Tommy covered his baffled reaction to the name on his phone by opening with, "This is Tommy Kinard. We worked together for over a decade. You're a paramedic with LA Fire and Rescue."

Howie coughed on a spurt of laughter. "God, that's not funny. Shut up."

Tommy grinned, almost asking him to identify street signs, but the joke could only go so far. "Shouldn't you be resting?"

"I've been in bed for the last two weeks," Howie retorted.

"It's been four days."

"Has it?" Howie groused. "Or are you gaslighting me again?"

"Literally everything I said was true. Are you okay?"

"I'm so bored, man. My wife-" He cut himself off, and when he started again, the smile was clear in his voice. "My wife left to take a nap at home, so I'm..."

"Alone for the first time since this debacle began. And you thought of me? I'm touched."

"Don't be too flattered. Everyone I would normally yap at has already been here."

"I was there," Tommy pointed out.

"Oh, I remember," Howie said, and there it was, out in the open.

At least he hadn't beat around the bush for too long.

"My own brother-in-law," Howie went on. Even as Tommy geared himself up, it was sweet how Howie kept testing out the new terminology, rolling it around on his tongue.

"Yep." Tommy lightly drummed his fingers on the table. "Your fully adult brother-in-law with the ability to make his own decisions."

"Whoa, hey. Gloves down, Rocky Balboa. I know that. I just-" He sighed. "Wanted to prepare you."

Tommy frowned. "For?"

"The vibe. Everything Gerrard's house wasn't, Bobby's house is, and vice versa."

"Shocking as it may seem, I don't get many crews banging down my door to rescue their captain and his wife on vacation in the Pacific. During a hurricane."

"Yeah? I figured it was like a monthly thing."

Tommy sideyed the phone.

Howie sighed to himself. "Look, we show up for each other in ways most people don't. It's basically a reflex at this point."

"And this is you showing up for him."

"No. Quit projecting, dammit. For you, you obtuse ass."

"Oh."

"We're... a lot. Just be ready for a lot."

Tommy didn't know what to do with this, but rejecting it out of hand seemed like a dumb play. "You don't intend to be a lot?"

"My brain is swollen, Tom. I don't have the energy. And my wife likes it when her little brother is happy. I mean, we all do, but-"

"She's your wife."

"Yeah," Howie said, thrilled, almost disbelieving. "She is."

Christopher McQuarrie: In that first test, when I walked into that theater in Paramus, New Jersey, I turned to my wife and I said, This is not a test of the movie for me. This is a test of the audience. Because the audience can quite rightly reject this ending. 15 year old boys can quite easily reject this ending. I'm waiting for the cards that say there's just too much fucking talking at the end of the movie, that voiceover. It's just like, you know, we just want to see people kick ass. And they embraced it. I came away from the first test knowing, you know, first act was still a real struggle. But I was quite moved. I was because I really felt with Dead Reckoning I'd lost my connection to the audience. I understand every movie I make is flawed. I understand, I've been there. There are very few movies that aren't but I was, and there are things that just kill me with Dead Reckoning that we just - because with these movies you don't just make a plan and go shoot the plan. You're wrestling with these movies all the time. You're struggling and you're fighting with them and you're pushing and you're pulling and it's pushing and pulling you....

And no Mission: Impossible doesn't have some level of flaw. It doesn't have some level of convolution. That's all because of the ambitions of this movie. The shit that works in the movie works because of the shit that doesn't. And so when I walked into that theater, I knew, and I accepted that the audience could reject this ending. And I knew there was no arguing with that. If all those people in Paramus, New Jersey, had said What the fuck is this, it'd be gone. You'd never have seen it. I didn't know what I would put in its place. I didn't know what it would put in its place. And I didn't know if I'd ever make a movie again. Because it contains within it things that I felt were important to say and more importantly things that were important to feel and say. And when the audience embraced it, I was - I knew - I knew this journey had been worth it. And I knew, I knew I was. I knew I still had a future.

That didn't mean that the movie was a slam dunk. It didn't - I didn't go out like, Yeah, now everything's working. I was just like, Thank God they accepted this. I was so grateful. I had such gratitude that the audience accepted it and accepted it in such half-baked form at that stage. That was like, that's what got me through it. That got me through a very very very difficult post: the fact that they're hearing it, they're actually listening. And you know I've been talking to you [Chris Hewitt] for years about how the audience isn't listening and I don't trust them to listen to the dialogue and I don't trust them to respond emotionally to words, nor have I expected to since everything post The Usual Suspects, which is entirely about words, it's essentially a stage play. I've gotten further and further away from my reliance on the word as an emotional conveyance.

And i remember very distinctly when I read Tom that ending - which was at that point the denouement, not the coda. And when I read him that ending….[I saw] how it hit him because he's really my………..you know Tom will not feel something he doesn't feel. Tom won't talk himself into feeling something. Eddie [Hamilton] won't talk himself into feeling something. If those guys don't feel it, it doesn't work, and it's never going to. And movie-making a lot of times is you talking yourself into shit just 'cause you gotta, you just want to finish. You just want to make your day and you just want to get out of here. And you reach what Ed Zwick's called 'the great fuck-it'. These guys don't have that. They just don't have it. So that became - so those stakes and that emotionality and all of those things that are at the end of the movie are there because of that and are really there because of - you know, if you're listening to this and you were sitting in that test audience in Paramus, New Jersey, once upon a time: thank you. Thank you for believing in the movie.

Sorry for such a long absence, I just had things to do at school and why I didn’t post art, But don’t worry, I didn’t die lol.

And I want to remind you that I added two new eddsworld characters, because I wanted to do it earlier but I didn’t succeed.

Here are some pieces of art that I drew and you will also get to know new characters! :)

Lia🌈

Lia - 30 years old, height approximately 4'1", previously lived in Brazil with her family, then she was 18 years old, she lived in a large family as she has three more twin brothers, and two older sisters, including parents . Lia had to leave his native side to another because he was expelled from the country for an unknown reason, and for which Lia cannot see his family and brothers and sisters normally. Lia herself would very much like to visit her family or take her family from countries so that they live in the same country and city as her, Lia herself is very familiar with Tord, Tom and Leela, including Mimsa.

Mims🌸

mims - 32 years old, height 3'10" artificial intelligence that was invented by the creator and at the same time drawn by him, no one knows that she is not exactly human, that is, she looks like a person but it is almost impossible to kill him, but she has organs like a person and so on, but his organs are not real, they are artificial, the only thing that can kill Mims is his files, since his files are him as organs and as a soul, these files themselves are in the personal Computer of the creator. The creator of Mims herself abandoned her too early , because she thought that she was a problem and a failed project and why Mims really hated her creator after she abandoned him. Mims herself only communicates with Tord and Lia, since she doesn’t want to communicate with new people, especially she doesn’t Leela and Jon loved her, but most of all Jon, because Mims didn’t like the fact that Jon had exactly the same eyes as hers, and Leela didn’t love her only because she was his sister. Mims sometimes if she meets them on the street, she constantly mocks them over Leela and Jon and at the same time calling them not funny jokes, you can say that she is somewhat similar in character to Eduardo but only twice as impudent but fair.

A little over a year after making a worldwide deal for Tenzing, a new film based on the true story of sherpa Tenzing Norgay and his 1953 summiting of Mount Everest, Apple has found its lead in Genden Phuntsok (Jinpa), who will play the title role.

The news comes days after Apple’s announcement that BAFTA nominee Ruth Madeley will lead its disability rights drama Being Heumann, based on the bestselling memoir by Judy Heumann, from CODA Oscar winner Siân Heder. Production is currently underway, and you can check out a first-look still of Phuntsok above.

As previously announced, Tom Hiddleston co-stars in Tenzing as New Zealand mountaineer Edmund Hillary, with Willem Dafoe set to portray English expedition leader, Colonel John Hunt, and Caitríona Balfe on board for the role of Jill Henderson, a friend of Tenzing who helped organize trips up Mount Everest. Thinley Lhamo (Shambhala) will round out the cast as Tenzing’s wife, Dawa.

In 1953, Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary, both outsiders on a British Expedition, defied insurmountable odds to achieve what was once thought impossible, reaching the summit of the world’s tallest mountain, Mount Everest. After six previous attempts, Tenzing risked everything for one final venture. He had to navigate treacherous politics and perilous weather as he embarked on the most significant climb of his life. Through it all, he did so with humor, warmth, and generosity towards his fellow climbers, but also deep reverence and respect for the sacred Mother Goddess of his mountain, Jomolungma.

Luke Davies (Lion) penned the script for the biopic. Pic’s director is Jennifer Peedom, who has a close relationship with the Tenzing family and the Sherpa community following her work on the BAFTA-nominated documentary, Sherpa. Producers include Liz Watts, Emile Sherman and Iain Canning for See-Saw Films, alongside Desray Armstrong, Peedom and Davies. Norbu Tenzing (son of Tenzing Norgay), Simon Gillis and David Michôd will serve as executive producers, with Pravesh Sahni co-producing and Rakesh Singh line producing for Itop Film Productions.

A Chinese actor of Tibetan descent, Phuntsok is best known for turns in films like Jinpa and Wind. Lhamo has appeared in films including Shambala, Hari, and Naakaa. Neither appears to have U.S. reps at this time.
