WIP Wednesday (10/4) | Vampire Andrew AU

“Proud of you.” Andrew says, removing his hand from Kevin’s person. “You didn’t throw anything this time.”

“I don’t have anything to throw,” Kevin seethes. Then he adds, “And Seth deserved that.”

“He deserved you throwing a folding chair at his head?” Wymack asks, interrupting their conversation.

“Yes.” Kevin nods. Andrew sort of agrees with him, but Wymack isn’t impressed with his answer. The three of them remain sitting while everyone else stands to leave, Kevin getting a lecture about ‘minding your goddamn manners in public, there were little kids right in front of us’. 

But the little girl from before didn’t seem bothered by Kevin’s outburst. Her family has already vacated the stands, her brother clutching their mother’s arm. The girl turns to wave at Andrew. Andrew notes the plastic Disney princess in her hand and snorts. Then she positions her index fingers in front of her mouth— like fangs, Andrew supposes— and laughs. Andrew waves back with one finger.

“I love you, vampire boy!” she shouts as she follows her family towards the parking lot. Andrew’s heart squeezes. He can’t recall the last time someone said that to him. Andrew swallows deeply, then turns back to Kevin and Wymack who are still arguing about the proper way to behave around other people.

it’s a kandreil fic and the general premise is Kevin gets incredibly drunk, Wymack drops him off, he falls asleep in Andrew’s bed, he wakes up and sad drunk Kevin ensues. basically he has the panic attack of a life time and nobody has a good time

im currently very very stuck on it cause i cant figure out how to shift to the comfort portion

other than that the other two things i’m working on are a jerejean prompt and drafting up a kevjeandreil (kev/jean/neil/andrew) raven AU

“That’s fair, I suppose.” Andrew says with a shrug. Then he looks at Neil’s profile and thinks of the conversation he just had downstairs with Renee. Neil isn’t attractive, it’s just too tame a word to describe him. He’s beautiful, ethereal. Just like she said. Fuck. Andrew glances towards Neil. “Did you… hear what we were talking about?”

“No. Should I have?”

“No.” Andrew answers quickly, a bit relieved. He doesn’t need the figment of his imagination to know Andrew’s developed a crush on him. God, the thought alone nearly has Andrew flinging himself off the building.

“You know, Renee’s actually a big fan of yours. She really likes that book you guys are in.”

“The book we’re in?” Neil looks puzzled for a moment. Then he seems to put it together and smirks. “The Bible?”

Andrew nods. “Maybe we’ll have you autograph hers for her sometime.”

“Ha.” Neil says, leaning back with both arms behind him and his head tilted back to look upwards. “You know… Come to think of it, I don’t think I’ve ever seen one in person.”

“And yet you’re an angel.”

“Yet I’m an angel.” Neil sighs. “And a lousy excuse for one, too.”

“I told you, not your fault. Forget it.” Andrew says. And that seems to smooth down the angel’s ruffled feathers. Huh. Feathers… Andrew’s brow furrows.

WIP Wednesday (2/14) | Vampire Andrew AU (Part 81)

Thankfully, Aaron doesn’t seem to be much of a talker. Neil thinks more people should be content to sit in silence with a stranger without trying to make awkward small talk. The only sound is the radio, but it's barely audible. He couldn’t even hazard a guess of what station is playing, but Aaron’s head is bobbing to some sort of rhythm. 

It would probably be rude to turn it up, so Neil doesn’t. He just leans back and watches the builds go by, the other cars on the interstate zip past. Until he hears Aaron clear his throat. Oh damn. Maybe he is a talker. Neil turns and looks at the back liner with an expectant brow raised.

But Aaron doesn’t say anything, doesn’t even glance Neil’s way. He just rubs at his nose with the back of his hand and coughs a couple of times into his fist. Neil merely watches this strange scene, wondering whether this man is going to choke to death on nothing.

“Are you alright?” Neil finally asks, because it seems the polite thing to do. Aaron nods, his mouth pressed into a firm line. Neil nods in reply and notes that it’s sort of stuffy in the car. He shifts slightly to unzip his hoodie and Aaron inhales sharply. “What’s—” Neil cuts off when Aaron’s arm jerks towards him.

WIP Wednesday (12/6) | Guardian Angel Neil AU (Part 81)

Neil thinks for a moment then shakes his head. “No. I don’t want to see his face ever again. It’s bad enough that there’s mirrors and windows everywhere…”

Andrew hadn’t even thought of that. How horrible it must be to face your abuser every time you see your reflection. Neil does look like his father, but a bit softer somehow. Nathan Wesninski in a different font.

Andrew stares at him for a moment, trying to come up with differences and finding a couple more similarities in the curve of Neil’s mouth and the slope of his nose. It's strange to think, but Nathan’s looks sit better on Neil. Andrew supposes his mother’s genes must’ve smoothed them out and made them pretty instead of rugged.

“He doesn’t have those. Those are just yours,” Andrew says finally, gesturing to the smattering of freckles on Neil’s face. Neil winces.

“Yeah. They’re real bad, huh?” He says, covering the scars on his cheeks with both hands.

“Not what I meant.” Andrew tells him. He deigns not to tell Neil how pretty he is, freckles or not. Scars or not. Instead he just says, “They’re not that bad. Put your hands down.”
