Appearance: Jayfire is a large, bulky, muscular, medium-furred pointed white blue-gray charlie with blue and yellow eyes with a dark blue-gray mane. They have a small scar under their right eye, and a two claw scar on their lower right foreleg. He has burn marks on their back, left foreleg and left shoulder. Xe wears a brown belt with green highlights on the knife holster. She wears jay and swan feathers at the base of xer tail, fox teeth in his left ear as well as coyote teeth in his antlers.

"Let me go Jay" Swanstorm hissed as she was pulled back "You toothless maw"

"Jaystonee, if you don't let me go-" she was cut off as she was tossed onto the grass.

"Oh my little minnow, it's okay" she heard Otterstrike mew as she soothed Sedge.

"We're leaving" she stated firmly

Swanstorm eyes narrowed in a challenge "We?"

"Yes" she curled her lip, blocking the river from his sister's view "We're leaving, now"

Swanstorm’s ears were pinned to her head and her tail lashed "Fine"

She ignored Mistedstorm's gaze at the back of her head as they left, her resolve already strained.

The walk back to camp was quiet barring the lashing of Swanstorm’s tail. All Jaystone wanted to do was eat then sleep.

"Who do you think you are?" Swanstorm snapped

"Who do you think you are?" they repeated "They own the rocks"

"The Pasa's Step belongs to us"

"You wanted the two of us to take on a patrol of five, traza?" she ignored the hiss from xer littermate "You're foolish"

Swanstorm took a swing making Jaystone lurch back "And you're a coward"

She blocked a blow as Swanstorm advanced "She didn't need to be mauled"

"Oh like you're one to talk" Swanstorm laughed "Remember Slatetail?"

Fury flamed through Jaystone "Don't you dare compare him to that innocent student"

"A course cat? Innocent? You really have gone soft" Swanstone slammed her antlers hard against theirs, a heachache starting to form.

Jaystone broke off and made a chase. Using the trees as jumping points. Swanstorm gained way, jaws snapping.

Jaystone tried to dodge once more but Swanstorm found her mark and slammed her against the rock head first. The snap was audible and the world span as she stumbled back and hit the ground.

"Pala!" she heard her littermate curse.

All she could do was groan and gasp, trying to keep the world from spinning which wasn't helped with her sister prodding her as she seemed to look her over.

"You're fine, I think, no blood" she leaned against her "Sorry about your antler"

Jaystone groaned as a response.

"This wouldn't have happen if you let me claim the rocks, when did you get so soft?"

Jaystone didn't satisfy her with a response, curling xer back to the her.

"Yes the shame is hard to admit" she felt a nudge at her side "Hopefully Moonface won't yell at me for attacking a sapling"

Jaystone hissed as she was hauled onto Swanstorm’s back.

"The meetings at Rapo's grove haven't been any good" Swanstorm commented "You're better off at camp"

"Bite me" Jaystone found her voice

"Bite the deathsongs Jay" her sister replied swiftly "We're Splinters Jay, it's time you embraced that"

Man Jayfire and Sweetgumheart’s whole dynamic is just intriguing from start to finish.

Ik I chose them mostly out of my old obsession of BlueSweet but these versions of them are so fun to play with plus their upbringing

Not foils but interesting contrasts with how they go about things

Hmmmm maybe a shirt about jayfire? The thoughts of her kits? The death of her sister?

She doesn’t let herself get lost these days. There were always distractions to be had and constant.

A constant was the blood that seemed to follow her. Her mother’s fierce roar to her looking so small, her sister always ready for battle, to kill, even a young cat trying to flee, she couldn’t let her do that, she spent her time pulling that she didn’t watch her step.

She deserved Burrstrike’s rage.

Her thoughts and words didn't matter, weren't worth anything but misery and burdens.

The tiny mews of two kittens rang in her head, kittens with fins. A part of her screamed to let them stay, damn the law, damn the spirits.

And yet, her mind traveled to Foxtail’s cubs, Breezeflight.

She wouldn't keep burdening xer guild.

She gained and lost and yet she remained standing. She didn't rest, no good came from laying around with her mind, she was a worthy member of her guild.

She and Burrstrike disagreed with each other more than ever, common members of the pit. She wanted to hate him and yet it seemed a part of him burned how she did, the memories of their kithood were they would argue to play commander.

It seems fitting when her remaining kit is born moons later, sickly and weak. Another burden and another reminder of why living in the past was wasteful.

He tries knives but it’s kinda like a papercut.

Jayfire will be both horrified and intrigued at this realization

Large, short-furred, thickset dark pointed blue-gray molly with blue and yellow eyes. She has a scar below xer right eye, one that parts the fur between their shoulders and on the front right leg.

They have large blue antlers with fox teeth decorated on them. She wears two jay feathers at the base of xer tail, two fox teeth in her left ear and a cuff on xer right left leg with three water stones. Xe wears a brown belt stitched with a sun with a blue knife twined with a moonflower and swan’s neck daffodil.

They also wear a crown for ceremonial occasions that has Amsonia, Veronica, and Potentilla weaved into it.
