I Saw My Uncle Kissing Santa Claus
"You really gotta tell him man," Tommy hears Howie's voice coming into the kitchen from the hall. He's about to come in, but the answering voice makes Tommy stop.
"I know," Evan says, sounding odd. "I can't keep this a secret for much longer, it will just make things awkward for Tommy. He needs to be prepared for whats to come."
Tommy's brows furrow at that, and his palms feel sweaty all the sudden-
Things were going good between them, slow sure, but better then it was before. Stronger. This is their first Christmas together since their last one was spent apart and Tommy-
Is overthinking.
Tommy steps into the kitchen then and is met with two identical looks of surprise.
He's been caught.
"No time like the present, hey Buck," Howie grins as he claps Buck on the back before walking past Tommy. Howie then winks at Tommy, and any thoughts he had to worry melt away.
"You know you should really be the one to tell him-" Evan starts but Howie interupts him.
"You owe me big time, good luck, thank you!" Howie sing songs before he's stepping out of the kitchen, leaving a pouting Evan behind.
Tommy decides he just has to kiss that pout and Evan smiles against his lips before grabbing at Tommy's waist and bringing him in for a deeper kiss.
"You're-" A kiss. "Stalling."
"Okay," Evan admits. "I have something to tell you, and ah - I guess, I guess ask of you to." He starts, rambling. "And it-it's kinda cute?"
"Cute?" Tommy asks, raises a brow. "What-"
"Jee thinks you're Santa." Evan blurts out and Tommy's eyes widen.
Out of all the things he expected, that wasn't one of them.
"She. Thinks. I'm. Santa."
"Yup." Evan pops the 'p' at the end.
"Um, why?" Tommy asks, and he's leaning against the counter now, confused at the turn of events.
"She has a list," Evan says and he pulls it out of his pocket to present it to Tommy. The piece of paper has Jee-Yun all over it, from the stickers of every genre to the glittery writing. It makes Tommy smile when he looks at it.
"Why Tommy is Santa-" Evan starts and he clears his throat, being a little dramatic.
"One. He flies." Evan starts and Tommy nods his head.
"I do fly-"
"And so does Santa," Evan pokes at Tommy's chest. "Can I continue?" Tommy makes a motion to do so, and Evan lifts the list off again to read it off.
"Two. Tommy took us to see reindeer, and Santa has reindeer." That was true, Tommy knew a guy who worked for the zoo and was on a team that was rehibiliating some reindeer. Tommy had taken Jee and Evan there a few weeks ago.
"Three. He has a long red coat." That one was a stretch, but Tommy wouldn't argue against it. He had a long wool coat for when he camps out in the mountains, and it was indeed red, though it was a more muted shade then he thought Santa would wear. Jee had seen it last week when she had been over for the night with her brother to give Maddie and Howie a night off.
"Four - and this is where it gets cute," Evan says, completely fond of both his niece and his boyfriend. "He has a big smile and he laughs and makes people happy."
"That's sweet," Tommy says, blushing. He ducks his head and Evan steps closer into his bubble, wrapping his arms around Tommy.
"There's more, like how you always remember what kind of gifts people want and ah-" Evan pauses briefly something that happens sometimes whenever their breakup came into the conversation. "You were gone last Christmas, and I think she thought you were busy."
"Being Santa." Tommy huffs, shakes his head. "Better than what actually happened."
They've talked about it, how Tommy threw himself into work to cope with everything. It wasn't healthy, but he's working on it.
Evan nods his head and the hand on Tommy's waist squeezes.
"She still believes," Evan says. "And with the baby this year, I think she feels a little left out. So when they got into Christmas folklore at school, I think she latched onto the idea that you were Santa. It's why she's been so shy today."
"Okay," Tommy nods his head. He gets it. Believing in something when things were a little difficult could get you through hard times. His old man had told him the truth about Santa when he had been young, and Tommy didn't have that little bit of Christmas magic growing up.
"Do you want me to tell her I'm not?" Tommy asks, undure what they should do here. Evan shakes his head then and Tommy relaxes.
"Chimney and Maddie want to talk to her about it, they just didn't want you to think she was ignoring you-" Evan grins. "I think she's trying to be on the good list. I've never seen her room so clean."
Tommy huffs out a laugh at that. He had thought it was a little strange that Jee hadn't come running to them for a hug when they came, but he figured that she was just being quiet for her brother's sake.
"And what list are you on?" Tommy asks Evan, voice low as his eyes dart over Evan. The other man snorts out a laugh then before he pulls Tommy in for a kiss.
"I think I've been on the good list, Santa-" Evan whispers in Tommy's ear.
Tommy tries.
He really does, but he lasts about two seconds before he bursts into laughter. Evan joins him then, and it feels good, laughing with his boyfriend.
"Uncle Buck?" Tommy hears, and he sees the very person they were talking about coming into the kitchen. "Can we play cowboys and princesses and aliens?" She asks and Evan straightens away from Tommy and he gestures as if he's wearing a cowboy hat, tipping it to Jee and the girl giggles in return.
"I reckon the Princess Cowboys have a lot to do before Christmas Evan tomorrow." Evan says in an exxagerated southern accent.
Tommy is completely charmed by him.
"Are you too busy to play Uncle Tommy?" Jee asks and Tommy feels like his heart skips a beat.
That was the first time Jee has ever called him 'Uncle.'
"Yeah, that sounds fun. Can I be a Princess?" Tommy asks and follows Jee and Evan back into the living area.
He prefers Unlce to Santa, anyday.

this AU has been floating around in my head for months where Buck is a dog groomer, and Tommy has a service dog that needs a hair cut
* * *
The sign says closed, but Tommy pushes past into the darkened front office. There's light coming from the back, illuminating the front reception area just enough that Tommy has no trouble seeing. There's some music playing as well, a song Tommy doesn't know well but could hum along to the memory.
There's a tug from his arm, and Tommy scratches at Charlie's ears before bending down to unclip her leash. She isn't on duty right now, but still, she sits at his side, waiting for permission to go.
"Go on," Tommy says with a smile, and Charlie goes off into another room. Tommy follows at a slower pace. This is the third time that Evan has allowed them to come in after hours, and Tommy appreciates how much calmer everything is.
When he gets into the grooming room, Evan is sitting on the ground with Charlie between his legs, giving his dog a lot of well deserved attention. Charlie is on her back, paws in the air, tail wagging enthusiastically as she takes in Evan's attention. Briefly, Tommy entertains his desire of wishing Evan would give him all of his attention as well, but Tommy pushes those feelings aside. Charlie adores Evan, and Tommy doesn't want to take that relationship away from her.
"-the most beautiful girl in the whole world," Evan is gushing, his hands in Charlie's thick fur. He looks up when Tommy comes in, and his smile is just as bright for Tommy as it is for Charlie.
"And how is her owner?" Evan asks and Tommy feels like he has to catch his breath under Evan's attention. "Not the most beautiful girl in the whole wolrd, but I'm okay," Tommy lightly teases and he's rewarded with Evan laughing slightly, the sound warming Tommy up. He looks away, noticing the bandanas hanging up on the other side of the wall. They're all tye-dyed by volunteers for when Evan does free grooming for local shelters to help adopt out some dogs. Evan does a few himself and gives them out to his clients.
He wonders what color Charlie is coming home with.
"Thanks again for the after hours," Tommy says. It's Charlie's fourth appointment with Evan total and her second one after hours, the accomodation more for Tommy then Evan. Tommy tries to make it up to Evan by leaving a large tip that he knows goes straight to the volunteer work anyways.
"It's not a problem," Evan says and he gets up on the floor to the tub. Charlie follows and hops in without further instruction and Evan pets her down on the side, complimenting her again. The rest of the appointment goes with Tommy sitting at the shair while Evan gives Charlie what he calls the "princess treatment" and Tommy smiles at the commentary. Evan takes a few photos for his page and promises to send them to Tommy as well.
All the while they chat about their days, more Evan then Tommy, but it puts Tommy at ease and he appreciates just how easy it is to be around Evan.
Soon - too soon, it's over and Tommy is grabbing Charlie's leash and admiring the beautiul green bandana that Evan had set aside just for Charlie, and he's ready to say leave-
"Hey so, I was thinking," Evan says as he finishes up Charlie's paperwork. "There's this new hiking trail that I've been on a few times, and I think that ah- that Charlie would like it," Evan ducks his head before looking back at Tommy with his bright blue eyes. "And well, you too."
"I like hiking," Tommy says and internally he winces.
Smooth Kinard, real smooth.
But Evan's smile grows and Tommy can't help but return it.

"hate me" + bucktommy pls mwah 😌💖
Buck thought he could do this, see Tommy again and not be angry. But his ex is sitting at the back of the 118 ambulance, getting stitches from Chimney and Buck feels like his blood is boiling.
He should walk away.
Buck should just let it go, let Tommy go away and continue on with his life, just as Tommy wanted.
"Tommy-" Buck growls out, stalking forward. He hears Chimney mumble something to Tommy who is looking at him warily, before he squeezes Tommy's shoulder and leaves them be.
"Buck-" "What was that?" Buck hisses out and Tommy winces, looking away from him and back at what's left of the fire that their stations had both been called to. Buck crosses the arms over his chest and stares Tommy down. Tommy could be stubborn, that wouldn't have changed in the four months that they've been broken up, but Buck was positive he could out stubborn his ex.
"I did what I had to do-" Tommy tries, but Buck isn't having it.
"You got hurt!" Buck exclaims, gesturing to the fresh bandage on Tommy's arm where a piece of beam had fallen on him, going through his turn outs and giving Tommy a nasty gash that needed stitches.
The beam that would have hit Buck if Tommy hadn't pushed him out of the way.
"It happens," Tommy defends himself, but his voice is subdued. Buck huffs, but unlike Tommy who is looking away from him again, Buck takes his fill of the other man. The first thing he notices beyond the obvious injuries and the soot from their fire is that Tommy looks tired. Exhausted actually. The furrow from between his brows looks pained, and the bags under his eyes are dark against his pale skin. He's sharper too, like he's lost some weight.
Buck deflates a little, his righteous anger from earlier dwindling down to the fear he felt when he saw Tommy get downed by the beam.
The man did save his life.
"I'll get checked out at the hospital and go home, sleep it off." Tommy says and he starts to get up and what little color on his face goes away as he wraps his arm around his ribs.
"Sit down," Buck says and Tommy doesn't even fight him.
Sighing, Buck steps forward and gingerly lifts Tommy's arm to inspect what he believes now to be some bruised ribs at the very least.
"You don't have to stay," Tommy says. "No one would blame you. I can go back with my station."
"If you wanted that you shouldn't have risked your life for mine," Buck says, voice snipping. Tommy looks away again and Buck sighs. "I'm sorry-" "Don't." Tommy says, voice steely. "Don't apologize Evan,"
"So it's Evan again?" Buck says and Tommy huffs.
They're at an impasse.
"Look just-" Buck starts at the same time that Tommy says,
"You don't have to care."
Buck blinks, stepping back, and looks at Tommy with wide eyes, hurt by what he just said.
"Of couse I care," Buck says. "You got hurt Tommy, even if it wasn't for me I would still care."
"I'm the one who walked away- you, you shouldn't care about me anymore." Tommy says and his tone is carefully controlled, sounding like it did the last time they talked four months ago.
Buck knows this is how Tommy sounds before he runs away.
"Well if I can't care for you, what should I do?" Buck asks, ducking his head to get a better look at Tommy's expression. Tommy catches it and looks up, and Buck sees the cracks in Tommy's mask.
"Hate me," Tommy says, his eyes shinning. "You should hate me."
"I'm not very good at doing things I'm should," Buck says and he steps into Tommy's space. And in an echo of almost a year ago, Buck gently places his thumb on Tommy's chin and tilts it up.
"I could never hate you Tommy," Buck says gently and when a tear falls he wipes it away.
"Not when I feel the opposite."

“i’m not scared but if you are, you can hold my hand.”
Rocker looks over at Molly then, the other offering her hand, a small smile on her face, she wiggles her fingers and Rocker reaches over, grabs Molly's hand and Molly moves to intertwine their fingers. He breathes easier. They're both sitting on the bathroom floor of Molly's apartment, legs stretched out in front of them with their back to the shower, Molly's phone is on a timer, and Rocker swears he can hear it tick down as if it was an analog. A small piece of white plastic shouldn't be so terrifying. Rocker was a Marine, he is the head of a SWAT team, he's been shot at and even blown up a few times- Why is the idea of possibly being a father so terrifying? "You're thinking really hard there babe," Molly's voice jolts Rocker out of his thoughts and he turns his head to see Molly's amused expression, eyebrow raised as sea glass eyes look at him gently. "Whatever it is, we'll be okay." "You say that like your father would let me live," Rocker says and Molly snorts, shuffling closer and laying her head on Rocker's shoulder. Rocker bends his head to kiss the top of hers. "I'll find your body," Molly promises and that gets a huff of laughter from Rocker, who shakes his head fondly as he wraps an arm around Molly's shoulders. "One minute left," Rocker says, watching Molly's timer go down, the numbers only counting down in seconds but it feels much longer somehow. They've only been together six months, been hanging out a few months more. Rocker never expected this, never thought he could ever feel so happy with someone. Knows that, with whatever happens next when that timer goes off that he's in this for the long haul.
The beeper when it comes, is the only sound in the bathroom, both Rocker and Molly seemingly holding their breath as the wait. "I hope they have your nose," Molly says, breaking the tension. The test still waits, the results out of view for the both of them. Rocker squeezes Molly's shoulders, tries to imagine a future with the two of them and a third person that is a little blurred around the edges, waiting to be known. "I hope they have your eyes," Rocker replies easily, the picture getting a little clearer. They both reach for the test. Together.

rockly + 71 for @2030david
“God, I love you-" Molly blinks, her hand hovering over Rocker's shoulder where she had given her boyfriend an ice pack. Rocker had come back from a hard mission, his body bruised and battered. Tan had said that he had been hit with a truck. "But only lightly," Rocker had joked, before he grimaced and Molly had decided to take him home before he laughed himself into more pain. Now Rocker looks up at her, shoulders tense, and Molly can probably guess what's going through his head. How they haven't been doing this for very long, how they're both still learning each other's baggage and finding their footing. "Yeah?" Molly asks and she sits besides Rocker on the couch, taking in the bruising around the side of his face that is deep in color. He's going to be on desk duty for a while after he's healed up. Her father had been very clear that he wasn't even allowed in SWAT for at least a week. "It's not just addrenaline-" Rocker starts and Molly just stops him, leaning in for a quick kiss. "I know," She says softly as she rests her forehead against Rocker's gently. Closing her eyes and going in for another kiss. "I love you too." Because she does, and has probably had for some time now. She hates that she hasn't said it earlier, hates that she almost didn't get a chance to say it at all. "Next time don't let a truck shake it loose from you Donny," Molly says smiling at the way Rocker's nose scrunches up. "It was only a little hit-" He starts and Molly shoves him away lightly, only feeling a little sorry when he groans.

CAN I REQUEST 16 FOR ROCKLY FROM THE INTIMACY PROMPTS <3 <3
send me a ship + an intimacy prompt from this list
touching noses
Molly comes down from her high, feeling the height of her pleasure fall as she stills her movements, catching her breath. Beneath her Rocker is doing the same, eyes closed and bare chest heaving, his skin flushed. His hands are steady on her waist, the size of them making her feel safe. Rocker had been gentle the whole time, nervous maybe at first, but when they had found their rythm, Molly had felt his confidence and strength, had matched it with her own.
They fell into this place slowly, their friendship becoming deeper, turning into something more.
This just felt like the natural next step.
"You're beautiful," Rocker's voice comes out, a little husky and Molly looks down at him, laid out beneath her on her floral sheets. She's never seen him look so soft before, and she leans down to kiss him again, gentle and with less heat, but no less meaningful. "You are too," Molly tells him and is rewarded by Rocker's bashful smile. She wonders how many people have ever told him that, vows to say it more often. "We should clean up," Rocker says, his hands are on her thighs now, rubbing up and down slowly. They're both a little over stimulated at the moment, but Molly doesn't mind it. "Give me a moment, I want to feel this a little more-" Molly says and she leans down kisses Rocker again and rests her forehead on his, breathing the same breath. Their noses touch and she nuzzles hers against his own, drawing out a huff of amusement. "This was good," Rocker says after a beat, and Molly can hear the nerves again, knows that she has some of her own. "I think- I think we're good like this."
"We are." Molly agrees before kissing Rocker once more.

"I'll keep you safe-"
Molly leans against the doorway, watching as Rocker holds their newborn son, large hands engulfing his small frame, holding him securley. They're both exhuasted, a new born baby keeping them up at night, but Rocker has taken in all in stride, getting up during the night at every cry, soothing their baby so that Molly could get more rest.
He's only been home for five nights, but Molly already can't imagine a life without her boys. "And, you'll get to grow up and be whoever you want to be," Rocker adds, and Molly feels tears come up to her eyes, and she wipes at them, falling even more in love with the man in front of her and the little family they made. "I love you, so much-" Rocker says and he turns then, sees Molly in the doorway and gives her a tired smile. Molly takes her weight off of the door jamb and meets Rocker by the crib. The room is illuminated with the moon shaped night light from Luca, casting them in a soft glow. Their son is deep asleep, blue eyes hidden from view. Gently she takes her finger and brushes at his soft, dark curls. "He knows," Molly says and she reaches up a little, kisses the corner of Rocker's mouth.

Rocker has two grocery bags in his arms, his foot tapping as they go up to his floor on the elevator. Molly catches a glimpse of his profile, catches the way he keeps looking at the digital counter telling them what floor they're on. He looks nervous. Gently, Molly bumps her shoulder into his and Rocker looks away from the digital display and gives her a smile, cocking one eyebrow. "Not a fan?" Molly guesses and she's expecting Rocker to make his usual joke, maybe say something about how it was moving too slow for him, but instead she gets a ducked head as he averts his gaze. "Its more about the space then the location," Rocker admits quietly. "Never been a fan of small spaces." Molly looks around the tiny elevator to Rocker's apartment, an apartment that was on the top floor, and takes it in. They might be able to stretch out their legs sitting down, but as the both of them were tall, it didn't leave a lot of room. At most this elevator could fit four, six if you wanted to be uncomfortable. "We're almost-" The lights flicker then, and Molly feels the moment that the elevator jerks. She moves out her hand to brace herself, but one of Rocker's strong arms wraps around her, grocery bags forgotten in Rocker's
They're shoulder to shoulder sitting on the floor of the elevator. Molly is tucked against the wall while Rocker sits by the door. He's tense, and Molly is doing her best to distract him. "Why did you end up moving here?" Molly asks when the small talk wasn't working. Go in for the big questions when they least expect it, something she's done in the courtroom, something she learned from her Dad. Rocker is quiet for a moment, his head tilted back, resting against the wall with his eyes closed. He's illuminated by the small emergency light, the elevator being dimly lit in an emergency blue. In this lighting, Rocker's features are sharp. "Val and I spent a lot of time on that house," Rocker explains, voice dull, like he's trying not to care. Molly knows her friend well enough to know that when he speaks like this, he's trying to hide that he actually cares a lot. "Renovating it, updating it. I learned plumbing and electric, we had a whole life there." "You gave her the house," Molly says and Rocker tilts his head, opens up his eyes to look at her and Molly can see the pain there. "I didn't want to be in it anymore," Rocker admits. "When she talked about leaving, she offered," He swallows hard, closes his eyes again and Molly shifts closer, feeling his body heart against her own. "I slept in the guest room, packed up the next weekend. Mumford knew a guy, got me this apartment." They're quiet again, the lonely memories they both have sitting inbetween them in the dark. Molly takes her arm and curls it around Rocker's then, intertwines their fingers. She can feel them trembling slightly and she squeezes in encouragement. "I like your apartment," Molly says after a beat. It was small, they were always bumping into eachother in the kitchen and the hall, and the couch barely fit in the living room, but it was warm. "For what it's worth." "Thanks," Rocker says and he smiles at Molly like he knows that this whole thing was a distraction from his nerves. When the elevator sputters to life, lifting them to their destination, Molly helps Rocker up- Their hands remain intertwined till they make it to the apartment.

When Hicks invited the pair of them to join him and JP at their familie's lake side cabin, Rocker knew that he was going to be the odd one out here. It felt like some kind of test, and Rocker didn't want to fail it. Molly was amused by his nerves mostly. They've been together almost a year at this point, and Rocker had met JP a few times, and Hicks has warmed up to him. Mostly. There's an outside shower by the lake, set up past the house, and Rocker decided on an early morning swim, kissing Molly's bare shoulder before carefully untangling their limbs so he could enjoy a swim before they start the day. The water is chilled when Rocker tests it, his breath hitching as he takes it in. The sun has only just started to go up, and he could go back in, snuggle up next to Molly and spend the morning in bed- In hind sight, Rocker really wishes he would have stayed in. The water of the lake was colder then anticipated but Rocker managed a decent swim before he got out, going for the outdoor shower and stripping out of his swim suit, leaving the soacking piece of clothing on the bench outside of the shower. He gets lost in the heat of the water, humming quietly under his breath as he indulges in the sandlewood soap, trying to think of how he could try and get Hicks to warm up to him a bit. Wonders if JP would be willing to go kayaking with him. When the water gets warm, Rocker turns off the water and reaches out of the shower to the bench- His towel is gone. Rocker's swim suit is also gone. "Fuck-"
Rocker frantically looks around the shower, fully aware that he's buck naked, in the middle of the woods without his phone to ask Molly for help. He knows that Molly is still asleep, she likes to indulge when she can, and nothing about JP says he's a morning person. The problem here is with the Commander. Following Deacon's lead, Rocker sends up a quick prayer to whoever could be listening and prays that Hicks is also sleeping in, before he runs out to the back door closest to the shower. Locked. "Fuck, fuck-" Rocker looks left and then right, knows the other door is past a large set of windows from the kitchen and books it across that side of the house, his feet going from dirt to soft grass to the pavement stones of the porch off the kitchen. He's being sure not to trip when he slams into something- Someone. "Damn it-" Rocker closes his eyes then, wishes for the world to swallow him up, as the familiar hoarse voice swears a few times. When he opens them, Rocker is face to face with his annoyed comander, his white robe covered in coffee, looking very unimpressed. Suddenly, Rocker remembers that he is naked. His hands slap in front of him in a poor attempt at modesty. "I forgot my towel." Rocker blurts out, which wasn't really true. He did remember a towel, it had just been misplaced. "Neighbor's dog likes to take things off the bench," Hicks says, voice bored, though Rocker can see the way his eye twitches in the way it always does when he's annoyed. "That's why there's a second bench in the shower." "Noted." Rocker says and they both stand there for a few more moments, Rocker completely exposed and still dripping from the water while Hick's is dripping from his coffee. "Go get some goddamn clothes on." "Sir, yes sir."

Charmed AU because why not
* * *
The ringing in his head had Buck pausing midway through shift. Normally, he could ignore this, he was a Whitelighter who chose to be in a job that meant saving Innocents, these ringings happened all the time.
What he couldn't ignore was how loud it was.
He also couldn't ignore how pained it was.
Buck catches Bobby's eyes from accross the station, and he taps the side of his head, a signal that they developed so Buck could go and take care of his other job.
When he Orbs, he find's that he's not far from the station, still in LA in a part of town that is under consrtuction. There's an old house that's planned to be tourn down soon, and when Buck follows the chime, he finds himself in it's deteriorating walls.
He's not alone.
There's a man, his large figure pressed up against the furthest corner of the room, his knees are drawn up to his chest and his head is bent down, stopping Buck from seeing their face, and his hands are pressed tightly against his ears.
The man is whispering something, his voice pleading - begging almost, for something to stop.
Slowly, Buck approaches and when his foot hits a floorboard that creeks, the man's head snaps up, and Buck is met with frightened blue eyes.
"Go away-" The man says, voice ragged and Buck can feel now, the magic that the man is emitting. Wild and uncontrolled.
He's a witch.
A witch with an active power.
Empath.
In the few years that Buck has been a Whitelighter, he has never come into contact with an Empath before. He's heard the stories, that many witche's struggle with this power, some even binding tehir magic all together to not have to feel everyone around them. The witches that do embrace their ability though, can become formidable.
"I'm here to help-" Buck says gently, and he steps forward. He keeps his mind as neutral as possible, and the man watches him warily.
He doesn't move though, so Buck keeps going.
"It won't stop." The man says, body trembling. "It started and it just-" He tugs at his hair hiding his face again. "I can feel everyone."
"They're tearing down this house soon," Buck tells the man. "I saw the crew outside. They're going to detonate the place, we need to leave-"
"I know." The man says and Buck stops, the realization of what the man was trying to do hitting him fully.
He won't let it happen.
"I'm sorry," Buck says and he waves his hand over the man, putting him into a dreamless sleep. His body slumps forward and Buck goes to kneel by him.
Buck Orbs them away.

when you need me
“Show me the goods.”
“Love you too,” Tommy says, amused. “What makes you think I have anything good to show you? Maybe it was just me who wanted your attention?” He teases and Buck rolls his eyes with no real heat.
“Come on, I need my fill,” Buck pouts and Tommy laughs before he’s reversing his camera and Buck is met with their daughter’s dark curls as she sits on Tommy’s foot with her tiny arms wrapped around Tommy’s leg. She’s giggling the whole time and Tommy lifts up his leg slightly, which brings out a joyful squeal from their little girl.
Buck can’t help but smile down at his phone, not caring how smitten he must look. It wasn’t like the station wasn’t well aware of just how truly gone he was for his family.
In the background he can hear the radio going which Tommy likes to put on as he cleans, Mia must have joined him at some point and decided the best place to be was on her father’s foot.
“I think she’s dancing with you babe,” Buck says warmly.

Hicks watches, slightly amused, as Molly organizes her kitchen mugs, again. The house is as clean as it can be, but Hicks remembers a long time ago when Barbara was going through something similar when she had been pregnant with Molly. His daughter was nesting. He doesn't dare mention that though. He's here to help build the gliding rocker chair that Rocker had ordered from Germany that should have been a here two months ago and not two weeks before Molly's due date. He had offered to get Molly a replacement, afraid that the damn chair would be here after the baby was born, but Rocker had declined the offer, saying that Molly deserved the best and well, Hicks respected him for it. They've come a long way, he and Rocker. At least, thats what Hicks believes. They eat dinners regularly now, and when Molly had given him a mug for his birthday that said "worlds best grandpa" Hicks had only threatened Rocker that once. Or twice. Months later and he can tell that his daughter is over the whole pregnancy. She had taken it with grace and a lot more patience that Hicks knows came from her mother and not him, and she was ready for the baby. "Dad, I got some water for you," Molly says, waddling into the living room. At the height of summer she has on a billowing shirt and linen shorts, her stomach peeking through the buttons that weren't done up. Her hair, longer than she's had for a while is up in a messy bun, the strands free from the hairstyle sticking to her skin in the heat of summer. She's handing Hicks a glass with one hand while the other is braced at the small of her back. "Maybe you should sit down?" Hicks suggests and when Molly's eyes narrow he holds up his free hand in surrender. "Okay, okay, I get it, but maybe you should rest." "I need to have the house perfect," Molly reminds him. The propterty wasn't new, but it was new to both Molly and Rocker who had moved in only a few months ago and were speed running in making it perfect for their upcoming addition. Hicks has been here along with some other members of SWAT to help Rocker fix everything up and help Molly get the nursery settled. Hicks thinks the house has come together really nicely, can see it as a home now. He wishes Barbara would be here for this, knows Molly wishes the same. She wants her mother here, and since she cant be, Hicks is doing his best to be there whenever he can. "It's already amazing," Hicks says gently and Molly's expression softens. "You're baby is lucky." "Dad-" Molly says, tears coming to her eyes. They're quick to come these days, this wasn't even the first time she had cried today since Hick's has been here. They share an embrace and Hicks goes back to the chair while Molly works in the kitchen, rearanging the coffee bar and telling her father all about the page of coffee recipes she's very excited to try after the baby is born. "Molls!" Rocker's voice calls out after the door opens and Hicks watches as Molly lights up when Rocker comes through the door with their lunch. Three bags from three different restaurants, all of them bought to make sure Molly's cravings were met. "Hey-" Rocker greets Molly with a quick kiss, tucking some of her loose hair behind her ear. He leans down to kiss her stomach, the only person allowed to touch it these days. The whole thing is very sweet, and Hicks watches on as the most unexpected man treats his daughter well. Molly starts unloading the food, shifting her weight when she becomes uncomfortable. "Let me-" Rocker says and he stands behind Molly and places his hands beneath her stomach, lifting the weight as Molly leans back. She sighs in relief and Rocker kisses the side of her head. He whispers something in her ear that Hicks can't hear, but Molly nods her head and she smiles at Rocker. "Hey Commander," Rocker says then, not letting go of Molly. "I remembered the extra onions this time." Hicks actually wanted extra mushrooms, but he doesn't say anything.

They're completely secluded here, the small part of the beach private from anyone else. It's a special place to Rocker, a sanctuary when the world is too much, too loud. He never thought he could share it with someone. Molly's face is tilted up to the sun, eyes closed, enjoying the sound of the ocean and the breeze that helps make a moment like this perfect. Rocker kicks up his tail, splashing some water on her. Molly shrieks, opening her eyes and looking at Rocker with wide, eyes. She isn't mad, more so surprised and before Rocker can even react she's launching herself at him, sending them both into the shallow water, her hands going to his sides, where scales meet skin. This time Rocker lets out a loud noise, and Molly bursts into laughter, tickling at Rocker's sides lightly. "You're ticklish," Molly grins. "Big bad predator of the sea is ticklish." "Yeah yeah," Rocker says and he looks up at Molly where she's straddling him, strong legs on either side of his tail. Her white shirt is slightly translucent from the water, and the water droplets shine on her skin. She's more beautiful than any ocean. "Thank you for taking me out here," Molly says as she slides down to lay on top of him. Her legs are in the water with his tail, but her warm skin rests on his chest. They can't stay like this long, the water will start to chill with the sunset, and Rocker runs cold, but for now he just enjoys the moment. "I'd take you out to the whole ocean if I could," Rocker says bringing a webbed hand to move a strand of hair from Molly's face. She leans into his touch, kissing his hand. Rocker feels his whole body flush in response. "Tell me about it," Molly says. And Rocker does.

I'm... stuck, on a differnt fic that I'm writing for a friend, so I'm putting up this drabble to like shake the cobweb
so idk here some buddietommy vampire/witch/werewolf au
***
Eddie comes up to the unassuming cabin, set deep in the woods, and thinks, not for the first time, that what he is doing is possibly the craziest thing he's ever done.
And that was saying a lot in his life.
The reward though? That was what was pushing Eddie to travel hundreds of miles from home with very limited information.
The money was good, almost too good to be true, but Eddie needed it.
He had found the advertisement on a curse breaking forum that he often took to when he needed some quick cash. Hundreds of comments had said that it was a skam, that no one could be foolish enough to believe it.
Some even said it was a hunter's trap.
Eddie could understand the skepticism, he himself felt it as well, how could you not? But the more he thought of it, the more something was just pulling him to the post, to the people asking for help.
Eddie has always had good instincts.
When he reached out via email and hadn't heard anything for a month, and just when Eddie was starting to believe that the whole thing was a hoax, he recieved an email.
It was a simple email. It had coordinates and a reciept for a round trip plane ticket to northern California.
There was no more information, and Eddie probably thinks that they were protecting themselves.
He pulls up the truck, parking it on the rough driveway. The cabin wasn't very large, maybe three rooms total, but it looked well taken care of. The forest around them was thick, the shadows vast throughout, but Eddie couldn't help but admire it's beauty.
Magic hummed through the woods around him and he could feel it dance along his skin, inviting him in.
There's movement near the porch, and Eddie stills, waiting to see who he was dealing with.
Or what.
A man comes out, tall with bright blue eyes and a birthmark kissed on his brow. He looks strong, like he could take Eddie down in a fight, and there was an air of power that sat around his shoulders.
The magic around him was old, and it moved slowly, as if slowed down by time.
Vampire.
Eddie has met them before, had even served with some in the Army, but Vampires had a tendancy to stick around with their own kind.
He braces himself, but the man surprised Eddie by smiling. There's relief clear on his face as he bounds down the stair case towards Eddie, his movements arent rushed or predatory, but instead welcoming.
"You came!" Closer Eddie can see the beinings of the man's pointed canines and feel how old the magic is around his skin. He's old, but not the oldest vampire Eddie has ever met. "I was afriad that maybe you would think this was a skam."
"Thirty thousand dollars feels like a skam," Eddie says, his voice incredulous. "Almost all of the comments was calling you out, some even said you were a hunter."
The vampire winces.
"I didn't want to give too much away," He confesses and despite the light tone of his voice, Eddie can see the hint of desperation in his eyes. "A lot of witches won't help a vampire."
"They have their reasons," Eddie agrees. He watches the vampire for a moment, the air around him is old, but he was frozen in time at the same age Eddie is now. He looks youthful, and the part of Eddie that has kept him alive for so long tells him that depite being a vampire, the man isn't a danger to him in this moment.
"I won't deny that," The man conceeds and he dips his head. "Even coming out here to see if you can do anything to break this curse is something more than I could hope for. I'll give you money for that, I promise."
"You paid for first class tickets," Eddie says. The experience had been surreal but Eddie had enjoyed it. "The least I could do is give you more information on the curse."
His brows furrow as he looks at the vampire and his magic reaches out and curls around... nothing.
"You aren't cursed," Eddie says, confused. The vampire nods his head.
"Yeah ah- my husband is," The vampire explains and his hand goes to his chest, bringing attention to the chain with two gold rings that Eddie had missed earlier.
"Where is he?" Eddie asks, looking around. He doesn't sense anyone else, but he couldn't be sure with vampires. There were stories of some that could completely hide themselves from magic, a cautionary tale for witches.
"He comes and goes," The vampire says. "I can't really- he doesn't listen very well anymore," He says and there is pain in his voice as he says it. "But he always comes back to me, eventually."
The vampire huffs then, and when he looks at Eddie he has the welcoming smile from before. "I feel silly, not knowing your name," He holds out his hand for Eddie then before offering his name. "Evan Buckley," He introduces. "People call me Buck."
"Eddie," He says, giving no last name. He's surprised that Buck had given his fully, there was power in a name, especially with witches.
Buck must actually trust Eddie.
"Well,Eddie, why don't I show you in," Buck says. "If you need to do any spells to feel safe, you're more than welcomed to." He says, and Eddie guesses Buck can feel the enchanted charms in his satchel.
The charm around his neck is the strongest though, blessed by his coven and carries the love of his son.
Even if Buck had wanted to attack him, Eddie could hold his own.
"I made up the guest room," Buck says. "And I went grocery shopping. I wasn't sure what to get-" He laughs nervously as he leads Eddie inside and Eddie just blinks at first. He's never been in a vampire's home before.
He never imagined it would be warm like this.
There's a mattress on the ground in front of the big fireplace, covered in blankets. A small couch sits next to it. There's a TV that looks like it's at least twenty years old and shelves filled with books and movies, all in VHS tapes or DVDs.
The kitchen is homey looking, big enough to actually work around with but nothing modern. Eddie knows some vampires still eat even if they don't need to, he wonders if Buck is one of them.
Buck shows Eddie to his room. It's small, but the bed looks clean and comfortable and he sets down his bags and follows Buck back out.
"I know your husband isn't here," Eddie starts. "But I wan't to know what we are dealing with." He says and Buck nods his head. They sit at the small breakfast nook and Buck gives Eddie a bottle of water that he accepts.
"How old is the curse?" Eddie asks, its the first thing he learned about breaking curses. You need to understand the power of the curse and the age of it. Curses festered like a wound, the older it was, the harder it was to get rid of.
"Twenty four years, eight months, 11 days," Buck says and Eddie's eyes widen and Buck's smile is self depricating. If the curse was this old, he had to know how impossible this might be.
"Buck-" Eddie starts, and stops. He's struggling for words, this is something that could be too big for him.
"I know-" Buck sighs, and Eddie can see how this has weighed on him, how even if his body hasn't aged, his soul has. "I'll tell you anything you want. Whatever you need you can have."
"I can't promise you anything," Eddie has to clarify, he wouldn't feel right if he didn't.
"Its still more hope then we've had in a few years now," Buck smiles saddly. "I appreciate your honesty. We've had a lot of false leads. They've taken our things and run, but at the end of the day, that doesn't matter to me. Wealth isn't an issue."
"Where is your husband?" Eddie asks and Buck looks outside the window, searching for something. Whatever he sees makes him smile though and Buck stands and gestures for Eddie to follow him. They go to the back porch where Eddie can really see the great vastness of the forest around them.
"He probably heard you coming up the road," Buck explains. "Stay on the porch though just in case. Some days are good and I know he's there, but if he's not-"
Eddie nods, understanding that there's some danger here.
There's movement in the trees, something big and Eddie doesn't know what to expect but there's a few spells at the tip of his fingers, ready to protect himself.
"Hey beautiful-" Buck says softly and the shadow comes closer, and it parts the foliage as it does.
It's a wolf.
Eddie was not expecting a werewolf.
As the wolf steps closer, Eddie takes a step back. It's massive, with dark fur and blue eyes. His head bowed is easily at Eddie's shoulder and he can feel the magic coming off of him.
The curse is twisted in it, an ugly feeling that is intertwined deeply with the werewolf's own magic. It's dark and ugly, angry. Whoever cursed him was angry.
"Tommy?" Buck asks, and Eddie can see that's hes bracing for himself for something, and Eddie thinks back on some of Buck's previous comments, sees the two rings around Buck's neck-
The whole picture is coming together.
It's a bleak one.
Tommy stops, and he sniffs at the air, looking every bit the apex predator that he is. The forest around them was completely silent, and Eddie held his own breath.
Tommy steps forward and touches his nose to Buck's outstretch hand.
"Hey you," Buck says and he sounds so happy as he pulls Tommy's head into a hug, scracthing behind his ear and kissing his snout. "You came just at the right time. We have a guest."
Tommy woofs softly, pushing Buck away with his nose to get a look at Eddie.
"He's my Tommy," Buck says to Eddie, and gestures him to step forward. "Tommy, this is Eddie, he's going to try and help us."
Eddie holds out his hand like Buck did earlier, palm up, and Tommy lays his large snout in his hand. Looking in his eyes, Eddie sees a lot of pain and worry there, but he also sees a little bit of hope, the same that he can see in Buck's.
"You're stuck like this, aren't you?" Eddie guesses and Tommy slowly blinks his eyes while Buck pets at his neck.
"For almost twenty-five five years now," Buck says, voice thick and Tommy turns from Eddie and pushes his head into Buck's shoulder, and whines saddly.
"At first I got to have him again on the full moons," Buck says. "We had some hope, traveling around the world, trying to find anyone who could break the curse, but then the last few years, he hasn't been able to change back."
"I'm loosing him," Tears fall from Buck's eyes. "I don't know how much we have until he's gone completely."
Eddie understood then, that he was their last hope.

Sometimes Buck thinks that telling Tommy the truth would end up positively.
They've only been seeing eachother a few months now, but as far as Buck can see, Tommy is bothered by very little. Unfazed.
Cool.
Buck will tell him about past calls, about sharks on the freeway and worms in people's head. Tommy takes it all in stride, grinning when Buck gets really into the details, but the shock never seems to be there long. If anything, the most shocked Tommy has ever looked was when he invited him to his sister's wedding.
So maybe Buck thinks Tommy could handle the whole "being struck by lighting gave me super powers and now I fight crime," part of himself. Maybe Tommy would embrace that side of him.
Buck is also so scared that his secret will chase Tommy away.
