i am a chronic "i need to watch that"-er, and i'm very lucky but also cursed to be surounded by excellent friends always recommending me excellent things. and i finally want to get off my keyster and actually WATCH them, but i have so many different serieseseseses i'm in the middle of that it's really hard to commit to one. so i made a watchlist of every series i'm either watching, beginning to watch, or wanting to watch. and then i decided to do the same with movies. and books i'm reading/want to read. and decided i should keep track of my art ideas and projects too. and this is great because with the shows especially, i've made a system where i watch one (or more if i have the time) episode of a show a day, and then make my way down and alternate between shows every day. and so far this has been working out great for me. but standing back and looking at my list is just making me say Oh, god. if you're wondering what's Eliza watching/reading/needing to work on, i have excellent news for you:
Tumblr media
i'd also like to add that this is all on top of a continuation of last year's resolution in which i have thousands of golden age cartoons listed in a google doc, i roll a random number generator, and let it dictate the GAC i watch for the day. i am drowning

deciding to check the jgy tags after a couple of days spent not doing that was. a mistake.
anyway the good or bad news to my stupidly busy schedule is that i don't have time to argue with people i don't know on the internet right now

Just adding this on, but this isn't an attempt on my part or an encouragement to harass these people, though I'm sure everyone reading this already knows that. Just a means of letting others know who's behind at least some of the harassment lately.
Alright, well, here comes the call-out post that I promised anon. Have fun with it, I guess. It's about to get long, folks. A group of @tsuki-no-ura followers, who's been obviously vague posting about me for months at this point, specifically targeting every topic I discuss on my blog by making counterarguments to it on their blog, even though I never directed any of my analysis posts or anything else at them, nor has anything I've ever written been in direct response to anything they've written, is certainly behind at least some of the harassment. And other than the times I've tried having conversations with tsuki in the past, when I used to follow them, and wanted to discuss their posts with them, which almost always went ignored, I haven't at all addressed them or made reference to them, either implied or specifically, in any of my analysis posts. I only made reference to them a few weeks back when I found out that they'd essentially said my defense of Levi's violence was tantamount to Nazism, which I wasn't going to let stand. That's the only time I've ever directly referenced them. And yet, every time I make an analysis post, a counterargument to it magically appears on their blog the same day or a few days later, something that was brought to my attention by a mutual of mine. I had no idea until a couple weeks ago that this was happening, because I stopped following them more than a year ago, and only just recently blocked them. But they're obviously stalking me. And, inevitably, every time they do this, a slew of anon hate messages get sent, both to me and various other blogs that I follow, or that follow me. This isn't a coincidence:
@clearavenuelover, @66honeybadgers, and I'm sure various other of their groupies, are the ones almost assuredly largely behind the anonymous attacks on Levi blogs over the last, several months. They start out with their passive-aggressive bullshit, and eventually, of course, it turns to outright hostility, because that's just who these people are. @clearavenuelover purposefully tagged me in one of tsuki's posts, and so obviously they're aware of their followers harassing other Levi fan blogs. This is the link to the post they tagged me and other Levi fan blogs in: https://www.tumblr.com/tsuki-no-ura/739123803956854784/okay-so-here-i-come-with-my-discourse-causing
Tumblr media

And yet more evidence that these people all congregate in the same circles and circle-jerk each other over how they think they're "winning" some non-existent contest against me and other Levi fan blogs.

And look who liked this answer as soon as it was put up:

And here @66honeybadgers is again, name-dropping tsuki-no-ura while they continue to harass me:

And this is clearly the same douche-bag that asked me a few weeks back if I considered myself a "Levi expert", and has now, over the last two days, continued to harass me for daring to express my opinion about Levi on my own blog, dropping the "friendly" act and showing their outright hostility:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is clear harassment from a very specific corner of the fandom, mainly, surprise, surprise, eruri shippers, or even just Erwin stans who want to make everything about him, and get angry at anyone who dares to express any different view from the ones they hold, to the point of actively seeking out and stalking our blogs, hate reading our posts, going into our inboxs and sending us anonymous hate messages, trying to cram their opinions down our throats and then getting upset when we don't listen or accept their views. And then they want to go around acting like they're all the victims. What a joke these people are. Anyway, I just thought I should make this post so that actual Levi fan blogs can know to avoid and block these assholes. I can't say if they're behind ALL of the harassment, but they're certainly behind some of it, and it's good to expose them because they're cowards, and once they've been exposed, they won't have the fucking balls to continue.

You know, I think in-universe there would be shipping wars in the SOLDIER fanclubs where geneseph fans would have flame wars with sephgeal and gengeal fans. I can just imagine the fan club drama when both Genesis and Angeal go missing/declared dead and suddenly Zack shows up all the time around Sephiroth. Poor Zack would be the subject of so many locked forum debates for «stealing» Sephiroth or «usurping» Genesis/Angeal

sometimes i don't even have a concrete explanation behind disliking an episode. sometimes it just sits weird in my gut. is that not reasoning enough?

REAL REAL REAL. FINALLY SOMEONE SAID IT. some of the twisted wonderland fans be so obnoxious about how a character “WOULD NEVER DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT” but within the same day they’ll post about how a ship is actually canon. or they’ll make a headcanon that is just them projecting themselves onto the character. like which one is it? do you hate people mischaracterizing or are you okay with people having fun? cause there’s literally nothing wrong with making headcanons, regardless of how in character it is. have fun. write whatever tf you want. but the moment i see you berate people for making shit ooc, and then go onto write the same type of shit, that’s when i have a problem.
Im glad my sentiment is shared. Honestly speaking, writing characters that either don't belong to you or that you dont have a full analytical grasp on isn't a walk in the park. Theres a lot of ways to make mistakes, and that's absolutely fine.
Some writers are seemingly alright with adding their own headcannons to characters, yet will yell at others for doing the same.
If you dont like a certain way a writer wrote/ portrayed the character, you're more than welcome to open a google Doc and try to do any semblance of a better job. However, that shouldn't be used as ammunition against the other.
If a person wants to write azul being a CEO of a conglomerate or riddle as a sheltered young master, so be it. But you know what? You're not better than them because you refuse to broaden your range.

Anyone else notice how dismissive insults like “please go outside” and “touch grass” get leveraged almost exclusively at autistic people for caring about things “too much”? Maybe it’s time to retire those phrases js

can we just talk about a sad thing about ai art that i havent seen anyone talk about 90% of the joys of making art IS the creation process. doing that problem solving, the textural feeling of what youre using to make the art. watching it start to take shape. the little compromises you make on your vision due to skill level or art style. learning new skills, big and small. its not as fun to just snap my fingers and have what i wanted to magically appear. i WANT to work for it. working for it is the best part.
and now people take that for granted. who cares, you get the final product. who cares if theyre missing out on the bulk of the actual creative process. it doesnt matter to them. its really heartbreaking.

went to look at the deltarune eshop page on my switch bc i already had chapters 1 and 2 on there (got for free) and i was like. oh i'll just need to like buy chapters 3 and 4 separately probably or something
so i went to my deltarune game and clicked to view it in eshop and then got a "game not available" and. got very confused until i looked it up and figured out the game was relisted on the eshop and the chapter 1 and 2 is the free demo. so there's two versions of the demo i just have the old one. but i'll still be able to transfer it over when i get the full game
though i think right now it's uh. a little too expensive for me unfortunately 😭 i fully understand why it is that price bc it's a good game i just wish it had been released when i had a bit more spare change lmao

A fun challenge to distract myself from internet discourse is to create a new recipe whenever a discourse within my fandoms is happening.
Sorry I cannot hear you over the sizzling of my pan and negativity cannot reach me over the aura of my filled stomach

3, 5, 20, 30 for questions? :)
3. What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)?
ohhh SUCH a hard question. I feel like this year, I challenged myself to write things I wouldn't normally write, so I have two answers to this question. I am terrified of HTML and find it extremely difficult to use, but I challenged myself to write something in reddit format, and it was a ton of work!! so I'm very proud of how you go inactive for a few months, and everyone decides you’re a missing person turned out. plus I just think it's really funny. the other thing I wrote that was a new challenge was smut! I haven't written smut since I was a teenager, which is embarrassing in its own right, but svsss is such a horny series on its own, so it gave me the courage to write smut for the first time in years! check out Business Incentives for moshang and The Strap™
5. What work of yours got more feedback than you expected?
self-written dreams has made me fucking insane. I posted this fic in September, what the fuck do you mean it's got more hits than any other fic I've ever written. what do you mean it has nearly double the kudos of my second most kudos'd fic and more than twice the bookmarks of my second most bookmarked fic. it's also my third most commented on fic and my second most subscribed fic, despite being a oneshot. what the fuck guys. thank you scum villain fandom for being so insanely supportive!
20. Which work of yours have you reread the most?
we're now on third most reread fic lol probably Business Incentives again. I am just a humble lesbian <3
30. Biggest surprise while writing this year?
definitely how receptive the svsss fandom is!! svsss is a story that's inherently wrapped up in the relationship between writers and readers, and I think there's something about how it's a story about storytelling that particularly appeals to writers, which in turn creates a fandom that's super supportive of fan writers, because most of the fandom are writers themselves! I've been in fandoms where you have to beg for comments, but the svsss fandom has always surprised me by leaving frequent comments and bookmarks and reblogs, not to mention fanart! getting art for my own fic ideas always makes me explode with joy, and just in general, I'm constantly seeing fanart for other people's fics and it's really nice to see. the svsss fandom isn't perfect but it is generally such a nice and supportive environment to make fan content in <3 thank u scummies
