after nico dies he doesn’t go to elysium he actually becomes a judge (he technically DID take minos’ job) and he’s like will i can’t bear being away from you i want to spend an eternity with you and will is like okay yes i agree there has to be a way. what im saying here is that nico wears will’s soul like a ring. there is a beautiful sparkling golden ring on nico’s left ring finger and it’s will’s soul. quite literally wrapped around nico’s finger and with him at all times. they are never apart and never will be for all eternity

Excerpt:

“Fine, Than. I’m listening now. What is it that you want, truly? Tell it to me plain.”

Thanatos hesitates. A silence emerges, and then lengthens. When he does not answer, Zagreus exhales: a long, steady blow of exasperation through his quarrel-weary lips. He turns away, making towards one of the golden gates nearby.

“I’m going to leave now, Thanatos. Goodbye.”

“Zagreus!”

The way Thanatos says his name stops Zagreus in his tracks. His voice is sharp and quavering in a way that shocks even himself—his fear and longing laid bare. It is enough, apparently, for Zagreus to turn around, to make his way slowly back towards him. Once he is near, enough for Thanatos to make out the exquisite details in the irises of his mismatched red and green eyes, Thanatos, overcome, falls to his knees.

And then, before Zagreus has a chance to speak another word, Thanatos reaches out, wrapping his arm around Zagreus’ body in supplication, lifting the other to grip at his jaw.

Zagreus’ weapon drops at his side with a dull thud. He remains upright and rigid; perfectly still but for his head, pulled downwards as his gaze is brought toward Thanatos, who looks back up at him from where he clings on tightly.

“What do you want, Than?” Zagreus asks him again, quietly.

“I…”

I want you to come home. I want you to stay with me. I want you to see me… to see what’s here, inside my heart. I want you to love me. All these pleas are on the tip of Thanatos’ tongue. But he cannot say any of them.

Zagreus may be many things, but if nothing else, he is a prince who wants to do right by his subjects, or so Thanatos would like to believe. He wants to be a beloved, magnanimous sovereign in a way that his father could never be, even if he doesn’t quite know the proper way to go about it—often eschewing steady leadership for frivolousness and fraternization. Still, Thanatos is certain that even Zagreus is canny enough that he would not deny the entreaties of a supplicant. There is nothing from Zagreus that Thanatos wants given to him unwillingly or reluctantly…

Yet.

Thanatos listens to the sonorous drum of Zagreus’ heart inside his chest, pumping throughout his body his aberrant, ever hot crimson blood. He is so warm, and Thanatos yearns to press closer against his nourishing warmth: a sudden, burgeoning hunger for something he did not realize he had lacked. He nuzzles gently against Zagreus’ core, feeling the firm muscles shaping the flesh beneath the fabric of his chiton. He inhales lightly, smelling sweat and something else resembling the burnt, yet sweet fragrance of incense. The hand holding the small of Zagreus’ back to keep him in place fidgets restlessly, moving in slow circles, clutching him even closer. He laments that he is about to lose him… this feeling… forever.

Thanatos averts his gaze, showing deference, the movement of his lips gently grazing against the fine fabric of the prince’s chiton as he makes his plea.

“I want you.”

I've been avoiding Hades 2 spoilers because I haven't finished the first game but I know the vague plot

And i've noticed the startling lack of mention of the fate of Zagreus (or Persephone but this ain't about her) in the fandom

...That scares me. Do we know what Kronos is doing with him yet or are we all potentially about to be smacked with whump via ✨myth references✨? Because the worst (or best if you love angst) thing about a character that cant perma die is the fact that they cant PERMA die.

The title is a little spoilery, so I won’t share it, but it doesn’t matter too much as he’s at a spot on the map you can find accidentally.

It looks like this, so keep your eyes out:

I know I know I knowwwwww I get to see my darling dearest Brasidas at some point in Tartaus, but I wanna save whatever mission that is for as long as possible but I don't know which one it is and I don't want to google it in case I see spoilers because I don't know anything else about seeing him here

So since I finished the Torment of Hades portion of the dlc, I'm going to go ahead and say I liked it. I really like Hades as a character, the Underwirld part was cool, fighting the 4 fallen heros to guard the gates was nice (though I'm surprised Herakles, or really any of them, were trapped in the Underwotld...), and helping Charon was fun.

Im glad Phoibe got a sort of closure arc, and I love that the Cyclops is still tormented by goats lol. And adding in that killing that goat from the cutscene got you 'cyclops other eye' gave me a good laugh.

What I really liked, however, was that the new area was long enough to be fun but not overly big like Elysium felt.

Odyssey as a base game is too large, the first dlc with Darius and Natakas wasn't overly fun and too long imo for what the story told, and then Elysium was a whole new map to explore and felt too large for what you had to do for the story.

I think the Underworld portion was a good balance of both. Plenty to do but with a map that was neither too small nor overly large.

Looking at Atlantis... oh boy does it look big.
