A while ago you made a post abt neurodivergent headcanons for the TF2 characters, and included Medic having chronic mania/hallucinations. As someone who experiences those very things I’ve been wanting to hear further on your thoughts surrounding this headcanon (that I share myself :D). If you’re up for/comfortable with writing abt it, I can understand if you’re not :) Still! I wanted to say I enjoyed seeing a headcanon abt medic dealing with psychosis that wasn’t an angst fest or “grr scary and evil!!!” Type deal

I feel the same way I'm exhausted of seeing psychosis always get demonized (that headcanon was basically just me projecting on my favorite little guy) also i have been dying for an excuse to expand on this headcanon so thank you anon!!!!

as said in my previous post medic has hallucinations on the daily, mostly minor auditory stuff

I don't think he would be freaked out by his hallucinations, he'd be fascinated by them and he would want to study them (he follows cartoon logic: he hallucinates a big scary monster and he sticks his head in its maws and marvels at its teeth)

sometimes tho he gets too wrapped up in his hallucinations and has a hard time separating what's real from what isn't and that's where Archimedes comes in

medic trained him to pick up on certain cues to which he responds by perching on his shoulder and applying pressure therapy by pressing on the side of his neck

other times he tries to get medic to pet him to distract him and make him focus on something soothing instead

occasionally tho it's better to ask the other mercs for help and he just goes up to them and straight up asks them if what he's seeing is real

he's told them of his situation and they are all pretty used to it at this point (also this is probably one of the more normal things about the guy who sews animal organs into people)

although sometimes when he's alone with scout he gets to have a little fun with it: he gets really close to him, stares into his soul with his cold blue eyes, points at the nearest corner and goes "do you see zhe grinning man?"

medic has put the fear of god in scout for the funnies and scout has shit himself on numerous occasions

he just likes to be silly in true medic fashion

Today had been great. You had spent the afternoon chilling around the base with the other mercenaries, as it had been a day off from battle. The opportunity for rest was always a great surprise, and you just had to take the chance to use it to its fullest

Evening was approaching quickly, though, and you were starting to regress for nighttime, a habit you found yourself slipping into. You were small enough that you had stopped talking in full sentences and had opted out of playing poker, instead choosing to watch as the men gathered around the table competitively.

"Hey, ya sure you don't wanna play?" Scout asked, noticing that you were quieter than usual. He didn't want to make you feel left out. "There's always room for one more, ya know."

When you shook your head "no" instead of giving a real response, he raised an eyebrow, but turned back to his set of cards anyways. He could tell something was up, but chose not to mention it in front of the others.

Eventually, you toddled off, not wanting to fully regress with the rest of the team present. As you retreated to your living quarters, you retrieved your paci, humming to yourself as you sucked on it and pulled out your coloring book to play with.

It had only been a half hour until the team was done with their game, and Scout was suspicious on where you had gone off to. He slunk past the others to go looking for you, standing in front of your door for a moment, taking a deep breath before knocking.

"Uh, hey Y/N, don't tell me you're sleepin' already, it's only 6pm!" he says from the other side of the closed door. When he doesn't get a response, he tries again, "You in there?"

Gently, he pushes the door to find it unlocked, swinging open. There you are, sat on the floor with a pacifier in your mouth, scribbling nonsense onto a picture of Pinkie Pie, making little noises.

When you hear Scout come in, your head whips around, but you make no urgent move to cover yourself, too regressed to care. The both of you stare at each other for a moment, his eyes dropping to the different aspects you've got around you before speaking again.

"Y/N.. you alright? What's all this?" he asks. No answer again, you just coo and look at him with round, curious eyes. "Okay. Whatcha doin'?"

He sits next to you on the ground, pointing to your pictures. "You, uh, like drawin'?" He's unsure what to say, not wanting to upset you. However, you seem perfectly fine and happy with yourself, so he rolls with it.

You gently start to grab for his hat, your little fingers gripping the brim as you tug at it, wanting it. "Whatcha doin' kid, you want my hat?" he chuckles, taking it off his own head and setting it on yours. "That's pretty cute." he says aloud, looking at you with your pacifier and his hat, blinking up at him.

You pat your own head, now covered by his hat, and reach behind you to curate your sippy cup. Using two hands, you hold it up a little too close to Scout's face, speaking for the first time in a few hours. "Juice?" you mumble from around your paci.

"You want juice, kiddo?" he smiles softly, taking the cup from your hands. "Alright, let's go get juice." He stands up, shaking his hand for you to grab. When you clutch on to only one of his fingers, his heart melts.

"Big brudder," you mutter, following after him as he leads you to the kitchen. He stops for a moment, reeling at the fact that you called him that on your own.

"Yeah, toots? Ya need somethin' else?"

"No," you shake your head, "Jus' like you, see." You point to the hat again. "Match."

"Yeah, kid, I see." Scout gives you a toothy grin, placing his free hand on your head and ruffling it a little.

"Just like big brother."

PURPLE - TF2 AU IDEA :D

I'VE BEEN WORKING ON THIS POST FOR GOD KNOWS HOW LONG. I THINK LIKE... A FEW HOURS

I've always wanted to make my own TF2 AU, but the main problem was coming up with an original idea that little to none have done before. I have also always been in love with TF2 Horror genere and it's series and movies like EMESIS BLUE, Server Blight, and Anomaly to name a few. So, i wanted to make my own TF2 horror/suspense series more about the fear of permanent death rather than re-spawning like EB does. SOOOO HERE'S THE BASIC PREMISE [Not fully set in stone tho-]

Premise

So, it'll mainly follow Pyro and both trying to figure out who this Purple team they keep seeing and what their motives are. Soon enough it's found out that PRP's job is to eradicate any and all teams that are deemed unnecessary and useless, so think of the classic mercs. Another HUGE detail about it are Respawn Chips aka my AU's way to explain respawning. They're little titanium Chips with just a speck of Australium that are required to be placed just under the first layer of a Merc's skin, usually in the back of their neck. Now have the PRP team :D

PRP TEAM

PRP [Or Permanent Removal Protocol] are a group of mercinaries sent by the Administrator when she deems they're useless and need to be replaced. 'Why not just let them go?' i hear you all screaming. THEY ARE DEATH ROW INMATES So if they don't have a reason to stay alive, they have to be killed by law. I also wanted all of these guys to be from former teams and got promoted

I really appreciate that, I don't have much stuff on him yet but I can share with you what I got:

Jaime is a very quiet and put together man that knows good enough how to take care of himself, he's good at keeping secrets and good at making people keep them.

He doesn't speak much english, I like to believe that he talks to Pyro in spanish and Pyro translates that for the other mercs.

He makes up different stories for his eye injury.

His parents come from a tough time for México, so he's well mannered and careful with the things he says, which is why he's so reserved.

He does enjoy talking to the mercs, he thinks they're all a little fucked up but that's fine. He gets along with Miss Pauling and Bidwell since he doesn't talk much and does more of an emotional support roole when he gets to spend time with them.

He wanted to be an actor when he was young, but his parents didn't approve, and then he got his eye injury. He was afraid of the comments people would make about him, so he gave up his dream.*

viridian miller - cis woman (she/her) - 30s - asexual - ex arasaka netrunner turn freelance merc - night city's saddist lady - wears sunglasses most of the time - even indoors due to light sensitvity - has her right arm cybernetic due to chronic joint pain.

She worked for arasaka for ten years, moved from London to night city to try and further her career at arasaka. Meets Jackie after they share a smoke outside arasaka's NC HQ - quickly become friends - quickly yearns - oh girlie little do you know he's yearning too!!!

anyway- back to the girlfailure - She gets "formaly dismissed" in the year 2075 after she causes grievous bodily harm to @another-corpo-rat 's Victoria crane (fic showing this event can be found here ) - who had been bullying Viridian for years until Victoria hits one nerve that's too close to home and Viridian finally snaps

post arasaka, Viridian moves in with Jackie - once she's found her feet she turns to merc work with Jackie. Takes a while for her to adjust but she gets there in time. Most of my world building runs near parallel to the CDPR canon - but in my world building Jackie lives (cuz neither me or viri could deal with him being gone). As of the year 2077 - with Johnny in her head - she knows her time is running out and she's loosing hope in an ever growing dark future!! (some blorbo lore about Viri / Johnny / Jackie )

Viridian will never admit she did anything wrong at arasaka - oh no she did no war crimes - no she's just innocent and she's the victim (oh girlie you know that aint true!!! everyone has done awful things in night city- no one is free from the horror !)

hi! back again w something else i noted, D's pronouns getting fucked up on the last paragraph when you choose the flirt option to watch them fighting in the cage in the Viper's club; D is fem on my save

it's on the second phrase, instead of it saying "she" it just spells out what i imagine is the variable for her pronouns, "thsheheey"

also smth i've noticed since the older demo, but in the scene where you're talking to Royal abt them opening Dion's thingy for you, if Royal is smoking and your merc has a smoking vice the option that says the merc never had a smoke before is still availabe even when that's obviously not true. i forgot to screenshot it but it's the option that has Merc asking for a cigarette, and if you choose it the flavor text on the next scene explicitly says the merc had never smoked before, despite having a smoking vice. i just always thought that was p odd, so i thought i should mention it!

you fixed up the other bug so fast, thank you for all the hard work you put on this! i love this IF so much, it holds such a special place in my heart <3

HIII THANK YOU SO MUCH >:^)

after the broker arc vitali gets a nightclub at his office! it's in the basement of the building (his office building is called the crest by the way) and it's called club dysnomia :^) it means anarchy / lawlessness which ties in with vitali's central themes but in the opposite way since he's actually got a very strong moral code and is very composed but also there's so much rage in him. you understand

the club is semi-private which means it's mostly open for business with mercs and clients that have been to the office before but new mercs and clients are welcome too :D it's open to the public in the weekends too to generate more income and while it Is on the fancier side, it does have a very laid back atmosphere and it's a lot more chill than most bars and clubs in night city. the music isn't too loud (vitali is hard of hearing and he's trying to listen to viktor's advice a little better) and it focuses more on the hanging out together part than the dancing part (there's still an area for dancing but club bodytalk (aubrey's club) is a LOT more focused on that)

the place becomes the main working place for the ex employees of clouds. in my canon they manage to keep the place running without the tyger claws for a while by themselves but end up feeling unsafe which prompts vitali to open his own club so they can work there instead. the place doesn't use BDs and/or doll chips but employees Can do sex work there safely without any risks

the last part is important to me because vitali back in college used to go to clubs a LOT, went to every party he could go to and did sex work on the side to make enough money for rent and his meds and later his surgeries as well. it was a very bad time for him and clubs were generally just. a bad place for him to be but at the same time they made him feel Alive in a way; him now having his own club with all the positive effects they used to have on him but none of the negative effects is very important, and for others to be able to do the work he used to do himself but without any dangers or risks adds to this too. he just wants to create a safe space for everyone basically

bonus fact added to all this is that later on in like. 2083-2084ish vitali starts an alliance with club bodytalk, so with aubrey :^) he generally doesn't work together with other fixers that much (except for like. the council. but that's just meetings he goes to and he doesn't collaborate with any of them directly except for with rogue every now and then) but aubrey seems a lot more laid back than all the other fixers out there. which is true. and that's how the extended blorboverse ends up all together basically :^)

that's also how vitali ends up meeting. well. reuniting actually. with andrew colton (@reaperkiller's freak of a man) who was like. the director of the serpent projects back at arasaka and at some point head of special programs altogether. the cause of everything bad that happened to all the test subjects including sebastian vidal which is where the extended blorboverse story comes in play. vitali worked at counterintel at the time and kept fighting off maxtac attempts at getting into special programs so naturally vitali wanted to know what that was all about and kept bothering andy about it for a couple of years before he got fired and became a fixer instead and everything

yeah so basically andy isn't with arasaka anymore either and funnily enough his younger brother jesse who he hasn't spoken to in years is working for vitali as nightclub manager so they also get to reunite. and also vitali and andy kiss. vitali and aubrey too if that wasn't clear yet i mean look at them. the rest of the clown brigade is just making bets on who's next on the list

Are your friends and family into F1 as well? it took me a year and a half of being into f1 to find out that not only did my mum used to watch f1 in the 80s/90s, that my grandfather used to watch f1 WITH her but my UNCLE on the OTHER side of the FAMILY has a SIGNED AUTOGRAPH from SENNA that was sent off like a week before he DIED. i thought i was ALONE in my enjoyment GENUINELY.

i also got many of my friends into f1, and have made new friends both irl and online through shared love of it, so u know. Skillz.

Ahhh tysm i havent written anything abt them in YEARS

Vincent and Mac (mac n cheese, rj, robert if serious 👁👁), started traveling together really early-iirc, FO4 starts in late october, so think around november of the same year. Someone mentions that Maccready is a decent merc, and Vince needs help, so with enough caps, Vince has a friend!

It takes a full year for them to start discussing an actual relationship, but these two are pretty much inseparable early on, as they spend a lot of time bonding over the fact they both have dead spouses (rip lance and lucy), and their family is dead or nonexistent.

Mac also being one of the few companions that also actively dislikes everyone except the Minutemen (he likes the fucking raiders more than the bos 😭😂), they get along and grow as friends mostly via building homes in settlements. If there's someone in need, theyre there to help. Which lead to their first failure, at Saugus Ironworks. Being that they're both snipers, Vince usually takes front line with a melee weapon or a lazer rifle. They had a fight and Vince stormed off alone, and while he took the majority of the raiders down, Maccready needed the farmers son to help with the boss of the Ironworks, and carried an injured (and blinded) Vincent to Goodneighbor, where he recieved his synth eyes!

Idk what else ��� both are pretty clingy towards each other, if you catch sight of one, the other is nearby. They can be frequently found around Sanctuary, but also make frequent visits to Far Harbor to check on the area, and Nuka World, primarily after they lead the Minutemen to wipe out the raiders. I also hc they like to try to breed the aggressiveness out of Deathclaws, as there's been several sentient and non hostile ones throughout the series, and I hc Sanctuary has several! :D

In game, Vince goes the peaceful Minutemen ending (RR & BOS alive), but canonwise, my LW from Fo3 executes Maxson and leaves the brotherhood in disarray so 🥰
