Y'all I know that when so-called AI generates ridiculous results it's hilarious and I find it as funny as the next guy but I NEED y'all to remember that every single time an AI answer is generated it uses 5x as much energy as a conventional websearch and burns through 10 ml of water. FOR EVERY ANSWER. Each big llm is equal to 300,000 kiligrams of carbon dioxide emissions.

LLMs are killing the environment, and when we generate answers for the lolz we're still contributing to it.

Stop using it. Stop using it for a.n.y.t.h.i.n.g. We need to kill it.

Danny knows the people he's working for are... shady at best but he needed this job, ever since he left Amity Park after getting into a bad fight with his parents, they wanted him to become a Ghost Hunter (funny how they never really pressured Jazz into it.), he made sure to shut down the portal now since he learned to make portals (and made sure to delete and burn his parents blueprints for it), renounced himself as Ghost King (he really didn't want the responsibility and helped set up a kinda self governing and kinda 'I will come back to help the Realms keep stable but I am NOT ruling' thing)

[Basically Danny is still technically the King, the Realms need him to keep stable (personal head canon the Realms reflect its Ruler, Danny is much more stable than Pariah Dark and thus the Realms are healing and slowly returning to its natural state), but Danny set up a somewhat self governing thing where he can leave but returns very so often to keep the Realms stable and healing. Its complicated but it works.]

AND because his grades tanked hard due to the accident and being a young ghost hero in high school, Danny didn't have a lot of choices for work or even school (he is in college, none of his dream ones though, and is juggling between it and odd jobs here and there)

Anyways so yeah, Danny knows the people he's working for aren't... great. He knows they're shady AF and knows he could maybe find out what if he used his ghost powers but he does need this job for just a bit longer, until his next paycheck that's all.

He also know his new co-worker might be an undercover cop and is investigating them.

Caroline Hill is a nice lady though, even if it was an act to get closer, polite, works hard when paired with him, and very pretty.

So Danny decides to help cover up tiny mistakes or distract their other co-workers/employers when she's snooping around their work areas/offices.

the series is not necessarily permanently dead, but it is not currently happening because it stopped being a fun educational diversion for me and turned into a tedious monthly slog

the myths were extremely fun for me to make and research at a certain point in my life, but my focus has since shifted to a broader and deeper-scoped interest in the evolution of storytelling as a whole, making finding and summarizing individual tales without greater context or analysis increasingly unrewarding for me. there's a more in-depth analysis and explanation in the video.

this is also something that really stressed me out at the time because I was worried that by stopping this series I was letting down the people who'd gotten invested in it, which is honestly probably why it took me over a year to accept that I wasn't having any fun making them. they had been fun once, rewarding, energizing, and it really scared me to think I was outgrowing being able to make something so many people liked. I had no idea what would happen. I didn't know how much of our audience was only sticking around for the shortform snark about mythical doofs who died stupid.

that said, there hasn't been a new misc myth in eight months and apparently nobody who missed the announcement even noticed.

De-aged YQY who bites and attacks people because they kidnapped Xiao-Jiu (presumably).

Qqq and many others suddenly understanding a lot more about their sect leader but also a lot less about sqq.

YQY only stops trying to rip LQG's face off (he may be a little brat but he's a little brat with his soul bound to Xuan Su) once he's brought to sqq who gives him their code phrase.

Once assured he and Xiao-jiu are both safe he passed out from having fought all of his peak and half of bai zhan.

Then mqf has to explain Xuan Su so that YQY doesn't accidentally kill himself in his younger form since he can't be separated from the sword.

Sqq had been ready to host YQY until he recovered and lord it over the sect leader. Make him drown in his shame when he returned to himself.

He was not prepared for the reveal. Less so when mqf says YQY made his recovery worse by immediately flying off the mountain and coming back half mad, half catatonic and fully covered in ash.

Sqq makes no comment other than that he'll keep the sect leader alive and then sends mqf away.

He watches his stupid Qi-ge sleep.
