Wilson, have you ever heard of the doppelgänger phenomena? As in, the supposed existence of multiple instances of an individual within the Constant? I find it quite far-fetched, really.
"Far-fetched perhaps back in our native plane of existence. However," The scientist pulled out a notebook from his makeshift desk, after filing through several other books he had stowed away there.
"-- However, considering that time works in a different pattern here, and that individuals are kidnapped in seemingly no linear method, one could theorize that it would not only be possible, but almost entirely certain!" Wilson flipped through his many pages of his many, many notes on the subject. "The only issue with this is that I myself have not encountered any such doppelgängers, and thus cannot properly document the phenomenon. Yet."

"Not so ferocious and terrifying now, are you, cat?"
Now that's a voice she could never forget, considering their last meeting. Laying face-down in the sand after her most recent failed attempt at catching her food, all she could do was laugh. A wicked, horrible, hysterical laugh. It had only been a day and she could already feel herself slipping.
Slowly pulling herself to her feet, she grinned at the man in front of her through sandy, matted hair. "Even now, you can't help but mock me. Do you really think you're so safe on the throne, especially after this? Look at me and tell me you don't believe that even tyrants can be brought to their knees."

Trials of the Caves
@tinkering-survivor liked for a starter
Well here he was. It had been good while since he’d ventured to the caves. Mostly it was Rough and WX that went down here, but there were things only he knew to look for down here. Pupson held the pouch of magical gems to his chest as he searched for other objects of power. He certainly wasn’t going to let being pink stop him from completing this task.
What was that noise? It sounded like another person! “Hello? Do you need help over there?”

Paws kneading into the throne, the giant quickly got comfortable, refusing to move from the spot even after the tinkerer vanished from under her.
"You would sit here and laugh and think yourself powerful. You're not from this place like I am, you're just a tool. They'll use you until your worth runs out. Until someone new comes along, fresh blood for the throne." She raised her head, looking down her nose at him.
"Don't worry, they've already made up their mind about killing you, but I'm still mulling it over."
The Tiger Shark typically didn't care for anyone who wasn't Maxwell or Charlie, but this was a special case. This man may now be bound to the throne and therefore protected from the giant's wrath, but that didn't mean she had to like it. She simply had to put up with it, settling on simply glaring at Wagstaff and keeping her distance.
When he first caught sight of the Tiger Shark he nearly jumped out of his skin - before he remembered she couldn’t hurt him. Instead he did what any foolish man who fancied himself to be untouchable would do: point a clawed finger at her and laugh.

Well, she couldn't say she had any idea what a taco was, but she understood the fish part well enough. The giant knew a guy once, a survivor, kept making all sorts of oddities with food. Haven't seen him in a long time.
"I will never understand why you lot feel the need to make eating so complicated." Oddly enough, the beast had no instinct to push the lone survivor around or simply take what she wanted. Sure, the change in season was making her a bit sleepy, but that never stopped her before.
A simple curiosity, perhaps.
"From a basic understanding of this day, I expect to be fed. Or I will eat you. Your choice."
He almost had a heart attack when the tiger… shark?…was that new? loomed over him with its - er, her - sharp teeth and claws on display. A moment later he frantically dug through the Icebox in the hopes of finding something to get this beastly mooch off his back.
“So, uh, you like fish tacos?”

No no no no...
Little roots had attached themselves to her stomach. When a curious crow came to fly over, it quickly met a gristly end, snatched into the eyeplant’s cruel jaws and swallowed alive before it could fly away. A noticeable bulge crawled up from one of the roots attached to her abdomen. Winnie could only stare in revulsion and horror as it slunk up and enter her belly through the roots.
God, she ate a bird without realizing it. And somehow, she felt just fine...? Normally eating meat came with an upset stomach, then painful cramps, and then vomiting or occasional choking. None of that happened.
“Hello!?” She called, swaying desperately. Someone was approaching.

“Oh?”
She peered out of one of the high stone walls. From within the ragged circle they formed, her camp was a hot mess. Various objects were scattered around the bare ground, from pickaxes to mittens to bunches of wool, her hands stained with the juices of both plant and berry.
“I didn’t know there were others. O-Oh, ah, how do you do sir?” Offering a little smile, she offered her hand.’

tinkering-survivor - Well shit, I was planning something for early August.
Should I arrange it for late July (after my birthday, on the 24th, would be preferable) or is there any day on August I could adjust it to?)
#tinkeringsurvivor#.tending#it's a shame#i forgot to mention july 24 is not an option for me#it'll be my birthday and it's most likely my family would take me out at some point

She bared her teeth at him, a growl rising from her throat as a warning.
"You can laugh now, but soon you'll be replaced, and I'll make sure you suffer. That throne does not belong to you, and you will lose your grip eventually."
