I spend my time trying to figure out what events will come out on both servers because I'm insane.
I don't know if we're going to get another REVERSE event before 4.5 anniversary because it's close, so we might just be getting random events.
I also don't know if we're going to get the final Arisugawa story on EN after only one event after the third part. We could because it's been delayed for so long, but the other parts had quite a few events between them, so it could go either way.
If by chance we do get another REVERSE event, they can't release it to EN until after the Arisugawa stories because we need to go through their REVERSE gachas first.
So if they do that and also want to have multiple events between the final two parts or between the REVERSE events, I'm just saying...
Now would be a great time to release White Photon Trip and Serenade of Fallen Cherry Petals event stories to EN.
#if they do release White Photon Trip it would probably be before White Return because they're both White Day stories#and the former is chronologically earlier#so sorry to peaky fans if that does happen but personally I would like to have this on EN#I'd really like Serenade on EN as well. it's a really good event especially for aoi and nagisa's relationship#and pretty much the only event that focuses on that#I've already seen all of these stories on Hana Garden's channel but I don't care I would like easier access to them#and for other people to see them too#the other events that are JP only are themed so can only work at a time that isn't now (Hallow DJs being a Halloween event etc.)#I'd like those too when they can be released but it wouldn't make much sense to get them now#d4dj groovy mix#d4dj

So someone made a FNAF joke about the new upcoming event so I was like wouldn't it be funny if it's revealed that the diner had two human-size animatronics of Chip and Dale that somehow malfunctioned and the NRC students get locked in the diner and they now have to survive two nights at Chip & Dale's. It would definitely give more reason as to why Lilia and Idia are there. Knowing Lilia he would go battle mode on the animatronics or Idia could use his hacking to fix or shut down the animatronics.
[ Referencing an event set for the JP July 2025 schedule! ]
I feel like everyone and their grandmas have been making FNAF jokes about the new C&D event 😭 I could definitely see Lilia going full war general mode and smiling/giggling as he drives like a kitchen knife or cleaver straight into a robot’s skull… Idia cowering in a corner and shrieking that it’s just like his horror games frfr (as he’s trying to hack onto the mainframe or whatever you’d call it)… It’s a funny idea, but the restaurant had no animatronics as far as we know. It’s just an old-fashioned American style diner!
Crowley explains in the event why the diner is in need of help and why these 4 students were picked!! According to the headmaster, the manager/owner of the newly opened Crisp and Dips Diner is a NRC graduate. The chipmunk-themed (themed after the story of 2 mischievous chipmunks) diner uses magic to prepare the food, and the name of the eatery comes from its signature menu item, crispy onion rings paired with a gravy-drenched burger that you dip into cheese sauce. They also sell nuggets and magic-infused items like a latte where the latte art moves (Ghost Latte), potatoes that change colors (Rainbow Potatoes), and pancakes with cream that sprout trees and a little house (Snow Globe Pancakes).
The manager and some employees have gotten into accidents recently and are recovering from those. There also appears to be strange things happening at the diner for about 2 weeks. Ingredients going missing, plates moving on their own, trash that should have been thrown away reappearing and falling where it shouldn’t, etc. I know this makes the diner seem haunted, but it’s actually the work of these two pesky squirrels who also appear in a new Twistune/Rhythmic causing trouble:)
Literally just Chip and Dale but as squirrels instead of chipmunks
Anyway, Crowley summons Cater, Azul, Lilia, and Idia to his office. He wants them to fill in for the injured staff because Cater knows diners + cafés well, Azul is familiar with management, Lilia is charming, and Idia would know how to deal with the diner’s machines/tech. Plus, they’re all capable of magic (which is necessary for the diner’s dishes)—and don’t they want to help out a NRC alumnus rather than leave it to RSA?
Crowley incidates that he has already been to the diner 5 times and enjoys their thick patties, so it seems like he has personal gain here. The diner has been temporarily closed for about a week by the time he summons the boys; he laments that he missed his lunch because he went there and found it closed. (The only other character of the cast that seems to have already been to the diner is Cater.)
Azul suggests that Crowley struck a deal with the manager to be paid a sizable sum if he can backfill the employee positions for 3 days. Crowley strongly denies this, but his flustered behavior doesn’t make anyone believe him 💦
The boys are incentivized to fill in because Crowley says they will be exempt from taking an exam for a subject of their choice. Idia, Azul, and Lilia all want to get out of P.E.! (Idia and Azul make sense; Lilia says the next unit is long distance running and he doesn’t want to be in the sun for a prolonged period of time.)
Cater is picked to be the acting manager because Crowley sensed his enthusiasm and liked it. (Surprisingly, Azul doesn’t argue or volunteer himself; Idia’s C&D Diner card has a voice line where he, too, expresses surprise over this.) He is the only character with skates in his new look because they’re a personal item he brought along. After all, “retro” is “in” right now! It’s a neat extension of Cater’s skateboarding skills.
Idia will be the line cook (so he can avoid dealing with customers). Azul will do support work like washing dishes, stocking + prepping ingredients, and managing the register. Lilia and Cater are going to be servers!
And in case you’re wondering!! Yuu and/or Grim aren’t working at the diner; they drop by a few times as customers. We shoot a video at the diner and this helps to attract more business. Cater says he can give us a free item from the menu as thanks ;3c

why kairi might be the one who manipulated sora's memory
yes you read that right, and no i did not mis-type this (if you're thinking hey that should be namine!)
i was going back a few times to kh3 and i found many patterns and cutscenes in 3 that can be compared to previous installments of the game, even side by side, this one particularly caught my eye:
crazy am i right
so remember that scene in 3 where sora falsely exclaimed "the light in the darkness" to be kairi? (it's actually riku) where sora and kairi goes enters the light to made it back to the real world
previous clip in link because tumblr isn't working with me ("riku, answer me!!" comparison with "okay! i have to protect them (aitsu)! Namine can you hear me?")
as you've seen in the comparison i realized it probably a direct paralell to namine's fake meteor shower scene back in COM Sora's side. And these lines of dialogue in particular interest me
it got me thinking, and i think that kairi purposely did something to sora's memory at some point in their lives. The exact when i'm not too sure, but she had inserted herself into some of riku's part in sora's life as sora's taisetsu na hito (special someone)
i know this sounds crazy, but i think there's a valid reason to this theory
Why??
the motive is clear: that kairi is lonely. i personally relate to her character struggle, loneliness can be suffocating, just like how namine portrayed hers that resulted to the events in COM
kairi's main theme has always been about 'seperation' and being left behind by sora and riku. so it would make sense for her to crave attention
kairi might feel sad that sora and riku doesn't pay attention to her unlike how they pay attention to each-other, so i don't see it as off character for her to insert herself into a fake picture if she had the chance, especially as the love interest of her crush
she even said this back in KH1 which sora responded with "Huh!? What's gotten into you?"
or is it done out of malicious intentions? there might be a possibility for that, but i don't think it is as it goes against kingdom hearts thematic story that stays consistent over the years, that portrays every character struggle in a sympathetic way that honestly you can relate too
(xehanort is even a subject to this in dark road)
i think that kairi felt really guilty about it and didn't realized the impact that she had done to sora and riku's relationship. or maybe she thrived for it, because even if the affection is not real, kairi is still loved and remembered by someone as their precious person, and it feels nice especially with someone like sora
snippet from kh3 novel
in the novels, there's a strong hint that kairi cut her hair because riku cut his, which contributes a lot to the theory of kairi wanting to be sora's precious person (riku) where she somewhat mimics his behavior (she probably realized deep down sora cares more about riku than her)
Passing Memories
i think this also made sense lore wise, because why else would sora suddenly lost his memory of riku? and i don't think sora's sort-of infatuation with kairi is caused by comphet alone
forgotten promises is a recurring theme in sora and riku's relationship, everything up to this point has always leads to hidden thoughts and burried memories, you have to dig deeper if you want to find a connection between sora and riku, the examples currently are:
whatever is happening between soriku
passing memories jp name of oblivion keyblade that is owned by roxas
riku is the TRUE light
necklace theory: the fact that THE necklace is everywhere in the game but is never brought up like ever
aitsu (check full discussion on the internet)
COM the game (just everything related to COM, the only game with riku and sora beside DDD? it's sus if you ask me)
compared to sora and kairi who's relationship always seems shallow and on the surface. i think it made more sense with the 'why' factor answered, because every time sora is thinking of riku, kairi would replace herself in his position, just like the light-tunnel scene in kh3
the 'oathkeeper' (promise charm) and 'oblivion' (passing memories) also reflected sora keeping his promise to kairi, but forgetting about his to riku, riku might not be affected in the same way that sora does, so this happens:
+ the multiple and many instances, riku is straight up covered by kairi
some of those instances:
kairi is true darkness (ex: sea is metaphor for darkness)
xion (is said to be kairi but proven also to also be riku)
the final world
Power?
honestly, i think kairi is more than she lets on (like LUXU), let's talk about her nobody:
i think it's already suspicious that namine has the power to mess with sora's memories (because she's from kairi's body and sora's heart?) when existing nobodies like roxas and xion for example has powers directly tied to their somebodies (kingdom key), xehanort doing xehanort things, marluxia possessing the same rose petals as his somebody counterpart, (and a lot more...)
so, with a game like kingdom hearts, does namine's powers really came out of no where? we know that sora doesn't have the ability to manipulate people's memories, so who else could it be?? kairi's powers might even be more powerful
this would also aligns with the theory 'riku is light-kairi is darkness' because even at front value the game is telling you 'hey kairi is LIGHT and riku is DARKNESS' time and time again its always the reverse in certain situations, but you never got to wonder what it actually mean
yes riku is the light, but why is kairi the darkness?? yes she sort-of brings demise as xehanort's pawn, but is it really just that?
lastly, kairi is a princess of heart, and might even came from the lost masters era as it is decorated and spammed with stars (every symbol is replaced by stars i'm not joking)
it's very on-theme with the 'traitor' plot point that has been consistent in every khux game, so... (i have a theory that kairi is master ava, or master ava is her grandma, OR kairi is mom... or skuld)
in addition to all of this, i also think that kairi can also be a creature, maybe she's actually a chirithy:
however i do think as opposed to riku as a dreameater (spirit), kairi is a nightmare chirithy, as seen in their color pallet (might be a coincidence but who knows)
#kingdom hearts theory#soriku endgame actually#soriku#kingdom hearts meta#kingdom hearts analysis#kh meta#kh speculation#kingdom hearts speculation#kh theory#riku is the light

Since I have calmed myself down a bit. I will say what's on my mind regarding the situation.
To be honest JP and EN servers works in two different ways and I am currently playing both the servers at the moment.
For me JP is much more easier to grind comparing to the EN, for eg: in kiss events the maximum hearts required to get all the bonuses is almost 600 and rarely it exceeds to 800 or 950. But when examining EN sometimes it goes beyond 1000+ hearts to get all the bonuses and even I personally feel story events are much more easier to play in jp rather than en cuz the bonuses are set too high and only have limited time to grab them, even when there is three times lucky time. ( jp is expensive for me comparing to en, but with minimum spending i was able to get most of the bonuses especially in story events)
And mostly the company focuses on the profit rather than the comfort of their players. They are much more eager to launch new games and were not trying to perfect the old ones.
At the beginning they had surveys and never once have they listened to their players and went with what they wanted and ultimately it lead to losing some players..
Furthermore, the bonuses in the events are hard to grasp, mainly in story events. It was easier to get them at the beginning years and I have spent alot on them, but lately it all went downhill and I lost my interest...
Well what can we say, they are Cybird ofcourse I have expected this but not so soon. They should have worked more on their existing games and should have listened to their players rather than just dropping something all together
Ikemen Vampire had so much potential especially being mythical theme, but they failed to fully utilize that fact. The new games aren't as interesting as these. I have tried ikemen prince but I uninstalled it, I was planning to try villains but not anymore. If this is the end then why waste my energy, time and savings knowing this things won't even get a good closure.
Ikemen Vampire is my first otome game, they are the reason why I discovered so much more about these games and no other game can replace the love I have for this game. This is my family and will definitely miss them especially my Leonardo.
The least they can so is the release Leonardo's sequel and grand as the 6th anniversary election as a final tribute...
I will writing more things in my perspective but today I no longer have any energy left

Hey, new person who found this blog. Why is it that you think Fates's story is so misunderstood, and what do you think caused that? I always felt ehhh on the story and kind of just mindlessly nodded my head to the very vocal other side, but I'm genuinely wanting to hear of the other angle, because it feels like people like you haven't had the chance to be given the chance to air your thoughts out because thinking Fates has a good story in any ways is like the fandom heresy.
Thanks for the ask!
For me it's a very core, foundational thing ever since I started getting invested in literature and writing back in high school, which inspired my desire to get into the field as a career path.
And that's the idea that all literature-and art and media as a whole-has a purpose or a point to it.
The abundant criticisms of Fates almost always come from the area of technicality and expository detail, which I feel ignores the symbolic, non-dialogic and thematic throughline aspects of storytelling. An example is that people think there's no worldbuilding because "character doesn't say their country is like X, Y and Z" while not looking at the other aspects of the game in question, especially visual design, sound design, etc.
Just by looking at the classes, you can tell a lot about Hoshido and Nohr. Hoshido is a peaceful country with resources abound, so their soldiers are allowed to specialize in an aspect (Hoshido has more S rank classes) or go off the beaten path, such as non-standard class types for warfare (Puppet Masters, religious practitioners, blacksmiths, etc.)
Nohr is militaristic but also extremely utilitarian due to lack of resources. There's less specialization, and more classes that double or triple up on weapon types. Maids are trained to fight. Troubadours are called "Rod Knights" in the JP version. They have horses and heavy armor, whereas Hoshido does not. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
But beyond those things, Fates has significant purpose and themes it wants to share. Its story advocates non-violence and anti-warfare messaging, rejecting the convenient lie that humanity has to constantly be at odds with each other. Said lie being one that bad people take advantage of to hurt good people.
The story treats life as something with great weight, to treat with responsibility, especially your own. When people die, the story (through Corrin) mourns the loss no matter how much or how little we know them.
Most of all, it gives weight to your choices and the consequences they bring, yet still manages to have a light at the end to shoot for, because without a better future to work towards, there would be no point in choosing at all.
What puts me at odds with others in the FE fandom is often how linearly people treat storytelling, themes and character development. It reads like an equation, such as "Character has X belief at beginning of plot, then event Z happens to them at the middle of the plot, now character has Y belief at the end, solve for Z to understand story."
It feels like people expect a story to tell itself a certain way and are very volatile when it does otherwise. That's why it's a headscratcher that people now think FE7 has a terrible plot nowadays too, because it actually has a similar outline as Fates. Eliwood, Hector and Lyn don't follow what people expect-or want-from character development, nor do the actions of the villainous group in FE7 "make sense" to the audience anymore. But not only is the nonsensical motivations of Nergal and the Black Fang a purposeful story element (like, he was literally driven insane), but the lord trio don't have to be punished for mistakes to develop.
Fates is in the same position. Corrin develops in a non-standard, atypical way. People expect his naivete to be beaten out of him by the world, without giving space to consider that maybe the world itself is incorrect and that it needs to change. Instead of not being "naive" anymore, Corrin instead solidifies his beliefs in being against violence and suspicion, choosing to stand by his convictions with an iron will. That maturity and genuine compassion draws people to his cause, and helps cultivate a support system that helps him follow through with his ideals.
Of course, people would rather just claim that it's his siblings "bailing him out" of having to make any hard choices that would hurt his fee-fees, as if writing Corrin or the royal siblings to have agency or actions dependent on the feelings of their loved ones is so outlandish.
But another of my favorite FE characters is Ike, who also goes through a very similar kind of atypical character development, where he calls out the world for being bullshit, rather than the world "teaching him a lesson". I thought that's why EVERYONE liked Ike, so maybe I'm just weird and I should just like Ike for "telling like it is" or another simplistic reason idk.
Anyway, yeah, sorry if this is all over the place. The point is, Fates has a lot of rich components and themes to it, that was hampered by too short/crunched of a script as well as a somewhat shallow and loud portion of the fandom that is very strict in how it wants its character development.
#fire emblem fates#fire emblem#fire emblem discourse#fe14#though this also begs the question why people hate Engage's story#because Alear goes through the EXACT character development that people wanted from Corrin#i guess 'something something villains are “redeemed” too easily something something'#as if fire emblem hasn't done that since its inception lol

I have a new suggestion for Victor's possible fairytale after the second Halloween event! I'll put it under the spoiler cut for people who don't want JP spoilers 💌
After Victor's first birthday event and now the second Halloween event, it seems clear Victor has a curse that revolves around death. I googled "Fairytale death" and it brought me to Godfather's death written by the brother's Grimm.
I only read the Wikipedia synopsis, but it's about a poor dad with twelve children finding a Godfather for his thirteenth and last son. God and the Devil offered to take on the role yet the dad declined both as one condones poverty and the other deceives mankind. The dad finds Death and makes him the child's Godfather as Death takes away the rich and the poor without discrimination.
Death promises to the son that the son will become a famous physician. So when the son visits a sick person, he can tell whether that person is going to die based on where Death will appear: at the head if the person is going to live, at the feet if going to die.
One time, the son visits the sick king and Death appears at his feet. Feeling pity for the king, the son turns the king around so Death is now standing at his head. The son gives the king the special herbs and he lives. Death is angry but doesn't punish the boy because Godfather privileges. However, if the son does it again he'll die.
But then the princess gets sick and the son does it again because pretty privilege turns people into simps. So, he tricks Death again and this time the son does die because for every life that is supposed to die yet lives another life has to be lost.
So, what I think is interesting is that Heaven, Hell, and Death are themes in Victor's events. The introduction event Wrapped in Wicked Romance starts like this:

(God = Heaven, Devil = Hell, Grim Reaper = Death)
And with the mention of royalty in the fairytale I immediately had to think of Queen Victoria. So, is this maybe the fairytale that Cybird chose for him?
People have noticed that Elbert plays more of a Snow White role in his route even though he has the curse of the Evil Queen. It makes me wonder if Victor will also share more similarities with the son despite having the power of Death (although I don't think Death is a villain here. It's just trying to be a Godfather and keep the order of life in balance). In this post I talk about my theory of Victor also coming from poverty and being sort of adopted by the queen. But also, someone in the comment section talked about the theory of Victor's curse playing a role in her death (as Cybird is hinting she's dead) and I feel like that could definitely work with this fairytale!
#Ikemen villains#Ikemen villains Victor#Ikevil Victor#I used to be a little upset that it'd take years for Vic to have a post-route event#Cause I love seeing suitors being lovey dovey hehe#But now I'm learning how fun it is to theorize about a suitor's background!#Especially one as mysterious as Victor

[English Subs DL] Banana Fish Stage Play Part 1 & Part 2

Hello, friends~! I come to you this time with English subs for the Banana Fish stage plays~! Thank you to @emerald-trashart for requesting me to do both plays! I had such a blast working on it even though it got a bit overwhelming and heavy at times (because Banana Fish (╥_╥))
The stage play is just so amazing, and beautifully made...! I went into this not knowing what to expect, and I came out of it just mesmerized. If you're familiar with Banana Fish, of course it will be as heavy as its source material, but I think that you would enjoy it! The production did a really great job respecting and staying true to the events of its source, and I think long-time fans would love it ^^
The actors, too...! They were so great at their roles, and gosh the emotions and intensity they portrayed were really convincing. Mizue Kenta and Okamiya Kurumu were so perfect as Ash and Eiji, and their chemistry was just beautiful T^T>
Alright, enough rambling! I'll let the stage play speak for itself! ( ̄▽ ̄)
For those who are interested in getting the Blu-rays for themselves, I’ll provide links below~ BD Purchase Links: (From Animate JP) BANANA FISH PART 1 | BANANA FISH PART 2 * Purchase links would require proxy since the BDs are sold-out on CDJapan and were requested through proxy either way. I couldn't find them on Animate International either ^^;
Notes, disclaimers, trigger warnings, and link under the cut, enjoy~! (Long post ahead ^^;)
NOTES:
※ THE FILE IS SUBTITLES ONLY, VIDEO IS NOT INCLUDED!
TRIGGER WARNINGS:
Heavy mentions/depictions of drugs/drug abuse, sexual abuse (rape, pedophilia, child prostitution/pornography, among others), mental disorders/illnesses, gun violence, racism, general gang violence, suicide, death.
Above themes are rampant in both stages, so please watch with caution. If you start feeling uncomfortable or anxious, please take a step back and stop watching until you feel better.
For those who want to start watching the anime after getting into it from the stage play, please refer to these guides for trigger warnings: Twitter | IMDb
MISC. NOTES:
From what I remember, the stage play follows the manga more than the anime (since the anime changed some stuff). So if something from the stage was not in the anime, you can check the manga for them ^^

Im so sorry whats the plot of twisted wonderland? What is with that fellow honest guy?
Plot of Twisted Wonderland is basically the player is transported to a place where magic is real. Attend a prestigious school called Night Raven College, where you are the only magicless being ever to be part of it. Characters you meet will be based or loosely a "twist" version of Disney characters, mostly the villains side. You can say that this is Disney mixed with Harry Potter and Madoka Magica. Why the latter? Can't spoil too much, best you find that out on your own.
As for Fellow Honest or Ernesto Foulsworth in EN (despite the former name is the original JP that has perfect English), he is a twisted version character based on Honest John in Pinocchio. If you had watched the film, the character is charismatic, lies, and is greedy. In the film, Honest John would get Pinocchio sent to Pleasure Island, where bad boys turned into donkeys and sell them off. Honest John getting money in return for helping another bad guy that planned this, even when Honest John was hesitant at first. This is one of the closest things considered human child trafficking ever shown in a kid's film as it follows the book's conflict. Even worse in the book, we even read one of Pinocchio's friends that turns into a donkey, DIES from being so overworked. By the end of the film, Honest John never gets caught for participating what he did. In the book, however, he becomes blind, deaf, and disabled as punishment for what he did to Pinocchio. The Halloween event that Fellow appears in for the first time, has him following similarly to the original story. Tricking boys to skip school and trap them. Instead of donkeys, they become wooden puppets and would sell them off to rich folks that are part of the black market. We mostly hear other park goers that are young adult voices screaming and panicking, but the implications that a child may have attended there and met a similar dark fate, is still there, due to how long Fellow Honest has been doing this for years. Being a Disney game, it may have crossed some dark tones, but never as far like this. When it was originally out in the JP release for the first time, people were shocked that it touched that side. However, by the end, like the Disney film, it resulted into Fellow Honest not being harshly punished for his crimes. Instead, he lets the boys go, destroying the theme park he had worked in, and claimed that he will start a new school for all walks of life, both magic and magicless users. The EN fandom at first, were upset. Even if he was not the Mastermind behind the human trafficking, he was still part of it by kidnapping people and selling them off. We don't know what the rich people would do to the human puppets. Imaginations run wild on what the rich folks do the people turned into puppets and if the puppets can be still conscious or not after being unable to move and silenced. That's what makes it dark. The motivations for Fellow doing this is because he grew up poor and an orphan. His magic was not good enough to be able to attend school and showed disdain towards kids who had the chance to go to those places when he couldn't. It wasn't until he was picked up by someone and having him take part of crimes to earn money and food, including to the human trafficking. This backstory is still kept for JP and EN release. However, it's strange when it was first out in Japan, the Western fandom had disliked the way the event ended him being 'redeemed' by not via one of the main SSR boys via Talk-no-Jutsu (as most of the event endings would be this), but by a phone call that Fellow Honest decides to change his mind. The true Mastermind is also still doing human trafficking or worse even after Fellow left. So past victims of it are either still suffering or dead. But in EN release, people are now sympathizing him because of his shitty background. People bring things like communism in this as to why Ernesto should be sympathized and what he was doing was justified. Is it because the translation made it more obvious in EN release despite both kept the same motivations? I'm not sure why the change of heart now.

Land 1 done!
Without crossing the bridge to get rekt'd by the final boss and trigger a bad ending, of course :p
I know the game puts more emphasis on gameplay than on characters, unlike, say, FE 8x2, but damn if every little situation you recruit random characters makes me think of past FE events in different titles and it just... fits? Somehow?
Like, evil empire has trouble conquering a party of Cornia, but behold! A mysterious plague pops up, that is totally not tied to the shady as fuck necromancer who works with the evil empire and says it'd be annoying if people find a cure.
So we have some guy and his army of cleric wearing plague doctor masks trying to find a cure by, uh, experimenting/working on people who already caught the plague, even accepting to work with the evil empire because curing the plague is more important, right?
Ends justify means yadda yadda... save for the part I earlier mentionned, that it is heavily implied the evil empire is the one who created that plague to begin with!
Now, imagine in a FE game if, in the background, we had to rescue people or hear about people being afflicted by a strange and unknown disease... and if that disease was engineered by people for a further motive...
8x2? Nah.
We also have quests where people are fighting for the evil empire who is occupying their land because they believe as long as they obey their people won't be put to the sword...
(I watched my bro play the final chapter, we know how it ends lol)
Not!Cyril fighting against bandits, finding and helping a witch fend off people who are trying to "catch her" - we even get a flimsy excuse for a bikini attire in the process and an answer to the "why do i use spells to rejuvenate myself in a sexy body? It's because I won't be able to move as fast as I can now if I was a crone" other flimsy excuse, etc etc.
Now it's time to enter the land of fucked up siblings relationship (sure Virginia is Alain's cousin - who looks like his mom - and can end up with him, but this is not the kind of Jugdralian stuff I had in mind) and let me tell you, all those plot bunnies I had in Jugdral about Lester believing he was going to become Lord of Jungby all of his life, only to have his role/throne snatched before his eyes by a bum who's apparently his cousin and can use the legendary shiny bow of legend is... basically Drakengard (Drakenhold in english?), but up to eleven.
Ah, and it wouldn't be a post from me if I don't find a way to rant about the localisation lol
Josef, upon meeting Virginia, basically goes in the audio "it's been a long time since I last saw you". In the english version?
Like what are you implying Josef, she wasn't a princess when you saw her last time or didn't have the "standing" fit for a princess?
Besides, I hope the release of the october book won't blow a hole in the Josef's "you were a teenager when we last met" by releasing character ages, but that's not really that important.
This however
Alain greets his long lost cousin, nothing wrong here right?
Well, in the JP audio, he calls her with the "hime" suffix, showing as much deference as Josef, who is a retainer of the royal family. Virginia doesn't use any suffix because that's her, but in Alain's various support convos, we learn that he had to learn and to behave like a proper noble after escaping from his castle 7 years ago, and all this noble/formal stuff is something he doesn't use with his commoner friends.
Ergo, this minor thing here is important, especially in the Drakengard themes : siblings/relatives used to be close, but reuniting after a long period of time or several life changing events, they are changed and even if they want and try to, cannot be as close as they once were.
#unicorn overlord stuff#i guess the loc can fancy the script if they want#but sometimes adding too much can be counterproductive#and why the crap did they erase the suffix/aka formal way Alain uses to talk to the cousin#who was like a sister to him and to whom he used to confide to when he was a kid?#medieval 'realist!!!' flair is a box already ticked with#second son having to ascend the throne by mistake as his dad and older brother died/are missing#and the previous king accepting to foster the exiled princess only if she marries his first born#to later free and actually conquer her kingdom#granted with Alain here Virginia's dreams of restoring her land and being the next monarch melted#and this is fucking adressed in the game#both in an event in a support/rapport convo like#now that I can finally have 4 people squads the game is like#opening an entire new can of strategy/possibilities#but plz for naga's sake Travis stop tanking things with your face#you're supposed to dodge a 30% hit not eat it damn#Yana follows in her mentor's steps missing spells at 80% accuracy#I swear I legit wondered if I lost the prologue when Alcina missed at a random like lady#stop giving me more reasons to dislike you

Ikemen Sengoku Birthday Event Guide
Starting from this year (2023 in JP, 2024 for EN), Ikemen Sengoku is implementing a new format for birthday events compared to previous years. This new event type is called a Banquet Event and it has a couple of quirks, hopefully I can explain how the event plays in this post.
Basically, Ikemen Sengoku is going to be taking some elements from Ikepri's party events, but not all of them. First of all, you can't earn the birthday CG for free: you still need to buy that from a 900 coin set as usual, and it comes with all the normal stuff: the story, the CG, some castle avatar items, etc. The main difference is that the story of this event is earned slightly differently from a story event, in that you do battles/lessons to earn points and raise your Banquet Level, which at certain milestones will give you the event story to be saved into your collection. There are other milestones like avatar items and item rewards (closet space, gold, castle gacha tokens, and boyfriend gacha tokens)
How to play is explained below:
Like the Ikepri and Ikevamp birthday events, you do lessons/glam-offs/etc whatever it's called in order to earn points to raise your Banquet Level. What is new to Ikesen is that owning certain themes will increase the points you get from doing battles, just like how having cards of the birthday character will give you bonus points in Ikepri's party events.
Differences from normal story events:
Uses its own stamina system; you can't use normal parfaits or shaved ice to restore stamina. Thus it will run concurrently with other events and not interfere with the stamina needed for those
There is no event friend system here
You do not read the event story and then pass checks. You will instead raise your party level, and at certain thresholds, the event story will be given to you and saved in your collection
The number of points you get per battle can be increased if you own certain themes
Similarities with normal story events:
Lucky time schedule works as normal. There are 2x and 3x lucky times
There are items you can buy that give you event points, as well as items to buy that refill your stamina
You can win or draw event battles like usual. Draws give you half the points of a win.
This is what the game looks like when you enter an event battle:
The deck of cards at the bottom is the list of themes you have that give bonus points. In my case, I only have 1 theme of Masamune that gives bonus points, which is this year's birthday story. As you can see, it gives me +3 points.
The game will automatically select any themes you have that give the highest point bonuses, so you don't have to worry about going through your collection to see if you have something or not.
One thing of note is that there are lucky times (currently there is a 2x lucky time active in the screenshot). As with usual story events, they double the points you get, but they only double the base points. Bonuses from themes are not doubled. To put it in a numerical example:
Winning a battle gives 100 points normally. So if I won a battle, I would get 103 points, since I have a +3 bonus.
During a 2x lucky time, only the 100 points are doubled. Thus I get (100 x2) + 3 = 203 points. I do not get (100 + 3) x2 = 206 points.
Bonus Themes
So, which themes give bonuses exactly? Here is the list for Masamune's birthday event:
(yes I haven't done Masamune's route yet, sssh)
To summarize, you can get the bonus themes from the following:
Buying themes included in special birthday sets
Prize themes from previous years' birthday events (these are ranking rewards for JP, but I believe they were turned into Early Clear rewards for EN?)
This year and last year's birthday story CGs
Pulling them from the special birthday boyfriend gacha
Main route CGs (only the main route counts, the eternal route CG, the extra CG added to the main route, and sequel CGs don't)
So, what are the rewards and the milestones? I don't have a super clear idea of the number of points you need for everything yet, but here is the list of rewards for each party level:
I saw someone on Twitter imply that you need around 25,000 points total to reach the 4th part of the story, but I'll be back to edit this (and reblog with an update) if/when I get close in order to confirm it.
Meanwhile, here are all the avatar items for each level, as well as the early clear bonuses:
Early Clear Bonuses:
Is it F2P?
From my experience and a bit of guessing, I think that it'll be possible to achieve all 4 parts of the story as F2P. However, I'm not sure how much further you can get beyond that. Getting points can be pretty difficult, especially since you can't use normal stamina or glamor items to raise your banquet level.
I'll update here at the end of the event with how far I managed to get, simulating what it'd be like as someone who only played Masamune's route and didn't buy any sets/stories or get any themes from the birthday gacha.
I don't feel like I explained this very well at all so if anyone has any questions or if there's anything about this event that's unclear, please feel free to ask!

The Game of Life 64
JP release: 19th March 1999
PAL: release: N/A
NA release: N/A
Developer: Takara
Publisher: Takara
N64 Magazine Score: N/A
The “classic” board game The Game of Life is very popular in Japan. The board game is incredibly basic as you roll, move and do what the square you land on says, with the biggest choice you get to make is choosing what career you do – for the most part, though, it’s fancy Snakes & Ladders.
When it comes to making a video game version of The Game of Life, the Japanese publisher Takara haven’t just made a digital recreation of the board game, but have instead properly adapted the game to take advantage of being a video game.
Without needing to fit within the constraints of the board, the spaces twist through a large landscape of farms, countryside and cities. There are different size board for different game lengths, and you can also create your own out of different themed sections. The method of moving is unfortunately still the same – spin a spinner and move that many spaces, but it at least does something with it.
At the start of the game, you get to create an avatar to represent you, with a decent amount of options. If you can’t be bothered with this, then you can select a pre-made one. When the game start, you start as a child, with the initial avatar to suit the age you’re supposed to be at that point of the game, up to an elderly version of it. It’s a nice little touch to visualise the game more.
When you land on spaces, you get amusing little animations showing the event happening (and as I didn’t get a repeat in a game, there must be a lot). Sometimes you also get to make a choice as to how your react to a situation. These will then alter one of your four stats (which affect bonuses at the end of the game) or your money. It solves the problem of multiple people getting the same event.
This version also has “game” tiles, with a small selection of minigames to play. These are fine, but nothing outstanding, with a lot of focus on the strange aliens prominent throughout the game, with arse-UFOs. Winning or losing will affect stats and money. They can be played with one controller (so you can do a full 4 player game with just one controller), which is a nice touch for a game like this.
Getting married and having children is also massively expanded upon for the video game. When you land on a romance square, you enter the dating minigame and can visit a place to meet new people, ask someone you’ve met to go on a date, propose or work on improving yourself. It’s an interesting way to expand upon it, but as it requires landing on a lot of exact squares, difficult to do. In a “short” 2+ hour game, only one person managed by taking a chance and proposing with a 50% chance on the final romance square of the board.
When you reach the end of the map, all your assets and achievements are converted into money. From then on, when it’s your turn, you spin the spinner and collect money, which is a really boring way to end the final part of the game, especially as it can still take a while before others reach the end as well. You can also risk all your money by gambling in the hopes of getting more.
At the end, bonus money is rewarded based on categories, such as all the individual stats and a winner is the person with the most money.
At the end, each player get judged based on their morality of their choices during events, which determines the kind of afterlife you get. It’s a fun little ending to the whole thing.
This version doesn’t turn the game into a good game (it’s still 95% spinning and not deciding on anything), but it’s nice to see attempts to turn a board game into more of a video game, utilising what can be done in the digital format that would be a pain for the actual board game.
Remake or Remaster?
New versions are being made, with the latest on the Switch. An English version would be intriguing to see.
Official Ways to get the game
There’s no official way to play The Game of Life 64

Cant be the only one who doesn't like riddle as Rapunzel lol. Why couldn't it be jamil? Idk maybe its just a me problem
[Referencing the JP Feb 2025 schedule!]
Well 💦 I wouldn’t call it a “problem”? People are bound to have different interpretations and opinions, so it isn’t necessarily a “problem” to think differently. However, let’s please try to not put a damper on this situation. You can still choose to dislike Riddle in a Rapunzel fit on a personal level without making it sound as though he somehow isn’t “deserving” of the SSR.
Speaking as someone that’s in the process of writing a twisted retelling of Rapunzel featuring the Twst characters, I did consider Jamil for a role—but as Mother Gothel, not Rapunzel. (Kalim was Rapunzel in one iteration of my retelling, since Jamil is the one controlling him in book 4). I feel like Jamil definitely has the long hair for standing in as the princess and could fit in with the “Road to Freedom” tagline mentioned in the event title, but the characters’ background doesn’t match as well. Yes, he has a restricted life due to his place as a servant, but he isn’t sheltered or manipulated by a mother figure to the same degree that Riddle and Rapunzel are. Jamil is out in the world doing things—but Riddle lacks knowledge of practical applications and other normal life experiences.
The event isn’t out yet, so we can’t be sure how much the degree of similarity to Rapunzel actually matters for the story or setting. (The events typically do explain why these particular boys were chosen for the occasion.) However, if the story does end up touching upon certain themes… well, I think we’d quickly understand why it is that Riddle was given the SSR. Jamil also currently has more event SSRs than Riddle, so maybe it’s as simple as “it’s Riddle’s turn on the XBox.”
Here’s another way to think about it if it helps with any disappointment you may be feeling? Event stories usually do not impact much in the grand scheme of things. If Riddle experiences any character growth, it won’t be HUGE. So if Jamil was in his place as the SSR and working toward achieving the “freedom” mentioned eadlier, I doubt he would be making any significant headway. Jamil’s issue is ultimately far more complex and wouldn’t be resolved or reaching breakthroughs in the span of a short event. I don’t see Riddle doing a ton either; at most, maybe thinking more deeply about his relationship with his mother and eventually finding his own independence.
I’m sure Jamil will have more opportunities for character growth and cool costumes in the future! For now though, he yields the stage to Riddle.

Something that make me curious about blot(part 1)
I have already mention in my previous post about blot. But there's actually reason why i was curious by Vil's blot data in ch 6
First of all, the thing we know about blot is mainly from what people said or when we see the character interaction talking about blot.
This actually make me curious of what Idia's and S.T.Y.X found about blot that isn't shared with the public?🤔
We know that depends on how big the magic gems is and maybe also how powerful the gems is affect how fast blot is accumulated. This is shown mainly in vargas camp story(both the one with athletic or cultural club)where they used the gems fairly fast when used their magic but when something like that would not be too hard if they have their pen they usually use.
Blot itself also affected mainly by emotions, especially dark emotions like envy, anger, hatred, etc. We know that to make blot vanish we need to eat, and get rest or basically just relax and just forget the stress you have in your head and body. This actually make me question-
How much a blot can be accumulated to be considered "normal"?
Because each of us can have different blot accumulated that we thought are normal but other would thought it was only very little or a little too much to others. This is where i wonder what Idia mean by "normal" for Vil. It is normal for human? Or for people his age? Or for people in situations? Or other things? I would also want to know about leona and jamil if they also have emotional distress inside or not even if they know it's a fake.
The reason i say for human is because we know that the magic pool for each race is different. We know the most who have the most magic pool, the beastman and the human race is actually was shown to be similar in so many ways except for the animal trait for beastman, so we can assume they have the same magic pool for each individual or maybe beastman is a little higher. For merman, we never have a really canon say in-game, but from what ldia said azul tend to preserve his magic, because his magic pool. Of course it can be just because azul not really work his magic really much when he is child unlike riddle that's why riddle have more but maybe they have more and it just riddle that have more since..... you know his mom.
And regarding magic pool, we know from recent event that there is a flower called firelotus(the flower rollo grow(idk what the jp name is)), and what if that firelotus and blot working in the same way? So when they're meet they either cancel each other or one of them going to survive but not too long? Because technically blot is kinda like dark magic and normal magic is white magic like usual magical world theme where the dark magic(or in some called miasma(?)) actually shown to be bad for plants and human, while white magic is usually help plant and people alike like how normal magic is like fertilizer for the firelotus and how we can use magic for our need.
Also i wonder if S.T.Y.X actually have record of how much blot can increase depending on what emotion the user have. I'm going to use the NRC pen for the gems example for this. Like maybe if you feel betrayed the blot accumulated in your pen fill the 1/10 of the gems, or when anger, you get it into 1/20 or 1/25 of the gems, or something like that.
That way we may know how the overblot feelings when they fought the fake vice leader, kalim and ruggie. Like if the increase show how much we distress, or guilty. The one known to show this is azul and riddle by not only their face but also their data. For the other three they have normal blot accumulated data, but what if their data is actually show an increase but because their usual accumulated blot is low compared to how normal blot accumulated is, their increase was thought as something completely normal but they actually show distress? Or maybe one of them lie about their emotion to even their own self? This is why i want to know about their usual data vs emotional fight data(that's how i name the battle with the vice)
I have another theory about blot and firelotus regarding overblot but it will be in the next post since it may be a bit long to discuss

in my latest attempt to drag unsuspecting new fans into the ginhiji/hijigin swamp, i've collated some information about idiosyncratic terminology, dates and emoji you might see in the (jp) fandom.
it's a bit too fandompilled and specific to really be a primer, but it's a collection of knowledge that will hopefully make tentative forays into the jp fandom a little easier to understand.
this post has been kicking around my drafts for over a year at this point, but the run of july anniversary days made me remember it, so i'm just gonna release it into the wild and keep it updated as things come to mind. suggestions are always welcome via comments or ask!
terminology
1046: this is the hijikata number, representing tou-shi-rou (10-4-6). members of the jp fandom often like to post at 10:46 as an acknowledgement of this, though sometimes will post "1047!" or similar when they just miss it. 551: this is the manga chapter in the saraba shinsengumi arc where they exchange their bowls of food, a milestone moment for all of us. tangentially, as a result of this the chinese food chain 551 horai does good business with ginhiji fans - you will often see people posting photos of their 551 goodies or outside the stores.
azuki mayo don: the name of the ginhiji petit only at doujinshi events. often shortened to azumayo. (jp: あずきマヨ丼) inu no esa to neko no esa: the name of the hijigin petit only at doujinshi events. literally 'dog food and cat food', from their respective insults of each other's meals. often shortened to inuneko. (jp: いぬのえさとねこのえさ) kabukichou daishuukai: the name of the gintama only at doujinshi events. (jp: かぶき町大集会)
onedraw, onewrite: not exclusive to any particular fandom, but broadly refers to artists creating an illustration or piece of writing within a one hour time limit. often fandoms will have twitter accounts where organisers will choose themes and a time so participants can post under a hashtag with their work, e.g. the hijigin one. (jp: ワンドロ, ワンライ)
for unfamiliar ship names (e.g. pattsuchi, fokkuro) see the ginhiji variant post.
noteworthy dates
may 05: hijikata birthday (0505) 10: hijigin day (0510)
july 23-24: middle birthday, i.e. the halfway point between their two birthdays. generally just celebrated as a fun ship day, like a minor 1005/0510 (jp: 真ん中バースデー) 27: anniversary of the bowl exchange chapter (551) release day in the manga, originally in 2015. (jp: 丼交換記念日) 30: anniversary of the "i'm gonna go search for the yorozuya" chapter (692) release day in the manga, originally in 2018. (jp: 捜しにいくよ記念日)
october 05: ginhiji day (1005) 10: gintoki birthday (1010)
there are some other relevant days (e.g. see this gh list made by mizushima) but the ones above are the major celebration days where you'll see larger numbers of related posts and art.
you may see zessan art on the 23rd of each month (because it looks like Z3), e.g. kannagi drew middle birthday zessan art in 2024.
in the first week of every month, you'll see a lot of tweets tagged with #ひらいて赤ブー and a ship name. these are tweets that are made to be retweeted as much as possible, as the RT counts influence akaboo's (major doujinshi event organiser) decisions in holding particular petit only events. in these tweets, character names are often obscured in creative ways, as the jp fandom is generally pretty particular about not having the orthodox spellings of character names included in ship content.
emoji
🍓: gintoki 🚬: hijikata 🍓🚬: ginhiji 🚬🍓: hijigin 🍭: ginpachi 🚭: 3z hijikata
🌊, 🌊📦: wavebox; anonymous messaging service that creators often use to take requests, solicit feedback etc
🛁: in the doujin context, this represents fromagee, which is the female-focused section of melonbooks. melonbooks are one of the major sellers of doujinshi, and the one overwhelmingly used by the ginhiji/hijigin doujin communities. so used because bath in japanese = furo, the first two characters of the jp spelling of fromagee. 🐯: in the doujin context, this represents toranoana, who are the other major seller of doujinshi. a small number of artists additionally sell on tora, and a smaller number still do so exclusively, but fromagee is currently the preferred storefront for ginhiji/hijigin (and i think all gintama slash ships). tora = tiger.

ive only got recent info to work with and not the old fandom stuff, plus whatever scattershot worth of trivia i have about the more legal side of LGBT movement in japan for the past 20 years or so.
i think pre-trigun stampede era, the answer is... yes, maybe? if we take the trope of gender bending to be proto modern transness, then yes there has absolutely been a couple of gender bender fanart and doujins in the space.
the word 女体化 is specifically what id use. tracking with pixiv currently im able to find a vash gender bend fanart that dates back to 2009. the oldest jp fic i could find on pixiv dates back to 2012.
another related trope is mpreg. or just pregnancy. so its definitely definitely there, i remember stumbling across some VW baby fics here and there but in terms of actual significance idk since works get deleted all the time at the creators' discretion.
other related tropes: futanari, omegaverse, カントボーイ(cuntboy, and yes thats unfortunately the term they use.) i cant find any pre 2023 of the above without diving into trenches but put a pin in this.
its important to note here that due to cultural reasons, a strict gender binary of clearly separating the sexes has been going strong until only recently. im not sure how much this informs or reinforces it, but until 2023 it was not possible for a japanese citizen to legally change their gender if they were:
under 20
with working gonads
have kids under 20
married
if their genitalia's appearance did not resemble their desired sex
meaning. like. one would lose their basic human rights. so HRT in itself was something not easily accessible without a lot of grief, and gender dysphoria was just seen as either A) a mental illness or B) a western virus. even if people argued about it the powers that be, the conservative Liberal Democratic Party legally forced things to be that way. and discussions surrounding it was soft and not mainstream. so gender intersectioness afaik isnt an idea as played around with back then. but as the EN discussions surrounding this grew it influenced the jp side too.
(note that futanari is a JP originating term and cuntboy is a en originating term. an extremely unfortunate one for the latter that stuck considering the terrible connotations in EN sphere.)
anyway, note that im using past tense bc indeed, the laws regarding that had changed due to shinzo abe, the then prime minister of 2022 and figurehead of the LDP, getting fucking taken out with a shot from a DIY doohickey held together by literal duct tape.
come october 2023, a sudden shift came from the courts saying sterilization is unconstitutional, and the first non-sterilized trans man successfuly changed his gender in feb 2024
you will remember trigun stampede first released in jan 2023.
you will also remember the hell pool and metaphorical SA scene. and the pregnancy stuff. if we assume that again all these are proto modern idea of transness and even intersex, then uh yeah.

this! this means something!
and also, the amount of trans related doujin has basically gotten more and more popular since.
ive then managed to snag quite a lot of doujins that involves trans vash being portrayed less as a throwaway trope in fiction and handled more with more degrees of gravitas depending. there also always seem to be at least 1 new doujin with all the above themes at every event. title and artists/circles are in the ALT

these are like 4 of the i think 7 or 8 i have that have elements of trans vash inside.
Deeper Donut is a collection of bottom trans pwp stuff by various artists and writers
Mechanics of Flapping Wings / 羽搏きの力学 is a trilogy of omegaverse vashwood
Bones of the Jellyfish 海月の骨 is part of a series where wolfwood survives, both figure out how to live and vash finds out he can get pregnant and then he gets pregnant
FUTANARI TYPHOON / CUNTBOY TYPHOON. as per title. pwp. some angst in the stampede side
(do not @ me about my taste. DO NOT--)
basically, yes, its big enough to be quite significant. id even feel like its the same in terms of % distribution and such of any sort of trans vash related fanwork, but the way its spoken about feels subtly different due to culture influences.
Okay because I need to know. Is trans Vash as big in the Japanese fandom as he is in the west?

Ace is King Arthur Theory Part 2:
Okay with chapter 7 giving us new info and other things with the game. Know I would like to make this post before the year ends, as well as a predictions of what could happen in chapter seven, and put in more facts I noticed about Ace here. This isn’t spoiler free. So know that I am putting things in JP and that includes chapter 7 info. Not your cup of tea, then don’t read. For more info for part one if you see this post, then here is a link to the first part going into more detail of my theory of Ace being king Arthur: POST Not only that I am going to go in to details as well with Silver that could be telling as well, and so this might be a Ace/Silver combo theory.
With that all said and done lets move on to the speculations and theory I have.
Ace’s brother: Annnnnnd here we go again with his brother. So in chapter 7 we find out about where the 4th years, are and it goes into Cater and Trey talking about what they want to do before they become 4 years themselves. Cater brings up, ‘‘Theme park management, and planning the shows and attractions.” To which Trey drops this, "Ace's brother also chose the same kind of company for his internship, and he got the job right away." and my mind went to this part in sword in the stone.
Now that could be a huge stretch to connect Ace’s brother work to the training of Sir Key in the movie, but I wanted to share it none the less. Chapter Seven and the War: Okay I will admit I am shocked over this. But the fandom doesn’t really go into theories on the war in Twisted wonderland. Mostly because there isn’t a lot of facts about it. The go to ones that I see people think is, that is the humans and fea had a war, and that caused humans to fear the fea because of it. This is the main go to as well, due to people thinking it might be a reference to the the live action Maleficent movie as well, which fair. As well as in the star gazer event, where Lilia says this for his wish, “...For humans, fea, and other species to live in harmony.” Not only that but it seems twst makes some effort to referencing the life action movie, then any other life action movie. For proof there is no reference for, ‘Alice in wonderland 1-2, Aladdin, Lion King, and for a stretch. Not even one for the Cruella movie to connect to Crewel’. But the life action, Maleficent movie is another story. To my knowledge there is only one reference to the the movie, and people use this as the main reason as to why believe think this is solid evidence to being the case of this movie connecting to the war in Twst. In Lilia’s SSR Band club outfit you can see he has on the side of his shirt, ‘Mistress of all evil‘ which is connected to not only Maleficent, but is the full title of the life action movie. So people think this means something or something we should take note of. To try to see where they are coming from. I will submit and see where this takes me. So from here onward I will use the life action movie for some references to my own theory. So with that said I will say this. Since we know what we know about Lilia raising Silver, and being viewed as a family member. It dose relate to the life action movie as well, since that was not in the original at all. Maleficent was mad at baby and the family for not being invited to the baby’s party, cursed said baby, and the rest of the movie plays out. She never even interacts with the princess. The only time they are in the same room is when Aurora is asleep and that was only one time.
Now on track with twst finally. If you take a step back you realize some things, that do not match up to the mind set of people believing, that the war happened, because of humans and fea not getting along. Lilia and Sebek are treated equal to everyone else, this fear is centered around mostly Malleus, because humans and most races other then fea fear him. Only on the soul fact of how strong he is and his grandmother. That’s it. So now let me ask these two questions that I think might be connected to each other. Why did the war started? and Who is the king/ruler of humans? Think about the second question for the moment. We know that in chapter 3 the merfolk have a king and a prince named, prince Rielle, who is twst version of Ariel, In chapter 2 we also know that the beastmen also have a future king named, Cheka, and a prince known as Leona, but what do the humans have? Now this is something we do not know or really asked in the fandom. Do not get me wrong I do see theories on it who it might be, but all of them point at Silver being the rightful heir to the humans, and to me it leaves into this question. If true, then what is the proof of that? Well with Silver we see moment in his vignettes and one SR card robe’s card that he is very Aurora like. With animals being around him easily, him sleeping beautifully, as well as him sleeping in odd times in both the game and manga, which funny and oddly enough connects to him having Narcolepsy. If you don’t know it’s just a rare condition that causes people to sleeping at in inappropriate times, which can not be controlled. There is also more connections to this in chapter 7 he had a ring as a baby that was of the design of Aurora’s crown. Not only that but he lived in the woods with Lilia, a fea/fairy who raised him for most of his life. Which people connect Silver being looked after Lilia, because of said war with the humans. So that is some solid info it’s Silver right? I mean it lines up, but now the question of. “Why the war started“ and, “Why did Lilia raise him?” Okay, remember me saying I am going to talk about more theories on Ace being king Arthur at the start of the post? Well I am doing it now and guess what? I believe the war is mostly in parallel to the sword and the stone. In the opening of the movie you are sung a song of what is going on in the movie: ‘A legend is sung of when England was young, and knights where brave and bold! The good king had died. And no one could decide. Who was rightful heir to the thrown. It seems that the land would be torn by war or saved by a miracle alone! and that miracle appeared in London town. The sword in the stone. It’s the only Disney movie I can recall, where a war is shared with you, that happened, and the movie wants you to take note of why why everyone is training to be king. Yet again you are also right with the Maleficent life action one as well, since there is a war with humans and fea, with the fea protecting there land from the humans. Not only that, but as I was looking at the live action movie again I found this. Well would you look at that! The same flags for battle shown in the sword and the stone are also in the life action Maleficent movie, which is also the thing I pointed to Ace’s birthday card being. Funny how that is something noticed.
“No one could decide who was rightful heir to the thrown. It seems that the land would be torn by war.” Now I think is might mean something to connect to what really happened. What if the rightful ruler to the humans died with no heir, and the humans fought for who was rightful king? Which would explain why we are not told about the war fully, because of how complex those fighting for there own reasons, and the possibility of some of these factions of the people supporting these people are? Not only that what if Silver’s family fell in the war leaving only him, and Lilia took the role to watch him and raise him to be king, Which holy hell that’s a lot to unpack right there. Cause that could mean it wasn’t just fea and humans fighting it could be beastmen and merfolk to right for these two factions? Since that’s too much even for me. let’s take a step back, and go to the next point. Lilia’s Weapon: Now the other thing I want to bring up is what we found out about Lilia’s weapon. We are told it’s his war weapon, which during battle he was so fearless no one wanted to go near him. And honestly if I saw a guy cutting people up with a CLEAVER! I wouldn’t mess with that guy either. Now on Lilia’s weapon again we are also told, that depending on who is holding it, the weapon will change based on said person. Thing is I want to point out how odd that his weapon has rose thorns around it. Now you could say, “But it’s in line to sleeping beauty’s tower and Maleficent in theme“, which sure. But there is no famous weapon in disney that looks like a green Cleaver. Sure it could relate to Lilia’s connection to one of the gargoyles in the original sleeping beauty movie, but I think there is more to it then that.
But let’s recap to what we know about the weapon. -It’s Lilia’s war weapon. -It changes it’s looks depending on who is holding it Let’s focus on the second one real quick. So that means it could look like anything to reflect that person, right? So if that is the case then it can look like a dagger, sword, hell maybe even a frying pan? It all depends on the person right? So it’s a endless thought of possibilities on what it could be. With this train of thought it lead me to remembering something else, but before I get into that let me share this fact with you. A sad fact at that. Lilia is shown and even tells you his memory is not as good as it used to be. He knows about 500 years or so, but adds a “More or less” meaning it’s spotty. Not only that but he misplaces or loses things a lot if you pay attention to some of his dialog. Now to my next point, if this can change into anything, then could it be really a sword, and it shows it true form by the thorns around it gone? Even the one who once fought with it has forgotten it’s true purpose, but knows maybe Silver should hold it. After all with Lilia getting help from Silver and Sebek packing his stuff he put it in a place they could easily find the weapon and Silver’s ring. So what if this a weapon that has been forgotten through time, and the real weapon is by the true welder? Then is it possible, that true welder is someone who is worthy of being king? We have such Disney sword. This one, Excalibur. A sword forgotten through time, and who ever pulls the sword from the stone is king. And Lilia’s weapon is a sword made out of emerald. Now what if the emerald is the stone trapping the true weapon is finally shown when the rightful king or welder is finally given to it? Also both Excalibur and Lilia’s weapons have plant life around it as well. With that out of the way the last thing we must talk about is Silver and how this weapon could relate to him or what it could mean in chapter 7.
Silver Is royalty and what it could mean with the Ace Theory: With Silver’s connection to Aurora with the necklace looking like Aurora’s crown, and in one vignettes Silver tells Epel there are rules to making a good prince that he learned from Lilia. As well as other things I pointed out, that could connect to Silver being royalty, and him being the rightful ruler for the humans. Here is the thing I failed to mention. People have said that, since he is Aurora other people have also said he could be prince Philip. And the weapon could play into him maybe killing Malleus. Sorry to say I am not one of those people who believe in this mostly because Silver is not Maleficence weakness in the life action movie, It’s IRON. So I believe this is a red herring. But I do believe that this weapon is going to play out in a big way. Yes, I do think Silver is going to hold the weapon and it will be like the sword of truth, which we know Yuu/the player will have a dream about. Thing is it’s also going to connect to really it being the sword and the stone, and I bet you are wondering what I mean by that. Well...Let me bring up something very very crazy. I know there are people who do not believe my theory of Ace being twst King Arthur, and that has to do with this idea, “They already had the dorms in the game, and no way they are going to add a new one or any other reference’s to something that has not happened.” Well...No you are wrong or you forgot slash didn’t know this fact at the time. To remind you all, but remember chapter 5 where we see Royal Sword Academy after Epel and Deuce have that scream off? If you look at the center of the place you see a sword. A sword in a stone! Not only that, but the headmaster is Merlin. So there was always connections to the movie. So with these facts what could this mean?
I think we are finally going to find out who Ace really is and him coming to NRC was to get the weapon to be king finally. Now what do I mean by that. Well let’s go over some things. -Looking back on Ace’s second birthday card you notice, that roses are around his name. The other dorm student’s do not have any roses, and Riddle’s card only has one rose and that’s for the I. Now this is very weird when you know Cater was the one who was painting roses, and I could be wrong, but Ace only talks about tending to the flamingos and hedgehogs, and never painting roses. To add to this we know that Ace only painted the roses just so Cater can do a solid for him to get Riddle’s lock off his neck. That’s it. Him painting the roses red was not a punishment given to him by Riddle. It was just Ace painting the roses to make Cater talk to Riddle on his behalf. Nothing more then that. So because of this I am wondering if it wasn’t to connect to ‘painting the roses red’ but was really a hint Ace trying to find the weapon. Roses being around his name, while rose thorns are around the weapon. - The war might have started by some human’s right to be king, then those families might have been connected to Silver and Maybe Ace’s family. (To clear this up not saying they are brothers.) -Silver is adopted by a fea after his family failed to win the war, as well as to protect him. He also grew up not knowing he is royalty while he lives with Lilia, and NRC not knowing of his past and silver happy being with his father, Lilia. -So where dose that leave Ace wanting to be king? Well...There is some prove to it, that I never brought up in my first post. Remember how odd it was in chapter 1, where Ace was so hyped to overthrow Riddle to be dorm Queen? I could be wrong, but I think he said he wanted to be king. Not only that, but in his SSR dorm card he says, “You think I can overthrow Riddle now? I am joking of course.” when you level him up. Even in the manga he wants to be dorm head to be Queen. Now I can understand when other thought it was just him wanting to rule over Riddle and get him to say sorry. As well as him wanting to get Riddle’s dorm title not being brought up again. It dose seem that way, but this could have been a early hint of his connection to a king in Disney. And the only one from the classic Disney era I can think of with it being the main character being really a king is Arthur. Which if true do you know what this means? I didn’t say this at the time, but there is so much more possibilities that could connect to what is to come or could happen. -If Ace is King Arthur dose that mean, “Ace“ is not his real name, because in sword in the stone Arthur was mostly called, Wort until he was crowned king. -Is he connected to RSA, and if so dose he know Merlin? -If that is the case, then could it be possible that Merlin is connected to him or might even be related to him? -If so then my theory about Madam Mim being his grandma means she could be Married to Merlin 63. (Ship is canon in twst if true) -Lastly as much as I don’t want to say this, but with all this could it really be that Ace really is the traitor, but we looked at it the wrong way? Ace...Could be the Traitor: Edit: I got rid of the original words here, since it’s too out there and I don’t believe it I want to clear it up on Ace being the Traitor theory. Now I do not believe him being a traitor is him being evil. I feel this more then likely happened. He was told to go to NRC by his family, since they have been working for years to find the king’s sword, which Lilia has. Ace gets in NRC, has to hide his Unique Magic/identity so Lilia or anyone in Malleus’s circle would not know who Ace really is, and try to get close to them to find weapon, and when there is a opening he takes weapon to be king. That’s what I believe. The other idea is that he is a traitor in a sense of really being a RSA student. Why? Well we are shown that everyone in RSA is nice. Like...SUPER NICE. Even when fans are like, “No they are really evil guys! Watch!“ Only for chapter 5-6 to be like, “No. They are sweet beans and don’t you feel silly for thinking that way?“ So with me pointing out in my Crowley post about how the school is low on funds, and Crowley has been doing a lot to make sure no knows, but it’s clear something is not right with how Crowley is with money. Now what if, as crazy as this sounds, what if RSA wants to combined the schools? To help them out? I know that’s very out there, but we know how well off that school is doing compared to NRC. And I can so see Merlin and some students from both sides not wanting NRC to shut down. So a merger needs to happen, and Ace was sent to see how Merlin could make this happen. Because you and I both know Crowley is so prideful he would never ever accept help from RSA no matter what. Yet again these are just ideas I believe in mostly rather then Ace being fully evil to try to kill Silver for the sword or to betray Yuu and Grim. Like I know Ace is shady as heck, but he is not evil. He is just a trickster, and good for him for thinking ahead. Edit: Now I am adding this in cause I have forgotten to, but I realized this. That being why would Ace’s family and Silver’s fight for the right to be king and be the main rulers of the humans? Well if Ace is King Arthur, then he is English in origins. As for Silver’s connection being Aurora and Sleeping Beauty as a whole, then fun fact that means he is French in origins. So a French family and a English one fighting for the right to rule said people, that just makes too much since with our own world’s history. I know it’s Twst and different a bit to our world, but once this thought went into my mind I had to share it. Listen, I will admit on the possibility that I could be very wrong in all this. There is still a lot we do not know and we do not know where the story is taking us, but if I am right....Then that means if Ace is King Arthur, then we have a character who hid there real identity with wind magic or has a wind theme to them. Now if I had a nickle for every time this happened, I’d have two nickles. Which isn’t a lot, but odd it happened twice. and so I am going to end this post with some lyrics from the video game, Sonic and the black knight. Song being Knight of the wind.
Hey all (hey all) Welcome to the greatest storm I know (I know) You have waited much too long And I (and I) I will be your shining star I'm here (I'm here) Here to conquer near and far! Like a sword, I'm drawn Into the heat of day Like a knight, I'll fight Until the fight is won In the reign, I slay Each and every, each and every Each and every one Till this war is won And I live to rule By the sword Slashing through the every inch of the power The power in you As I sit and I stand By the table I command My kingdom I’m the knight of the wind Edit: (Making this edit at 2/22/24) Spoilers from chapter 7 BTW. Future me here for a MEGA OUT THERE theory. So to go more into them fighting for king. You know what I find like super weird? How the RSA logo has two horses, and I was wondering what that could have to do with anything. If you look at the logo it’s two horses and one sword, and on top of the sword is a crown and we know it to mean Excalibur. I saw a lot of people using this as a reason for why RSA had such nice students. They help each other out by supporting each other. But...What if this logo has a future meaning? If Ace and Silver are going to fight for king like I theorized, then why do the horses look the same? Shouldn’t they look different to perfectly show that these two different people with different families are going to fight? Well...I have to swallow a HUGE hard pill that I never wanted to swallow...But I think Silver and Ace might be related. Due to future events in chapter 7 in Lilia’s memories. We find out that Silver’s mom ran away once the castle was falling and had to leave Silver behind under the protection of some fairies, that will keep him as a baby for 100 years if need be to make sure he survives. And Lilia found Silver when going back to the castle all those years later, and the rest is history. We do not know what happened to Silver’s mom other then she ran away to safety, but what if she found love again and remarried, and her bloodline still lives on...In Ace. If true then that would explain why the horses look alike as if it was a mirror. Silver is Aces Idk how many greats family member, and both have no idea about this. The main reason i didn’t want to believe it was because Silver is mostly based on Aurora from a French tale, and Ace, if I am right, Ace is based on King Arthur a English tale. And saying a french man and a English man are related just seemed really out there for me, then yet again a french man and a English man fighting for right to be king makes TOO MUCH SENSE TO ME. Also I have seen people say Ace might be Alice form Alice in wonderland, and I failed to make a theory explaining a possibility of him being the true main character...And both Alice and Aurora have blonde hair...You know what I am going to stop now. If I am going to do any more edits I will make a maga post about these two or Ace from here on out. Let’s see how wrong I am in the future or not. Until then. See you next chapter update in TWST.
