Behold the best version of Sherlock and Watson, the soviet one. It's amazing, such a cosy show.

I've also read it's the most faithful to the books. Soviet Cinema wins again, I adore it.

The part in The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson (aka Soviet Holmes) episode "The Tigar Hunt" where they're looking across at the wax bust in Baker Street and Watson (standing way to close to be for heterosexual reasons as is standard in this adaptation) just reaches out and slowly removes Holmes' hat and Holmes takes off his little sunglasses and they look at eachother for a beat before continuing on as if that wasn't some of the fruitiest shit I have ever clapped eyes upon????

I love Soviet John Watson. Complete ride or die. He thinks his roommate is a serial killer. He tries to convince said potential serial killer the Earth revolves around the Sun because Sherlock does not know this. Within like, a day of learning what Sherlock actually does, he's doing detective training. I love him.

Three of my favourite scenes from Soviet Holmes...

The carriage ride. Of course. Seldom was there a more caring Holmes. And there's no actual reason for Watson to lean against Holmes like that. Other than for them to look adorable.

Watson gets angry at Milverton and Holmes can calm him with just a touch of their hands. And the way he instinctively grabs his hand.

And the third one is them reuniting after being apart during HOUN and it really depicts them being close. They miss each other and they're delighted to see each other.

This Holmes and this Watson are probably closer than any other pair.
