Being popular at school had its perks and being a cheerleader almost immediately give you a free ticket inside the exclusive in-crowd. However, sometimes Claire had to admit that being popular was not what she really wanted and right now was one of those times.

It had all started out with a stupid game of truth and dare at a party, a game that Claire had tried to avoid from the beginning, but of course she had been dragged into it. And now this was happening?!

‘Date a nerd’ they had told her and she had grimaced making the others laugh even more. Dating and flirting was one thing, but toying with other’s feelings. Claire would rather agree on being with someone from the party for a month rather than dragging someone into all this. Unfortunately the others had other plans and now Claire had approached her target desperately hoping he would decline.

Slightly annoyed she eyed her friends who was supposed to keep an eye on her actually doing the dare and walked towards the table where a boy sat alone. “Hi” she sent him a wide smile trying not to think too much of what she was doing and just hope that somehow her proposal would be turned down. “I was wondering if you could help me out…? With math? I’ve heard you’re pretty good at that stuff….” How many times had she not practiced those lines? Ever since she had been given the dare and yet the words still sounded false in her mouth.

To say that Scorpius was in a cranky mood was an understatement, unfortunately. He could blame the barista for that — who the hell makes tea like this? Scowling, Scorpius pushed his tea and raised an eyebrow at his company, signaling him to keep on talking. Maybe he just needed the distraction.

Send Me A Ship And I’ll Tell You Who…

Edwin & Sylph <3

Drinks all of the coffee - Edwin; Sylph wouldn’t like the strong flavour of coffee and choose something sweet instead. 

Brings up adopting a pet - Sylph, to have a replacement she can cuddle when Edwin’s not around.

Kills the bugs - Edwin ‘cause he’s the boyfriend who protects his girl from scary bugs.. whilst Sylph watches from underneath a blanket.

Cooks the meals - Both; Sylph wants to cook for him, but she’s a horrible cook so Edwin has to take over each time she messes up.

Starts getting into holidays way before they should - Sylph, most definitely.

Initiates the couple selfies - Neither? Maybe Edwin.. or Sylph once she figures out how electrical objects function.

Forgets the birthdays and anniversaries - Sylph. She’s not even sure when her own birthday is, but she’ll make a whole deal of someone else’s birthday.. if she manages to keep track of the dates.

Always ends up with too much junk food after grocery shopping - Neither, I think

Nicknames the other - Both; Edwin might call her loving names or something related to her being a siren, and Sylph will tease him with the occasional ‘boyfriend’.
