I've finally finished my Danganronpa AU personal project! I personally call it
DANGANRONPA: DEMIX
See Demix 1 here
And yeah, all the swaps as you can see above, and these guys in the middle are the replacements for Monokuma and Usami respectively:
Check out under the cut for some design insights on my take AND closer pictures of each pair:
Finally finished my personal AU project. I hope it's to everyone's liking!
I can go on forever about these designs but I'll limit myself to one-two sentences on some facts about the designs.
Mikan: Mikan's face tattoo was commissioned on her against her will so that she can never hide her nature as a Yakuza, but her leg tattoo was done on purpose, and she and Nagito have matching tattoos on their legs, his is just hidden most the time.
Nagito: He is usually seen with a spear and prefers the weapon over the sword, but he is more famous for his natural skill with the blade. That said, he resents the blade and wishes he could be recognized for the things he actually works hard to do, like throwing spears or protecting Mikan and her family.
Ibuki: I kept her design very similar to her base design because she pretty much just looks like a student, and I don't want to change anyone's personality so there's no reason for her to not get highlights. But I gave her some more symmetry in this design and gave her a cute little semi ahoge I guess with a hair tie, bc she doesn't naturally have one.
Imposter/Gamemaster: Yeah I made the big brain choice to keep him with his colors as "Byakuya" because it made for a more striking visual, and more recognizeable as the impostor. Also I made him too tall because I wanted to give him big legs lol.
Hiyoko: Her four cats are named Heart (scraggly cat), Mr. Pearls (sleepy cat), Big Red (Giant cat), and BB (black cat) bc canonically the four dark devas are named after shonen manga, I named her cats after pokemon games, which she canonically likes playing. Also chickens are her favorite animal, despite her love of cats.
Kazuichi: Kazuichi's not a natural born prince, through shenanigans it turns out he's extremely distantly related to some royal line in a microstate north of germany called "Nordsumpf." Their main exports are cars and Kazuichi is still new to being a prince.
"Kyoko": She'd try her best to act like Kyoko, but she's a little too meek and openy affectionate to pull it off properly. Also her knockers are way bigger than Kyoko's, so there's an immediate discrepancy to the trained eye.
Also in my au of DR1, Kyoko is the ultimate affluent progeny and Makoto is author/serial killer.
Hajime: His hair is actually extremely long back there, he just keeps it tied up. On shows he lets it all out and a wears red contacts, his stage name is "Izuru."
Sonia: Sonia became a team manager because she was escaping an assasination attempt, strolled into a junior laegue soccer game, took over for the coach and started just barking orders and the team won. They were the worst team in the whole league and after that she just sorta stuck around them and won them the championships.
Gundham: Gundham was orginally meant to wear the japanese flag… but there was too much white in his design so I cut it. He has names for all of his gymnast moves and he announces them very loudly when he does any of them.
Peko: I tried to give Peko a unique sort of "zombie survivor" kinda vibe so while she's clearly a mechanic first she can also just fucking kill you by braining you with that monkey wrench. Most of the time she's cool though, she's just like horribly dependent on other people to tell her what to do, so she attaches to Kazuichi because he's the most immediately available authority figure.
Fuyuhiko: He's got that sort of machismo that makes him not like to admit he loves dancing, but the moment he's complimented on it he'll really appreciate it. Also he's still part of a crime family, but it's just not as strong as Mikan's.
Akane: She really looks sporty still, but don't worry she's definitely "lucky," she's just much more focused on the future than her bad luck in the moment… which can be very bad, actually, and can make her come across as kind of aloof.
Nekomaru: Why is nurse Nekomaru not as common a thing. Just think about it, it's perfect. Nekomaru here got inspired by the bravery and hard work of the nurses that treated him and boom he became a nurse, nobody tougher than healthcare professionals after all.
Mahiru: Mahiru as a nurse is honestly a really really really fun concept but I feel like I wasn't very ambitious here, and I can't really show it through the drawing but one of my early drafts had her look more like a european chef a la gordon ramsey bc I headcanon her as a scot.
Teruteru: Decided to give him a raincoat which my sister pointed out to me could also be a trenchcoat, which is just PERFECT for a creep like him. It just writes itself man, though seriously he's mostly a landscape photographer who specializes in pics of the countryside. Still a huge perv tho.
Usowa: Name is a combo of Usagi and Chowa, the word for Harmony. She's less like a chaotic force of nature like Monokuma and more a manipulative and hardline teacher who coaxes the students into doing awful things by playing into their insecuritoies with motives, and which then causes them to kill, allowing her to punish them, "weeding out the weak and undisciplined among their ranks." She replaces Monokuma.
Kyojuma: Name is a combo of Kyoju (professor) and Kuma. He's a pretty silly guy with an easy temper to poke at, but he's good at heart and tries his best to be a more sort of "fun" teacher than the rules lawyer Usami kinda was. He just wants to help his students, too bad Usowa showed up and decidedly does NOT like his approach.

Hi, thanks again for answering my first ask about Tails and Shadow and Sonic! Similar question here, do you have any headcanons/ideas/musings about Tails and Sharp that you can share? I love their dynamic in the Sharp Edges collection you wrote, and I'm a sucker for any Sonic Prime AU where Tails is the one who interacts with other versions of Sonic. Thanks!
Hi! No problem, I love answering questions where I can and talking things out :)
Ah! I'm so excited you want to know more about Sharp and Tails! :D That's so cool, thanks for being interested! I also really love Tails getting to interact with other versions of Sonic, so I'm happy to do my part to add to it <3
Sharp is (only a little) reluctantly following along with Tails's scheme under the guise that he just needs to make sure the kid keeps a low profile and doesn't end up back on Satine Rouge's radar while they're in Rogue's Row. He can't have his reputation damaged, after all, it's what allows him what little freedom he has to help people. But it's also exciting! Helping Tails on these missions gives him a boost of adrenaline that he's been kinda missing. And he doesn't even have to pretend to kill anyone!
The two of them are very similar to how Nine and Sonic are, they bond quick because they work well together and because Sharp is so similar to Sonic, just a little... sharper. They're also pretty snarky with each other, which they both enjoy, but Sharp will downplay Tails's accomplishments without remorse in a way Sonic would never. Sharp isn't as sensitive to striking an insecure nerve because he doesn't know it's there.
Tails can handle it for the most part, since he's a little more aware of Sharp not being Sonic than Sonic was of Nine not being Tails. He's taken aback occasionally by Sharp's bite, especially when it's anger that's directed at him. He can handle sarcastic quips and even the threats of violence (because he knows he won't follow through), but sometimes things get a little raw and feelings are hurt. But there's still so much Sonic in Sharp that Tails can't help but care about him. Just like it's so easy to forgive Sonic (almost annoyingly so), Tails forgives Sharp as naturally as breathing.
And Sharp's not used to that. It's every rogue for themselves where he's from. And while he's done his best to make sure others have a chance at a fresh start, no one's ever returned the favor. No one's ever cared.
So Sharp and Tails butt heads more than Sonic and Tails do, especially once they leave Rogue's Row to search for more of the prism shards. They're not completely in sync. Mostly because Tails believes Sharp can be more than what he lets himself, and Sharp doesn't want to be told who he is by someone who barely knows him. He also doesn't want to be responsible for anyone other than himself, but is frustrated by how easy it is to want to look out for this lost kid. And how much this kid's opinion of him matters. He tries to resist the attachment at first, but just like Nine found hope and happiness in Sonic, Sharp finds the same meaning in Tails. His bond with him opens him up to become someone that will eventually be the person Nine needs (and Nine's going to get a bit of an extra journey to complement that, too).
Tails will also get to interact with two other Sonics in that AU, too! Drift (from No Place) and Snare (from Boscage Maze), though Snare's name might still change... His bond with both of them is still special, too, but when they meet Sails and Mangey, they're able to bond with them much sooner than Sharp is able to bond with Nine. Sharp and Nine don't really connect until the very end of the adventure, since both of them are too attached to Tails and Sonic, respectively.
Sorry, this totally got away from me! I have so many feelings about my Prime AU and every intention to write more of it if I wasn't so behind on Picket Fence stuff. I'll leave a little snippet of Sharp and Tails chatting though as a treat <3 I can't remember if I've ever shared it before, so sorry if I have, but it takes place a bit after "Keep a Sharp Eye."
Tails sighed at his Prower Paradox Prism Position Predictor Mark 5 when it showed no sign of there being anything remotely like the energy signature of the Paradox Prism nearby. "It's gone." "Told ya it was still busted." Tails ignored him. "But my calculations were precise. Nothing else gives off any kind of energy readings remotely similar. Something had to have triggered it. Or at least had enough of a disruptive frequency to confuse the P.2.5.P." "Weird. Maybe it has something to do with the other you I just saw." Sharp cupped his chin, foot tapping thoughtfully. Tails's attention snapped to him so hard he nearly gave himself whiplash. "What?" "There was another you up in the trees. Right when your gizmo thing stopped working." Sharp twirled his index finger in the direction of the P.2.5.P. Tails gaped at him. "Why didn't you tell me?" "Well, it looked like he was kinda trying to kill you. Like everyone in this city," Sharp reminded him, an edge to voice befitting his name, before he leaned back with a shrug. "Thought it was better if you didn't know you were being actively sniped." Tails could still only stare at him slack-jawed. There were plenty of times Sonic had rendered him speechless over the years, but the dissonance of what he knew about these two versions of his best friend and all their other friends was thoroughly giving his processing capabilities a run for its money. He needed an aspirin. "I thought you said you'd never seen another me in this dimension?" Tails finally ground out. Sharp narrowed his own eyes at his tone. "I hadn't. You're the first you I've ever seen in my life. That guy up there was the second."

alrighty gang, the quest for an up-to-date pinned post is always ongoing <3 i figured i'd put up a new (re)intro bc !! things change a lot lol
about.
My name is Cassian but I also accept Viscera as a nickname. My pronouns are he/him and I am rapidly approaching year 22 on this earth.
I have been writing since I was 8, so about 14 years now, but am still constantly evolving and learning and developing my skills - like any artist!
I've written primarily fanfiction for most of my life, but I have MANY ocs and original wips and I think 2025 is the year of finally focusing on them!
For original fiction, I write primarily fantasy, modern with magic, or hidden fantasy settings. I'm also discovering my love for writing erotica and filthy nasty sex, so that's ... what a lot of my wips feature or center around nowadays!
You can read my original work on AO3 here, and I am working to build a neocities site to cross-post on.
I still write a lot of fanfic, but the majority of it is rpf/band-based and not usually something I'm comfortable sharing here - though you're welcome to ask about it still if that strikes your fancy!
Always open to tags, ask games, & literally random asks about anything. I tend to be extremely slow in answering and responding tho, so my apologies for that!
I also love music and will probably be talking about it often in relation to my characters & wips .<3
My main blog is @autotheophagic , which is where all likes and follows will come from!
Again, I have Many wips, but I will be linking the main & ongoing ones on this post as I figure things out.
I also have a Ko-fi, where I am now offering writing commissions.

S-21 The Dead Can't Vote (Or Can They?)
I am going to, unironically, ask for a box of blended tea that I will never use for my birthday, just because it has Logico on the tin. Also it is the perfect storage for my pre-order SoM stuff :'D
DON'T READ THE EPISODES WITHOUT READING THE BOOKS!!
Etched in stone, a series of Is, Xs and Vs are scattered across the plaque at the bottom of the statue of Lord Graystone. A monstrous griffon, even in statue form his glare can chill the soul of anyone.
It’s Logico’s third year at Deduction College, and things are looking tense.
TUSCANY: Students! As you know, we have not had a student president for two years now, ever since Pine was expelled. So it’s time for elections.
Logico’s not interested in that. Chessboxing championship tryouts! He could make it to the big leagues! Or rather… “The Serpent” could. But even that is shallow compared to his favorite subject: the Mysterious Irratino. Ever since he learned the name, he became even more invested in what his presence could entail. Not to mention being around him just gives Logico an indescribable feeling - but a very good one.
But today, the focus is on the election. A few people were petitioning for a human to be president, as the emotionlessness would provide the most neutral and unbiased opinion. But the selected candidate didn’t last a day. Literally. And the suspects are, naturally, the other candidates.
First up, Mayor Honey. Logico doesn’t trust him one bit, considering he was the very first criminal he ever exposed.
HONEY: Logico, Logico, Logico. I’ve changed since then! I’d have no reason to kill anybody. All I want to do is get ordinary people like me into office! Then I can really connect with you students! LOGICO: You’re not even a student! HONEY: What, because I’m old? Anyone can deduct!
Red, the exchange student eagle, is also volunteering.
RED: The government is corrupt. It’s time to strike this down! LOGICO: This is a school. You’re not going to be president of the fucking world.
The bird lets out a stereotypical hawk sound.
The final candidate is… Cheater Rulean!
LOGICO: UM, HELLO! I thought you were expelled!! RULEAN: AHAH, AHAHHA, no way! I exploited an obscure bylaw! Now, they can’t get rid of me until the student president is elected! ME! AHAHAHAHA! LOGICO: Who in their right mind would vote for you?! RULEAN: UHHHHhhh… money?
Logico thinks about what he knows about each of them, and finds a note on a table as well.
“Hello again, Prospective.”
He’s happy to see this, as he knows someone is still “looking out” for him. But what’s this “Prospective” business?
As soon as he’s about to give the answer, Logico looks up and sees what appears to be a toddler staring through him.
THING: . . . Hau may n’t. LOGICO: WHAT THE FUH- THING: If you can’t geh I’m reck round balovah.
It starts waddling towards him! He runs at top speed, and the little alien can’t catch up. But it tries!
Logico latches onto Tuscany.
LOGICO: MUM, THERE IS A SMALL CHILD WITH NO PARENTS IN THE SCHOOL. TUSCANY: …I should have told you. Logico, this is Umber. UMBER: Oogico. TUSCANY: She doesn’t have anywhere to stay, so I’m letting her take refuge here. She’ll be fine. UMBER: Want to go met ett in like bariam. LOGICO: WHAT IS SHE SAYING?!
Umber follows Logico closely no matter where he goes. He must alert the others of his decision, though. It was Rulean!
RULEAN: NO DUH!! If that human was running, she’d WIN! And then what’d that leave me?! I need to be the president and then murder will be fine! UMBER: Sink you need mutt-offs, love. Eat cow pan and udder joll blocks.
Rulean changes his mind and runs away.
UMBER: Ohhh.
Logico does one last double-take. Is she wearing a ruby pin?
The end!
Irl cartoon murdle stickers may be available to purchase eventually - any ideas for a set someone might like?
The power of Goat Lord compels you!
See you next time murdlers!

Arthurian Retelling Book Review II
Spear by Nicola Griffith
Here's a spoiler free review with my rating for anyone who wants to read it without having everything revealed. There will be a full review with spoilers further down on this post.
It was an enjoyable book that followed a very traditional bildungsroman style of plot. The author took interesting creative liberties like the gods being the Irish ones and Peretur (Percival) being some sort of demigod-like being (I'm not counting that as a spoiler as you learn this on page 4). There was also a cool take on the Holy Grail quest with it being more of a thing of the traditional cosmologies and Tuath Dé instead of a Christian one.
There's also other stuff that got changed with a new twist like Llanza (Lancelot) being from Spain instead of Brittany and also disabled, and the love affair between him Gwenhwyfar (Guinevere) being common knowledge and almost encouraged. (No clue why Llanza is from Spain though, I looked into it and the author basically said they were trying to make everything Celtic but like,, Bretons are Celtic? Like Breton, the language of Brittany, is one of the closest relatives of Welsh?)
Back to Peretur though, she serves as a cool figure as she is a very masc-looking girl whose sense of adventure and curiosity leads her away from her sheltered life and to Caer Leon (Camelot) where she eventually becomes a sort of knight. There is a romantic relationship between her and Nimuë but it seemed sudden and random for most of the book until about 3/4 through when it was like "awww they love each other." However, romance is not the focus of this book so it makes sense that the relationship is not wholly fleshed out as it is not overly relevant to the actual plot, which is Peretur's ascension to becoming a knight.
Peretur and Arturus (Arthur) clash because Arturus in this is very paranoid due to magical influence. This added an interesting element to the whole thing as he is a king who will eventually lose everything and he just cannot see it.
My biggest peeve is I did not like the way Cei was portrayed. He eventually got better and seemed to be more of a loud dumb jock figure (the author even notes he is similar to a rugby player they know). His ugliness at the beginning was necessary for the story's plot as it served a motivation for Peretur to do various acts of valor and gain her knighthood.
4/5 ⭐
EDIT: under my new ranking system for all books (not just Arthurian retellings) this book gets a 3/5 ⭐️
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FULL REVIEW WITH SPOILERS BELOW
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay I was so flabbergasted for like half the book on why the gods were Irish. Like the Tuath Dé just vibing in Wales was so confusing, then on page 111 it finally explains it. Honestly it turned out super cool with the fact that Manandán was there because he was power hungry and wanted to keep the bowl and its magic for himself.
With Manandán and his assault of Elen came Peretur's birth. Which, did not like that part as like, gross, even though I know it is a common literary thing especially in Arthuriana. However, I do love Peretur’s inherent magical otherworldliness. Her demigod status and whatnot and the way that she feels the earth around her and talks to the animals is so so so well done. I also like the way she struggles with her identity and has to confront the fact she’s not entirely
I want Peretur's gender presentation. End tweet.
This was definitely a better romance with Nimuë than the last book i read with Nimuë as the love interest. Though it still felt like Peretur and Nimuë just fell into bed together without having a real connection, hook up culture in 500AD I guess. The whole "unclean" thing was also very striking and it dealt Peretur such a psychological blow, but when she like thought it out it seemed to change her character for the better but I don't know. I didn't really like them together as a couple until right before they leave on the Grail Quest. Though they eventually do develop a relationship that made me go: Yeah, Go For It.
Love that Llanza is called Arturus’ “special friend” and that his word is held above almost all others in the king's eyes. I also like the way they say that Llanza is still an incredible knight with his twisted leg, even if he must mainly do it on horseback. I like that, I like it when knights can have disabilities and still be revered and not just be like shoved to the side. (also horseboy Lancelot, the rarest of sightings considering he typically is an accidental killer of horses).
"We both love her, as we love each other. We will not set her aside" (p 141). LLANZA MY GOD.
I don’t like the way the author characterized Cei. Why did he have to be weird towards women? Why did he have to grab Angharad and try to forcibly kiss her? I know it’s so that Peretur can show her knightly virtue and then be forced to go on quests to try and redeem herself and make herself a stronger fighter, but still. He gets better as the story goes on but I really did not like that part at all. On another note, he does call Peretur “Pretty Per” and “petal cheeks” which is so random and silly.
Gwenhwyfar. (That’s it that’s the paragraph). Aughhh she hurts me inside, she’s so beautiful and sad and the way she’s portrayed makes me want to eat drywall while listening to Lord Huron. Like that’s my Shayla. Llanza mourning the fact that she is so proud but still finds her praying on her knees in the new chapel that's been built to try and have God bestow a baby upon her??? Nicola Griffith I'm in your walls.
Then there is the whole thing with Myrddyn. That wizard being Peretur's uncle was a choice, though well executed because it leads Arturus to trust Peretur enough to go get the bowl at the end. I also like that he's portrayed as having been a manipulative man who was also pretty sinister. Like creepy mentor Merlin is the exact way I envision him in my head when I write him. That along with his manipulations of Arturus and like the hold he had over him. Arturus never had a chance of being mentally stable between Myrddyn and Caledfwylch's magical influence. The sword making him go crazy is just such an iconic plotline.
"Her mother made no reply, as she would never make reply again" (p 147). This part had me going insane, the death of Elen and Peretur's care for her corpse was so AUGH. The wistful nature of it all really hit hard.
Peretur snapping at Llanza for insulting her childhood home (the cave) and defending her mother is so aughhhh oh my god. Literally this entire scene with Elen's death and Peretur taking care of her mother once again is just so so, raw. Like the emotion through her actions and the way it kind of acts as penance for leaving her mother behind in the first place. The way she apologizes for not being able to bury her with the cup (her lifelong prized treasure)? Immaculate.
Galath (Galahad) is not a big fixture in this obviously but when Peretur and Llanza are reminiscing about their homes after burying Elen and Llanza thinks, "His own son would despise him for his imperfections" (p 152). Yeah. That's Galahad through and through, that's personally how I view him too where he's judgy in the wholly righteous mannequin way that only a strict Catholic upbringing and faith can do.
The end is so bittersweet with Peretur and Nimue talking about how Caer Leon and everyone in it will fade away into stories and legends because Arturus has no heir and so his legacy dies with him.
But like, would someone else not just take the throne? Not the point though, overall I liked the book. It definitely felt a bit flat with the traditional bildungsroman, I think that if I knew nothing about Arthuriana I would not have been nearly as enthused. However, until the death of Elen and everything after that had me going insane it was so well done. Peretur, Nimue, and Llanza going to find the bowl and burying Elen really made the book gain like a whole new level of depth to it that I really liked.
I'm giving this book a 4/5 ⭐
EDIT: under my new ranking system for all books (not just Arthurian retellings) this book gets a 3/5 ⭐️

For the Bond goes to Q's night club and does bdsm badly [tags: bdsm, s/D AU, subspace]:
I sometimes indulge in reading the s/D alternate universe fics. I'm sure they are super problematic; subs sort of have to go into subspace regularly to be healty and yada yada. So all of this is, ya, know. Not how it works irl. Don't take sex-ed from fics kids, but here's a thing, yeah? Cause I like you sprinkling up my dash with wild little 00q ingredients, and so I baked some trashcan cake for you:
He's hanging from the cross in one of the private rooms. Q has just managed to clear everyone out and is now standing here studying Bond and his disconcertingly back-to-normal breathing pattern. He can look his fill for once; Bond's eyes are closed.
His mind is still buzzing from the confrontation with the other Dom. From the way his thoughts had screeched to a halt when he recognized exactly who was at the cross.
He's come to some rapid realizations, the major one being that Bond is, in fact, a sub. All those times he's donned that macho agent persona have somehow been an act.
It boils Q's blood to know that--
To know what exactly? It shouldn't change anything. 007 is one of MI6's most competent agents; his denomination doesn't change that. Of course not. It makes it more impressive, probably.
But as Q watches the tightly controled way Bond counts each breath, his eyes tightly shut, inches from subspace but unable to quite reach it, he can't help but burn.
Bond must have been so fucking desperate to seek it out like this. He shoudln't have had to. Q should have figured it out. He should have stepped in. Should have known.
There's always been something there. The way Bond--James, really--would sometimes look all washed out, eyes snapping to Q as soon as he entered the room no matter how tired he was. The way he'd buckle against orders, but then relent beautifully when Q laced his voice with command just so. The way Q hadn't been able to stop himself from watching him, even knowing--wrongly, it turns out--that they were incompatible.
Standing here, now, Q feels like he's been cored out by a lightning strike. His insides burn with the realization, with how possessive he feels, how much he needs to be the one taking care of him. To make this right.
All in due time, though. First he's going to take care of this mess. Then there will be time to take them somewhere more private (home). To give Bond care and safety and what he really needs. Q is going to make that happen even if he has to bend the whole of reality to his will, he knows this the way he knows he could take apart nations. He's going to get what he wants and there will be nothing standing in his way.
He takes a breath and centers himself. He can do this.
"James," he says, the name feeling oh-so-right on his lips, "Open your eyes for me."
HELLO. HI. HELLO.
and yea just to repeat what I said before- anon if bdsm aus are bad then I dont wanna be right dot meme. I love bdsm aus and like. cmon are they any more ""problematic"" so-called than, like, A/B/O, or like what ppl have turned Sentinel/Guide AUs into (like the ones where there's an invented society where guides are systematically oppressed dare I say, even, rather like trafficked or enslaved?) etc etc
but um 😳😳😳😳😳 the fact that u took the concept & made it a BDSM AU.... and Bond is a sub that no one knew is a sub, and the way it being BDSM adds an Edge to the "needs the relief of subspace but Can't so seeking like a brute-force override via an excess of pain"....... ough ough ough. i feel like im chewing on a live wire zzzzzzzzztttt. kisses on the moutb for you too mwa mwa ough ough woof
#asks answered#anonymous#00q#listen. listen if u feel so inspired. i would not mind this expanded into many many more *eyes emoji*#ao3 has an option for you to post anonymously if that's giving u pause- u can post to the Anonymous collection#hrrrrghghh this setup actually gives a good excuse for Bond being out of it and not rly recognizing Q and snapping at him#like with his teeth owo Iii think anyway lol#and then Q risks taking his hand around and petting down Bond's hair and neck and shoulder.... (like when ur trying to socialize a spicy cat#and they kind of warn u but u avoid their mouth and teeth and get ur fingers between their ears....#and they maybe hiss reflexively but then are like hm. okay maybe this is nice)#and THEN once Q's got him gentled down. he starts coming around and recognizes Q maybe#at which pt Q can safely (for his own safety lmao) uncuff Bond and etc#hopefully I didn't leave a dangling parenthesis somewhere#Q gets him home and salve gently massaged into his back and maybe some gauze or a soft shirt or sth to protect it and bundled up in sooo#so many soft blankets... & then ofc cuddles and a lot of skin to skin contact still while he's coming out of his not-really-subspace mindset#lots of soft kissies to his head and gentle pets#and Bond kind of makes a rumbly grumbly sound but it's kind of like when cats don't learn to meow so they kinda grumble growl#but on a human it COULD also kind of sound like a purr <3#and also yes Q makes sure Bond is fed & hydrated to replenish fluids and make sure his blood sugar doesn't crash and etc <3#ye... ye

FACTS!!!! "A love letter to Wicked" is crazy. The only thing I would suggest, though, was have Norbert as Avaric. I was really hoping Fiyero would have that iconic entrance and say -what was it?- 'I won't last any longer at this school than I did the other ones.'', but I now understand why he had the horse. I liked that he could personally relate to the topic of talking animals and therefore was against them being discriminated. The part where he yelled "Hey!" after Dr. D was being taken away (or harshly yanked by his antlers) was a nice addition.
I actually think that giving him a Horse and giving Elphaba a Bear caretaker was one of the worst mistakes of the movie. It gives "I'm not racist, I was raised by a black servant who was almost part of the family" vibes.
What are they implying? That the only reason Elphaba and Fiyero care about the Animals is because they have a personal history with Animals that were good to them? Because I actually think that the original "they care because everyone should care, because Animals are people and you don't have to personally have witnessed them being good in order to be against their genocide" has a far bigger impact!
As for Avaric, I don't mind that they completely left him aside, because he's barely a character in the musical, and if you've read the book you know Fiyero already is Avaric (Act I Fiyero is like Avaric if he wasn't an asshole, that's why he's white, while Act II Fiyero is closer to his book counterpart, but still with some of the more scandalous traits from Avaric), and also I think NLB deserves a bigger role, being an OG, but I would cast either Aaron Tveit, Derek Klena or Jordan Litz as Avaric, if I had the chance.
(Item 11 of what I would have done - I would have Aaron and Derek singing a rendition of Popular (which Aaron already did) for the end credits, and when the name of whoever was playing Fiyero appeared it would go like this: they sing "and even in your case-" name appears "-though it's the toughest case we've yet to face..." as a little joke, because they're two of the most popular Fiyeros ever and he would be a complete newcomer to the industry, who people don't know yet, but now they will.)
Fiyero was always the one who took action to save the Lion Cub first, and depending on who plays him on stage he also acts distressed when Dr. Dillamond is being taken away (NLB did so first, and many followed), so the movie didn't really do anything new here.
"A love letter to Wicked" could only be written by people who actually understand it. Winnie Holzman wrote the script, and Part I didn't actually change anything, but as we already know from the trailer Part II is going to be a lot different, and I don't know how much we can trust her, because although she understands Wicked perfectly (she wrote the original show, after all) she has to work with what the director and producers (who didn't understand shit of Wicked) want, so her hands are tied (no wonder screenwriters go on strike so often).
Another trope I noticed they're bringing in to this movie is the performative liberal feminist idea that "feminism is when female characters wear pants" by making Elphaba wear pants 🥱. Wicked was already very feminist, even if it's a product of its time, but tell me how a male director, male producers and a male costume designer made such a "revolutionary" decision when they took Pfannee, a female character that came from the books to the stage (who I ship Glinda with), and not only turned her into a man, but that man is BOWEN YANG?!?!? Arrest everyone involved with that decision!
The original is so real, so raw, so painful and yet so beautiful. This movie is performative capitalism at its finest! What a shame!

i saw your pinned post and if you are still doing it, i'd love to hear your thoughts on the infantilization of the wellies! It's something i've been lazer-focused on during lets plays (that and the nighty night episodes changing fairy tales to have only adults in them)
Ooh!
I don't really have organized thoughts about this because I actually think this is itself not organized. Most aspects of Wellington Wells' society are things that are either artificially enforced by the Executive Committee or things that follow naturally from that artificial enforcement. The infantilization of the people though... it's not actually infantilization because it's self-inflicted. No one is enforcing this; the people do it to themselves.
There's also different kinds of ways that they're doing this and for different reasons.
I think the first and most prominent form is deflection of responsibility.
Most people are not leaders. They won't take initiative unless no one else will and yet it must still be done. This makes society ripe for exploitation by people who do have assertive personalities like the Byngs. It also sometimes leads to less than ideal people assuming leadership roles when otherwise they would not, like Dr. Verloc. Basically, a lot of people are looking for the adult in the room so that it doesn't have to be them. Unfortunately, this is the worst way to find a daddy good leadership.
Even Uncle Jack is an adult in the world of the average Wellie. They send him jokes to see if they can gain his approval, they ask his advice. He tells you a story before bed and assures you that all will be well as you sleep as long as you follow directions and do as you're told.

Normally, though, when you have children yourself, that's when you'd be forced to be the adult in the room. You'd have to take the initiative because necessarily other people are now looking to you for guidance and these little people will not look elsewhere. Obviously, this does not happen in Wellington Wells (excepting the rare fluke and even then the results are mixed).
So, in the absence of children and the impetus to assume the authority they demand, no one does! Except, you know, the kind of people who would have been doing it since kindergarten. Byngs and their ilk.
And this isn't just a deflection of responsibility on an individual level either. It's also collective and political. No one was in charge of coordinating the capitulation to the Germans (except again, Byngs and the like) so no one has to take responsibility for it. It became a thing that was done to the people of Wellington Wells, rather than something they acquiesced to in the absence of courage.
To be blunt, I'm saying that the people of Wellington Wells wouldn't have fought for their children, tanks or no, because they were still ill-prepared civilians facing an organized and well supplied military force. Byng giving them the paper mache tanks as a very good excuse not to throw themselves needlessly into a meat grinder lets them off the hook for that. Those that find out about the tanks later also get to lay their blame with him rather than examine whether it would have changed anything. They don't have to ask themselves whether they would have fought back if there weren't tanks, because now it's not about whether they stood any more chance against soldiers (no). It's that Byng tricked them - gave them permission - to think they didn't.
On a more cultural and personal level, I think there's also a sort of... anachronistic sense of arrested development. Which is to say, the people are consumed with fashion and music and their culture in a way very much like teenagers, which is funny because we hadn't invented those yet. Wellie innovation strikes again!
It's easy to forget that all our characters are in their 30's minimum when we see them clinging to vestiges of childhood, the Uncle Jack bedtime stories and hopscotch, coin-op rides and toys as decor. I think we sympathize with that because do we not also do this now as (I assume?) people in their own 20's and 30's? Are we not also watching our cartoons and buying toys to put on our shelves?
But we do this because our childhoods were the last time we had any hope for a future.
The people of Wellington Wells didn't have that as children. They hardly had childhoods at all, really. Even before the war, what would most citizens' childhoods have been like? Short and far from cosseted. Our protagonists' memories speak often of going to school. Good odds their parents were a few years into their working lives at that age.
In either direction - because it's something they didn't get when they would have wanted it or because it was the only good thing we've been given - a nostalgic past (even one you may not have necessarily had yourself) is a safe harbor when facing an uncertain future.
All of this should sound very reminiscent.

Hello again!!!!
I don't really have much to say abt Mary bc you did like,, such a good job telling me everything that I could have asked about her! You do a great job with everyone that I HAVE asked about too but you get it (I hope lol)
Do you have any like,, thoughts on Lucius? :0 or Viktor!!!! Ik you mentioned him a little while ago :3 Idk seeing him with your interpretation of Igor Karkaroff is special to me idk
Byebye!!!! See you soon lol :D
- 🍃
Ahhhhh I’m so glad you liked my little Mary rant!! I love chatting about the girls they’re just all so mwah,,,
I have a handful of thoughts on Lucius!
His full name is Lucius Abraxas Malfoy and he was born September 8th 1953 (making him a Virgo) at Malfoy Manor in Wiltshire, England. He’s the first born son of Abraxas Malfoy and only son of Luceille Malfoy née Famelle (she’s distantly related to the Flamels but as you can tell some stuff has gotten lost over the years hence the slight change in the last name!) and he’s the older half brother of Xenophilius. His mother died in childbirth and thus he never knew her and it’s given him a few issues ngl,,,
Abraxas remarried a few years after Luceille’s death and thus Xenophilius became a thing. Hestia (Xeno’s mother) tried to step into the role of mum for Lucius but he never wanted any of that and he was lowkey mad at his dad for remarrying even if he never felt like he should let anyone know.
I think he and Narcissa fully adopted Severus as like their Hogwarts kid just like how Xenophilius and Pandora later do with Gilderoy lol (it clearly runs in the family). I don’t usually base my headcanons off of the mobile game but there’s hints in there that Lucius and Narcissa’s marriage was a love match and I 100% believe that. He gifted her a Malfoy brooch to welcome her into the family I believe when they were first engaged (which would have been at some point while she was still at school?? because she puts it in her keepsake box that she had with her sisters while they were all at school) and to tell her that she was worthy of becoming a Malfoy. I think he placed a lot of values on family which is why I also think it’s so funny that the family he does have he’s like “nope I don’t wanna be related to that freak [points to Xeno]” lmaooo
I really love the fact that he’s a part of the school board. Like I don’t think people talk about that enough actually. Also the Malfoy house being represented by (albino?) peacocks and him canonically having Malfoy manor decked out with rhinestones or diamond rims or something like that in the windowsill. Like he’s so cunty. And that’s before we’ve even touched on the obvious hair care routine and the cunty bow that he 100% match with Narcissa.
I honestly need to think about him more but I think he’s just,, so funny. Also imagining Severus running around in his cunty ass hand me downs is just??? I can’t

As for Viktor!!!
I think he’s so fun. Like,, he’s actually so sweet and people can say what they want I don’t even care. I think he was really sweet to Hermione at a time where she needed it and I think it would have been fun to see them when they were older as like a fun ass power couple with him being a professional quidditch player and her being minister for magic. They’d like,, they’re so mwah to me.
I think it says a lot about how like,, lonely and isolated this kid was when the most important person to him was a girl he’d met a few months earlier. Like he didn’t have a Durmstrang buddy and one could assume if he had siblings they weren’t close and that just,, idk I feel bad for him. I like the idea of him striking up a friendship with Fleur and Cedric though despite them competing and all that
Similar like how I think Karkaroff is actually Karkarov I think Krum is likely Krumov (Крумов). It’s even stated in his wiki that it’s likely that Krum is just like,, an Anglicisation of Krumov. Speaking of Igor, I think Igor was friends/familiar with Viktor’s uncle when he went to school. I don’t have an explanation as to why he has decided to take Viktor under his wing in the way he has but I do think it’s kinda sweet. Me and a friend talked about this once but Igor would totally favour Viktor to the daughter he (in some universes) has with Charity and he’d be like “no no you’re imagining it” meanwhile we’ve seen how blatant his favouritism is lol
Now to the headcanon I’ve probably thought the most about lol,,, I think he’s got some sort of brain injury. This probably sounds a little damn okay but I think it makes sense. I think it makes sense with how much quidditch he plays. A lot of athletes have some sort of injury and considering how he went professional so early he’s undoubtedly played since he was young and I would not be surprised if he took a hit to the head a few times. I think this injury happened during his fourth-ish year (maybe during the summer when he was going extra hard on practicing at home or something??) and he took a Bludger to the frontal lobe and was knocked off of his broom.
I think he repeated a year because of this injury and having to recover (I’m pretty sure his age doesn’t line up with the rest of his supposed peers which is what I’m basing this on but also it’s 9 am and I’ve not yet slept so I could be pulling this out of my ass so keep that in mind lol).
He’s canonically noted as not being particularly intelligent (one of his canon nicknames is literally Dumb Krum) and I think this is in part because of this injury and the issues that followed him afterwards. I specifically think he’d had struggles with reading, both being slow at it and having poor reading comprehension as well as having a poor memory and being prone to confusion. (I also see him struggling with speech at times, perhaps some struggles with grip (which would be especially frustrating and something he’s working hard to overcome given his quidditch position) and since he’s noted as a bit of a klutz I wouldn’t be surprised if he bumped into things a lot).
His Transfiguration spell during the second task in the tournament is not done properly. Even if human transfiguration is a more difficult kind of transfiguration I would assume that if he’s smart enough to cover the basics, Igor (given his own talents with the subject) would have made sure his favourite student had mastered it. Whether this is something he was able to do before his injury I’m open to any takes on. He’s mentioned as someone who’s confident in his duelling skills but not necessarily good at duelling and even though Dark Arts are mentioned in his wiki it’s only in regards to things he did under the Imperius Curse
Also!!! Completely unrelated to me thinking he’s got a brain injury, I am a skinny twig looking Viktor Krum stan. I will always be mad we didn’t get to see him like that in the movies because he’s quite literally described as Severus and Igor’s love child lmaoooo
Can you tell I’ve been waiting to talk about him?? He’s like,, one of if not the only golden trio era character I care about lmao
I hope you enjoyed my little ramble cjfncjnfjc I saved my thoughts about these two for a bit to send something fun your way!!

LITA (jpn) Episode 1 Feelings
I watched the first ep of the Japanese LITA and I kinda wanna talk about it. I absolutely love the OG. It is probably one of my top 5 Thai BLs and top 10 BLs overall. I know and recognize the problematic tropes that Mame is known for using, but I think that overall the ones she brought into LITA were handled remarkably well.
But that penchant for using iffy tropes makes her work a bit scary to adapt I think. I am and will continue to be nervous over how they handle Sky's story, because that is where you have kind of the biggest pitfalls. Rain and Payu's story has some potential hurdles, but since kinda the main issue for it in the OG is how the D/s dynamic is handled (not well bc Mame doesn't really know how to handled it super well) and is that going to be exacerbated or improved in the Japanese adaptation? I'm only on episode one, so I couldn't really say. We'll really have to see how things play out in episode two to know, I think.

I know some people had very strong reactions (some very wrong- I'm looking at you the 'Payu's actor doesn't look like a top' people) to the casting announcements for the adaptation. (I made a little graphic to show who is who.) They've made some changes to their names, which is reasonable and makes sense, but I do think it's kind of odd in some ways how they went about it. It seems clear they changed Rain to Rei and Sky to Kai because those sound similar, and the changed Payu to Arashi and Prapai to Fuma because those names match the meanings of the original Thai names. Why it strikes me as a bit odd is that the novels are named Love Storm and Love Sky, so in my mind, those would be the names you would want to retain their original meanings, but I digress.
As far as casting, I thought everyone looked fine, but it's how they express the characters that matters most and while we don't get much of Prapai in this first episode (just a sprinkling) I will say the portrayals of Payu, Rain, and Sky are very promising.
We'll talk about Rei first, because there's just more to talk about there, he is the main character. I have mixed feelings on how the sort of inherent silliness of the Rain character is adapted, since when Japanese BLs do comedy it's a very specific brand of over the top...and adding that to Rain's already sort of overdramatic nature can be overwhelming.
Rei (and the actor who plays him) does go a little too hard for my taste sometimes, but it is reined in more than I kind of expected...at least so far. The whole concept of Rain is kind of young/foolish/a bit brash, and that's very well shown here. Rei I think comes off a bit more sexually aware, in that it's not quite the big doe-eyed innocence of Noeul's Rain, but it's still has that undertone of inexperience. We do see that curiosity of the character truly maintained, which I really am happy about, because I do find it to be one of Rain's best traits. I talked before about how Rain is kind of the classic ingenue character.
We see that upheld here, especially in terms of Rei continuously just believing the best of people, but also in the relationships he has with Kai and Arashi, who have a desire to protect him, though they both go about it differently. It's been a very long time since I read the novel, and I did intentionally not do a rewatch of the og because I didn't want comparisons to be coloring my view of the adaptation. But I will say that the kind of speaking without thought aspect of Rei is something I find pretty delightful. Rain did have that also, but I think they relied more on internal monologue for him, so only us as the audience was aware of his thoughts.
Talking about Arashi or Payu, it's difficult to get much of a read on him. Since this episode is basically from Rei's perspective, we only know as much about Arashi as he does. Just as Rei doesn't really know what to think of him, neither do we. As we know from the source material and the og series, he is a character that's a bit cold on the outside, but has his own softness and warmth. I think that concept is a difficult one to portray, and I think looking back it's almost surprising how well Boss managed to do it, especially in epsiode 1. Shoma (Arashi's actor) does a good job with this very difficult task. I don't want to continuosly compare one actor to another, because I think that's kind of pointless, but I think there's potential opportunities that might have helped to add that warmth. They've done some cutting down of the source material to fit a very different runtime (10 episode of about 30 minutes compared to 13 1 hours episodes) which I think cuts out the slower moments of Payu/Arashi watching Rain/Rei and us getting to see his facial expressions portray his feelings. But truly that a director/producer issue, not an actor one in my opinion. I've seen some discontent over how Arashi doesn't appear to be as wealthy as he is in the og, and while I guess that's true, I never felt like his financial status was super relevant to the plot in the og series. It's relevant to Prapai/Fuma's but not to Arashi. Him simply being older, established in his chosen career, lends the appropriate level of contrast between him and Rei's life experience. I was very happy to see that they kept the short scene at the end of the episode to really show us Arashi's gentler side. I think it was one of the most necessary things in the og version to help us really know how much affection Payu had for Rain, and that it wasn't simply a sexual cat and mouse game for him, so seeing it really helped to reinforced that knowledge in the adaptation.
Side note: I feel like for many people the NC scenes are what is iconic about the og series, and while they are certainly amazing, they're not what I would present as the most representative of the show. The quiet moments are what really show the heart of the series.
Now to talk about Kai. Sky is my favorite character from the series, so I have a lot of affection for him. The actor looks perfect from what we've seen of Sky as portrayed by Peat, but in adaptations, it's definitely not whether actors look like the previous actors, but how they inhabit the character. We're still in Rei's POV, so we only know as much about Kai as he does, which is not much. Kai is very closed off to us in many ways. But we do see the two kind of defining traits of Sky/Kai which is his sarcastic/dry humor and his quiet care of Rain/Rei. The deliveries from Reo are spot on in terms of humor, and I do feel like even when he scold Rei or teases him, there's very much an affection there.
I think that's all I have to say about it so far. We'll see where things go for episode 2. But I am enjoying it, which doesn't surprise me in itself, but I do sometimes wonder if I'm accurately expressing that while I have all of these thoughts or what could be seen as criticisms, I am having a good time.

1223-004
December being my birthday month, I decided to treat myself and upload 10 of my favourite songs of all time :D That means that this will be the first rotation that contains something else than only japanese music AND that the genre will be all over the place lol
As usual, the link for each individual song is in their title and the link to download everything all at once is at the bottom of the post
So in this birthday pack, you'll find :
Dalida - Mourir sur scène
Mourir sur scène (literally "to die on stage" although an english version of the song exists as Born to Sing, though i kind of don't like her english singing voice as I feel it lacks depth...) is my favourite Dalida song, in which she addresses death directly. By the time she recorded this, she had already attempted suicide and I do believe that her love for singing and being on stage made her life bearable enough, at least for a while (she did end up killing herself, in the end). She was a very tragic grande dame and that weighs a lot in my love for her, I have to admit. Mourir sur Scène was a single on an eponymous album released in 1983
youtube
Dir en grey - Lotus
This song was an love at first hearing and it's still as good as it was the first time I listened to it. It's just one of these songs that grabs my heart, will not let go, and will crush it and leave a gaping hole in my chest by the time the song is over kfjshksdjfhksjdfh Lotus was a single from Dum Spiro Spero released in 2011
youtube
Evanescence - Imaginary
I first was introduced to Imaginary through the version that is on Fallen. The thing is, Evanescence is the first band ever on which I hyperfixated. One album wasn't enough. I went on to find the Fallen demos and the Origin demo album. The version you're getting here is the version from Origin. I have not gone back to listen to the Fallen version since lol (the Synthesis version isn't bad either !) So this version of Imaginary was on Origin, released in 2000
youtube
Gothika - Fata Morgana Android
I'm still wondering if this is my rip from the album or my rip from their MySpace LOL. So yeah, I first heard this as an untitled track on MySpace, back when they had just changed their name from Euthanasie to Gothika. I also don't think they made a better song than this... ^^; Fata Morgana Android was on the album 120 Days of Sodom, released in 2007
youtube
Hora - Ains5
I JUST FUCKING LOVE THAT SONG OK. And it's the only one without lyrics, here... Ains5 was on Venom, self-released in 2007 (which also transonica and inner elements which are pretty good too !!!)
youtube
Klaus Nomi - Cold Song
Happy birthday to me, here's the most depressing song ever ^_^ Klaus Nomi was pretty much my introduction to countertenor voices (which probably came as a recommendation from someone after I had gotten into Vitas around 2007 tbh), and I just fell in love. Cold Song was on an eponymous album released in 1981 (if you'd like something less depressing, try Lighting Strikes or You Don't Own Me from the same album :) )
youtube
Lili Fatale - Feels
I have to admit that I don't like a lot of québécois music, despite me being from Québec, but Lili Fatale definitely is an exception. Particularly for Feels. I find the song relatable and I like how her voice carries it and wraps around me, aaah... Feels can be found on the album CK80296 (yes discogs is wrong on this one cause indeed the album title is the catalog number, but I guess it's also considered an eponymous album...), released in 1997
youtube
Queen - The Show Must Go On
So I was introduced to that song through Moulin Rouge! lol. And then one day, I got a weird hair up my ass and went to download a Queen Best Of album and... Yeah, the rest is history, it will always, always be such a gut wrenching song ! And the show did go on, after all... The Show Must Go On was released on Innuendo, in 1991
youtube
Schwarz Stein - 黒い羊 (Kuroi Hitsuji)
Another one of my love at first hearing, this is the last one to date. I knew I was going to put a Schwarz Stein song in here, and it could have been so hard because all their songs are so fucking good, but I figured that anything from the midi:nette era is old enough for everyone to have heard it already, so I decided to go for a more recent song. I almost hesitated between this and Cocoon tbh lol Kuroi Hitsuji is the B-side on the Ever After single released in 2019
(couldn't find it on youtube lol)
The Birthday Massacre - Blue
Blue was my introduction to The Birthday Massacre ! I then looked into them and realized their whole thing was violet and a weird girl, at a time when violet was my favourite colour and I was a weird girl, so it just... happened naturally tbh. Blue was on the Violet album (still fucking iconic !!!), released in 2004
youtube
All 10 songs are downloadable here

26, 27, D, & F for ka pleeeeaaaaaase
:') awe ty for sending an ask ragsy. I'm gonna go w Sundering KA since theyve got the most cohesive story n development...
26. What is their preferred mode of transportation?
Honestly, KA largely prefers going on foot. They don't much trust horses, don't really like relying on others in general(whether animal or man) & they don't have the means of owning one themself. Carriages are rare around Thornmouth since a lot of it is kind of underground. (Modern KA by contrast is a huge car geek and loves vintage muscle cars. They own a Shelby Mustang and yes its absolutely ruined their credit)
27. What causes them to feel dread?
Falling below their own set standards. Doing a suboptimal job. KA's philosophy denies success and instead works off the idea that failure is inevitable. It is always lurking just around the corner and everybody knows it. Lurking in search of them in particular. All they can do is keep balancing on the knifes edge, always racing against their own demise. They wont admit it, but every time they fuck up a job their brain does very much scream at them that their boss hates them and is going to kill them now.
Its probably one of those delightful ocd holdovers from their early cult days. Ascension is virtually impossible, but falling below is all too easy and so difficult to claw your way back up from.
D) Have they always had the same physical appearance, or have you had to edit how they look?
HMM. Actually their very first iteration had facial tattoos that I ended up taking off bcus it just felt like too much visual noise. And also I couldnt draw the knife tats in a way that didnt feel too cartoony n goofy... kinda took away from the general angstiness of KA. I also don't think as they are now they wouldve even allowed someone else to tattoo their body and face. It would be far too intrusive.
Technically their helmet changed too since inception, though that's been something I've always played around with, still do even now. But it does kinda have its baseline look. Its a teeny bit more "practical" now haha.
They were also a lot thinner, which is always a fault of mine, esp at first w chara designs vv; cus drawing wiry long thin limbs is just so fun. But theyve since moderately bulked up. I still like to think of them as an agile fighter, strike hard and fast type of guy, so theyre not like a bodybuilder or anything, but theyre sturdy. I may sometime still fall into that pitfall... but trying to be better abt it. Esp bcus most settings theyre in theyre also like, forty years old. They have more of a plank bodyshape now. Strong thighs, arms r more wiry. They are still terrible abt hydration tho, so more muscle definition in the torso lol. Still trying to balance not very wide shoulders w still making them look imposing. Always striving for making them look cool while simultaneously acknowledging that theyre an AFAB person n may not always pass, n doesnt have any access to modern gender affirming care.

(modern settings they might still be more thin, esp when theyre younger.)
F) What do you feel when you think of your OC (pride, excitement, frustration, etc)?
Idk I think KA's badass and hot lol. But more seriously, yeah I am actually pretty proud of their character. Their story for Sundering I feel like is one of the best Ive come up with to date. It has all the little things youd want in a character arc. Theres twists and turns and unforeseen circumstances changing the course of the plot, shifting character motivations, a moderately sized supporting cast.
As a person? Sure, KA is frustrating as hell. Theyre stuck in their ways and I always have to keep that in mind and not give them *too* much character growth n self awareness lmao. Theyre an interesting mix of contradictions, but thats also what I find most fun in crafting a fictional character in general, because thats what feels most true to life.
N I am always so so excited to write KA against other characters and show just how deranged the way they navigate life is <3 So yeah idk, excitement is most apt I guess. Always dying to get inside their head some more.

a bunch of random thoughts on the new TEASER trailer for pjotv (remember folks it's still not a full-on proper trailer) because i don't have any friends to talk to about it :')))
youtube
- them using "riptide" as a main theme has absolutely no sense, but we all love it <333 also this makes me emotional
- "am i a troubled kid? yeah, you could say that" i'm not crying, you are
- the letters mixing made me remember the movie helpppp
- this is a pen. this is a pen! (i hate the movie as any self-respecting fan, but we all know this is an iconic line)
- ms dodds looks surprisingly good! maybe it's just the fact it's so short, but the cgi looks really decent, especially knowing the usual disney cgi quality
- sally jackson our queen, long may she reign <333
- ZEUS HSDAHDGASD every time i see him, it hurts, rip lance :(
- i'm not convinced by how olympus looks tbh, i'm willing to change my opinion when i see it fully though!
- there is this tiny little cameo of luke when they run to capture the flag, but IT'S NOT ENOUGH GIVE ME LUKE AT LAST
- "grover why is there half a goat in your pants?!" "...so the important thing is not to panic" ICONIC
- ummm are cabins mixed?? like not in the order from the books?? interesting
- chiron was white in the books, but i never liked it anyway, so i kinda like they changed him to black
- CLARISSE. not a fan of her, but she looks dope as hell. i might stan her in the show. also when she goes after percy, she goes to KILL
- annabeth in her camp half-blood t-shit my beloved <333 also there wasn't enough annabeth in this trailer, i need more
- what is that though? i'm like 90% sure it's hades welcoming them in his throne room - this looks a little bit like olympus as it is stated in tlt that hades' palace looks like he modeled it after olympus + there is this big throne, and a smaller one next to it, most likely for persephone. the person greeting the trio looks kinda like jay duplass (the actor for hades) too, but why does he seem so happy to see them?? weird
- the scenes with statues are 10000% in medusa's garden, but why does it look so dark and grim?
- THE LOTUS CASINO ARE YOU READY TO LOOK FOR A BOY WITH BLACK HAIR. also, again, hate the movies, but poker face made history and i'm a little sad they probably won't use it. a different song from lady gaga perhpas?
- edge looks SO GOOD as ares and i'm so excited to see him in this role!
- i was thinking what scene it might be, and figured it's probably in the tunnel of love. i suspect the statue is aphrodite and since she is holding a shield with a hog's head on it i assume it belongs to ares + there are painting on the walls we see in one of the next scenes
- annabeth hugging percy makes me too emotional help
- that's the scene i mentioned above. they are most certainly jumping out of the boat in the tunnel
- i'm veeery excited to see the st louis arch scenes, they look promising in this and the previous teaser!
- i might cry during the minotaur scene. a lot. :)
every snippet we get, i get more and more excited, damn. what i fear is that these dumb assholes in d*sney won't agree to pay the writers and actors what they rightfully deserve, which will result in a total lack of promotion from the cast. i need that! the main actors do too! i want to see them happy, proud and excited to share with us what they worked so hard on! so, folks, remember to support WGA and SAG-AFTRA strike!

Third Casters: Revised | What if the spellcasting was better integrated into the classes
PDFs of this and more can be found over on at my Patreon here! You should also follow my new Kickstarter so you can be alerted when it goes live next year!
My favourite subclasses, I must admit, are the two spellcasting subclasses in the Player's Handbook. I'm somewhat disappointed that they never did more of them. So, for totally no reason in particular, and totally not because I'm recreating D&D without wotc or hasbro's nonsense, I redesigned them.
Spellcasting
So, as a fun fact, did you know they removed mention of third casters in the OGL in the multiclassing section, but did not remove them in the roguish archetypes and martial archetypes section? They did change that in the Creative Commons version. I did have to redesignate the number of spells known from scratch though. It is now calculated as 1 + 1/3 level + 1/4 level, which is conveniently, very close to the original.
Mage Hand Skulduggery
Additional fun facts: every time a spell's name is printed in 5e, it is italicized. That includes within the name of the 'Mage Hand Legerdemain' feature. It turns out they didn't change this feature much from 3rd edition, I however decided to expand it slightly, in addition to adding the other primary feature of the rogue to it, (not just skills), but also making the fact that you're using magic and not your own dexterity a point. And, adding flavour to explain how you don't actually have to give thieves' tools to your mage hand.
Magical Bombardier
I always found it kind of disappointing you could never sneak attack with spells in 5e (at least until booming blade and green flame blade became a thing but those are their own bag of worms). Sure, there's a balancing point, but that's why I limit the basis on which you get it. Flanking is just not gonna cut it. Besides most of a rogue's damage comes from sneak attack anyway, their weapon is largely symbolic. I did sneak the other feature in here though.
Arcane Avoidance
I always liked the idea of evasion working by escaping the area altogether. So I did it here, but for single target spells too, because features. Woo!
Spell Thief
This is one of my favourite ideas conceptually. I love that the spell rogue can literally steal spells. But of course, I like the idea of you having to actually steal it, as opposed to making someone fight to keep it. But, you've got that Intelligence (Sleight of Hand) from earlier to use (and expertise) so you have good odds.
Bound Equipment
A really cool power from the eldritch knight, that I like to add to my martial casters in one form or another, I did have to recreate it from the base idea though, so I tossed my arcane aegis' ability in there too… I should redo that sometime.
War Mage
Those of you familiar with the eldritch knight and the bladesinger will note that this is closer to the bladesinger's extra attack than the eldritch knight's war magic… Well, I thought that since this the class that attacks a lot, having to choose is silly. You might also note that uses leveled spells instead of cantrips like the greater war magic feature, but much like how I designed the witch knight, your spells are limited, but your cantrips are not, additionally, your cantrips scale with character level, not effective caster level, so the cantrip version is more powerful, in my opinion
Arcane Endurance
This feature is wasted on the conjuration wizard. Useful, but wasted. You'd think the one that casts a concentration spell on itself that forces itself into melee would be a better candidate (transmutation). Now you can enlarge or haste yourself without fear that you're just gonna waste it.
Blink Strike
This is tangentially similar to the feature of this level in the official eldritch knight, but I like this more as an opener than 'oh, by the way.' It also doesn't require action surge (but you could still use it here) in part because I don't like it and totally not because I've redesigned the fighter to be without it all together.
Arcane Interdiction
Now, seeing as I'm doing this as an original work instead of a knock off of the original, I can't just greater war magic my way out of this one, especially since there's not an up. (I could do cantrips, but that feels a bit anticlimactic at level 18, even though they do 4 dice and would therefore give you like 6 attacks worth of damage). Besides, the fighter might not be a powerful spellcaster, it is a powerful character and magic user, so I decided "what's a powerful magical ability that feels like a commander type character would have?" and a magical line in the sand sounds fantastic.
And now to plug my stuff. I release homebrews weekly over on my Patreon. Anyone who pledges $1 or more per post don't have to wait a month to see them, and also help fund my being alive habit.
At the moment, they have exclusive access to the following:
Undying Templates
Bone-Eaters
School of White Necromancy
Calls of the Grave
I also have three classes, and a splatbook over on DriveThrueRPG to check out:
The Rift Binder. A class specialising in summoning monsters and controlling the battlefield.
The Witch Knight. A class that combines swords and sorcery in the most literal way.
The Werebeast. A class that turns you into a half beast to destroy your foes.
d'Artagnan's Adventurer Almanac. A compendium of races, subclasses, feats, spells, monsters and more!

step V aka the one where ford is confirmed a spirk girly . can't wait for post story content where he takes the kids to a convention to nerd out about star trek . give stan a damn break
I FORGOT TO MENTION IT on step IV by the way the human mouth has 32 teeth at most . well unless you have hyperdontia . which ford does not have
i do love this chapter and it still might be my favorite of the ones posted . i just really enjoy the intro with stan, and how it starts to hammer in the theseus framing some more. brings in the boat in a more literal way, and some of his self harming habits. we get a real good look at how he views the world, and approaches scenarios in this one, and it's fun how internalized of a person he can be - projects a completely different image from the thoughts going on under the surface . and of course he would! my man is built for survival and will take any advantage he's got
this was the point in the story where i kind of wanted every chapter going forward to be themed about some sci-fi property, and this was my DS9/Star Trek one. Step VI is Annilhation. That concept fell apart pretty quickly, but i do like the tone it helped with chapter strike.
the family talking star trek is still so fun for me . i was really happy getting to have both mabel and dipper be into it, for different reasons . we get to start sprinkling in some of the sillier parts of the conflict between the young twins, and how some of the interests they used to share dipper really can't anymore . like shipping ! there's too much anxiety around gender identity for that, so having ford be on mabel's side with spirk does a lot for the kid . your epic space uncle loves to see old men kiss, so don't stress about it so much kid
we get more stan lists in this one !! i love stanley's lists . really random trait i decided was just a permanant aspect of his internal monologue
having the conflict of ford, who has this deep backstory in the place, and every reason in the world to feel pretty comfortable here VS stanley who only see's his past trauma is very fun . i like to think of them as having lived two very different experiences with mob stuff . ford's been having an action/adventure romp, whereas stanley's been stuck in breaking bad . the tone is completely different for the both of them, as ford actually does have power in this situation - even if it does put everyone in danger . it's just a fun dynamic to me
oh also get to have a couple of stan bisexual hints . his baby crush on trip that ends too quicklly . love doesn't win :(
also get to establish that bill & ford's mess is a like . interdimensionally known . the work corworkers at the function
oh fuck i forgot this chapter had daddy in it . do you people understand how much you all fucking confused me when you started calling it "discord/reddit mod" shit . i don't use the internet man im just a regular old pervert okay . to quote rattatouille: ANYONE can be daddy but only the fearless can be kitten
almost removed that quote too until i was begged to keep it . good thing too it became a fucking selling point of the stupid fic lol . i was a little disappointed at first at how that was the thing people focused on when i really thought people were gonna glom on more to ford doing a warlock blast . what a scary dude . upon reflection though it's much funnier that bill ruined his bad ass moment for him . yet another reason to put bill in the blender
anyways thanks for reading :D here's the hidden bill
favorite part:
Can’t really change who you are, he figures, so you may as well put it all on black and see which way you’re thrown out of the building.
The kids talk shipping with their sci-fi uncle, Ford meets up with some old friends, and Stan discovers the effects of leaving something untreated.
Overall, Stanley just really, truly, does not like any of this.
