fandom artist appreciation post! part 1/?

The TSC fandom has SO many really talented artists that I feel deserve a shoutout, so I'm going to talk about them and their styles here.

First is of course my lovely recently-acquired collab partner @hanelizabeth, who's been illustrating my fic (and whose art I've been ficcing.) Her style is so adorable and bright, and I love all of the colour palettes she chooses. They're bright and joy-inspiring. Also all the characters have a cartoony vibe that makes me so happy, and their expressions are somehow both simple and complex at the same time.

Another amazing fan artist who draws in a cartoon style is @agnes-draws! Her Thomastair art is some of the best out there, and she puts so much care into every piece. I think she's one of the few people who captures the magic of their love in her art, and I love the expressions on all the characters and how distinctive they are.

I'd also be remiss not to mention @chibi-tsukiko, whose art has an almost faerielike ethereal quality. It's soft; it's cozy; it makes me feel like I want to cozy up in a blanket with her art printed on it in front of a fireplace. I love her digital brushwork a lot.

@allarica is one of my all-time favourite artists, which is why I commission her A LOT. She did my Thomastair header and my profile pic Matthew, and I have a ton of her art on my walls! Because I picture anime when I read, her art is the closest I've seen to my mental vision of the characters, and I love how detailed it is. I feel like the pictures are straight from my head!

Finally, I have to mention the wonderful @camisala01-art whose portraits of Matthew, Alastair, and Thomas are on my car bumper. Her art is so lovely and I especially like how she combines both dark and light color palettes to great effect. Her art also feels somehow both charmed and animated as well as realistic, and it's a blend of styles that REALLY works.

Happy New Year to all of you🌲You know I've hardly ever posted anything on Tumblr in 2024. That's because this year was full of events such us:

I graduated from university, i moved back to my parent's house, WE BOUGHT A FLAT FOR ME☝️and now we're trying to deal with all this bullshit like finding building team, buying everything for kitchen and bathroom WHICH COSTS WAY MORE THAN WE EXPECTED😭

But~ I've decided that I'll never turn into a boring adult 😤I created a YouTube channel where I post about kpop + I've already finished preparations for one TUMBLR project: ☝️I'm planning to make header packs for EVERY TSC SHIP☝️

And it just brings me so much joy, being creative and talking to you. My job is nice but it exhausts me. And what im doing for fandoms gives me inspiration and powers🌱

Please take care of yourself, no matter what, DO NOT forget to pay attention to your health, do what your love, remember about your family and friends, WALK MORE, JOIN A GYM, educate yourself, read more!!!!
