Every day the fault lines continued to crawl forward on his chest and slither down his legs like an infection he had no way of ever finding the cure for. It's a cruel sick reality that he's had to come to face each and every time he dares to stand in front of a mirror, disrobed before a bath or catching the sight of his own reflection as he looks just over his shoulder while he changes into his night clothes.

He knows. He knows. He's known.

How do you ignore such a thing as your death stretching out and cracking over your skin? His heart is as shattered as his soul is but hearing it out loud is an all new sense of plunging into an unending purgatory where he's caught between this twisted space between life and death. Not quite dead yet but not quite living anymore either.

He couldn't call himself a ghost anymore even if the only thing his mouth ever did was speak from the graveyard of a lost civilization. It's hard to hear it. It's hard to hear that's no hope for him even if hope was that fickle little thing he only ever dared to pick up from time to time. Hope was a rose he should know better than to touch because while it looks beautiful from afar it pricks him every time.

It pricks him and the blood flows. It pricks him and the tears stream leaving the prince only able to wrap his arms around himself as he crashes to the ground in a weeping mess of shattering stability. He can't keep it up much longer. He doesn't know how much he can keep on the mask of his sanity before he shatters before them all and reveals the fragmented monster that rests just below the surface.

They - they were the only family he had left and he didn't need them to see their prince - their King as such a discomposed wretch as this. He knows Revon will hear the crying in the hallway and he doesn't know how to halt his tears before the man returns to his post. He'd sent him away for only a moment. He'd sent him away to check on the others while he took a moment to change in his nightgown before he would attempt to find rest this evening but seeing the mess that was his body had that little beast's voice echoing in his mind again.

"There's no saving you." He's said as he felt that phantom touch of the poisonous pink python that lives in his mind. Forever haunting his every move. "There's no saving you precious. My beautiful Little Cloud, this is your fault for defying me. Look at what you've done to yourself."

And he couldn't deny it. He couldn't deny that the beast was right. It was his fault for rebelling. His was his fault for daring to snap back at the hand that kept him safe all these years since he crash landed in this world. If you could call that safe. Was it? No. He knew that tortuous environment was anything but -but it was - all he knew since he landed here and if he had just kept his head down and obeyed then -

-then he wouldn't be dying like this. A dying immortal. What a joke!

Even if that little beast is half way on the other side of Wonderland he can see feel hands ghosting over his back as he holds his nightgown close to his chest unable to even get the damned thing on to cover his bear chest. He's a shattering mess and - and - and -

"You know this is all your fault, don't you Little Cloud? I warned you didn't I? I told you what would happen if you disobeyed me again, didn't I, my pet?"

And it's all he can do to stare back at the wretched picture of himself reflecting in the mirror. The warzone walking. Look at the mess he'd turned himself into and his lips finally part as the cries slow and tears silently stream over his face.

"Yes Master. "

“There’s no saving you.” 

As his heart shattered so did the strength in his legs sending him collapsing to the ground. Somehow he had known what their answer was going to be and yet he still found himself screaming in anguish.

i love this part in two wuv sm bc i’ve never heard souls voice so weak and small. he’s usually sort of bold and quirky sounding, but here, he sounds so close to breaking down when he finally hears heart and mind sing in harmony. (aghhh it hurts💔💔😖)

Hey shadow what does it feel like when you take off/loose your inhibitor rings? Is it painful? Does it make your chronic pain worse? ;-;

What happens if you are without then too long?

Have you ever been worried about the inhibitor rings getting too old or breaking? CAN they get too old from years of absorbing your energy??

With all four rings on, the pain is merely background noise. I have bad days, and days where pain from mobility issues worsens the overall ache… but generally it’s possible to ignore it.

Losing just the ankle rings isn’t too problematic. They help with balance, keeping my Chaos Energy evenly distributed throughout my body, but I’m mot in danger without them.

Losing the ones from my wrists is a bigger problem. Not only is my power far harder to control, but the pain is worsened. It feels more like somebody has hollowed out my bones and filled them with molten lead. It’s not pleasant, which is why I only remove them as a last resort.

I don’t even know what would happen if I removed all four. I’ve never tried.

Luckily, the rings seem fairly stable. I obtained the original plans a few years back when I found the rest of the Professor’s journal. Since then, the fox has been helping me with general upkeep.

I NEED to have it addressed in fic form that the Rise turtles are fundamentally different than all their other counterparts, because their counterparts? They were accidents. Just a couple of turtles splashed with mutagen and oh look now they’re people but Green. (Huge oversimplification I’m aware but hear me out okay-)

But the Rise boys were created. They were specifically designed to be weapons of mass destruction. They were built with the intent to cause harm which means they were bioengineered to be stronger, smarter(?), faster, to heal quicker, to have the capacity to take hard hits while dishing out even harder ones, they were literally forged with a purpose to kill.

Add on their mystic powers? Then their unlocked Ninpo? You can’t honestly tell me that these four aren’t the strongest and potentially deadliest version of themselves out there.

Yes they still had to learn things, as did the other iterations, they weren’t immediately good (that much is obvious, like c’mon it’s IN the name) but I don’t think the other iterations possess the same instincts as these guys do. They’re just so. Unhinged. They’ve all had their moments in the show I think where it’s obvious they’re not really,,, stable. I love them.

In a plain fists only, maybe weapons, no powers fight, I do think some of the other iterations would win, but purely because they have way more experience than these guys do. (If I did any crossovers I’d say 2003 and 2012 are definitely older than these guys, especially if we’re basing this at the end of their shows) But put them against each other when they’re still at the same level? Rise is whooping butt, I know where I’m placing my bets. It’s called RISE of the TMNT for a reasonnnnnn they’re not there yet but they WILL BE, and as of the end of s2 and the movie I say they’re finally THERE.

I have no idea how this turned into a headcanon rant this was just supposed to be me asking for fic recs hsgdjdjdk it’s almost 3 am tho so whatever sorry if none or only some of this is incoherent o7 o/

The Lemonade Leak by TurtleSoupSwimmer [27/37 chapters, 143k words] I’m being told it’s very true to the theme here, and it’s very angsty, a suspenseful psychological thriller, and will make you scream at your phone. I for one am very intrigued

Eschatology by aenor_llelo, Alderous, ConcoctionsFromHell, izziel_galaxy, Jaybird314, Otakuforlife19, and Rocket999 [17/17 chapters, 344k words] “HEAVY on the boys being biologically engineered to destroy the world, it also delves into so much character building and worldbuilding that we never got in canon, and it gives even super minor characters the chance to shine” Sounds intriguing, AND it’s a BNHA crossover which I am a big fan of :D

The Hunter’s Bible also by TurtleSoupSwimmer [2/2 chapters, 15k words] Rated Mature, contains themes of SA and c@nnibalism so PLEASE keep that in mind!! Not a fic for the faint of heart this is a Dead Dove: Do Not Eat! The SA is only attempted, and never shown, only implied, and it’s only in ch 1, but the other stuff is fairly descriptive and takes place in ch 2. All that being said, flipping UNHINGED, just about lost my mind in ch 2, it was entertaining in a surreal kinda way if you get what I mean. Funky little feral creatures

"About humans? Most of them beyond that of Kain and a few others and incessantly arrogant. There are many I have been forced to swallow my own culture for because they deemed theirs to be all that mattered. The biggest problem I have come to find with humans is the fact that they seem to believe they are the only beings that exist in the universe and then they end up in Wonderland and have problems. They are complicated because they are so fragile.

Kain too. Even if I love that man to the ends of creation itself, there are still parts of him that are so fragile. His psyche not one of those things, nor his ego and thank Tiamat above for that.

Do you realize how fragile the human ego is? They call themselves evolved creatures but then get offended when someone else's religion differs from their own. I have had to stand through merciless badgering from humans before that 'Gods aren't real' quote-unquote and when I regret to inform them they are."

Mmhm, of course hehe.

This is a very funny question to me because I remember having this discussion about Santos' age with some of the other storyboard artists back when there was talk about leaning into more of a Killing Eve angle with her and Brooklynn (the final decision on how far we leaned into that was not our decision to make, I will note), and whether or not fans would find an age gap between them 'problematic' if we did lean into it too far LOL.

Because Dichen Lachman was TECHNICALLY around 39 or 40 when Dominion was filmed and took place... but I honestly have no idea if SANTOS is supposed to be that age, as well. Dichen's just got that really ageless look. If you told me Santos was in her late 20s to mid 30s I'd believe it just as easily.
