TRAIN STAN! he isn't limited to tracks and can fly

He can go anywhere

He has as many cars as he wants

He can change what the cars are

Need food? Food car!

Need sleep? Bed car!

Only thing he needs is the front one

(I don't know what the cars are called)

Hmm. Hmm.

Stan the crime infinity train here.

Somehow got got for some kind of magic getaway vehicle for some supernatural crime syndicate that planned to use his soul to power their getaway train. Too bad they messed up some of the enchantments and now Stan's on the loose! He's flying around, chugging away! Going places no train has gone and desperately trying to not be a train before it uses up his soul power and he stops existing.

Starts by just using his train power to get away, then starts stumbling upon wandering vagabonds, feels bad, gets train cars going for beds and food, drops them off. Starts becoming the infinity train here except its giving homeless kids someplace to lie low for as long as they're willing to ride. Maybe learns he can sustain himself for longer from their own grateful soul energy?

Now there's the ghost train. It follows no tracks or any route, but it always has a bed and a warm meal for anyone who's lost on the road. There's no conductor, and the engine blazes with a golden light (Stan's soul). And its.. not a bad existence, giving all these kids a ride, hearing their stories, chugging along, seeing the sights. Glides over the ocean, sees some pretty cool things, gets some repeat passengers, some not. Eventually gets his own 'rest stops' going, places that, at some point if you're lucky, he'll slow down, stop, and kids can get on or off, depending on how they're feeling. Gets a system going to take requests, and now he's taking runaways to distant relatives (or away from them), reuniting kids who got lost with their families, or giving people a place to call their own for a while.

Maybe stays like this for a few years, and he's actually pretty happy? With his train life now? He's got a dedicated 'staff' of kids that grew up on his train, help the new kids adjust, spread the word about the Runnaway Train, maybe has a 'car of fame' where he figures out how to hang up pictures of all the kids who've gotten on. He's everyone's uncle train guy, they know something controls the train but not who or why, just that it likes jokes, has a sense of humor, and is pretty lax on the rules as long as no ones causing too much chaos. People have rarely been kicked off the train (and a few people have been run over), and there's a car for anything they might need, as long as they ask (and plead, and beg and offer Stan entertainment in the form of stories or fight rings. He's still Stan after all, he loves to watch kids fight)

Then one day Stan's soul starts to flag. He was never meant to last this long after all, just some poor guy who got snatched for his soul and managed to run off before they tied him down and managed to prolong his existence by being a semi decent caretaker.

The trains slowing down, and his passengers are desperate to save him. Start looking into magic, learn that the giant glowing golden fire thats been getting dimmer is a soul, and they need to figure out how to boost it if they don't want their train uncle to snuff it.

Along comes Ford! Some kid who loves cryptids and ran away from home to hunt monsters (and away from their own) knows a scientist who studies this! They'll just kidnap him, get him to look after Engiy (or whatever name a bunch of homeless kids came up with for Stan), get the guy to fix their train home, and voila! Problem solved!

Well Stan does love crime and kidnapping is a crime so sure. Why not. Lets go to Oregon! He's always loved riding around here, feels good (Stan got trained before he learned Ford moved there perhaps?)

Chugs along to Oregon, follows his kids directions to Fords house, stops right in front of it, then do do do's making a kidnap car do do do while his kids break into Fords house and drag him kicking and screaming in confusion then follow him when he catches sight of the train on his lawn when he scrambles to climb on and figure out its whole deal.

Stan gets one look at Fords grinning face and slams his soul engine shut. No way is he letting Ford poke around like some kind of messed up mechanical soul doctor. Not happening, not his brother. Lets find someone else maybe?

There is no one else.

Ford gets to ride his brother train and gets slammed with guilt at looking at and hearing about all these homeless kids lives, how the train saved them, how its their home, how its dying and if Ford can't fix it they'll have nothing.

Doesn't he know how hard it is for kids who get kicked out or run away? Especially if they never graduated, have no other family, only have themself to rely on? So many things can go wrong, so many kids can get taken advantage of. Some of these kids grew up on this train, its all they have, and if it goes they'll have no documentation to make it back in the real world. They love their train, they take good care of each other.

This train existed only after Stan got kicked out. Ford knows, he's heard of it before.

There's no way Stan would have gotten a chance to ride.

Then Ford learns to be a magic train mechanic while Stan the magic train becomes the most uncooperative patient ever. He makes all the locks funky, never does as Ford asks, makes all his meals bland and tasteless. He loves Ford but Stan's sorta.. moved on? He has his family of kids and they need him and thats the only reason he hasn't kicked Ford out for looking at him like a mystery to be solved and not a living train with feelings.

How does it end? Does Ford find evidence of Stan in the engine? Maybe the Stanley Mobile license, or pictures of them? Does he find an alternative fuel source, finds a way to boost the soul and never knows that's his brother? Does he realize the train is actually killing the soul, and they work to pull it out to save it, and out pops Stan, shaky at being a person again and tired from being a train for years? Who knows!

SOUTH PARK X HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON AU This is south berk! a south park au set in a mix of the httyd first second and third movies! Now heres an extremely long winded explanation of the lore ive come up with so far :D

Dragons have been integrated into viking society to the same degree as work horses, and while the vikings care for them they arent protected or treated nearly as well. A big point in the AU's story that shows the difference is in Stans lore. Stans dad Randy is chief of berk- he leads the growth of berks main agricultural source, their weed fields. Vikings on Berk arent allowed to travel beyond the outer isles for fear of raiders and foriegn dragons and disease. Berks main food source is fish, and the dragons on Berk are almost exclusively fed fish as to not deplete the islands limited vegitation and livestock. HOWEVER On Stans tenth birthday he was gifted a Monsterous Nightmare- which he named Sparky- and had snuck out with that same night to go flying with Kyle who had already been given a dragon. (Kenny and Cartman had also been riding on the back of Kyles dragon) The group flight didnt last long though as Stan out paced the others by leagues on his fully grown dragon. They raced high and low, getting closer and closer to the outer isle border when they had been overtaken by a flying horde of dragon, many of which Stan didnt recognize. Stan fully lost control of Sparky and while trying to regain his attention they were suddenly taken from below by Shelly - Stans sister. Her own Monsterous nightmare began to wrestle with Sparky as Shelly commanded Stan come home. Stan and Shelly argued as their dragons fight became vicious, and without warning Sparky bit out the throat of Shelly's dragon. In a panic Stan tried to pull Shelly onto Sparky, but Sparky lunged for her after letting her dragon fall. Shelly pushed away from Stan but too late, as she and Stans left leg were crushed in Sparky's mouth.

Stan fell as Sparky flew to rejoin the dragon horde, and awoke on his fathers ship. The grief of losing Shelly affected both of his parents and eventually Stans mom passed away, and Randy grew colder and over protective. Stan never learned to ride and isnt allowed into the dragon training or fighting classes. He mostly attends meetings and agricultural lessons. Kyle on the other hand excelled with his dragon, a deadly nadder he named Wendy. Coming from a prestigious family he and Stan grew up extremely close. He joined the scouting party that reports dragon sightings as well as hunts for game and scavenges for food. Kyle is also an extremely talented inventor and creates weapons- like his flame sword- and prostetics! He is particularly focused on Stans leg and creates a new joint for him to try every other week. He also takes Stan on scouting missions when they can slip away without Randy's notice.

He likes to decorate wendy with bells and ribbons cause shes his girl. Cartman also joined the scouts, however it had nothing to do with an affinity towards his dragon. Cartman was told from a young age that a dragon ate his father before they had been tamed to work alongside vikings, and so has never had a gentle hand or understanding of them. Infact, Cartman grew to be big and concerningly strong, and was assigned to the scouts simply for his ability to throw a mean axe. He had gone through many trails with dragons but wasnt able to tame or bond with one till he met a sweet Gronkle that was the only dragon able to tolerate him. He initially named it proffessor chaos however when he realized it would respond to any variation of the name- specifically professor gay-ass, by Kenny- he changed its name to Butters. Cartmans favorite food.

Butters is a weak flyer and shoots the smallest fire balls any one has ever seen a gronkle produce. Kenny’s father and mother are fishermen, a job thats considered low work. Fishermen create their homes on the boats they sail out on, however children are not allowed out to sea. Because of this Kenny lives alone with Karen in a fishermans shack except for one week out of the year where his parents fully dock- during yule and the new year. When Kenny was ten his older brother, Kevin, stole a ship and sailed off beyond the outer isles. Kevin and Shelly had been dating, and after her death Kenny assumed Kevin left to find and slay Sparky. He never came back, and his crime brought shame onto Kenny's family. To make money Kenny mixes and sells medicine, as well as doing healing work on both dragons and people. To collect herbs and also to goof off he rides along with Kyle and Cartman while Karen is in school.

Karen is sweet and gets along with dragons easily- however she has the unfortunate tendency to take in injured strays. Her favorites being terrible terrors. Jimmy rides on her back as his hind legs are crippled. Tolkien is a particularly pretty dragon who never learned to fly. And Clyde is dumb. Lastly the story picks up when the New Kid arrives. New kid is from a wandering group of religious dragon trappers. This group worships a Queen dragon they ride on the back of. This queen allows them to build homes on her back functioning as a roaming island as long as they keep her fed. The cult makes sacrifices to her, mostly dragons they catch, and occassionally their own followers. The trappers also eat dragons they catch, as well as fish, and no part of the dragon goes to waste. The cult wears dragon skins, giving them an effective armor- and use different gases and venoms from different species. The New Kid joined this cult along with his parents as a child. He rarely participated and kept his head down reading books on dragons he had traded for and filling in his own dragon journal. Till it was his parents turn for sacrifice. In exchange for his parents lives the New Kid offered to catch worthy dragons to take their place and sailed on his own. He had followed the sound of thunder hoping to come upon a large dragon when he was caught in a storm and nearly drowned. That was until he was plucked from the sea by a Night fury. The New Kid assumed the Night fury had mistaken him for a dragon based on the skins he was wearing and carried him to a cave it shared with a Light Fury. The Light Fury was obviously sick and anxious and seeing that the Night Fury wouldnt leave him, the New Kid captured them both injuring the Night Fury's tail in the process making sure he couldnt fly away. When he returned to the cult the New Kid offered the exchange, but to his horror his parents refused and were willingly eaten by the queen. The cult leader accepted the dragons and promised to use them for a greater purpose, and had assigned the New Kid to sail out the next morning to continue hunting for Furies. In the night, the New Kid stowed away with the Light Fury's help- which he named Tweek- half carrying the Night Fury and the new kid directing his remaining tail wing. They crash landed on Berk, and were spotted by Kyle, Cartman, Stan and Kenny. Tweek bonded with the New Kid and is the only human he allows near him. However the other dragon, which Karen names Craig, barely tolerates him.

The New Kid is hiding where he came from along with the fact he is the one who messed up Craigs tail. Hes working alongside Kenny to heal Tweek and build a new tail for Craig with Kyle. He stays near the dragons and feeds them, at the same time of filling out his own journal of dragon knowledge hes been collecting. The only person Craig seems to not hate is Stan, and the two are slowly getting along, though Stan is wary of dragons and Craig is wary of humans.

all of this while hiding the new kid and the furies existence from the chief and village! what could possibly go wrong. If you read to the end of this i love and appreciate you!! There’s something to be said about how Stanley Pines was treated his entire life as a lesser echo of his brother.

Stan was the failure. He had no value. He was never told he could thrive on his own, so he never tried. He balanced the weight of his dreams on remaining at Ford’s side, and when Ford revealed he had other plans, he spiraled. He lost his home, tried desperately to make a name for himself while spinning from identity to identity, losing more and more of himself as time went on. After years of running, his brother finally reached out to him again and Stan grabbed onto that lifeline, only to realize Ford didn’t want him to stay. Ford wanted Stan to do something for him. That was all.

Stan would never be anything without Ford. He would never be anything more than Ford. He took his brother’s identity while sacrificing decades of his life, but it wasn’t much of a life anyway, so what was there to lose?

Ford returned, and didn’t even thank him.

Stan had done all of that for nothing. His brother looked him in the eye and (from Stan’s perspective) decided he deserved nothing.

Stanley Pines deserved nothing because Stanley Pines was nothing.

And yet, at the end of everything, when everything else was lost, the world was saved.

Not because Stan pretended to be Ford, fulfilling his role as echo and shadow and double.

No.

Because, in that moment, Bill made a deal with Stanley Pines. The conman, the grunkle, the failure. The defender.

Stanley Pines, who would always protect his family, even if it meant sacrificing himself.

Stanley Pines, who was so very valuable, after all.
