Time-Out Needed!

I am taking a much-needed break from this platform and HoTD fandom in general. It's not going to be long though -- just a week's worth of detox to actually get my priorities in order!

This space was meant as an escape from my daily grind but lately, it's become a grueling chore. To make matters worse, I'm juggling a full-time job along with my Masters programme. These days, I get anxious every time I see my notification tab light up. On top of that, my health has taken a deep dive with my anxiety riddled eating habits - and that's never a good news! Given the industry that I'm in, these issues tend to become even more apparent - as evidenced by my colleague's observation that my cheeks are looking more 'filled in' and my eleven lines on forehead are getting more prominent 😭 Don't get mad now, it's just how Asians express care and affection - it's wired into our DNA! However, she was kind to hook me with the best tretinoin in market 🥹

I will still be available on Discord, and I'll answer all your cute asks in the next couple of days. But I'm afraid any fandom-related topics will have to wait until next week. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Wow. 300 followers. How amazing is that?

I never imagined that people would read and be interested in my stories. So thank you all, from the bottom of my heart.

But above all, a big thank you to all the authors, for all their magnificent stories. On this platform, whichever kind of story you like, you'll find what you’re looking for.

In March, I did a search for Pedro, and Google took me to Tumblr. I knew nothing about fanfiction and a new world opened up to me.

I discovered the accounts of @swiftispunk, @toxicanonymity 🖤🫶, @walkintotheriveranddisappear, @javiscigarette… and so many more since then. Each of them has a different writing style, different ways of conveying feelings and emotions, different Joels and Javis.

For several months, I’ve been reblogging my favorite stories, gifs, photos. I started to interact shyly, little by little.

And then, three months ago, I thought, why not write something of my own? Except... I'm French, I learned English by watching films and series in their original version with french subtitles. Writing in another language was quite a challenge.

Thanks to this community that I tiptoed into, I met @not-a-unique-snowflake-blog . She’s an angel who reads and corrects each of my stories before I post them. Without her, I would never have written, so Kate, thank you babe 💕🫶

I can't finish this post without talking about @iamasaddie. You’re a ray of sunshine, I love your humor, your creativity, your complete and fierce loyalty 💛🫶
