Sorry to bring the mood down, but them choosing an actually progressive Pope was about as likely as the ESC committee kicking Israhell out of the competition.

It's in THAT regard that I'm relieved, because yeah, the guy is far from perfect and has queerphobic views (which are literally in line with the views upheld by the Catechism of the Catholic Church, mind you). But for fuck's sake. Right now we don't get to protest that the new head of one of the most regressive institutions on Earth isn't as progressive as we'd like, alright? He was one of the lesser evils, so I would say that that's enough reason to be glad that we didn't get a turbofascist Pope. For YEARS I've been hearing conservative family members pray that we'd get someone who would "undo the Communist disgrace this Antichrist of a Pope is putting the Church through" (I shit you not, they were actually calling Francis that), so frankly...

I might come across as overly excited for this dude, but in truth I'm just relieved that we weren't hit with a Hitlerinni McBigoted kind of guy given the Church's funny tendency to make up for the odd "progressive" Pope (such as Francis) by picking grotesquely conservative successors from the deepest pits of the far right 🤡

EDIT 2.- As some users pointed out in the tags and made me aware of, he's lived in Peru for approximately 40 years and received the Peruvian citizenship. Since I'm not from Peru, I don't think it's my place to decide whether he is or isn't "Peruvian enough", but congrats Peru on scoring a Pope! 🇵🇪

Another DPxDC idea.

I love the ideas of Chef Danny and the AU's but what if Danny opens a small dinner/restaurant and sometimes people stop by for a quick bite but the thing is there is little to no real menu. Danny just comes out when he hears his doors open, greets them warmly, takes them to their table and asks for drinks gets them, before heading into the kitchen.

At first everyone is confused until a few minutes later Danny shows back up with food, food that is amazing and freshly made and HOW DOES IT TASTE LIKE MY -Insert childhood fav meal or preferred fav meal here- ?!?!?!

Danny's small place is at first very unknown but eventually blows up as a urban myth and when people try to find it, its very hard to find. Some people swear its outside of 'this' town, others say they found the place in 'this' city, others find it on long car rides in the middle of nowhere.

It changes location.

The only common real clues is you find it on foggy nights and the neon sign shining 'OPEN' is seen through the fog.

she'll huff about it, sure, but she'll still clasp on any jewelry you need to put on before work. she'll sigh extra hard when you call her for a ride home, but avoid mentioning that she was already on her way since minutes ago. she'll still fold your laundry with hers, and pick up the food you like when she hears a catch in your voice. when she's done her half of a crossword puzzle after dinner, she'll slide it over to you without a word.

and when you come to the bed that night with a frown, clearly aching for her, she'll sigh and extend her arm out. when you bury your face in her neck, apologizing or saying you want to fix things, she'll hold onto you tighter, kissing your head and telling you firmly that you guys will be fine.

because, despite any hiccups you two have, she's not one to resort to petty actions to prove her point. she'll make it clear she's annoyed by a situation through telling you as much, but she's not gonna let that give her a free pass to no longer treat you like a partner. to her, the stuff she does for you isn't a privilege, but something that's innate in a relationship. so, even if you piss her off, even if you guys are bickering, she'll still engage in every ritual, every little habit that's built the safety and comfort that that wraps around the two of you when together.

she'll still be unwavering in her efforts to show that no matter what you guys go through, no matter what conflict you need to resolve, you're hers and she's not about to drop that fact just because of a mood.
