i want to write a whole analysis on this but like. just for now. i want you all to know I don't trust newt ONE bit. he might not be completely evil but the cute uwu softboy flower loving is SUSPICIOUS when you remember him and Lucas used to be complete mad scientists. ok I feel like the obvious answer is he'd have florals LOL. but we can be more specific

I feel like he'd like. very delicate slightly watercolour-style ones...

I think he could do like a full very soft botanical sleeve or large piece... I don't know if he'd have Loads of tattoos but I can see him having one Big piece with a couple smaller additional ones... probably with Very Specific choices of flowers with specific meanings to him lol, the kind of thing where it looks like just aesthetic choices but he chose them Very carefully for their meanings

BUT I also think he'd work some trash polka or geometric style elements in among them... not as bold as these but that kinda vibe, just more of a fine line style

overall a very delicate and thoughtful aesthetic I think

he'd probably be the type to get some sort of memorial piece as well, coordinates of their old village or smth hidden in one of them, maybe a specific choice of flower to reference that flower shop...

Pangi using his trident against Lukey - leading him to Newt and Newt telling him to think before he acts! Then he disappears and Pangi is in disbelief while Lukey laughs, and Pangi calls Newt overprotective

newt being the only person lukey feels comfortable acknowledging his past with slightly plays into his own subconscious refusing to acknowledge that all those things actually happened.

as lukey said today during his ooc meta talks, newt was there, and thus there is no need for re-explanation, hence why he feels most comfortable actively discussing his past with him, but this poses problems.

because newt was there (however much he could be, at the very least), lukey doesn't need to admit it. newt can meet him in the middle, can bridge the gaps, can understand, but that only means lukey can go longer without acknowledging that everything that happened to him...actually happened.

the closest we've gotten to an actual acknowledgement has been when lukey is backed into a corner, with no other place to go, but that comes at the cost of his own autonomy over his history. because lukey's past, from being an experiment to being a citizen of the kingdom of null, is something lukey holds possessively onto and only shares as an extension of his own personal will and autonomy (something he went a long time without).

but because he's so over-protective of his own history, of his own memories, nobody else knows. he can tell pangi that he can read his books any time, but lukey knows pangi never will, and on the flip side, lukey knows that if he were to suggest aimsey to read his books, there is a possibility they actually will. and that possibility makes him uncomfortable because he doesn't want to share his "burden."

so, for lukey, it's a hell of a lot easier to spare the details (as agonizingly horrible and depressing as they are) and share whatever is "important" (which usually comes down to details for the cure or for the calamities). for lukey, his past isn't something of active concern for outworlders who'd never understand the full extent of everything in the first place. for lukey, a burden shared is a burden re-lived, and he'd rather do anything but re-live them again.
