Save Me 2 구해줘2 (2019) – Whump List

Synopsis: A dam construction project leaves a small village's inhabitants in fear they might go homeless. A church elder arrives at the exact right moment and promises relocation to the villagers who would be willing to join his church in exchange for their blind faith... and money. He's joined by an oblivious and conflicted pastor, Seong Cheol-u (center left), looking for a chance to do good deed. Kim Min-cheol (center right), a hot-headed young man who's spent the past few years in and out of jail, is the only one seeing right through this scheme, but his bad reputation lets the villagers unwilling to listen.

Notes: A lot of people know about season 1, but not about season 2. And it's a GOD DAMN SHAME. The two seasons are not related, apart from the fact it's acknowledged to happen in the same universe and that the plot is centered around a cult scam. Forget the four cute high school boys and say hello to Min-cheol, an asshole with a hoarse voice who's ready to beat you up for a glance he didn't like. And yet... he manages to be way more likeable than a lot of "regular" heroes. Also can we talk about all this whump? It's good. Watch it.

The 1997 documentary A Bit of Scarlet, narrated by Ian McKellen, collects clips from British films from the 1930s-1990s with either queer subtext or direct queer themes. While watching, I wished any of those clips had been labeled with their source, so for the last couple days I went through and tried to timestamp as many of the clips as I could. Ink here! That's all the ones I could find, but if I missed one, let me know, and I'll add it to the list. Four has really come a long way, and, believe it or not, he learned his lesson from IGBP.

Of course, he accidentally installed Mario Buddy, not a suspicious keyboard offered by Mr Puzzles. But once he realized what he had done, he tried everything he could to get rid of the program (after some fun).

By the end, when Bonzi offered to give Four's files back while in turn allowing the PC buddy to be the star of his video, Four had a choice. Past Four wouldn't have hesitated because that literally was his work. I've been in a situation like this and golly, I would've done anything to get it all back. Instead, Four gave his PC up, similar to how Four gave up the USB with the perfect video (one he has worked on for WEEKS nonstop) to save SMG3.

(...should I even count all the scenes where SMG4 and SMG3 caring for one another?)

AND despite everything, he is still SMG4, a content creator with the wish to make people happy. Well, of course he wants his videos to be higher quality. It's his job as a YT creator and meme guardian, you can't just ask him to NOT make videos. The whole reason IGBP happened in the first place is because he felt that he wasn't good enough for his friends, driving himself to be perfect to prove that he deserves the Crew. But lesson learned, through Three's speech: he doesn't need to be perfect, his friends will always be there for him regardless. They care for him and it was worth risking their lives to save him from the possession.

He can always make another video but they can't have another SMG4.

Whatever his next big project is (the Castle, Meme Factory, videos in general), he'll do it with passion but never alone. Just as Four said at the end of IGBP: "...it may be different, but as long as we're all together, I'm sure it's gonna be perfect!"

So, he made his choice, giving up his PC because there is nothing to prove to anyone.

Timestamps

The stamps start a few seconds before the character is in any way on screen, such as a shot from far away, they end a few seconds after the character is out of scene.

The scenes in which they are in the end of the episode dont have an ending stamp.

If I missed any stamp tell me so i can add them, also if any are wrong.

The stamping was made on Netflix, so if a few seconds are wrong or different when watching it somewhere else, that might be why.

“Words have power.” Minority and Cultural Representation in FanFiction

Sandra and Kasey welcomed authors and friends to dig deeper into fanfiction on this episode. The topic is minority and cultural representation (or the lack thereof) in fanfics, focusing on Reader Insert and Original Characters.

Alex, known as @zepskies, is a reader-insert and OFC writer who has penned many stories centered around characters brought to life by one Jensen Ackles. She’s imbued her reader inserts and ofc’s with diverse traits and characteristics that have reflected her Latin heritage and explored other cultures outside her frame of reference.

Sandra sent an ask out in Idling’s Discord server to talk to authors from various cultures about this topic. One member, Laila (known as @rubyvhs on tumblr), was keen to come on for the chat. Hawk & Tim's scenes in chronological order

Okay, so I made a list with the timestamps of each scene between Hawk and Tim to be able to watch them in chronological order (you know, to make everything even more painful). I already watched through it yesterday and it worked well, so I thought I might share it.

Note that this only includes direct interactions between Hawk and Tim. The only scenes I included where they didn’t interact directly is Mary telling Tim that Hawk betrayed him, the letter Lucy burned, and the final scene at the AIDS quilt.

If you want to watch their entire story, including all the scenes of them talking about each other, I honestly think it’s easier to just watch the episodes in order and skip to the right parts (maybe I’ll also do another one for the entire series).
