The world was spinning in a blurry dishwasher. When did that start?

"Hunter?"

A voice echoed from somewhere distant. He didn't know where he was, or what happened. It suddenly was hard to breathe.

"Woah, woah okay. Deep breaths, breathe with me."

The voice was close now, albeit still a bit muffled with his ringing ears. It pierced through his hearing suddenly like a flash forward, his vision becoming overly sharp and bright. Hunter squinted and whined softly at the overwhelming array of colors and structures around him, now in full focus.

"Hey, hey." (Y/N) said calmly with a hint of urgency.

Hunter felt a gentle touch on his shoulder, but it made his skin squirm. He gasped out softly and whipped his head to their face. He panted and took it in full excruciating detail. It at least made his lungs feel unblocked again as a wave of calm washed over him. (Y/N) was gazing at him with their sympathetic eyes that held a hint of concern behind them.

"It's okay." They began gently, removing their hand from his shoulder as they sensed his unease.

They held their hand placatingly at a short distance and began to breathe deeply. They were demonstrating how to breathe. Hunter followed almost automatically as his lungs craved oxygen. The deep breaths caused his head to feel airy at first, but (Y/N) continued to gently guide him even as he struggled to keep himself up.. on his hands. When did he get to the floor?

(Y/N) seemed to pick up on his confusion and slightly trembling limbs. "Just focus on breathing right now, nevermind that. Alright?"

They began to count with their fingers in between each deep breath since he couldn't seem to focus. Hunter followed weakly.

They had seen Gus demonstrate this to Hunter in times previous, but they didn't think their own hand would have the same effect as his friend's had before.

A few minutes went by and Hunter seemed to calm down rather quickly. He inhaled deeply and sighed. His limbs felt like lead; he attempted to move to a nearby cabinet with no progress. (Y/N) sensed the issue and swiftly sat him against the lower cabinets before he passed out again.

A beat of silence as they looked worriedly into one another's eyes.

"What.. what happened? Why can't I move?" Hunter asked, his voice creaking from the strain in his throat muscles.

"You had a panic attack I think. Just.. take it easy." (Y/N) said, sitting in front of him on the floor.

"You.. think?" Hunter said, panic seeping into his tone. "I don't.. I don't remember-"

"No no no, don't do that. Trust me." They warned gently.

They seemed to try grounding Hunter by putting a hand cautiously on his knee. He looked at them in confusion, trying to ignore the electricity at their connected limbs.

"Let's not.. go down that route again. That's what got you in this predicament in the first place. No thinking. Take a breather before you cause me to have a crisis too." (Y/N) chuckled nervously.

Hunter nodded and moved his leg onto the floor to rid of the horrible sensation. He's sure whatever happened, they would fill him in later. It seemed he really shook them up, and he didn't want to add to that any more than he already did.

"Alright." Hunter said.

He was happy to sit there for a moment. It's not like he really had a choice, seeing his limbs felt like jelly. But he couldn't help but ponder anyway, and it was clearly evident on his face.

"Hey, you promised." (Y/N) said firmly.

"Sorry, I just can't help it." Hunter said.

(Y/N) sighed and scooted next to him.

"If I tell you, will you promise to try and stay calm? I don't want you hurting yourself."

This worried Hunter. He hurt himself? He looked back to them, guilt written all over his face. He nodded. (Y/N) looked at his expression peculiarly but took a deep breath and continued anyway, shrugging it off for a later question.

"You... were hyperventilating and uh.." They paused, they had to be careful to not set him off again. "Something- something seemed wrong. I tried to snap you out of it, but you.. I don't know."

(Y/N) instantly knew they chose the wrong words when they looked back at Hunter. His eyes looked slightly haunted and he looked down at his hands like he did before he fell unconscious earlier. (Y/N) widened their eyes and hurriedly but gently took his hands into their own. They made sure to be firm in case he seemed to get lost again. Hunter looked up sadly, squirming his hands.

"You okay?" (Y/N) asked worriedly.

"Did I..? Did I hurt you..?" He asked, pulling his hands away.

Hunter looked like a kicked puppy just then, it broke their heart. They suddenly came to the realization of why Hunter looked at them like that before. Now they weren't sure if he was pulling away for self-preservation, or if something else was wrong.

"Hey, of course not. Sorry if I made you assume that. You were just having a rough time, okay? I think you were lost in your... thoughts, is all." (Y/N) said carefully.

"Do you promise? I'll never forgive myself if-"

"No, I promise. I just don't want whatever happened to happen again so I'm intentionally being.. choosy with my words."

This made Hunter calm down a bit. But then there was still one unanswered question.

"Is everything alright? Do you not want to be touched right now?" (Y/N) began.

"What happened? I can take it. Please, my head is spinning here." Hunter begged.

(Y/N) paused for a moment before deciding he deserved the truth, even if they thought he couldn't handle it right now. Their question could wait a moment.

"You were doing the dishes. And I was writing on my computer when you suddenly began to hyperventilate.."

(Y/N's) project was almost wrapped up. Only a couple more pages and they could send it in to the editor. They stroked the keys gracefully before a loud gasp brought them out of "the zone". They looked over to the noise. Hunter having done the dishes, had his back facing towards (Y/N). All they could see was that he was trembling with his head bent down, he was panting.

(Y/N) worriedly furrowed their brows and stood up slowly from the table to walk over to Hunter.

"..Hunter?" They asked.

No response, they were met with his rapid breathing.

"Hey sweetie, what's wrong? What ha-"

They gently turned Hunter around and froze when they saw the gushing slash on his finger. Fuck. (Y/N) rushed to grab the nearest dry, clean towel, pressing down on the cut that extended from his finger to his palm. Hunter was still panting harshly after a moment; they looked up at him now.

"Hey, it's just a little cut. It'll be okay." They said with a warm smile.

Hunter seemed to look past them, his eyes glazed over. With tears? From being in a memory? (Y/N) couldn't tell. They gently raised a hand to his scarred right cheek.

"Hunter? You with me?"

His eyes seemed to focus on them, but also right through them. Like he wasn't actually seeing (Y/N), but someone else. They didn't like that look in his eyes, it gnawed at them from the inside as if they did something horribly wrong. Hunter started to go pale under his sweat-slicked skin. (Y/N)'s worry grew, and practically skyrocketed, upon seeing his eyes roll back into his head and seeing his knees bucle before their eyes.

"Hunter!" (Y/N) cried out.

They managed to catch him, just barely. His body was limp in their arms before guided down to the cold, linoleum floor

"You were out for a few minutes. I was close to calling an ambulance or something. When you came to, I had no idea what had happened, not exactly. But then you started hyperventilating again, and I realized it was probably just.. a really bad panic attack or something of the sort. You really gave me quite the scare there." (Y/N) finished.

Hunter blinked. Well that would explain why they were being cautious about the subject. He truly hadn't remembered it. Based on what they were saying though..

"I think it was a flashback." Hunter said.

"What?" They asked worriedly.

"That's the only thing that makes sense. You said you've had them before, right? I remember when you told me about them, and your extensive research on them for your peace of mind, and it seems like that." Hunter said.

"Wait.. you don't.. remember?" (Y/N) asked.

"Remember... what?" Hunter asked.

"What was going on in your head? What you were feeling or what I did? None of it?" They asked, voice laced with concern.

"No, not really. I remember.. clearing my plate and going to the sink. The rest is... black. Blank." He said.

(Y/N) frowned. They recalled their own fits like this as a kid. Well, not by their own account of course, but from loved ones. This was long before they knew what was happening in their small little body. Long before they knew they had experienced trauma, and what it did to a person.

"Then that's exactly what that was, Hunter. I only assume from experience." They said.

"I really don't want to remember... what that was." Hunter said.

"And you don't have to, not right now. But someday.. you will have to face those things whether you want to or not. I know that sounds scary, but you'll always have me. Probably your friends too. You won't have to face them alone." (Y/N) clarified.

Hunter was afraid, but he smiled gently at the thought. But then there was the fact that he probably was in his head, alone.

"But.. you aren't in here with me. Yeah you understand but, at the end of the day it's just me in here. You can't.. you can't be there." Hunter said anxiously.

(Y/N) sighed.

"That might be true. We might be trapped alone in our meatsuits, this little thing we call a cranium. But guess what else? That doesn't mean you're really alone. I will always be within reach. Always." They reassured.

He smiled and (Y/N) took his hand gently.

"Promise." They said.

He noticed his skin wasn't as sensitive for a moment, he rejoiced in not feeling like he was being struck by lightning. He looked away for a second but then back to (Y/N), after he realized.. they meant it.

Plot: Luz and friends are wandering the forest until they discovering a statue of the reader. They went up to it to get a closer look but for some reason they all decided to argue on something and Because of that, the statue started to crack setting free the spirit of chaos and disharmony. Some chaotic wacky hijinks happens and now they're pretty good friends and the reader wants to help get them back to the boiling Isles.

☆ the moment you burst out of your stone prison, you already had spells thrown at you left and right, having startling the group, who completely forgot about their previous argument and now were focused on the new entity

☆ You hardly shown any phase as you flickered your hand and their attacks just flew into the nearby statues of the yard. Before yawning and asking if they were done

☆ of course, the gang did not like you to begin with, not one bit. A weird myrhical... beast infront of them that reflected their magic with a single flick of a wrist. Not onlt that, but you had such insane abilities that put them oj edge... immediately thinking that you're like the collector in disguise

☆ Luz was the first to react to you without hostility. You were a beast with magical power, magic power that she had never seen before. If you were possibly here, then maybe there was a way that you could help them back! She was desprate for anything, and despite her girlfriends protests, she was the first to accept you

☆ she also was very curious and intrigued by you. So you told her what you were, a draconequus. And you tried to answer as many questions as you can that flabbered out of her mouth. But had to let her down when you told her you didnt know a way back, that you had been stuck in stone for such a long time that you couldnt even remember how toy made it to the human world. Despite her sadness, you reasurred her that youd help in any way that you can

☆ Gus was the second. The illusionist already took great wonder to your weird form. It was almost immediately after Luz and you had your conversation, Gus was already up in your grill and interviewing you with Luz. Both of them were fascinated! So you caved in abd showed the both of them some of your abilities

☆ after that, Gus would find ways to wrangle you into certain activites, whether it be games or lil friend pranks! Gus quickly took a liking to you, and the fact that you can cause illusions, but REAL illusions! He definitely tried to ask you to make certain things from his and hunters favorite series

☆ Willow was third. She was weary, but seeing how Gus quickly took quite a liking to you, she let lose some of her concerns. Enough to let Gus drag her over to meet her properly. You were very nice to her, which caught her off gaurd, but she decided you were fine, especially since you didnt try to attack her or gus or anyone else in tjat manner. You and her strike up lovely conversations!

☆ asks you sometimes what plants you can make, and when you shown her you can basically make your own, she was astounded! She taught you how to take care of plants properly without smashing them as soon as you touch it<3

☆ Hunter was the fourth. Especially after dealing with so much trauma, he didnt like you, neither did he like how your power was so similar to the collecters. That any moment you could take apart the world and bend it together in your own reality of play. It was hard get Hunter to fully trust you.

☆ though, seeing how gus and willow took a liking to you and talked to you, Hunter let his gaurd down abit with you. You noticed how he would give you these questioning looks, or feel him watching you. It wasnt until you poofed a wolf puppy into your hands he decided he liked you. You gained his trust stupidly, because you poofed a wolf pup in the room and he got to hold it until you poofed it away. He was over the moon about it!

☆ Amity was the fifth. Out of all of them, she was the hardest to crack. She didnt trust you one bit, she didnt like you. Youd always walk into a room and she would immediate be glaring at you. You really didn't even know how you could get her to trust you. Everything you tried she would brush of her soilder. Your magic set her off edge, and she was destined to protect her friends, aswell as your big and looming appearance

☆ she protested against Luz getting near you, being the protective girlfriend she is. But the way you were kind to the rest of her friends, she softened. Though, she still had a hard time striking a conversion with you, but, the fact you shown no hostility to them, she deemed you.... okay, for now. Until you usr your magic to help them, she woukd accept you as an ally

☆ When you actuallt started helping them find their way back to the boiling isles, you were valuable. Out of the group you had the strongest abilities. Which ment you were probably the biggest hope for them to get home! They depended on you, and instead of uding your magic badly, you did your best to impress your friends and help them in any way you could

Dream invasion time-- He would SO rummage through your mind if you made a deal with him.

If you pissed him off, he'd probably jab a fork in your arm while possessing you. He wouldn't be as insane as he was with Stanford's body, though. He wants yours to work properly.

Dream demon or not, he probably had a Drea- NIGHTMARE... it was SO a nightmare... about having more fun with you if you built the portal.

Would be touchy. Not in a weird way (if you ask, he'll stop) but he'll just, like, pat your shoulder or something like that.

If Weirdmageddon 2 happens he is SO finding you and inviting you to his party. You're coming, too. You don't got a choice. Womp womp.

If one of his friends were to eat you, he'd probably be disappointed as all hell, but it really depends on how close you are with him. Besties? He'd kill that monster and resurrect you with the parts left. Just acquaintances? Who are you again?

Clingy bastard. If your insert is mortal, he'll be by your side 24/7 if Weirdmageddon is happening. Even if your insert ISN'T mortal.

Would be even MORE touchy.

He'd set up boundaries and be clear with his own while probably ignoring yours. (he isn't a great partner)

It's probably a toxic one-sided relationship at first. Bill is NOT a good person at ALL. He always had a goal in mind. He sees his romantic interest of you as a little thing that just ALSO happened.

Probably gets flustered by affection really easily if you're the one showing it.

He won't know much about human affections, so you'll probably have to show him the ropes.

Before you do THAT, though, he'll probably just bite you (with his freaky fucking eyeball mouth thing). Not even as a sexual or possessive thing. He just likes to bite you. Defending Him

Yeah yeah its a series of redraws calm down. This isn't a au I just felt like it fit them.

I put Boscha in her Grudgby jacket because its the time of year where she's at her worst. Everything else just kinda fell into place.

Also yes Boscha would absolutely get her ass kicked but she won't let herself appear threatened in front of Willow. Willow would get in serious trouble for dueling Boscha though because ShE's THe sTaR GrUdgBy PlaYEr aNd iF sHe gEtS iN trOuBle tHe TeAM wILl lOse (Yes real schools are like this. i went to one.)

Side note, while on the topic of Boscha, I've had serveal people criticize my writing of Boscha in my fanfics because never seems to get any punishment for her bullying. And like... I understand because as a reader you do want her to get punished so she can pay for what she's done, but the reason why I don't typically do this is because the show literally makes it clear that Boscha doesn't get punished by the school because she's the Grudgby captain. She can get away with almost anything because if she gets in trouble then Hexside will do worse in sports matches, and the staff don't want that because people care WAY too much about sports.

And also schools get geninuely almost never do anything to actually stop bullying. Again, real schools are like this. I lived through that shit. I'm glad TOH protrays this because all those kids shows that are like "If yOur BeInG bUlLied tEll aN adUlt" just don't work. Adults don't do jack shit most of the time. Any time I went to an adult they'd be like, "Well maybe you shouldn't *insert neurodivegant trait here,* and you wouldn't be bullied" or "Oh he probably just likes you," "Oh just ignore them," and then did jack shit. And I'm sure I'm not the only one who can vouch for this.

About the Admin and Blog

Hello hello! I'm the Admin, I use (they/he/it) pronouns! For years I have read and consumed canon x reader insert content, and decided it's about time I give back to the community!

This is a multi fandom blog, with the blog changing with my interests! by default, though, Creepypasta is what I write when no interest is pushing me enough to right (and will continue to be the default for the foreseeable future, thanks to the fandom playing such a large role in my childhood)

This blog mainly focuses on short lists of headcannons for reader inserts, however occasionally scenarios will be posted as well as general headcannons!

I must say, I am not the best writer nor am I the best with characterization, so please note that some characters may be OOC

Below you can find what I write!

What I will write:

As of 12/24/23 I only take 1-3 characters per ask; any ask that exceeds that number will be put in the wheel to draw names to see who stays in the request

I write platonic, romantic, and found family

I will write most (descriptive)!readers however overly complex readers may be denied depending on the scenario

Typically I write hcs and scenarios!

You can ask for readers that are disabled or have a disorder but please note that while I will do research, I may not be able to get it perfect <\3

This is more of a case by case thing depending on the ask and depending on my mental health at the time of it being sent, but I may not take requests for a reader who has been abvsed or s/hs

I'm open to doing headcannons, I mean, I basically insert all of my hc's into the stories I write LOL

It might take some getting used to, though! Since I'm so used to writing flowing stories.

As of right now, I don't have a character limit. But be aware, the more that is requested, the longer it might take to write. I usually write every other day, so I have days in between to draw. I'd appreciate if the characters requested are in the same fandoms, though. Unless it's something like a mix of fandoms, like my Hunter x Fem!Reader (which was a mix of TOH and SU) fic that was requested.

Just make sure any requests follow the guidelines on my masterlist, and I'd be more than willing to try!

So Vivzie just tweeted this and I have thoughts that won't fit well into tweets so here I am

For starters, the criticism of fanfiction isn't targeted towards the queer aspects. In fact I've found that some of the most extreme critics of fanfiction culture are also queer people. From the fujoshi fandom that causes an extreme rise in MlM shipping but largely for fem gazey smut, the unrecognised untagged unhealthy relationship tropes, to the misogyny often within these works, stories like these come with many issues.

The criticism of writing feeling like fanfiction, especially towards Helluva Boss, is that the elements of the stories people heavily critique feel unnecessary, tropey, and derailing from consistency.

In The Circus, I do not fault the idea of a queer character having a childhood crush on a same sex friend. The problem is more to do with how it stunts the desperation Blitz has to keep his business alive, since he's no longer just sleeping with some rich guy but an old friend, and the sudden unexpectedness of their situation. It's also a common trope where the live interests actually knew each other as kids so it feels overdone and generic.

In Exes and Oohs, the mafia setting feels completely bizarre considering the intense bigotry and classism within the world. Not only that but the daddy issues, fridged mum, forced marriage and overall unrealistic depiction of the mafia is very common in fanfiction written by teens who do no research and just want the aesthetics.

Secondly, there are plenty of straight works that have a similar label attached to them. ACOTAR and TOH both have writers who originally wrote fanfiction and they didn't develop out of the negative habits within fanfiction writing. Therefore their original work feels like fanfiction. Riverdales "I'm weird, I'm a weirdo" speech was heavily critiqued for sounding like a fanfiction line.

Thirdly, a big reason for being compared to fanfiction is the unfinished feeling of the scripts. I've already pointed out in a previous post that some of the dialogue in Western Energy felt like it needed to be cut down by an editor. And most people agree that the situations and logic aren't often very well thought through, such as how the aging machine could have just been reversed or how DORKS should have been killed off. The scripts feel like loose first drafts that could use additional edits. Fanfiction usually doesn't have an editor or even a beta reader, I've seen more "no beta we die like *insert character*" tags in many of the fandoms I read for than "beta" tags.

If people critiqued the owl house for feeling fanficcy because it had a diverse cast in a highschool setting with a quirky MC, I'd agree it's a bad descriptor because it's directly the queer and neurodivergent stories that are being attacked. Or if Murder Drones was labelled as fanficcy because it has an edgy teen female MC I'd say it's unfair because a lot of girls genuinely act like that and deserve to be represented and have our stories told. But most of the criticism about Helluva Boss to do with its LGBT rep is less to do with its inclusion and more to do with people feeling it's falling into yaoi tropes. Not the fact it includes queer stories.

This is something We Are Not Alive said recently that such with me, but just because it's an indie project doesn't mean we have to settle for subpar writing. There are loads of indie productions you can support! Murder Drones, Lackadaisy, the animated Anne Frank movie, and these are just some of the more popular ones!

And I wish people would stop weaponising every single argument to try and defend issues in Helluva Boss. The fandom says "of course it has issues" then cries when we point that out.
