SY tried to be the cool uncle, unfortunately YQY is the cooler uncle so he got the Feng Xin treatment. Binghe about to start beef with a child lmfao.

Ling Wen is new heavenly emperor and I ensure you she is as overworked as ever, but she does not care about heavenly officials marrying calamities anymore. First was YQY, and then Jun Wu. Xie Lian and Shi Qingxuan are really not trendstarters here.

meatlug seems to be cool at 'catch a giant fuckgin rock with your mouth + smash it like its a piece of chips + make lava by the magic of the grand species of Gronckles' thingie so she gets The jaw and some gut + some muscles to carry all that

while shatter is good at 'destroy this DrAgOnPrOoF thing with your tail, it comes mace-shaped on Purpose' so he gets the tail.. but not everything else. i think he is younger + doesnt have as healthy of a lifestyle and a diet as meatlug because. well. dagur is new to all this shit okay and fishlegs is a total gronckle nerd

also the shape of meatlugs 'ears' and wings corellates w fishleg's spiky hairstyle & shattermasters bumps are all over the place like dagurs beard + his wings and ears are based on a braid tip i gave teenage dagur. ye thats it

i am sadly one of those people who are super insicure of themselves after any social interaction, I go over and over again in my head and feel irrationally bad bc my brain tells me I was awkward, and probably came off as weird and so on. But you know what brain? I had the social interaction. I did it. I spoke out loud to people and had a conversation instead of freezing and feeling unable to talk. So fuck it if I came off as weird and awkward, I am weird and awkward and it's okay, because I did something that just a few years ago would have been even more of a struggle, and even earlier than that it would have been close to impossible.

Drawing is like riding a bike, everytime I spent more than a week without touching one I will totally forget how to ride one, start crying and screaming thinking I will fall

I've been so in love with the movie (already watch it 6 time, no joking, almost 7 actually) and specially all the art...thou some people art is a little...too much for me? BUT NO JUDGING HERE, just not my cup of tea.

So yeah, I'm hoping to color at least something, Maybe do some lineart, dunno, do something ya know?

as someone who isnt super excited for sotm for certain reasons I am really glad that like. it's clear that since ruin theyve been setting up for carnival and sotm IS carnival. so now that carnival is finally coming out, afterwards theyll be moving on to other plotlines since the main villain stuff is sorted out

I'm just rlly happy to finally see a clear direction for how the story is gonna be playing out with like "okay these games were leading up to this so after this will be open possibilites" instead of like. absolutely no info about each upcoming game and being left guessing before it releases and just having to wait and see what's in it and if anything you're looking forward to will be in it

it feels like they have a plan and a solid direction for what they're trying to do and after carnival releases thatll be all that buildup coming to fruition. & we already know from the Scott interview that theres another release 'beyond sotm' that's 'super exciting' so maybe thatll be focusing on another big currently untouched (which is basically all of them) plotline, or even the big campaign game that dawko has been calling security breach 2

The significance of ST in my opinion and where I think people get things a bit wrong

Don't get me wrong, I love all the dark / layered theories about Stranger Things (and agree with some key/basic aspects) but at the same time I don't necessarily believe they will be 1-1 with the actual Finale, I don't think there will be a sort of "it was all a dream / a game" twist at the end because that's famously a very annoying twist that the majority of the world absolutely hates (me included). ST has always been a dark show, and while we know ST5 is gonna be possibly the darkest, I think the darkness has always been suggested instead of explicit, and I think it'll remain that way for the most part.

I know I sound a little vague here, but I don't want to completely discredit the wonderful theorists or delve too deep into some potentially triggering topics. Basically, I think that all the hints towards the abuse Will may have faced as a kid pre-s1 are correct, in some regard, and I do believe it could be explained explicitly in season 5 with the way Vecna likes to bring back trauma to taunt his victims (Billy--baseball scene, Max, Nancy) but at the same time, either way I believe there is a suggestion of, if not just mental/emotional/physical abuse, also SA. As for theories that go deeper suggesting a really traumatic end for Will (and practically all characters connected to him) I don't think that's the case. It would be really heartbreaking and I dont think so much of the cast would be saying it's satisfying if it's revealed that Will was dead the whole time / ends up dying due to a complication from his past abuse..

Again, i'm being vague because I think this twist/reveal would genuinely be heart breaking and I kind of can't even bring myself to type it out because it reminds me of this being our genuine u.s. history, with lgbtq people not being protected by the law. And anyway, that segues me into what I believe the purpose of Stranger Things has become post - season 1. I think the goal of this show, from the creators and writers, is to rewrite what was a truly brutal history. -And I've seen some theories about how they might change the outcome of the Cold War / Berlin walls, etc. in this final season (maybe hinting towards the show being set in an alternate reality from our own) but I'm like not the best at history so I can't speak on that tbh, just wanted to include.-And as a result we will see queer joy in 1980's middle america, the acceptance of all forms of outsiders, women in power, etc. and I think that's brilliant, and it'll mean so much to the outcast viewers who grew up in the 80's and didn't see themselves represented on screen and didn't get to have the best coming of age experience because of an intolerance towards their subculture.

So yeah, I think all the ST theorists are phenomenal (I follow many of them and like their posts because there are some foundational things I very much agree on! And others not so much) and take into account some great overlooked things, and I genuinely love reading through all the theories -- for the most part. But I just wanted to make this post to kind of show my own thoughts on the show as a whole and its purpose. This is a show about not conforming, and accepting your differences above all else, but I think the story has taken on a new life over the past couple seasons as well! Just wanted to share and I hope if this comes across anyone's page, you aren't offended. Agree to disagree and all that, haha *sweats*.
