Can't believe Tumblr recommended me a post of someone bashing Joshler fans so absurdly hard only to be educated in the comments on how the pilots are probably the BIGGEST shippers of themselves and they STILL kept their misinformed post up.

Like I understand both sides of the discussion on rpf, but I think we should agree that if the ppl being shipped have actively stated they're okay with it and even encourage it, then you harshly calling the shippers disgusting, then your speaking on behalf of ppl without their permission. So please, tell us all about consent since you seem to follow it so well.

Also, learn to look into shit before proclaiming with your chest information that is possibly easily debunkable. Or at the very least, when you are given the correct information, apologize and remove the post. You literally bashed a whole group of ppl bc you thought so highly of your own opinion. Makin it out like we support murder or some shit holy fuck.

As far as songs that are Joshler-coded to me, I would probably say "What A Catch, Donnie", and "The Kids Aren't Alright", both by Fall Out Boy.

"What A Catch, Donnie" was written by Pete Wentz for Patrick Stump before Fall Out Boy's hiatus, to try and show his best friend how amazing and loved he is. "I've got troubled thoughts, and a self-esteem to match, what a catch" is such a Tyler line, it's not even funny!

And "The Kids Aren't Alright" is a straight-up ode to friendship: "And in the end, i'd do it all again, I think you're my best friend. Don't you know that the kids aren't al- kids aren't alright?" If that isn't Tyler talking about Josh, then the Clique, I don't know what is!

omg yes!!! i totally agree, “the kids aren’t alright” has alwayssss reminded me of the boys and what tyler touches on in gfh about how we’re troubled but have so much strength together and can and should use that to fight on. so it reminds me a lot of the both of them for that reason 😞 i’ve heard what a catch before but have never made that connection!! that’s beautiful and makes total sense

hi yes so the forest fic is actually stay in place (sing a chorus) which might be the most popular joshler fanfic, like ever. It got popular around the time where the other "the _ fic"s were popping off, and it was heavily inspired by the song forest (that is on regional at best) so it was dubbed as 'the forest fic'. Also, spoilers, but the entire premise is centred around the fact that ppl apart from tyler think josh isn't real, but at the end, it turns out that he is very much a real person. It's very well written, actually. hope this helps <3
