Roti Shuffled AU!

They were decided randomly, though there were a couple I stepped in for, lol. The elimination order and teams are different.

Cast- (in OG elimination order)

Staci -> Cameron- Cameron is a small, sheltered boy who’s never had any friends. Desperate to form connection, Cameron began taking on the persona of a genius in an effort to impress people and get their attention. He usually doesn’t know if what he’s saying is true- but he’ll say it anyway to sound smart. He talks a LOT, too.

Dakota -> Lightning- Lightning has lived a very nice life. He’s hot, he’s rich, and he gets everything he wants. He’s a fitness model who gets a lot of media attention- the man loves himself so much, he’d probably marry his reflection. Under all that, there might be more to him- but the right somebody’s gotta be there to make it happen.

B -> Staci- Staci’s a quiet girl who’s spent much of her life being bullied- so much so that she barely talks. She didn’t even want to sign up for the season- some of her bullies forced her to film her audition tape. She’ll try her best in the game, but she doesn’t have any confidence in herself. She’s sure she’ll be the first boot.

Dawn -> Zoey- Zoey’s always been a bit out there, but she really came into her own when she discovered tarot and the healing properties of different minerals. She has a YouTube account where she posts daily readings for her subscribers- and she has a decent following. She plans to use the money to support animal conservation efforts.

Sam -> Dawn- Dawn’s family is rather well off, and thus have enabled Dawn’s addiction to video games since she was little. She picked one up from one of her friends at school, and has never looked back. She’s pretty out of touch in most instances, but she knows a LOT about all kinds of games. Gaming references are speckled into most conversations with her. Despite the fact that she’s usually looking at a screen, she’s far more perceptive than you’d think…

Brick -> Dakota- Dakota’s dad is a high ranking military general, and their family is quite well respected- or at least, Dakota’s father is. Dakota has always been quite attractive, but nobody ever takes her seriously- in fact, her appearance only makes it worse. She wants to prove to everyone that she’s more than just a pretty face- and that she deserves just as much respect as the others serving with her.

Anne Maria -> Mike- Vito is taking Mike’s place here- Mike doesn’t exist. Vito’s a hotheaded, cocky boy from Jersey whose family actually stars in Jersey Shore. He’s already got time in the spotlight, but he wants to try out something else- something a little more rugged. Oh, and maybe find a girlfriend is there’re any babes around. That’s definitely not his top priority.

Mike -> Brick- Brick is a sweet boy who’s been through a lot, but still follows his morals regardless- even if his alters arent exactly as keen on keeping up appearances. He wants more than anything to be liked- and to be seen as normal. He auditioned to prove to himself that he can keep himself under control. Whether that happens is… debatable. But maybe he’ll learn that he’s not the problem- and never was. (His alters’ names are Corporal, Jupiter, Cosmo, and Tiffany. I’ll draw them at a later time.)

Jo -> Anne Maria- Anne Maria is a fitness instructor who’s very confident in her own body, and wants to help others feel the same way. She’s used to being in charge, and any of her siblings will tell you that she’s not one to talk back to. She’s got a temper, for sure- though she really does have good intentions.

Scott -> B- B’s a very smart big guy who’s used to getting what he wants- and doing whatever it takes to make sure it stays that way. His family doesn’t come from the nicest background, and that shaped B into the person he is today. In a dog eat dog world, only the strongest survive. He’s seen TD before, and he’s sure he’s got what it takes to win. He’s all about working in the shadows- never putting himself in the spotlight. That’s where the previous villains failed- they were too obvious. B is confident he’s got what it takes.

Zoey -> Sam- Sam is a quirky guy who’s always been kinda lonely. You probably wouldn’t know who most of his favorite bands are- not that he wouldn’t love to show you! He came for fun more than anything- to see more of the world, meet new types of people, experience things he’d probably never see otherwise. And he hopes he can make some friends!

Lightning -> Scott- Scott is an aloof high school quarterback who’s popular in his small hometown for his many football victories. He may not be the smartest, but kid’s got skill. Everybody in town knows Scott Murphy- even if no one *actually* knows him. He very closed-off- perhaps from his home life, or perhaps it’s just how he is, but Scott never lets anyone get too close. He’s softer on the inside than he’d like to let on though- he’s just never felt comfortable being himself with anybody. He is pretty confident he’s got this in the bag, though.

Cameron -> Jo- Jo is a prodigy- smarter than anyone in her town, and by a large margin. She’s always been so far ahead that she had a bad habit of drawing lots of unwanted attention to herself in elementary school. After a move, she decided to change who she presented herself as to avoid the stigma she’d gotten from her peers in the past. Jo strived to come off as more jock-ish, and threw herself into sports. Nobody suspected a thing. She’s hoping to use her less threatening image to go under the radar, all the while pulling out the win form under everybody’s nose.

Total Drama family headcanons (and my urban fantasy AU editions)- Toxic Rats

B- he's biracial. He's also Leshawna's cousin.

Dakota- Her parents are divorced (Dakota's mom was her father's fourth wife), and she has a bunch of half-siblings via her parents' multiple marriages. May or may have been step-siblings with Lightning at some point.

Dawn- Probably an only child in canon. In my AU it's a little more complicated. As I've discussed in a previous post, I would make Dawn a relative of Mike. She'd either his cousin with her father being the adopted son of his grandfather Chester (and Chester would also be the grandpa of Katie and Jen the Fashion bloggers) or Dawn would be Mike's great-niece/adopted sister (long story).

Lightning- only child; his parents are divorced. May have been stepsiblings with Dakota at some point.

Sam- I actually don't have any headcanons regarding Sam's family.

Scott- He canonically mentioned a sister named Albertha. I also subscribe to the fan theory that Rodney and Crimson are his cousins. And in my AU, they'd also be cousins with Izzy, Harold, and Scarlett.

Staci- I think I've seen at least one fan theory suggesting she's an orphan.

Woooop final group before doing the alter’s designs

Lore:

The system is the first successful forced fusion as the experiments on earth were made centuries ago and progress on making them had been made. For each alter they would have a side that the gem would rotate to which would basically be their shard. They have limited shape-shifting abilities and when their shard is showing their colours change to reflect their gem along with some other minor changes. Has a form stabilizer that hides extra unsavoury body parts and keeps Mike in control all the time. At some point early on this breaks and leads to a journey of acceptance.

Every member of the system can access each other's weapons with great effort. Mal can produce holographic images from his gem. They are also able to self-duplicate with said holograms though these are the only ones able to interact with objects. Mal has a small amount of psammokinesis allowing them to control small amounts of sand at a time. He also has nephelokinesis allowing him to control the shape of clouds and mist. They are able to store objects in their gem. He can shoot out energy beams from his weapon. Mal’s weapon is a trident.

Vito alongside super strength has a strong form of pyrokinesis and heat resistance. With his pyrokinesis not only is he able to produce fire from his body but also control fire around him. He is also able to generate intense light from his body and gem. He can also control lava to an extent. Vito’s weapons are knuckle dusters.

Svetlana has super human speed and agility. She has a form of aerokinesis that assists her make leaps and bounds one normally would not be able to. She has a weak form of future vision only allowing her to see a few seconds ahead of her. She can shoot out a blast of energy when needed. Svetlana’s weapons are fans.

Manitoba has all the average powers of a quartz, that being super strength and durability. Manitoba’s weapon is a whip.

Chester has the ability to temporarily paralyze a gem he touches. Other than that he is quite week. He can also produce holograms from his gem though they are a lower quality than that of Mal’s. Chester’s weapon is a sling.

Mike has hydrokinesis on par with an average lapis. He is also able to convert water into it's different forms of matter. He can also make himself go into a semi liquid state although his gem will still be a solid. Mike’s weapons are gauntlets.

Staci and Anne Maria are high-class gems but with more a focus on Anne Maria than Staci because I don’t like her and don’t know what to do with her. Anyways Staci is a high class gem dealing in documenting history and making the murals of the diamonds. Anne Maria is of course a type of Garnet and oversees a colony under Blue Diamond. Currently, they are both travelling with the first successful forced fusion. This is for its own safety and to test if it is ready to become a part of Gem society. Once it's stabilizer breaks Anne Maria takes an infatuation with Vito causing her to act more rebellious against the diamonds and at some point even fusing with the system much to Staci’s horror.

Anne Maria’s weapon is a bat and Staci’s weapon is a mace.

‘Quick’ explanations for everyone-

Staci’s a hairdresser- She hasn’t quite gotten to owning her own shop yet, but she’s just as happy as long as she can help others see how beautiful they are! She’s made an unlikely friendship with Anne Maria, who shares her profession and love of all things cosmetic.

Brick went off to fashion school after serving in the military for a bit, and has since graduated! He’s more confident in himself, and is trying his best to start his own fashion line. His closest friends from the Roti cast are Anne Maria, Staci, and Dakota, who he talks with often about fashion and hair- Scott, who he’s dating- and Jo, for old times sake.

Scott never fully recovered from Fang’s attack without extra funding and was left with a permanent limp and chronic pain… poor guy. Still, after living on the farm for a few years, he reconnected with Brick at a cast reunion and the two have been going strong since. He’s still trucking despite his disability, and he’s supporting Brick with all he’s got.

Jo never got to open her dream gym, but instead got into nursing. A strange choice for her? Maybe, but she’s good at giving her patients what they need. Oh, and she’s a pro with physical therapy. Despite Lightning’s messiness for a few years, and their initial relationship, Jo and him are pretty good friends now- though that doesn’t stop her from egging him on from time to time.

Dakota’s a professional fighter, while Sam’s a game developer. They’ve been married the second longest, after Zoke, of course. When she’s not killing it in the ring, Dakota’s still quite fashion forward. Her mutation’s been reversed a good amount, but not all the way. It’s unlikely it’ll ever be fully cured, but Dakota’s okay with that. She’s got Sam on her side all the way, after all! As for him, his newest game ‘Groundstory’ absolutely blew up after a great crowdfunding campaign! You’ve probably heard of it.

Anne Maria’s newly single after a messy relationship back in Jersey. She’s crashing with Jo for the time being, so who knows how long that’ll last? Maybe longer than you think… ;) For now she’s working at a hair salon and sharing lots of tips with Staci, while helping Brick with his fashion line, since Scott’s got NO eye for this kinda thing.

Lightning… well, he’s had an interesting journey to get where he is now. For the first few years after winning, everything was great! He was the star of the football team he’d been drafted by, a literal millionaire, and his dad was finally giving him his time! But then… poorly managed wealth is a recipe for disaster, leading to Lightning being dropped by the NFL, his dad disowning him, and a pretty bad drinking and binge eating problem. Only when Cameron intervened was Lightning given any hope of getting better, and he’s on the road to recovery now. They live together, the two comprising a pretty odd couple, but a happy one nonetheless.

Cameron found he liked helping others with their mental health after a bit of trying to figure out what to do with his life, and became a licensed therapist after blowing through college. After a bit of helping Mike and Zoey with their first child, he reached out to a very depressed Lightning and made it his goal to rehabilitate his former competitor. After a few intense years, a few relapses, and an unexpected level of bonding, the two of them now live together, not married- but taking it one step at a time. Cameron’s proud of his boyfriend.

Mike and Zoey got married after All-Stars, and had their first kid at 20. Rosie is the light of their lives, and soon little Enzo will be joining the picture as well. Zoey’s been responsible for every cast meetup since All-Stars ended, and she spends her free time writing about her experiences on reality television. She was Canada’s mom of the year when Rosie was two years old!

Mike, as it turns out, didn’t delete his disorder with the press of a button. Woah. Mike and the gang are multi talented, and each of them have found their passions in different things. Chester’s retired, but the dream of being Miss Canada’s still there. Svetlana hasn’t stopped practicing her gymnastics, and is ready for another go at the Olympics! Vito likes to club, but is surprisingly good with Rosie- besides Mike, he’s her favorite. Manitoba Smith still lives for adventure, and helps Dawn and B in their animal sanctuary when he can. Mal works with Mike at their office job, trolling any employer who gets a little too comfortable in their position. If there’s anything the two of them can agree on, it’s that their boss sucks.

B’s inventions started to earn him a lot of money not long after Roti, but he kept it humble, and helps fund Dawn’s nature sanctuary as one of it’s main supporters. The two of them live happily together, their ability to understand each other when no one else could bonding them for life. B’s working every day to make machines more environmentally friendly, and reduce the carbon footprint of humanity.

Dawn fundraised for years, and with some intense determination on her part, along with some help from B, she finally got to create the animal sanctuary she’d always wanted in the mountains of British Columbia. She works there full-time, surrounded by the nature she’s always loved. At home, she lives with her cat Gaia and her partner B.
