Headcanons - Ethan Morgan

- is bisexual with a strong preference for woman but also asexual.

- is as autistic as they come he is riddled with it.

- major T-boy swag dresses in the most bizarre loser looking outfits but rocks all of them.

- is scared of bugs, especially spiders and makes people catch them for him.

- has more allergies than anyone on the planet.

- pays extremely good attention to his friends interests and likes so that he can make them subtly happy (he sends Benny pictures of witchy looking things he sees when he’s out and Rory gets pictures of cats).

- thought he was going crazy when he first started having visions.

- is really good at art but gets embarrassed showing it off so no one knows.

- was a little scared Rory would impulsively bite him when he was first turned.

- sometimes gets visions about his friends lives but doesn’t bring them up unless there in danger because he feels guilty for invading their privacy.

- cries when his favourite characters die.

Although Spoiler also has a cool name, and okay maybe Black Bat was never robin but she’s just so awesome! oh and have you guys been keeping up with Batwing?

An: I myself am trans, autistic, and diagnosed with OCD and anxiety. I would not write or headcanon characters with traits so serious without personal first hand experience with them.

Summary / warnings: Some Ethan Morgan hcs, Benny and Ethan relationship fluff, mentions of anxiety, ocd, autistic traits, and gender dysphoria.

Ethan was very young when he first felt he did not belong in his own body

Benny was the first to know about Ethan’s transition

Ethan started testosterone treatments during middle school

When Ethan was first transitioning Benny let Ethan borrow any and all of his clothes

Ethan was diagnosed later in middle school with autism

Benny is the only person Ethan feel completely comfortable with fully unmasking around

Ethan is hyper sensitive to bright lights and loud and sudden noise

Benny carries Ethans noise canceling headphones around in his satchel bag

Ethan has a bad habit of stimming by chewing on everything and anything he can get in his mouth

He chews on pencils at school, his headphone wires, the inside of his mouth, his jacket strings, Benny’s jacket strings (not that Benny minds)

Ethan does not like being alone

His anxiety keeps him up at night and makes it hard to sleep so he ropes Benny into sleeping over any chance he can

Benny is very understanding and accommodating of his best friend

Benny is usually either seen glued to Ethan’s side (of course with some sort of physical contact) or in Ethan’s headphones on call with him

Ethan is very touchy but can’t say he enjoys when other people show him physical affection

Benny and Jane are the only two that can show physical affection without Ethan trying to wiggle free of it

This boy loves his little sister. Jane was pretty young when Ethan was transitioning but she just saw him as her sibling who used to play Barbie’s with her who now plays the Ken dolls with her

Ethan sleeps funny. He either sleeps nicely tucked in his bed or twisted in some uncomfortable looking position he swears is comfortable, on the couch

Ethan chews on Benny and his stuff (Benny got used to it)

This boy hates when he can’t wear his comfort jacket

His nails and cuticles are chewed the hell out of

Author’s note: I can’t believe I haven’t done this—OMG, sorry it took so long! Some of these are relationship wise,some of these are in general.<3

• Bisexual with a preference for guys (especially Benny, let’s be real).

• Not really the type to have a “type.” I feel like he’d love having a girlfriend/boyfriend who isn’t part of his friend group, just for the intimacy of the relationship.

• Whiny. He loves to complain and be pitied,especially by you. Whether it’s about school, Benny acting like an idiot, or the monsters he had to fight off.

• Yapper but also a great listener. He loves hearing you talk, but once he’s comfortable around you,he literally will not shut up.

• He would eat up matching Halloween costumes.

I could totally see him in any of the following: Mavis and Johnny,Wybie and Coraline, and absofuckinglutely Astrid and Hiccup.

•Also could see his gender envy/trans awakening as a kid be Hiccup. 

• We all know the boys wouldn’t really be invited to parties, but I also don’t think Ethan would enjoy them,not as much as Benny anyway.

He much prefers small get-togethers: playing board games, watching movies, or going out to dinner.

• Remembers every little detail about you.

• Doesn’t sleep well due to being a Seer. He has frequent visions and nightmares, which makes him dread going to bed.

• Huge film nerd. Will absolutely psychoanalyze your favorite movies.

• Favorite would probably be coming-of-age films. 

• Doesn’t like gory horror. It gets under his skin. But he will watch old, outdated horror movies—those don’t seem as scary to him.

• Secret guilty pleasure movie wise would be animated Tim Burton movies,halloween movies for kids (halloween town,hocus pocus etc) and romcoms.

• Struggles with separation anxiety,which makes going to school on days when Benny cant come horrible for him.Also struggled with this as a kid when it came to his family,only started sleeping in his own room around eight.Still sleeps with the door open and his parents always leaving the light in the hallway on.

•Astronomy nerd,has a little planets hanging from his ceiling.

• I once saw someone on TikTok say that the episode where Ethan sees everyone as dead reminded them of their experience with Capgras delusion, which I found really interesting,someone who has experienced paranoid hallucinations myself.

•He has a secret blog (he’s just like usss) where he posts wild supernatural theories and creature sightings.

i do!!! | same note as before - some of these are actual headcanons, some line up with my canon.

he's ftm and he doesn't have much bodily dysphoria, but he has really bad social dysphoria. technically he goes by he / him but he / they is more than allowed, but basically nobody uses those for him because whitechapel is crazy transphobic.

he's also left handed. which isn't important at all it's just a random thing.

ethan scrunches up his nose when he smiles or laughs and he's self-conscious about it so he covers his face a lot when he's happy.

he has general anxiety but also pretty bad separation anxiety. also ocd and hypersomnia !!! he sleeps a lot.

he's kind of super tone deaf. no clue how he pulled off the muse-a-tronic stuff but he did.

literally obsessed with flowers and romantic stuff but he's so bad at being romantic. if you give him flowers his brain will shut off.

he passes out so often because he's anemic !!! also he has white coat syndrome and that's why he's so scared of needles and blood and stuff.

he's shy as all hell but also he's kind of meaner than erica when he wants to be. he's sassy as shit and always has comebacks locked and loaded.

huge space hyperfixation, like, most of his room is space themed. and so is his computer. and his phone.

absolutely hates dusk because he thinks it's creepy and kind of gross.

he's horrible at anything athletic. if you put him in a hockey rink his legs will start shaking like he's a baby deer. just let him sit on the bench, it'll work out best for everybody.
