Some Gahan sketches i made to unwind while working on some commission. Last one is a bonus where Gaon is dressing up using a kimono and has long hair. It's up to your interpretation if he's genderbent or not.

I like my line works now, it's clearer & sharper than my previous ones.

Anyways, sorry for my absence of any fanarts or art works. I've been working on 3 big projects from clients since November and with some usual character commissions. Also i've been making something in collaboration with the wonderful @clawbehavior, can't wait till we can finally show it to you guys ^^

Adding onto the tags but what if it actually DID bring out Yohan's suicidal tendencies but make it angstier and more manipulative.

Yohan who tries to kill himself but times it exactly when Issac comes home, kicks over the stool noisily just as he hears Issac come up the stairs and...belatedly listens to Issac rushing to his room, bursting through the door and yelling, "Yohan!"

His hands are prone at his sides and his air is running out, he's turning purple and Issac is beneath him trying to hold him up but giving up all too soon. Yohan's vision blurs and he sees an Issac shaped blob race out the door before returning and the air knocks out of his lungs as he slams onto the floor.

Issac had cut the rope.

And Issac, his older brother, is sobbing, hitting him with fists that didn't really hurt, and screaming, "Not you too! You can't go and leave me behind! You can't leave me here, alone!" It was such a different Issac from usual, the usual Issac that Yohan had seen after the church fire.

Barely eating, crying at night and of course, ignoring him for most, if not all day.

Yohan manages a smile, wrapping his arms around his hyung and whispers in a hoarse voice, sure to bring out the compassionate side in him that didn't want to lose his only remaining direct blood relative.

"I'm sorry, hyung... I'm so sorry." But his eyes show a different story, his hands trembling, and his mouth wears a sly grin as he whispers of assurances that he'll always stay by his beloved hyung's side.

what if yohan had saved isaac instead of elijah. how would that have changed their relationship

First of all I want you to know the noise I made when I first read this question was horrendous. How dare you ask me something so PAINFUL.

Second. Let's get into it.

It's so painful, not just because that means little Elijah would have died. But because it would have effectively also killed the relationship between Yohan and Isaac. I genuinely don't see them coming out of that situation with the same dynamic they had before.

At least not from Isaac's perspective.

Yohan...nothing would have changed maybe, other than obviously he would have been genuinely heartbroken over the loss of Elijah. But literally everything he did was for Isaac. Every course of action he took in his life was guided by Isaac. He lived and breathed for him. So first of all it would have been a departure for him to go against Isaac's command to leave him. But I think that decision alone would have solidified his obsession with his brother. How much he acknowledged his own obsession and dependency, I don't know. But it would have given him something to reconcile with on the other side.

Isaac however would have been too heartbroken over the loss of his daughter (and wife, I assume) to look at Yohan the same after that. It would have been like those parents that get divorced after they lose a child. Seeing Yohan would have been too painful for Isaac after that, and the survivors guilt alone would destroy him. No matter what way Yohan tried to explain his way out of it, I really don't think Isaac would ever come around to accepting what he did.

The only way Yohan could have kept Isaac after that is if he somehow managed to save both him and Elijah, or if Elijah was already obviously dead before they tried to escape the fire. Abandoning Elijah to save Isaac would have been catastrophic for their relationship. I honestly don't see any other possible outcome.

It's that time of the week again! We have an update for our collab fic :3

Zero context WIP game ! Thank you @clawbehavior for the tag, excited to do this because I've got like 10 different wips and kept resisting the temptation to post snippets. These fics don't have definitive titles yet so the ones here are approximative descriptions

1. Ms Ji & the Kangs

“Yohan-ah, I love you, don’t cry” Isaac says, patting his baby brother’s stomach when he fusses. They’re both laying on Isaac’s bed after lunch, a bit drowsy in the early hours of the afternoon. Young-Ok watches the two as she folds laundry.

“Nanny, why does Yohan have no eyebrows ?” Isaac asks curiously.

She chuckles at the question, taking a tiny pair of socks out of the basket and folding them together. “Most babies are born without much hair, he’ll grow them later on.”

2. Conversations

Gaon swipes ‘accept call’ and props his phone against a utensil holder as Elijah’s lovely face comes into view. She has cut her hair into a bob, even bangs forming a curtain on her forehead.

“Gaon, it's an emergency ! You need to come to Geneva and do something !” Elijah’s voice immediately comes through the phone speaker, loud enough to be heard over the sound of meat sizzling on the stove. “Yohan is serious about growing that ugly mustache and the clinic receptionist keep trying to hit on him !”

3. Yohan through Isaac's photography

Gaon chuckles at the photo. It’s blurry like the objective had gone out of focus at the last minute. Yohan is giving the camera a smile and scrunching his nose, eyes closed under his fringe like he’s shielding them from the flash. Some milk teeth are missing from his gums, two permanent ones just peeking above the surface. He must have been no more than six or seven here.  

4. Gaon scrolls online forums

"Judge Oh, I have this file I wanted discuss with you"

Jinjoo comes up behind him to see just as he is about to unlock his computer. What greets Gaon after entering his password is the previous night's research topic brightly displayed on the screen. Shit. Carelessly, he had simply shut the laptop before going to bed, instead of closing the tabs and erasing his search history.

Panic and embarrassment seize Gaon on the spot. He's about two hundred-percent certain that Jinjoo got a glimpse of what was written on the screen. Omegaverse fanfiction of him and their boss. Gaon wants to explode.

"You have…a lot of open tabs, Judge Kim."

5. Another snippet from Conversations

“You have something under your eye”

“Hmm ?” Yohan hums, closing said eye when Gaon’s thumb gently swipes across his skin.

“Eyelash.” Gaon flicks it away “crap I should’ve told you to make a wish”

They’re laying on the couch in a tangle of limbs, Gaon on top of Yohan like a weighted blanket, chest to chest, book long abandoned on the coffee table. Kkomi is on the armrest behind Yohan’s head, sniffing at his hair. Gaon yawns into Yohan’s collar.

“We should go to bed.” Yohan says, voice hoarse.  

6. Sunah lives

It is routine until her ears catch familiar voices, ones she thought she would never hear again, along with the cries of a fussy child.

“Gaon-ah, give her to me”

Sunah turns around to see, to her surprise, peering over the café’s balcony, Kang Yohan, his niece, his former associate, passing over an agitated toddler.

“I told you we should have brought her stroller,” Kim Gaon’s reprimands are a refreshing thing to hear “She gets tired.”

“It would have been inconvenient though, with all the stairs and narrow streets.” Kang Elijah chimes in. She is on crutches now, standing just a few centimeters shy of her uncle’s height.

“That’s fine” Kang Yohan hauls up the little girl against his chest so that her head rests on his shoulder, pats her back. “Appa will be the stroller today."

aaa, glad to hear that you enjoyed it!!

i hear what you say about the potential completely. trying not to be too spoiler-y for people who haven't seen it, but i do think it should've ended with the climax at the end, but the rest/twist ending was a little extra.

i was interested by evilive for sure, but wouldn't say i got completely invested.i really liked doyoung and his absolute ruthlessness. kim young kwang is, as you say, very handsome and really delivered in this role. i also was completely gobsmacked when i realised that he looked so familiar because i saw him as Beom-jo in Pinocchio a few years back!! it genuinely spun me and i simply had to put more respect on his name for his versatility.

interesting that you say that your not a fan of shin ha-hyun too! i really like him as an actor (definitely skewed by my love for beyond evil) but i also don't think this role really suited him. perhaps i'm too used to associating him with lee dong sik (BE) but as i watched the first half of evilive, there was something nagging at me about the casting not feeling right. he put his all into it i'm sure, but i couldn't help but feel that he was acting; he didn't embody Han Dong-soo.

shin jae-ha was so so so good in this role too!

i ship doyoung and dong-soo in the most toxic way possible. they were fighting for the top spot in the worlds most toxic relationship consistently, and any headcanons of mine reflect that. they're both as deranged and filthy as each other, and in that way, they're perfect for each other. not healthy, but fitting. would make for some JUICY fanfics for sure.

i agree with what you mean about yohan, doyoung and sooyeol (haven't seen adamas), and i personally see most of the characters from tdj, evilive, and even BE existing in the same space. they have very similar dynamics but are so different in character. bad and crazy exists in a separate form for me personally, maybe because it's more of a comedy and sooyeol is just. funny. but i can see where you're coming from for sure.

but yeah! that's sort of what i thought of evilive. it was pretty decent, but follows the same trends in these noir-esque, corruption arc kdramas with a middle aged man and a younger man. the only big difference is that evilive is a lot more graphic and doesn't hold back on its violence and brutality.

have you watched evilive? i finished it a few months ago and need thoughts opinions words stuff

i really enjoyed it. wish it ended differently but ugh the potential!!

also, i'm not a fan of hakyun as an actor and watched it for young-kwang so the ship dynamic is hard to get into like it's very there and doyoung is just..... hot as fuck. 😭 but like i still ship it? idk im a weird one.

but also just doyoung as a character, mafia au come to life. i can't help but adore him.

like im in my hc era where kang yohan, seo doyoung, ryu sooyeol and song soohyun live in the same lil bubble, which ik this is not what you asked for but i had to tell someone bc it lives in my mind all the time now.
