended to remain calm.

but, life has a way of breaking, and during one of his nightly patrols, cyril was ambushed by a rogue vampire. he awoke in one of the neighboring lands, a new vampire. now deemed a traitor, cyril rejoined the royal guard for the vampires, shedding away his past human life.

More Information

Arabella is the current heir to the Mer Kingdom, and while she loves her people very much, she grew up with a survivalist mindset. She had to adapt very quickly to survive her mother’s political maneuverings, especially after the death of her father, so she’s gotten very used to wearing an emotional mask around others

She’s a very astute person, since she grew up having to question the intentions of others. Trying to bullshit her is probably one of the worst mistakes to make.

Arabella has a love-hate relationship with her mother, since she still loves the queen, but is disgusted by what she’s done to the merfolk. Given how powerful Queen Liling is, Arabella has often lived in fear that she might be the next on her hit list if she doesn’t behave like the perfect princess.

Deep down, Arabella longs to experience some of the normal things a woman her age is supposed to experience: falling in love, making friends and living a carefree life. She feels as though she was forced to grow up years faster than her peers, and has a hard time connecting with them.

&&. the kindling

being born into nearly royalty, on top of already bestowed immortality should have meant that aiden mac alistair should have had an easy and comfortable life. that’s what his sister set out for him, to be shielded from their mother’s hopes and dreams, to live life in whatever way he and his twin sister wanted. It was a warm-hearted thought, but not one that any of the mac alistairs would ever be destined to have (although if he had his way, ailsa would never have to worry about him or anyone)

he is the middle child, growing up in the shadow of his older brother and sister. his brother, the ever traditional and disciplined were the footsteps he had to follow. aiden was never strong enough, smart enough, or fast enough in comparison to him. all through his childhood, it was endless commentary where they would just stop short of saying “why can’t you just be kirk?” then there was sorcha. his older sister that was the troublemaker, the more visible of the troublemakers because they shared the same feeling--to not want to be boxed into expectations. aiden enjoyed the benefits of his noble life because of the pressure that was put onto his older siblings, but at the same time, he fell to the wayside. ailsa was the perfect daughter. kirk was the perfect son. sorcha was the troublemaker, so where did that leave aiden?

the older he grew, the easier it was to just slip by on the side, despite his more explosive tendencies. aiden had even gone as far as bully young faes he knew were weaker than him, due to his rank--but grew out of it as he got older. it was just his thirst for victory, to want to surpass his brother, to be the best. aiden’s fire power was just as strong, just as good, and he worked just as hard, ane one day it will be recognized. he was sure his twin sister noticed, but she never said anything as he would be gone for increasingly longer times, then reappear with multiple burns and scratches and no one would notice. aiden never strayed from his duties, becoming a hunter for the faerie court. he stood out there, his loud and boisterous personality showing through, finally, as he would chase down his kills with a frenzy.

all aiden wants in life is to find his place in the family, not in the shadows where he believes he lives. although it’s been seventy years and he has gotten comfortable there, preferring to be alone and not having to rely on anyone else. he has come to terms with his status, knowing he is good enough but never letting his family know. there was this resentment inside that built and festered for too long for him to want to even try anymore. it is easier drowning his sorrows at the bottom of a bottle or letting the flames tickle his skin than processing and dealing with his emotions. yet if anyone tried to threaten his family, they would feel his wrath.

Santiago is the second child of the Navarette family. For the first five years of his life he was very close with his brother and sister. Then, tragically, at the age of five, he contracted the polio virus and it nearly killed him. The Navarette quarantined Santiago to protect their other children and after a painful year of paralysis, breathing trouble, and near death experiences, Santiago made a full recovery. He wasn’t left with any permanent paralysis but shifting in and out of his wolf form is painful to this day. 

When Santiago emerged from his quartine he was different. He was still as close to his siblings as he had been before but he was quieter. How could he not be? Having been through a traumatic experience at such a young age. He grew into a promising young artist and after finishing art school he opened his own studio. 

About two years ago, Santiago started getting sick again and developed what we now know as post-polio syndrome. The doctors in Candoris aren’t completely sure what is wrong with him but they are sure it has something to do with his childhood illness. Santiago tires easily and his body hurts worst than it has since he was ill the first time. Still, Santiago refuses to let this dictate his life. He refused to move back in with his parents when they offered and continues to live above his studio.

the fae were born on a brisk day that barely kissed the edge summer to a merchant and a handmaiden. enjolras and ester travers were brought into the world, twins hailing from the autumn court of candoris. his earliest memories were filled with marvels of the human world. enjolras and ester went along with their father to acrine during the times he would sell his goods. though they knew magic was real, there was nothing quite as fascinating as getting the chance to revel in everything the mortals had to offer. on certain days their father would bring them out onto the docks to pick up shipments. it was the only time enjolras felt a sort of excitement. he yearned for the sea, and wished every day that his affinity could be toward water.

his sister discovered her affinity first for the earth. she had always been more grounded, more nurturing than he. often, he found himself jealous of how naturally hers came to and how effortlessly she seemed completely grounded in it. his day had come though, the day that would change him for the rest of his very long immortal life. playing in the woods with his sister, jumping over tree roots, ducking under branches, weaving through thicks of leaves and tall grass he chased after her, knowing she had the advantage. he could feel something stir within him, as if the power inside of him was about to boil over. deciding to test his own powers, he reached out to his sister, expecting the vines tangled on her arms to be nothing more than flourished with life from what he believed was going to be water. instead the vines cracked and shriveled up into nothing but ash as fire now danced upon his sister’s skin. mortified, he drew back, looking down at his hands then to her arm to see what he had done. though she insisted she was fine and she knew he meant no harm, it was the very event that started to drive the wedge between him and his sister. if he could not help her thrive, he would only end up hurting her and leaving nothing but destruction in his wake like he had in the wood that day.

enjolras kept everything bottled up inside from then on. anyone could see that the playful boy had come undone and beside himself from the events that conspired in the woods. he was filled with anger and self loathing to imagine that he could have done that to his own twin, the had been brought into the world together and now he felt like he could so easily take it away from her. denying the growing powers inside of him only added more fuel to the fire. his once feathered wings, snow white and peppered with the smallest flecks of black much like an owl, now adorned charred tips with intricately placed embers always aflame. perhaps it was a symbol of his purity and innocence scorched away by his own volition— or by the betrayal he brought upon himself for hurting his better half that day.

deciding to try and use it to his benefit as best as he could, he refined his skills on his own, learning to control any bit of the fire that burned within him. he wanted to try his shot at joining the royal navy, knowing fully well that while his affinity may not had been water, he loved it all the while. every ebb and flow of the sea called out to him, telling him that it was where he belonged. he didn’t care if the water would put his flames out, he just wanted to do something— anything to be better. while he studied for the tests, he always held a bit of arrogance around it. figuring he would probably pass, despite the slight disadvantage he had to the other fae who were more akin with the water. when he received word that he did not make the cut, that his dreams were taken away from him in that moment. he had grown wary, tired of always trying to be the best version of himself for the sake of everyone else. letting himself be completely consumed by the flames was the start of a path he could never return from.

that night he slipped away to acrine wanting to drown his sorrows, willing to do anything to avoid seeing the look of disappointed that would be painted on their features. the fear that he would never live up to what they wanted him to be like they always had whispered about in their room late at night. it was in the taverns where he heard of drunkards cheery songs of the sea, pirates taking the night off. had he had been any bit of sober, perhaps his curiosity would not have outweighed the thoughts in his head. he followed them back to the ship glamoured to hide his scorched wings and pointed ears. he asked to be apart of the ship, wanting a fresh start away from all of the pain he had held for this place he called his home. this was the next best thing beside setting his world ablaze, caving into his only fear that he would hurt his sister beyond repair. when they asked of his name he knew he couldn’t tell them his true one. deciding on the spot, he called himself nathaniel hamilton and thus the ashes of his old life as a fae scattered around him as he thrust into his new one as a pirate aboard the renegade.

about three years into his adventure, nathaniel worked his way up through the ranks. he remained glamoured for most of the time just to have an even shot among the rest of the crew. he did not want to be treated or looked at differently. however, that all changed when his captain and his quartermaster were in danger from a bad run in with a merfolk they were trying to capture. revealing himself was a risk he decided to take so he could save them. fortunately for him, instead of being ridiculed, he was praised. alexander and nadya were bonded for life with nathaniel when he did that, showing them truly where his loyalties were. it was not long after that he was brought through the ranks to be the navigator.

in the seven years since, the renegade has ported back in the kingdom from time to time. he knew that his sister must have been looking for him, but he just hoped she assumed he was dead. he stayed far away from the seasonal courts to ensure that he wouldn’t get caught. that he wouldn’t have to live with the pain he knowingly caused his twin. even if she found him, she would be sad to see that the brother she once knew was a starkly different person than who he used to be. though ten years was hardly a fraction of his immortal life, it truly changed every part of his being. instead of daring to travel inland he stayed on the outskirts, becoming familiar with every creature that crossed his path for the worse or the better.

now as the political climate is heating up and the crew of the renegade remained docked or do not travel far, nathaniel has offered up a proposal of sorts to his captain. he could shed his glamour and make his way back to the seasonal courts as enjolras for the first time in ten long years. he knew it would be useful for the crew, having a fae on the inside that could manipulate others with his serpent tongue to gain knowledge about the fae’s position without them knowing him to be a pirate. he made his way to the spring court where he made himself at home. often he travels back to the renegade to give alexander reports and updates from all of the information he’s gathered. though the smallest part of him has always hoped he could be truly home, the person he has become has denied him of returning to his past.

She speaks Arabic, Russian, English, and French. Distantly she knows her mother was from Spain but she didn’t know the woman long enough to learn the language. 

While she is one of the older vampires in the Night Court and the oldest of the Children of the Night she has never tried to take a leadership role in the Court. At least not since the death of Luca, Mira, and Yasha. 

Speaking of Yasha, she hasn’t taken a lover since he died and isn’t sure she ever will again.

Isra could live at Hollowridge, she does have a room there but she isn’t sure what she’ll do if she has to see Kaya that often so she has a cabin on the edge of the vampire’s realm. Right there at the intersection of the Wilde Wood, the human kingdom, and the Night Court. From here she can do her work effectively. 

If you see Isra outside the Vampire Court, she’ll be in a tavern or strolling through a town’s market. She’ll look like she’s just going about her business and she is. Her business is finding the people that the Children of the Night need to talk to and gathering information. 

She’s also been known to kill humans and werewolves on the border there by her cabin.
