i always find it amusing that draco's hair wasn't described up until PoA:

Malfoy’s head jerked forward as the mud hit him; his silver-blond hair was suddenly dripping in muck.

which is fairly normal, but this is the only instance i've seen where his hair is described as silver-blond. harry changes description starting GoF, and has been consistent up until the end:

Harry and Draco Malfoy had been enemies ever since their very first journey to Hogwarts. A pale boy with a pointed face and white-blond hair

Malfoy stood to one side, the sunlight gleaming on his white-blond head.

Harry did not dare look directly at Draco, but saw him obliquely: a figure slightly taller than he was, rising from an armchair, his face a pale and pointed blur beneath white-blond hair.

harry has already used the description "white-blond" to another character before, and it was firenze. his description is still the same even in OoTP

which is interesting for me since GoF is when they introduced veelas and fleur, who is described to have silvery-blonde hair. so i'm just guessing they changed draco's hair color so it won't be confusing

It was the girl from Beauxbatons who had laughed during Dumbledore’s speech. She had finally removed her muffler. A long sheet of silvery-blonde hair fell almost to her waist. She had large, deep blue eyes, and very white, even teeth.

but then again, all this doesn't matter because veelas are also described to have "white-gold" hair LMFAO

 This puzzled Harry for a moment while he tried to guess what exactly they could be; what could make their skin shine moon- bright like that, or their white-gold hair fan out behind them without wind . . .

so maybe harry's just revising his old observation of draco's hair now that he's seen what a real silver-blond hair looks like, why we need to know about dracos glistening hair color every single book is still unknown though
