all i can think about is conrad bringing home bimbo!reader. like everyone knows belly likes conrad but he sees her as a sister so belly’s being rude and asking snide backhand comments but she’s not realizing it and actually thanking and answering belly with a smile. so now everyone realizes she’s not the smartest person but susannah LOVES her! (and connie baby is looking so happy and proud 🥹)!!! i’ve been looking for one like this but i can’t find it and can’t stop thinking of it!!!!!

To be honest, no one expected Conrad to have a girlfriend like you. Everyone said that you were far from his type, you weren't dumb - you were just slow and doesn't know certain types of words or slangs. For Conrad, you were one of the most smartest person that he knew, well basically because he got to know you. You don't really show it but you have so much potential especially when it comes to fashion and make-up! a plus is that you are really good with art.
About his type, they always thought that it would be Belly and Conrad that would end up together, knowing that Belly is literally in love with him ever since they were kids, before you happened, they had a special bond - a bond that to the point where they were just inseparable, Belly thought that it was something so beautiful, It was her dream to be with Conrad.
Not until she knew that he had a girlfriend, and that he just treats him like a sister and nothing else.

Conrad's Pov
"Connie, you should bring that girlfriend of yours here sometimes!" Mom exclaimed, happily. Ever since I brought Y/N here, she was all mom asked from me, even her and Jeremiah instantly clicked. You can say that amongst the girls that I have been with, Y/N is surely my mom's favorite.
I smiled proudly, "I'll try, Mom. She's busy and I don't want to interfere with her personal life, but I'll ask. I'm sure she'll say yes especially if it's your request" I rubbed my mom's shoulder, she nodded.
She stood up and walked towards the kitchen, "Well tell me when she's coming so I can invite the Conklin's too, I'm sure her and Belly will get along really well." I just hummed and nodded. I pulled out my phone and sent a text to Y/N asking if she can come here for dinner, she immediately responded saying yes. I smiled.
I saw my mom's figure come into the living room, I looked up - smiling at her, she tilted her head looking at me confused, "Well, it looks like you favorite girl is coming" I said giddily. My mom squealed, "Omg! I am so excited, I will cook her her favorite!" she said before going to the kitchen, to list down foods that she know's Y/N will like.
───────────────────────────
FEW DAYS LATER
Y/N's Pov
"Mom! We're here!" Conrad yelled, his hand rubbing your waist gently. You saw Susannah walked towards us, she went up to me and hugged me "Oh gosh! You're finally here, I missed you" she cooed, pulling away - placing her hands on your face gently. You smiled, looking at her "Oh Susannah, I missed you too! Here I got you your favorite" You said, handing her the dessert that she liked. She gasped, and grabbed it from you gently "Oh you didn't have to!" she said, pouting a little. You shook your head "It's okay! I wanted to" You smiled before looking up to Conrad who was already looking at you - smiling lovingly.
Jeremiah came into the view, walking towards you - pulling you in for a hug. "Hey, you!" he said, smiling. "Hi, Jere" I looked at him, smiling. "Looking good as always" he said, twirling me a little bit. It wasn't anything that was awkward between you and Jeremiah, even Conrad doesn't find it awkward. Ever since Conrad brought you here for the first time, you and Jeremiah just had that sister & brother bond.
You felt Conrad hand on your waist, "Baby, this is the Conklin's. This is Steven, Belly, and Laurel. You already know who they are since I did talk about them to you." Conrad said - smiling, turning you gently to face the Conklin's. You saw Laurel smile at you before walking towards you for a hug, "It is nice to finally meet you" she said, before pulling away. You saw Steven wave while Belly was just there, looking at you up and down, but you just chose to ignore it and just smiled at her.
After a while, you all went to the dining room to start eating. "Here you go, sweets. Eat lots yeah?" Conrad said, grabbing food for you - placing it on your plate, you heard Belly scoff "What? you got no hands? can't get your own food?" she mocked you, you looked at her confused. Steven nudged her with his elbow "Belly, stop it" he said, you looked around, all of them were looking at her, Susannah had a stern look on her face. Belly rolled her eyes, groaning "Calm down you guys, it was a joke!" she said, looking at you smiling, Susannah sighed "That wasn't a good joke, Belly" she said, reaching for you gently. Belly looked at her and said sorry. You just smiled back nodding, going back to eating your food.
You felt Conrad's hand on your thigh, you placed your hand on top of his - you felt his hands lock in with yours. You looked up and saw him give you a reassuring smile, you nodded and smile, telling him that you were okay. "So Y/N.. what is your major?" Laurel asked, you furrowed your brows, not familiar with the word until Conrad whispered to you "It’s what you do in school, baby" he said smiling, Belly chuckled - not believing what she just saw "Oh! Uhm I major in fashion design!" you exclaimed happily, smiling at Laurel. She nodded before smiling at you "Well It is obvious, just look at what you are wearing." Belly said, looking at you up and down, "Isabella." Laurel warned her, grabbing her arm gently
you smiled - thinking that it was a compliment. "Thank you!" you said, looking at Belly - she just looked at you like you were crazy which made you shrug you shoulders - looking at Conrad. He was looking at them, his brows furrowed. You felt his hand tighten around your thigh, you placed your hand above his - rubbing it gently, He looked at you - his gaze softened, he smiled.
After you guys were done with dinner, Conrad decided to walk you around the house. You guys were now at the back of the house, at the pool with your feet's dipped in it. Conrad reached for your hand, caressing it gently "Sorry for earlier, darling. I'm sorry for not defending you or saying anything to Belly" he said, before tucking a strand of your hair behind your ear. You turned to him, brow furrowed, shaking your head "Why are you sorry? nothing happened earlier, Connie. I am okay, whatever they said didn't hurt me okay? I'll try my best to get along with Belly." you said, smiling still unaware of Belly's action.
Conrad eyes softened "Oh my love, you are too kind. Sometimes it scares because then people will try to get advantage of you" he paused, caressing your face "but it's okay, i'll be here yeah? I'll defend you and I will stay right by your side, always so don't worry about getting along with her. You don't have to do that, baby. Just think about mom and everyone else, they absolutely love you." he said, before pulling you in for a kiss.
Conrad is just deeply in love with you, he doesn't care what other people think as long as you are there beside him. He was just high over heels, he absolutely adores you and treasure you, he wouldn't ask for more. He just felt like the luckiest guy to have someone like you.

ALWAYS | c.cameron
pairings : camcameron x reader
summary : cam needs comfort after a breakup with readers best friend, bellly.
warnings : none
notes : we need more camcameron content, i also need some ideas on what to write for him 🤭
your bike lay silently discarded beside the familiar one, forgotten as you finally spot the boy you came here to search for sat alone on the rocks. he was too busy looking out the sea that he didn’t even turn around at the sound of your shoes scuffing the ground beneath you.
so in turn for his silence you didn’t speak up either, but instead took the uncomfortable seat beside him on the blanket he had thrown down. you ignored the blunt feeling underneath you and instead stared out at the water.
“you’re here?” his tone showed genuine shock at your presence — even though he had asked for it. you turned to meet his gaze, expecting sadness but there was no traces of the feeling anywhere on him.
he was your cameron. the awkward, slightly nerdy, boy that you had liked since you met a few summers ago when you came to visit cousins like you always had. back at the age when you no longer wanted to hang out with your family so instead made friends with the future marine biologist.
“you called me.” you shrugged as if that was the perfect explanation, because to you it was, “are you okay? i know you liked belly..” you trailed off, unsure on how to start this inevitable awkward conversation.
belly didn’t know about your crush on cam, and if she did she would have never went on that date with him in the first place, but she had, so now you had to deal with the consequences of your two best friends dating and now then being broke up.
cam shrugged in response. “i guess. it’s just… it didn’t really feel serious, y’know?” he glanced from the sea back towards you, “i liked her but there was always something in the way of fully committing myself to her, and it wasn’t just conrad.” he spoke with his hands.
you hummed to let him know you understood. after knowing cam for so long you knew that he only did relationships if the other person was willing to commit as deeply as he did, if not then it wasn’t really enough for him. not that he had any serious relationships before.
“i just feel like i’m never gonna find the right person.” cam finished off his small ramble. he looked down at the water below and as he did so one hand came up to scratch the back of his head - messing up his curly hair that had already been disturbed by the early morning wind.
“well, i don’t believe in never.” you tilted your head at him with a smile that he matched. he was beaming at you and it seemed to light up the whole area around the both of you, like you had your own bubble of happiness in that moment that nothing or no one could break.
“i don’t believe in always.” he retorted with a tilt of his own head. you shrugged before countering his silly argument, “well, opposites attract, don’t they?” you didn’t mean for your innocent words to have such a reaction, but they had.
cameron’s eyes narrowed on you in a way that you hadn’t seen before, or maybe you had in your dreams. it ignited a reaction in your brain and body that covered your body in goosebumps. camcameron was the man of your dreams, and he didn’t even have a clue.
“never.” he raised a brow, still looking down at you. his hair was a slight mess from a mixture of him playing with it and the weather, and in the bright morning sunlight of cousins he looked even more handsome and human that you’d ever seen him before.
“always.” you argued back — your breath catching in your throat when you spoke as you realised how close the two of you really were now that you were both facing each other fully instead of stealing glances.
cam chuckled, glancing down at your lips for such a short moment that you almost missed it if you weren’t studying him with your eyes. “promise me you’ll always remember me.” he said after a moment of tension filled silence between the pair of you.
“i thought you don’t believe in always.” your voice had accidentally grown quiet. you were afraid to speak up as if he would wake up from a trance and run away, or that you would wake up and this would all really be a dream.
“i believe in promises,” he quickly countered back while bringing a hand up to move a hair that had flown infront of your face to the back of your ear, “and i believe in you, in us.” he added in afterwards.
you shook your head, moving backwards just the slightest so his hand would fall. “don’t make me promise that,” you spoke without thinking of the consequences, “people only ask you to remember them if they’re leaving.”
you shook your head once again in protest, staring down at the space inbetween you and cameron for a moment before finally meeting his eyes. the sadness was there this time. “please don’t ask me to remember that.”
the boy shook his head and took your face in his hands once more, but this time he used both. “i will never leave you, okay?” he raised both of his eyebrows to get his point across, so you would know he wasn’t lying.
you nodded. you didn’t trust yourself to answer him audibly. you weren’t expecting this when he called you after him and belly had just broken up. you would’ve never expected this in a million years but it was really happening.
cam cameron was leaning in, and when your lips met you were instantly obsessed with the sensation. it felt like being dipped in gold, or diving into an ocean and your being swept up so nothing really matters anymore except this kiss. not belly, or conrad or anybody else. just you two together.
this moment. these lips. his hands that laid firmly against each side of your waist and squeezed you tightly so you wouldn’t leave his desperate grasp. it was enough, anything with cam cameron was, but you wanted more. this was the only thing that mattered and you wanted all of it.
your hands ran through his hair, messing it up more, as you leaned closer until you could feel his body pressed against yours. you reeled him in until he would be yours, always.

connie + shy!reader like she had a hard day at work or something and all she wants is a hug but is too afraid to ask
YES I LOVE THIS

you were glad that you and conrad had only planned a movie night and not a big date tonight. you probably would have canceled if you had. today had kicked you in the ass. three people yelled at you at work, your manager being one of them. you just needed conrad.
the ten minute drive from your work to your boyfriends house felt like an hour. the five second walk from the bottom of the driveway to the top, felt like twenty minutes. you had never been more relieved in your life when you finally reached the front door. shooting conrad a quick, 'let me in' text, regardless of the fact that he had told you multiple times you could come in on your own.
it was only a few seconds before the blonde had opened the door, "hi, baby," he smiled, moving out of the way in order to let you in. you smiled back, not saying anything as you made your way to his couch and set your bag down on it. he wasn't far behind you, sitting down on the couch and pulling you with him, "hi," he spoke once more.
"hi," you responded. you moved to dig through your bag, trying to get the pajamas that you swore you had packed. when you came to the conclusion that they were, in fact, not in there. "fuck," you mumbled, leaning back onto the couch with a sigh.
"what's the matter?" conrad asked, placing his hand on your knee.
you took a deep breath, afraid that you might start crying if you hadn't, "i forgot my stupid pajamas," you mumbled, running your fingers through your hair. you had said it like it was the end of the world, and conrad couldn't have been more confused as to why.
he looked at you, tilting his head, "it's alright. we can go upstairs, and you can have one of my tee shirts," he said, moving to stand up and offer you a hand to do the same. you nodded, taking his hand and following him up the stairs. conrad sat you down on his bed, opening his closet, "okay. want a sweater or a t-shirt?" the boy asked, turning around to face you.
you looked up at him, and he felt like he could cry when he realized how sad you looked. "just a t-shirt, please. can i have some sweat pants, too?" you requested, softly.
"anything for you." you got dressed into warm clothes when conrad finally decided to bring up the elephant in the room, "now, pretty. why do you look so sad?" he asked. you shook your head, not wanting to give him an answer. "that's okay. im great at guessing games," your boyfriend smiled, "hmm, are you tired?"
you shook your head.
"hungry?"
again.
"okay, okay. do you want a hug?" bingo. you nodded, looking up from your lap to make eye contact with him. he chuckled, immediately wrapping his arms around you. "y/n/n, baby. you never have to ask for a hug, you know that." he told you, the words muffled into your hair. "bad day at work?" he asked, earning a nod.
you pulled away after a few minutes, ready to talk, "im sorry, connie. it was just a really long day. i didn't mean to shut you out."
he looked at you like you had three heads, "it's okay. we all have bad days. let's go watch the movies," the boy suggested standing up and pulling you with him.
you watched five minutes of ten things i hate about you before you fell asleep.

Hi!! I love your work SO much! I wanted to ask for a Jeremiah Fisher x Fem!Reader (established relationship) lengthy imagine. I want the skinny dipping scene from start to finish with the clothes stealing and stuff. I want the reader to call Jeremiah shaking, sniffling, with tears in her eyes. Then the brothers come and the girls get changed, Taylor and Belly go with Conrad and when they leave Reader has a pain attack and Jeremiah comforts her. Sorry if this is a lot to ask. Love ur writing! Ty!
Rescue Me : Jeremiah Fisher x Reader
Descr: 6.3k wc, y/n is with Belly and Taylor when the other Deb girls steal their clothes while everyone was skinny dipping, leaving her to rely on her boyfriend Jeremiah Fisher to come to her rescue. Hurt comfort, slight angst to fluff
Warnings: Skinny dipping, stealing clothes, fake/mean people, crying, anxiety, betrayal, mentions of being naked (no smut or spicy content), relationship components and such, & cursing. Let me know if I missed anything!

“Put a finger down if you've ever made out with two people within 24 hours of each other,” Taylor said, glancing around at the group of girls.
Gigi, Nicole, and Taylor all lowered a finger as instructed. The girls were circled around the deck of a large boat, hanging out and getting to know each other. It was fairly late but the warm summer weather kept the evening air at Hopper’s Cove still comfortable for now.
After she finished laughing, one of Belly’s debutante friends spoke up. “Okay, put a finger down if you've ever used a stuffed animal to...” she trailed off. “… you know,” the girl concluded boldly.
“His name was Harry Bear Styles,” Taylor defended, putting another finger down.
The girls all laughed as they debated if Taylor having had a name for the bear was normal.
Y/n leaned back against the side of the boat as she took in the way the moonlight reflected on the water beside them. It was a peaceful scene.
“Okay, put a finger down if you've ever had sex.”
“If you've ever been to third?”
“Put a finger down if you've ever gone to second.”
The questions came one after another, hardly enough time for anyone to even comply with the instructions for the first one before the next came. Y/n noticed the way they all seemed directed at Belly, each deb’s eyes staring at her to see if she was putting any down. It wasn’t a surprise to see the debutantes were more interested in Belly’s answers than each other’s; most of them knew each other thoroughly already, but Belly was new to the deb scene. It also came as no surprise that they didn’t seem to care about y/n or Taylor’s answers to their interrogation-like questions; they weren’t debs after all. As far as the girls saw it, Taylor and y/n weren’t even “true” Cousin’s Beach girls since they’d been invited rather than having grown up here.
Y/n and Taylor shared an empathetic expression as the questions weighed in the air. It was clear the debutantes were judging Belly for not having put a finger down to any of the questions. It wasn’t anything Belly should be concerned or ashamed about, much less made to feel that way over. Y/n tried to send the girls a silent look that would make it clear they needed to back off a bit. But, as expected, the debutantes were ignoring y/n completely.
When y/n turned back to look at Taylor, she noticed the look in her eyes. Y/n watched as Taylor silently mouthed “You and Jere?”. She instantly knew what she was getting at. The debutantes were known for having a thing for the Fisher boys; understandably. They also didn’t know y/n well and hadn’t been around her or her and Jeremiah much since they started dating. In fact, it was Belly’s suggestion that y/n get to know these girls better, ideally becoming friend with them, that brought y/n here. Outside of Taylor, the Fishers, and the Conklins, y/n didn’t know anyone in Cousin’s.
The awkward shuffling of Nicole’s feet against the deck of the boat helped y/n refocus on Taylor’s unspoken question. It would be a good change of topic, and Belly clearly could benefit from that. She nodded at Taylor, earning a smile in response.
Taylor smirked as she looked around the boat before side eyeing y/n teasingly. “Put a finger down if you've ever made out with Jeremiah Fisher,” she purred.
When y/n’s ring finger hit the base of her palm, the girls all gasped.
“Wait you two got together?” Dara, one of the debutantes asked, her eyes wide. She leaned forward, arms resting on her legs, visibly intrigued.
The plan had a worked.
“They have been together! Jeremiah has been in love with her for like forever,” Taylor commented happily. As a friend of y/n’s, she’d always been supportive of her healthy relationship with Jeremiah. She shifted her focus across the board and chuckled, “sorry Gigi”.
“No, it’s fine,” Gigi said. Yet, it was clear she was not pleased. She had a newly-present scowl of jealousy on her contoured face. It was no secret she’d long harbored unrequited feelings for the younger Fisher brother.
“I was wondering why he seemed so preoccupied this summer,” Marissa commented, a small smile on her lips.
“And it explains why he’s always staring off at the y/job/station,” Gigi acknowledged, forcing a kind expression to take over her face.
Y/n bashfully bit her lip as she gazed down at her lap. Y/job/station was where y/n had been working for the summer since she needed some extra income and everyone seemed to have some obligation to attend to. She knew her working there was the main reason her boyfriend Jeremiah had decided to actually work this summer instead of just relaxing. He’d said so himself when teasing her about how she wasn’t letting him skate by on his father’s finances anymore. But, had he really been staring over at her while she was working? There was no reason for Gigi to lie about it. And her jealousy about Jeremiah allegedly staring at y/n was blatantly obvious. So, it must be true.
The girls laughed loudly at y/n’s bashful reaction. “You’ve made out with him and this is what flusters you?” Marissa joked lightly, her polite smile showing that she was teasing. The question made y/n even more bashful, only igniting the innocent giggles further.
“So, you’re with Jeremiah?” Nicole asked, redirecting the conversation.
Y/n nodded with a proud smile. “Yeah, we’ve been together for awhile,” she answered softly.
Nicole hummed. She tilted her head as her eyes focused on y/n. “So, you’re probably pretty close to Conrad too then, yeah?” She inquired.
“We’ve all been friends for years,” Belly spoke up as y/n questioningly looked over at Taylor.
Nicole smiled sympathetically at Belly. “Right, but you can’t seem to get a solid answer out of him for me,” she pointed out, not knowing how badly it stung the newest debutante. Nicole shifted her attention back to y/n.
“I’m sorry?” Y/n asked, not caring for how drastically the tone had changed. Or the way Nicole’s interview of her prompted all the debutantes to silence as they visibly waited in anticipation for her answer. She felt Taylor shift closer to her, making her look her way briefly before facing Nicole again.
“Do you think he’s, Conrad, is actually into me,… or?” Nicole asked directly. Her face displayed her embarrassment over having to ask such a thing, especially to someone she barely knew. But, the hopeful look in her eyes simultaneously showed why she wanted to ask.
Y/n swallowed thickly as she mentally reminded herself not to look over at Belly instinctively. “Oh, uh.. I don’t..” she rambled. She slowly glanced at each of the girls and their eager eyes. “I’m sorry… “ she began in a soft shy tone. “I don’t really know those details of Conrad’s life,” y/n said, praying it was enough to stop further questioning.
“Conrad’s a closed book,” Taylor stated with a forced airy laugh.
Nicole signed but nodded.
“Enough about the Fisher boys,” Taylor decided. Her last topic change hadn’t gone the way she wanted. It was time to try again. “Put a finger down if you’ve ever been skinny dipping,” she instructed, lowering a finger as she met Nicole’s stare.
Y/n let out a tiny sigh of relief as the topic successfully changed, Nicole putting a finger down.
“Put a finger down if you've ever gone skinny-dipping at Hopper's Cove,” Nicole amended, holding eye contact with Taylor.
“Is that a dare?” Taylor laughed.
“Absolutely,” Nicole smirked playfully. She turned to see the water outside their boat. “Let’s go,” she hummed, rising from her seat.

“Oh, my God, I knew my boy'd rally!” Steven screamed when Jeremiah showed up to the party.
Jeremiah had been at home upset that y/n had chosen to go out with the girls instead of spending the night with him tonight. But, after thinking it through, and Susannah lovingly scolding him, he got over himself. And what better way to kill time than a party?!
Jeremiah cheered as he dried the dribble of alcohol on his lips. “It's an ice luge! Come try it! Steven, come on!”

“I was so worried it would be freezing,” y/n admitted. She tilted her head back to let the water soak her hair again. “But, it’s not that bad!” She laughed.
Nicole nodded and smiled at y/n. “I know, right?!” She agreed excitedly. “It feels nice actually,” the deb stated confidently.
Taylor stated her agreement and Belly simply nodded before splashing around. The girls’ laughter rang out through the moonlight atmosphere as they continued to enjoy their night.
Gigi jogged down the dock. She began removing her shirt as she laughed at Nicole’s shock of being hit by an unexpected splash from Taylor. “Hey, watch out for jellyfish,” Gigi commented, setting her top next to the other girls’ clothing a foot from the edge of the dock. “I do not want to have to pee on any of you guys.”
Belly laughed loudly. “Ewww,” she gushed, shaking her head.
“The other two girls missed out,” Taylor attested. Y/n nodded silently as she closed her eyes. She focused on the feeling of the water gently caressing her fully-exposed skin as it glided across her. She extended her neck and rested the back of her head against the top of the waves. Since she was nude under the water, she didn’t bring her body up to fully float on the surface. But, she let her legs and hips become slack, allowing the water to raise them slightly beneath the modesty of the water’s surface.
“I know,” Nicole scoffed. She looked over at Gigi as the girl began to remove her pants, wondering what was taking so long. “I figured Dara wouldn't, but Marissa?” She asked rhetorically.
“Yeah,” Taylor agreed. “That's what I thought,” she explained. She had tried to get a feel and understanding of each of Belly’s new friends. Her analysis lead her to the same expectation that Nicole stated having had.
“Nicole!” Gigi called out. She bent down to see the phone screen better after having heard it beep.
“Yeah?” Nicole replied, starting to swim over to her friend.
“Conrad's texting you,” Gigi informed Nicole after seeing his contact name on the screen.
“Okay, coming!” Nicole smiled. She quickened her strokes as she rushed over to see what the message said.
Y/n opened her eyes to look at Belly to see how she was doing over Conrad texting Nicole this late at night.
“This is so nice,” Belly said absentmindedly as she spun around in the water.
“Have to admit Belly, l like your new friends,” Taylor confessed, looking over at y/n for her feedback.
Y/n smiled softly towards Taylor. She wasn’t sure about the girls just yet. She didn’t care for the way Nicole and Belly were in love with the same guy. Not that it was either of their faults, or anyone’s fault per se. But, it felt pretty clear that if things went down, the girls would instantly side with Nicole over Belly. And y/n worried about that for Belly’s sake. But, she was at least happy Belly was still enjoying her night despite Conrad’s interruptive text.
“I knew you would,” Belly smirked smugly.
“They all seem to have moved on about pestering you about things with you and Conrad,” Taylor stated, having looked at the situation with Nicole much differently than y/n had.
Belly hummed carelessly as she spun back to Taylor and y/n. “Because there’s nothing to move on from, right?” She argued, trying to remind herself to resist getting feelings for Conrad again.
“Right,” Taylor nodded happily.
“They seemed supportive of you and Jeremiah too,” Belly stated, smiling at y/n hopefully. It was clear she wanted y/n to like her new friends the way Taylor did. And she hoped this act of support would encourage that.
“Even Gigi,” Taylor murmured quietly, knowing the girl was not too far behind them. “Whose veins just about exploded when she heard,” she added comically.
Y/n giggled and nodded, having seen Gigi’s comical reaction as well. She glanced over towards the dock to see where said girl was, only to not see anyone there. “Uh, guys…-,” y/n began quietly. However, she was cut off when the headlights from Nicole’s car flashed across the water the three of them were still in. She squinted and saw Nicole was driving and Gigi was in the passenger seat. The car had been started and before y/n could even find the words to communicate her observations, the car began to back out.
“I knew they were bitches!” Taylor huffed. She spun sharply, sending waves outwards from her body. She quickly began swimming to the dock.
“What's happening?” Belly asked cluelessly. Her head whipped between y/n and Taylor.
“No, no…. No,” Y/n mumbled, getting nervous.
“Taylor, what's going on?” Belly asked again.
“They took everything,” Taylor explained as she leaned her arm on the dock. “Except for your phone,” she noticed. She picked up the device and realized why Nicole and Gigi had abandoned them. “Which has a really incriminating text from Conrad.”
“Wait, what does it say?” Belly questioned, voice dripping with intrigue.
Y/n hurriedly swam over to the dock. Her wide eyes scanned around them to try to find something they could use to wear home. The girls may have taken all of their clothes and y/n’s phone, but that didn’t mean it was time to give up. There surely had to be a way out of this with some dignity still in tact.
"My mom did ask me to ask you to the ball, but that's not why I did it,” Taylor read aloud. The mocking tone of her voice expressed her sentiments over the text from Conrad. “I did it because I wanted to,” she finished, rolling her eyes.
“Oh my God,” Belly grinned, resting her forearms on the edge of the wooden dock.
“Belly, concentrate,” Taylor scolded. After having seen the look on y/n’s face from her position behind Belly, Taylor frowned. “Y/n, you good?” She asked worriedly.
“Mmmhm,” y/n hummed falsely. “Just thinking about how screwed we are,” she concluded with a loud sigh.
Belly distractedly giggled gleefully as she stared off into the dark sky.
Taylor huffed in annoyance and smacked Belly’s arm.
“What? What? Okay, okay okay, w-well wha-what do we do?” Belly asked after seeing Taylor’s scolding glare.
“I mean, we cannot walk home naked,” y/n pointed out. They were stuck. She couldn’t call anyone without her phone. And they couldn’t walk anywhere without even the tiniest scrap of clothing to wear.
“It could be worse,” Taylor argued hesitantly.
“Taylor,” Belly groaned as she and y/n stared at Taylor in disagreement.
“We’re going,” Taylor determined. She removed herself from the edge of the dock as she prepared to turn and swim to shore.
“What could be worse than this?” Belly rhetorically asked with a loud huff.
“Wait!” Y/n gasped, her eyes landing on a thin layer of material beside the boat they’d been on earlier. It wasn’t ideal, but the large fabric that had been used as a boat cover would make do. “W-what about that?” She asked, pointing over at the dirt covered material beside the abandoned boat.
“Noo,” Taylor whined in a high-pitched voice.
Belly shook her head. “It’s better than being naked,” she said in agreement with y/n. “Let’s do it”.
Y/n bit her lip anxiously when another loud dog began to bark as she, Belly, and Taylor wandered down the dimly lit street. At this point she’d lost count of how many dogs they’d encountered. Yet, each sudden noise had y/n’s nerves soaring.
The trio was huddled together under the dingy and slightly stinky boat cover. Thanks to Nicole and Gigi, they had to walk barefoot down the roughly paved road. The breeze from the late night air had managed to snake its way under and/or through their makeshift coverage so they had curled in on themselves along the way.
“This is so bad. This is bad,” Y/n mumured. She continued to scan the area in order to keep an eye out whatever might be happening around them in the dark.
“I knew those girls were shit,” Taylor complained.
“Okay enough,” Belly sighed. “Okay I get it, you were right”.
Taylor suddenly stopped walking, making y/n and Belly turn to face her. “Why can’t we just call Conrad?” She proposed. “He’s the one who got us into this mess,” Taylor commented.
“I agree,” Y/n said, absentmindedly picking at her cuticles. “We are seriously going to be like murdered or kidnapped or something at this rate,” she panicked.
“No,” Belly groaned dramatically. “Calling Conrad would be too much drama,” she argued.
“I can’t walk two more miles,” Taylor whined, trying to cover her shoulders more with the thin fabric.
“Taylor’s right, let me see your phone Belly,” y/n instructed, extending her hand beneath the curtain of material around her. “I’ll call,” she offered.
“No, you’re both going to have to suck it up,” Belly stated firmly.
“Oh my God!” Taylor whined. She shared an exasperated expression with y/n but trudged on.
Y/n’s frame began to shake. She knew it was a mix between her anxiety and the air hitting her wet skin. The other girls had been going on and on about Conrad being a disaster for playing with Belly and Nicole’s feelings. But y/n was focused solely on trying to keep her breathing and heart rate steady. It was getting to be an increasingly harder job as the sound of some angry man could be heard in background of the street they were.
“Belly,” Y/n pleaded. Her voice crackled, and she had to stifle a sob. When Taylor and Belly quickly looked her way, she sniffled. “Please let me call Jeremiah,” she requested. The desire to attempt to stop her oncoming anxiety attack helped her realize that while she didn’t have her own phone she could use Belly’s since she too had Jeremiah’s number saved.
Belly nodded silently and hurriedly passed y/n the phone.
Y/n walked a few steps to the side, unable to truly distance herself from the girls given they had to share the protection of the boat cover. She scrolled through Belly’s contacts until she found his entry and quickly pressed call. As she placed the phone to her ear to wait, her vision began to blur from the tears in them. This was a disaster.

“Wait, weren’t you out with y/n?” Jeremiah dared to ask the pissed-off-looking Nicole. He was tempted to let her just take his brother aside to talk like she commanded, but he had to know why she wasn’t with y/n and the others anymore.
“I was, she’s still with the girls,” Nicole answered simply. She signaled for Conrad to hurry up. “I just needed to talk to Conrad,” she explained.
Jeremiah sighed in relief now that he knew y/n was still fine and enjoying her night with the girls. He leaned back against the step behind him on the staircase. He tried not to smirk as he watched Conrad reluctantly follow Nicole like a kicked puppy. He loved his brother, but also knew from how much turmoil his brother had been causing Nicole and Belly lately; he had this talk coming.
Conrad and Nicole had just stepped out of the doorway when Jeremiah heard his phone ring as it began to vibrate against his thigh. He lazily reached into his pocket and checked the caller ID. Why was Belly calling? He clicked accept and answered, “hello?”
“J-J… Jere,” y/n whimpered.
Jeremiah’s chest tightened as he heard y/n’s sniffles through the phone. “Woah, babe! Babe, baby, what…” he rambled. He forced himself to take a breath so he could speak coherently. “W-what’s going on? Are you okay?” Jeremiah questioned worriedly.
“N-no,” y/n cried.
“What’s going on Y/n/n? Where are you?” Jeremiah inquired as he jumped up from the stairs and rushed to the door. As he worked his way through the crowd he thought over how much he had to drink. Fortunately had not consumed too much, not enough to keep him from driving safely without having to wait for Conrad -who was the official DD-.
“I…,” y/n choked up, sniffling loudly as she tried to wipe the free-flowing tears from her face. “Jere,” she whimpered, not having heard his voice in a few seconds and her mind too frantic to realize he’d asked her a question.
“I’m here baby,” Jeremiah soothed. “Talk to me, please,” he requested softly.
“I … I need you Jeremiah,” y/n begged. Her hand held the phone painfully tight as her chest shook.
“I’m already on my way to you, babe,” Jeremiah promised lovingly as he started his car. “Just tell me where you are,” he instructed tenderly as he began to back out of his parking spot.
“I… I don’t…,” y/n groaned faintly. “I don’t know,” she confessed shyly.
“O-okay, that’s uhhh.., that’s fine,” Jeremiah reassured as y/n sniffled. “Can you see anything recognizable around you, sweetheart?” He guided.
“N-no,” y/n answered, pointlessly shaking her head. “It… it’s dark,” she explained, her fear ringing out in her words.
“I know,” Jeremiah said as he frowned. The time of day had only added to his worry upon hearing y/n cry as soon he answered the phone. “Tell you what, can you turn location sharing on for Bell’s phone?”
Y/n paused for a moment as a weight in her chest sunk heavily. “Oh, okay, I will, thanks,” she mumbled.
Jeremiah sensed that y/n was planning on hanging up to do as he instructed. He sighed to himself. She clearly wasn’t thinking thoroughly. “Babe, stay on the phone with me, okay?” He advised quickly before she could hang up. “Just put me on speaker while you adjust the settings, yeah?”
“Oh… right,” y/n sniffled. “Duh,” she remarked harshly towards herself as she placed the call on speakerphone.
“Shh, you’re fine y/n/n,” Jeremiah cooed. “You’re doing great.” He gripped the steering wheel tightly as he kept himself from nervously tapping it as he waited. Y/n didn’t need him being in a panicked state as well. She was already struggling. But that was precisely what had Jeremiah so tense and on-edge. He needed to get to his girl.

Y/n could feel that Belly and Taylor had intentionally sat close to her on either side of her as they sat on the curb. No one said anything. After all, what was there to say? After she’d gotten off the phone with Jeremiah, Belly apologized. Y/n struggled to try to reassure her that it wasn’t Belly’s fault. Thankfully, Taylor caught on to y/n’s intentions and conveyed the message before suggesting they all sit as they waited for Jeremiah to arrive.
Y/n stared at the shrubbery and trees across the road from them. It was barely even visible at this hour. But she found their stillness was slightly calming. Plus, it gave her something to focus on rather than ruminating over the multitude of fears that were screaming inside her mind.
As Jeremiah turned onto the street that Belly’s GPS location showed the girls at, he searched the area that was now lit up by his headlights; in search of y/n. He choked on a gasp as his eyes found her. She was draped in a soiled boat cover, her soaked hair dripping down the front of it, her eyes distant and full of tears, and she was visibly trembling. Whether that was from the cold, her emotions, or something else, Jeremiah wasn’t certain. What he was certain of however was that he should’ve gotten here earlier. Sure y/n had Belly and Taylor with her still. But, she was the only one in tears, the only one shaking. They all looked defeated and embarrassed. Y/n was in far worse shape than they were though.
Jeremiah forced out a choppy exhale as he flung his car door open. He only spared Conrad a minimal glance when his car pulled up beside him. But then his eyes were back on his girl. His far too polite, sometimes overly-trusting, lovingly protective, and all around sweet girl. She didn’t deserve this.
“Shit,” Belly cursed under her breath as she and the other girls looked over to the two sets of headlights. “They’re both here?” She asked Y/n accusatorially.
Y/n shrugged and sniffled. She tried to compose herself enough to state her innocence in this change of events. “I…I only talked to Jere,” she defended weakly.
“Belly,” Taylor scolded sharply, elbowing the girl in the side. “Stop,” she sighed. She offered y/n an apologetic expression on behalf of Belly.
“Oh my God!” Jeremiah exclaimed as he sprinted over. “Y/n, sweetheart, are you okay?” He asked. He shook his head, realizing his mistake. Of course she wasn’t okay. “I.. I mean, of course…,” he sighed.
As Taylor and Belly helped y/n stand up with them, he smiled faintly in appreciation. Jeremiah wanted nothing more than to simply hold y/n. To protect her from any further embarrassment, hurt, worry, from anything. But the predicament with their clothing complicated things. The fact the three girls were all sharing a musty old boat cover prevented that from being a viable option right now. Jeremiah used the minimal light of his headlights to scan y/n as much as he could in the dark. He stepped closer and cupped her cheek, tenderly drying a few tears with his thumb.
“What are you doing here?” Taylor sassed. She squinted at Conrad as he approached with a bag of clothes in his right hand.
“Nicole…. Uhhh…” Conrad began cautiously. He rubbed the back of his neck with his free hand.
Jeremiah moved his hands to y/n’s shoulders. He respectfully made sure his hands didn’t touch any of her exposed skin and instead remained on the loosely wrapped boat cover excess that pooled there. He searched her eyes worriedly as he watched her turn her gaze to Conrad, seemingly wanting to know his answer as well. Jeremiah hummed softly as he craned his neck to look over at his brother.
Conrad glanced around at everyone as they stared at him expectantly. “She told me about ummm…and…,” he mumbled as he waved his hand around towards the girls.
Jeremiah narrowed his eyes at Conrad in question. He still hadn’t heard why the girls were stranded. All y/n said when asking him to come was that she needed him. Even after vying a bit for more information on his drive here, she’d only mentioned their group went skinny dipping and the three of them lost their clothes. He didn’t know where the other girls were, if they’d had their clothes taken too, or what Conrad had to do with all of this. But, the fact Nicole had been so pissed when showing up at the party and the fact Conrad had a bag of what seemed to be the girls’ clothes was damning evidence of a plausible explanation. But Jeremiah couldn’t focus on that right now. He certainly would later. Whoever all was behind making y/n this distraught would certainly be in for it soon. But for now, he needed to simply be there for her.
Jeremiah frowned, his brows furrowed. Y/n’s eyes weren’t on Conrad anymore, but her gaze was distant again. Her shoulders shook under the boat cover beneath his hands. “Sweetheart,” he whispered, moving one hand to her cheek. “Can you look at me?” Not getting anything in response, he tried again. “Y/n, just focus on me okay? I need you to talk to me, please”.
Taylor sighed softly. “It’s been a long night, Jeremiah,” she informed him, not caring to jokingly mispronounce his name the way she normally would. “Can you both just…?” She asked, looking between the boys.
Jeremiah nodded in understanding. He accepted the corner of the cover that Belly passed his way. He nodded his head at Conrad to signal for him to do the same with the other corner. He tried to steady his breathing and calm his anger so that when y/n was done, he could be there for her. He heard the girls stumbling around behind him and Conrad as they tried to dress.
Conrad glanced nervously over at his brother with a shy remorseful expression. He nearly winced when he was met with a hesitant but sharp glare as Jeremiah shook his head.
“You’re so not going with Conrad, right?” Taylor quietly asked Belly, her tone coated in a manner that showed she was instructing Belly rather than asking.
“Taylor,” Belly whispered. When Taylor looked her way, she nodded her head towards y/n as the girl stumbled while she worked to dress herself with shaking hands and presumably cloudy vision from her tear-filled eyes.
Taylor frowned; she felt horrible for y/n. She knew how bad her anxiety had been tonight. She nodded. “Fine, Conrad it is,” Taylor agreed.
“Wh-what?” Y/n asked, feeling eyes on her.
“Nothing,” Taylor smiled softly. “Just saying we’re going with Conrad,” she answered, helping hold y/n steady as she tried putting her shoes on. “You just let your boy take care of you, yeah?” She encouraged.
“Th-tha-thank-,” y/n began, sniffling as she tried to paste on a small smile for her friend.
“‘Course, girl,” Taylor hummed as she squeezed y/n’s clothed shoulder supportively. Seeing that they were all dressed now, she smiled at the girls and nodded for them to turn around. “Okay,” she said, no longer whispering between the girls, this time intending for the boys to hear her so they knew they could lower the cover and face them again.
Jeremiah quickly dropped his side of the fabric and spun around. Once he was facing the girls, he brought his hands up and cupped y/n’s face tenderly. His thumbs delicately swiped away her falling tears as he listened closely to her breathing pattern. “You’re okay, you’re safe sweetheart,” he promised.
Taylor smiled softly. “Take good care of my girl, Fisher,” she encouraged as she and Belly walked towards Conrad’s car.
“C’mere baby girl,” Jeremiah cooed, lowering his hands and opening his arms up for y/n. He squinted when she didn’t move to enter his embrace. “Y/n/n?” He asked.
“Are you mad at me?” Y/n whimpered.
“What?” Jeremiah ask, voice ringing with the sound of his disbelief. “Why in the world would I be mad at you?”
Y/n didn’t respond. She just sniffled and stared at her feet. Her sternum bounced as she tried to keep from breaking into a crying fit.
“You know this isn’t your fault,” Jeremiah murmured, “right?”
Y/n slowly nodded. “B-but I.. I..,” she protested vaguely, her breathing becoming more erratic.
“Aye, aye, aye, breathe,” Jeremiah instructed softly, taking y/n’s shaking hands in his. “Take a breath, love”.
Y/n sniffled as she unconsciously squeezed Jeremiah’s hands as she tensed. “I.. chose to spend time with them instead of-,” she mumbled.
“Ahh,” Jeremiah whispered to himself in realization. She was worrying about how they had a small disagreement over their plans for tonight. “Nah, nah, no, shhh,” he soothed. He rubbed the backs of her hands with his thumbs. “That doesn’t matter,” Jeremiah promised warmly.
“Jere-,” y/n protested.
“No babe,” Jeremiah said as he shook his head. “You haven’t had much girl time lately, I just got jealous of sharing your time, and you,” he blushed.
Y/n smiled weakly but genuinely. “But…,” she continued, her racing thoughts having taken over her mind by now. “S-still I … I left to see them, and then had to interrupt your night, and-”.
Jeremiah curled the left corner of his mouth towards as he gazed lovingly at y/n. “You can interrupt my night any time y/n/n, you know that. I don’t mind,” he told her.
Y/n sniffled, her eyes slowly finding their way to meet Jeremiah’s gaze. “But I…, it was your day off too, and I,” she hiccuped. “I ruined your evening, and all because I was too naive to-”. .
“Shhh, no. You’re not naive, they’re just mean girls,” Jeremiah defended. He softly pulled y/n’s hands closer to him. “You got caught in Conrad’s mess. I’m so sorry for that, honey, I am,” he frowned.
“Jere, ‘s not your fault,” y/n murmured.
Jeremiah gave y/n a grateful faint smile. “I know, but still, I-” he began.
“No, Jere,” y/n argued. Her breathing picked back up. She didn’t mean to make Jeremiah feel bad over this. She sniffled as she felt her nose run. “It-it’s n-n-,” she rambled.
“Okay, okay,” Jeremiah nodded. He delicately pulled y/n’s shaking body to his chest. “Oh and by the way, Y/n,” he said, her name coated in love. “You could never ruin my evening,” he attested.

“That’s it,” Jeremiah encouraged. He stared down at y/n as she continued to cling to his shirt. “You’re doing great,” he whispered. They were still on the street that he’d driven to when trying to find her earlier. She’d slipped into a full-blown panic attack moments after the other girls were in Conrad’s car.
“N..no,” y/n argued in a hushed voice. Her grip on the fabric of Jeremiah’s shirt intensified as she tried to catch her breath. “I still c-can’t b-bre-”.
“Yes you can,” Jeremiah promised, brushing y/n’s hair back from her face. It was true. She was breathing… shallowly… but still, she was getting air into her lungs. It was the only positive thing Jeremiah was clinging onto right now. “I wouldn’t dare let you sit here with me like this if you weren’t,” he pointed out warmly.
“F-feel,” y/n whimpered. She shifted off Jeremiah’s lap, the grass under him tickling her leg as she moved. She took hold of one of his hands and lifted it up. She placed his palm over the fabric covering the left side of her upper chest.
Jeremiah frowned as he felt just how fast his girlfriend’s heart was racing. He obviously already knew it was beating faster than normal. But, feeling it himself and seeing how desperate y/n was to make him understand why she felt she couldn’t breathe was a whole other matter. He sighed sympathetically. “Oh baby,” he cooed.
“Just lean on me sweetheart,” Jeremiah instructed when y/n returned to his lap in order to hold onto him again. “I’m here,” he hummed, y/n’s head burying into the crook of his neck, “I’m here”. Jeremiah closed his arms around y/n’s back and held her to him. Maybe if he could hold her tight enough, she’d realize she was safe and secure. He needed her to know that. She didn’t need to be afraid anymore. He just wanted her to see that. To believe that.
“I’m not going anywhere,” Jeremiah told y/n. He rested his chin on her shoulder, tucking her under him even more. “I’m not going to let anyone hurt you baby, I promise,” he declared softly. “You’re safe, you’re safe, you’re safe,” Jeremiah echoed, listening to the way her breathing calmed in sync with his reassurances.

“What is it y/n/n?” Jeremiah questioned lovingly as he glanced over at her from the drivers seat. He’d felt her eyes on him and when he looked her way, he saw he’d been correct.
“Just.. Thank you,” y/n answered with a soft smile.
Jeremiah smiled and shook his head. He peaked back at the street to enter the long straight strip of road was still clear. As his eyes once again found y/n, he sighed fondly. “You don’t need to thank me”.
Y/n shrugged and chuckled quietly. She bit her lip bashfully when she saw the way her laugh brought out Jeremiah’s characteristic grin. “I’m thanking you for coming to rescue me, whether you accept it or not,” y/n stated.
Jeremiah chuckled as his eyes playfully widened before looking back at the road. “Was that a threat?” He teased and squeezed y/n’s hand.
“Mmm, if it needed to be,” y/n giggled in defense.
Jeremiah’s smile grew as he listened to y/n’s laughter. “I love you,” he vowed, looking her way as he pulled up to the last stop sign before they were home. He nibbled on his bottom lip with smug giddiness. He was pleased she was feeling much better. But he was truly proud he’d been able to turn her night around and make her smile so excitedly after everything she had been through tonight.
“I love you too, Jere,” y/n hummed, squeezing his hand tightly. “My handsome, bubbly, knight in shining armor,” she complimented, beaming proudly when he blushed. She rested her head calmly against the headrest with a tranquil sigh as Jeremiah pulled in the driveway.
“Let’s get you to bed so you can sleep, hmm?” Jeremiah suggested, putting the car into park. He quickly exited the car and rushed to the passenger side before y/n could exit. “Did you want to sleep in my room tonight?” He offered as he opened the door for her.
Y/n nodded gratefully and let Jeremiah help her out of his car. She leaned against him as he wrapped himself around her from the side to walk with her. She yawned and quickly covered her mouth with her hand. Y/n smiled up at Jeremiah when she felt him kiss the top of her head as he opened the door to the beach house. She was home and safe. Not just because they’d made it back to Susannah’s house. But because she had Jeremiah, because she was in his arms, guarded by his protective love and affection.

εϊз salt air, and the rust on your door ; anton lee
pairing. bf!anton lee x f!reader. genre. fluff, childhood friends to lovers. inspired by tsitp. synopsis. (the summer house pt. 1) breathing in the salty air during a hot august night spent at anton's summer house alters your brain somehow. you gather the courage to tell anton that you love him. warnings. kissing/make out, physical touch. wc. 883 words. author’s note. sorry that i disappeared for so long, i was on trial for fraud :/ i’m back now though !!

( 🐚 ) ONE SUMMER CAN CHANGE EVERYTHING.
you awake from your nap sometime late into the evening. in the distance you hear something orchestral, it’s soft and melodic and surrounds you like a chorus of angels welcoming you into your new forever. “must be anton’s cello,” you think.
of course it was. you step out of his bedroom, the floorboards creak one by one as you tip toe out into the living room. you’re greeted by his silhouette, the point of his shoulders broad as ever as he sits up tall, hands moving the bow as he plays. you hear him mutter a few frustrations.
he pauses, and then halfway turns to you.
“finally, you’re up. please sit down and tell me what the hell i’m doing wrong.” you smile as you sit crisscrossed on the shag carpet in front of him, somewhat reminiscent of the first kindergarten day you’d ever met him.
anton begins again, his eyes focused on the sheet music in front of him. you admire how handsome and focused he looks, his movements sophisticated to a standard you’d never seen before. he proceeds to play something that makes you feel as if you’re floating in the clouds. every note rings out thick through your ears, you’re practically surrounded by music notes by the time he’s done. whatever he’d just played had changed your life in only three minutes.
“fuck you forever,” he mutters. it catches you off guard and you look at him like a deer caught in headlights. anton notices your expression and quickly follows up. “oh my god, not you. the cello. i didn’t mean you.”
“why do i suck at playing today?” you shake your head at him. suck at playing? anton?? there's no way. "that's impossible," you retort. "i think i literally ascended just now. you're fine, anton. actually— you're perfect." he flashes that wide grin at you and woah, you are so glad you were already sitting down because you would've collapsed otherwise.
"thanks, baby. i hope you aren't just saying that because you're my girlfriend." you shake your head at him again. you could never lie to anton. to you, he was the greatest cello player on earth. you'd spend an entire lifetime proving it to the world if you could.
"anton, i'm saying that because it's the truth. and also because i love you." his head jerks back at your words, eyes going wide as ever. your face goes red and you question what overcame you to finally admit the quiet part out loud. was it the salty cape cod air altering your brain chemicals? had you been possessed by cupid himself?
anton puts his bow down and steps away from his instrument. you're curious as to what he's going to do. he walks over to you and then somewhat crouches onto his knees, caressing the back of your head with his hand. you're face to face and closer than you'd been all day. the air must be doing something to the both of you, because any of your usual shyness is gone. far, far gone. anton gives you a soft smile. you admire how pretty he is up this close, lucky that you're the only one who gets to see him in such an intimate way.
the silence between you two is more than comfortable. it feels like it was your destiny to be here, in this moment. the sound of waves crashing against the nearby shore fills the space around you. in a way, it's harmonious. it's just as comforting as waking up to the sound of anton practicing. perfect doesn't even begin to describe your summer.
he leans in and kisses you. first softly, and then with more intensity. his hands run through your hair, they caress your skin and light little fires all over your body. the both of you end up laying on the floor as you're on top of him, with your hands in his hair this time, sending shivers down his spine as he tries to find the meaning of love within your lips. by the time you both pull away for air, your lips are red and faces flushed with nervousness. "there's that familiar shyness creeping back," you think.
"i love you too, y/n. i love you so much." anton whispers as you hover above him. you two move so that you're sitting next to each other, backs against the couch. you lean your head on his shoulder and take his soft hand in yours. "you're so sweet," you say. "how did i get so lucky?" if the intensity of your feelings are only temporary, damn, you never want the honeymoon phase to end. you savor this moment. you savor every moment as if anton would disappear right before your eyes.
"i still don't believe you. tell me i suck at playing the cello and then we can do that again." anton says, disturbing the silence.
"oh my god, shut up."
"fine, you suck." you obviously lie to him.
anton smiles as he leans in once again.

night swims w conrad?
Pairing - Conrad Fisher x Fem!Reader Summary - Conrad interrupts your night swim, leading to all the words you hadn't said spilling out. Warnings - Jealousy? Mentions of alcohol use Words - 1.3K
Masterlist
Night swims were always enjoyable. To dip your legs in first, for the bitter water to creep up your skin ever so slowly until you submerged your whole body. Goosebumps covered your skin, reminding you that you could feel something. Once your shoulders were in the water, it suddenly wasn't as cold. It was weightless. And it carried you as you floated on your back, staring up at the stars as if they were staring back at you.
Night swims were for the days that were too much. After going to a bonfire with all the boys (plus a surprise visit from Belly), tonight was one of those nights. Maybe it was just the people, or the amount of alcohol you consumed, or perhaps, as you deep down knew, it was about the fact you had to watch Conrad and Nicole the whole night. She was the newest hookup of Conrads. Not quite girlfriend, but she was certainly under the belief it would happen one day.
It was torture. She was nice and kind and she only wanted the best for Conrad exactly as you were. A part of you was seething with guilt in that you still hated her a little bit. She had stolen everything you wanted to be. But, by now, it had become a feeling you were all too familiar with. Every few months, a new girl. Before her, there was Arbury who was lucky to make it to girlfriend status - not many ever had done.
Wrapped up with these thoughts, you just wanted a moment away from the chaos. Like you could pretend that, for a second, it didn't bother you. That what Conrad did - who he did - didn't actually bother you. When your eyelids lifted, you almost thought you were hallucinating. The very person who had captured your thoughts was looking down at you.
At first, you didn't move. Because, at first, you weren't completely sure if he was real. Then you jumped back to reality and that pit in your stomach returned. You adjusted, going to stand rather than float. Still, you turned to find Conrad who had his legs dangled in the water, letting his gaze wander over you, every corner of your skin as if you didn't notice what he was doing.
"It's late." So you assumed anyway. You hadn't even checked the time when you came in, but the bonfire had dragged on for a while - or maybe it only felt that way because you were forced to watch Nicole flirt with Conrad the whole night. "What are you doing out?" You finally added.
Conrad answered by retrieving a cigarette from his jacket pocket; a new hobby he had taken up this Summer. "Been a long night." You were glad he felt the same.
"Susannah's already mad at you, you think that's gonna help?" You had one brow raised at him.
But it didn't seem to do anything, "I don't need a reminder." There was a snap in his tone that you had tried to ignore. "And anyway, she's fast asleep." His eyes dwindled at that, going to focus on the abyss in the distance.
You swam closer to him, forcing the boy to move his gaze back to yourself. "What's with the smoking anyway?" You'd noticed it since you first arrived. He would wander off and come back ten minutes later smelling of either smoke or some illegal substance. "Just last year, you hated it. I remember when you found Jere vaping and you gave him the silent treatment for almost two whole days."
He thought about that memory for a moment before he shrugged it off. "Things change." He excused.
Without being able to stop yourself, words started spilling out, "I thought you wouldn't." He was Conrad. He wasn't meant to change, especially not like this.
Your eyes lingered on his, watching as his pupils dilated and his expression moulded into one you couldn't read. "You're upset with me?" He finally asked as you took a few steps back.
"Like you said, things changed." You reiterated. "You changed. You're more distanced from everything, quiet. You don't have that playfulness you did last year-"
He cut in with a scoff, "Playfulness? Really?" You could feel your heart sinking. "You mean because I don't play your's and Jeremiah's and Belly's childish games?"
You knew there was no point in arguing with him. "It doesn't matter." You shook your head. And this time, you turned your back to him, swimming to the other end of the pool when you weren't forced to stare at Conrad Fisher.
Only a few minutes had passed when you heard the shuffling of movement. At first, you thought Conrad was getting up to leave, but the sounds continued until a soft splash came from the other side of the pool. That noise prompted you to turn. Conrad was already looking at you, shirtless and getting used to the temperature. Then, once he was close enough, he flicked his hand passed the water, letting it splash in your face.
"Conrad, what the hell!" You snapped, squirming at the feeling of bitter water hitting your skin.
"What?" He questioned as if he was innocent. "You told me to be more playful."
He shrugged it off as if it were nothing, gaining closer and closer until you only had to whisper in reply. "I'm not in the mood." Your tone was flat.
But Conrad hadn't let that stop him. He splashed you once more. "Conrad!" You snapped again.
"Oh come on, you not gonna fight back?" Your head shook and he took another step towards you before there was barely any distance left between the two of you. Before you could stop him, his hands took a grip around your waist. Within a moment, you were swirling around at Conrad's will, and as much as you hated it, laughter was trickling from your lips. "That's not the Y/n I know!"
You started hitting his side, letting out a, "Conrad, put me down!" Only just heard through the giggles to two of you shared.
Soon enough, he slowed and your body entered the water again. But Conrad's touch didn't leave you. His hands lingered around your bare waist and you swore you could get drunk just off his touch. He was so close. Yet, there was a distance between the two of you still. There felt more distance now than before you had arrived at Cousins. You just sat wishing the boy would break that distance.
"I'm sorry I've not really been around as much as you had expected. Or that I haven't joined in on any of your games or even watched a movie with you." His eyes clung to your own. "But, trust me, I'm trying."
This time, your hand reached out, brushing his cheek as he fell into it. "That's all we need to know." You assured him. "I'm here for you Conrad, you know that?"
He nodded, "I know." And before you could reply, he closed that distance. His lips leaned into your own and you were caught in his trap.
It was sweet but short-lived as you pulled away, too shocked to deepen the kiss any further. Conrad's eyes were frightened and yours were curious. "Why did you do that?" You asked, without moving away from his touch.
He thought on it for a second before answering, "I think I've been meaning to for a few Summers now." Them words had only made you lean into another kiss. One of which you were sure now wouldn't be your last.

conrad fisher x reader
a/n: wanted to get this right for you, hope you enjoy <3
when susannah was first diagnosed, she went through extensive amounts of treatment to try and beat the cruel disease. luckily, it eventually faded and left her alone. she was able to get more time with her boys, feeling strong in her ability to fight it off. only until it returned, but she fought through one more summer with her boys.
while she was in chemotherapy, she met a girl. her name was y/n and she had been diagnosed with her own cancer. susannah’s heart broke every single time she saw y/n. she was so young, and no one ever deserves to be put through that hell. when y/n was sat next to susannah for a treatment, they connected. she felt something with the girl, maybe her being so close in age to her boys. she can’t imagine not being there for them.
“i’m susannah,” she smiles gracefully at y/n who returned her own grin.
“i’m y/n,” she told. “it’s nice to meet you.”
susannah admired her positivity. it’s hard to be so optimistic in this situation and the room, surrounded by people who are held down by a vicious force of nature.
“you have a beautiful smile,” y/n said to susannah, causing her to awe at her and completely adore her. every time treatments came around again, y/n sat with susannah. they always wanted to sit with each other, sharing funny stories and eating the hospital popsicles.
“are you from massachusetts?” susannah asked.
“yeah, i’ve been here my whole life,” y/n said, taking a lick of her popsicle. “i’m here with my dad, my mom moved away. she’s not really a part of anything anymore.”
“does she know you’re sick?”
“yeah, she knows,” y/n’s expression changed so sadness. “there’s nothing she can do, you know?”
“i’m sorry, sweetie.”
“it’s ok,” y/n replied. “i’m glad you’re here, though.”
susannah beamed back at her, almost forgetting the situation they were in. y/n’s personality completely shined when she was with susannah. she was almost like her own mother, supporting her and being there for the good and bad news. y/n was there for susannah every day, doing random activities and just gossiping about. they eventually discovered that both of them usually spent summers in cousins beach, and they hoped they would see each other there.
susannah had finally been cleared, her cancer going away as she continued to live her wonderful life. she saw her boys every day, something to never take for granted. she thought about y/n a lot, messaging her on facebook to see her condition. soon after, y/n had pushed through her own battle, and she was cancer free. that summer, she swore would be the best of her life.
cousins was a great place. it was relaxing, it was an escape from all the chaos and haunting memories of her sickness. she felt like a kid again in cousins, she was happier than ever there. susannah was basically her mother at this point, talking to her more than her biological mother does. she was kind of like her best friend, the only one who truly understands how it is sometimes.
susannah had wanted to take conrad and jeremiah shopping, and she had laurel and her kids come too. they were all messing around in little gift shops, finding cute outfits for each other and susannah spoiling all of them. when she walked into a little boutique with stylish items for everyone, she could tell by the back of y/n that it was her. she was browsing around the comfortable cousins merchandise, feeling the soft fabrics and letters on the hoodies. y/n eventually turned around, locking eyes with susannah.
“y/n!” susannah shouted. “you look so beautiful!”
y/n reached in for a hug, holding susannah in her arms as susannah almost cried in happiness. “you look so pretty, susannah.”
“i’m so happy to see you! i was hoping we would bump into each other, but you look like you’re doing really well!” susannah placed a hand on her cheek.
“i feel good!” y/n added, holding onto her hand as she ran her fingers through her growing hair, just touching her shoulders now. “how are you, though, it’s been so long since i’ve seen you in person.”
“i know, it’s been a crazy year, but- oh!” she turns around to her boys, pulling them to her side. “these are my sons, conrad and jeremiah.”
she looks at jeremiah who has the same, bright smile on his face as his mother. he waves lightly, making y/n feel comfortable in him, like an old friend. when she looks at conrad, he’s slightly more smirky than jeremiah. he’s fully admiring y/n, hearing so much about her and finally meeting her. he never knew she was so gorgeous, wondering why his mom never told him.
when she held eye contact with conrad, y/n could sense herself getting more and more nervous. the back of her neck got hot and she wanted to make sure she looked good. conrad was really cute, and there was no denying that.
“this is my best friend, laurel and her kids,” y/n waved hello to belly and steven, who looked kind and lovely. belly was thrilled, hopefully being able to make a new friend who has the graciousness of susannah. “oh! you should come to our house tonight! connie and jere can set up the grill!”
y/n looked at the accepting smiles of her new friends. “i’d love to, susannah!”
that night at her own beach house, y/n picked out her best outfit, hoping to secretly impress the boys. she’s been so used to hospitals and staying home that being able to dress up for people felt like a relief. she formed two small braids on the top of her head, letting the rest of her hair down. she picked a pair of shorts and white corset top with small peach-colored flowers. she felt good when she looked in the mirror, confident and pretty. she added a few final pieces of jewelry and walked downstairs with her purse.
“hi, dad,” she said, walking up to her father who was in the kitchen. “i’m going to meet susannah and her family.”
“that’s great!” he replied, voice full of excitement. “i’m meeting up with some friends at the pub, but hey, have a good time, ok? if you need anything at all call me and i’ll bring you anything-“
“dad,” y/n giggles. “i’m fine, you need to have fun tonight, let loose a little?”
“alright, kid. i’ll see you later,” y/n then scurried out the door and into her car, driving anxiously to the fisher house. she was excited to spend some time with her outside of the white, dull walls of the chemo rooms. she hoped that belly and steven would want to be her friend, someone to confide in. the fisher boys looked sweeter than anyone, jeremiah’s bright smile illuminating whatever room he was in and conrad’s personality lightly shining through.
when she walked up to the door, she barely had to knock before susannah pulled the door open. “you’re here! we’re hanging out in the back, come!”
y/n walked through the house, admiring the organized furniture and the aroma of the beach. she glanced at the photos of the families, posing softly with their kids, past and present. she reached the doors to the back patio, seeing everyone all about. “hey, y/n!” jeremiah said, the first to notice that she had walked in.
“y/n!” belly exclaimed. “i’m so glad someone is here to save me from them.”
y/n laughed at her little jokes, noticing the faint stare from conrad as he continued to set up the food for dinner. y/n made her rounds to everyone, chatting up with them before noticing conrad by himself. the rest of them were talking, so y/n stood and walked over to conrad.
“i didn’t realize you were so passionate about cheeseburgers,” y/n grins lightly, getting the same from conrad.
“my mom told me that they better be good,” he said. “she’s very particular about her burgers.”
“ah, i see,” y/n looks back at him, his eyes still on her.
“hey, congrats on being cleared. that’s really awesome,” conrad tells her, making her smile.
“thank you, conrad.”
“you know, we’ve heard a lot about you,” he said. “my mom loves you like a daughter. i’m glad we could finally meet in person, though.”
“i’m really glad i’m here,” conrad can’t seem to pull his eyes away from hers. each detail in her eyes is admired by him, looking at her pretty features and her perfect outfit. her cheeks, her eyes, her lips-
he was pulled directly out of his thoughts when he saw the harsh smoking of one of the burgers, completely burnt. “shit,” he looks, picking the patty up and tossing it out. his eyes are directed to y/n’s face again, holding back a little chuckle. he starts laughing himself, “i hope my mom doesn’t notice.”
once everyones stomachs are full, and they savored the delicious meals from conrad and his mother, laurel gets up and starts a fire in the pit. the warmth of the flames reaches y/n, making her body feel tingly and comforted as she looks at conrad.
he’s sitting back in his chair, hair swooped perfectly out of his face. he has a faint smirk on his mouth, looking at his brother and steven argue about god knows what.
“hold on,” jere speaks. “we should go swimming, what are we doing?”
“i’ll go change!” steven yells, running inside the house to find his swim shorts.
“wanna swim?” conrad asks y/n.
“oh, i didn’t bring a bathing suit,” she informs, her smile dropping slightly.
“you can borrow one of mine!” belly tells her, excitement creeping into her words. “here, come with me.”
y/n takes her hand and jogs up the stairs, going into her room as belly holds up different options. she ends up going for the blue striped one, fitting her perfectly and easy to swim in. she walks out with a towel that she also borrowed, standing next to belly looking into the pool.
“i’m just gonna jump,” y/n says, not bothering to dip her toes in first.
“me too,” belly says, taking a step back as they both jump into the water. the cool pool engulfs y/n’s body, seeing the tiny bubbles around her as she opens her eyes underwater. the quick impact with the water sends a few chills up her spine, feeling the tingling on her skin. the previously calm water was splashing all around her when she came back to the surface. y/n brusher her hair out of her face, looking at the three boys jumping in next to them. she and belly let out playful screams, as steven scooped up his sister and threw her back in.
“volleyball tournament!” belly shouts. “me and y/n vs the guys.”
the boys groan sarcastically, as y/n swims over to one side with belly as the ball is blown up. she starts out hitting it perfectly, belly being surprised. “do you play, y/n?”
“i did a few years ago, but got sick and had to quit,” y/n tells her. sadly having to miss the next few years of her sport.
“oh, y/n, i’m sorry,” belly begins.
“don’t be, really,” y/n says, a polite smile on her face, making belly feel better. “i’m ready now to kick their ass, so c’mon!”
belly grins back at her, serving the ball over to the guys and hitting it back to y/n. when she hits it over to belly, conrad looks at her sweet smile on her face again, blessing conrad’s eyes. he’s so focused on how beautiful she is, and he wants to just worship her. he was so fixated on her that he completely missed the ball coming his way, letting it fall into the pool.
“ah! conrad-“ jeremiah says through gritted teeth, shaking his hands at him. y/n laughs softly before moving to the edge of the pool. the slight fatigue and dizziness made her want to get out to just sit for a few minutes. of course, it didn’t take conrad to notice her absence and her walking out of the pool with a clear grimace.
“y/n, you ok?” he asks, voice full of concern.
“yeah, i’m good,” she says, locking eyes with susannah and laurel. susannah gets up, ready to offer y/n anything she might need. conrad swims to the edge of the pool, pulling himself out and walking toward y/n. susannah brings over a cold bottle of water for y/n.
she sits for a few minutes, consuming the drink susannah gave her and feeling better. she must have been dehydrated, forgetting to drink more water while she was hanging out with everyone. “how are you feeling?” conrad asks.
“i’m fine, now,” y/n smiles up at him. “i just hadn’t drank enough water, that’s all.” conrad pulls up a chair next to her, watching the rest of them play around in the pool.
“does it get scary sometimes? sorry, i know that’s a weird question but-“
“no such thing as a weird question. but, i mean it’s all scary. any small symptom could be related to the cancer i had. it gets easier though, it gets less and less scary the more time goes on.”
“it sucks you had to go through that.”
“yeah, it does. i wouldn’t wish it on anyone, but i can’t change it. i just don’t want the rest of my life being dictated by it.”
it’s almost difficult for conrad to comprehend how someone can be so bright about things. he’s infatuated by the way she views the world around her. he wishes he could be more like her, wanting to see things in a different light like she was forced to at such a young age. conrad knows she’s someone to be loved, and he knows she needs it. he knows he could be the one to do it.
“you’re a really great person, y/n,” he mumbles out, y/n being able to catch every word.
“you’re a great person, too,” she tells him. “you didn’t have to come over here and waste time with me, but you made sure i was ok.”
“times never wasted with you,” he smirks, looking back at y/n who takes another sip of her water. “what are you doing tomorrow?”
“nothing, that i know of.”
“we should go do something, we can go to the boardwalk if you want.”
“i’d really like that,” y/n beams, giving conrad just more satisfaction. when susannah walks by, she taps conrad on the shoulder and kisses him on the cheek.
“you’re a good boy, connie,” she says, fully proud and praising her kind-hearted son.

jeremiah fisher
"Baby, you sure you’re feeling alright?" I questioned Y/N. She looked pale and just not like herself.
She gave me a look, one signaling to stop asking her. I’d been asking her on the car ride over and at home. The past few days she’s been feeling tired and nauseous. The thing about Y/N is that she’ll tough out any sickness because she hated worrying me.
"Jere, I’m fine. I told you, I just think the dinner from the other night was a little old. That’s all." she stated blankly, giving me a half reassuring smile. I sighed, rubbing the top of her hand before nodding my head.
I was determined to find out what’s wrong. But maybe she’ll feel better after seeing Belly, that was her best friend. Girls time always made her feel better.
We were at Belly’s 21st, and everyone was here. It was nice to be around the gang again, especially because it was here in Cousin’s. Me and Y/N moved to our own place at the beginning of the year and haven’t had a chance to come down till now. This was nice.
"I’m going to grab a beer, do you want anything? Even a water?" I asked, my voice raised over the blaring music. Y/N smiled before responding, "Just water."
I nodded, as I walked over to the cooler. By the time I had arrived back into the living room, I had seen Belly and Y/N sitting on the couch. She was beaming, but still looked off. Maybe she just needed some space, it wouldn’t hurt to catch up with Con and Steven anyway.
I walked over and handed Y/N the bottle of water as I rubbed her shoulder. She gave me a smile and mouthed a “thank you”.
I leaned down to her ear, "I’m gonna find the guys. Just text me if you need anything."
She nodded and gave me a quick peck before settling back unto her conversation with Belly. I quickly greeted Belly as I walked off to find the guys. I just hoped Y/N was okay.
y/n
I had been talking to Belly for all of 5 minutes after Jeremiah left before I felt the need to throw up. I had done that quite a few times lately.
Quickly, I barged into the bathroom closest to us, emptying myself over the toilet. Tears brimmed my eyes, and exhaustion took over me quickly. I hated this, that seafood from our dinner a few days ago was probably expired for months.
I felt a hand rub at the smalls of my back. Turning, I was surprised to be met with Belly, who gave me a small smile. I grabbed toilet paper to wipe the sides of my mouth and flushed. I sat and turned towards her as she handed me my water bottle.
"Dude, are you okay?" she asked, cocking her eyebrow at me. I looked at her and then at the open door behind her. She quickly got up and locked it, kneeling back down in front of me.
Belly was my best friend, practically since birth. My mom, Susannah, and Laurel had all gone to the same college and raised all of us like one big family. If there’s one person I knew I would have trouble lying to, it was the beautiful birthday girl in front of me. I felt bad, she was here in her cute lavender dress and should be out there enjoying herself.
"It’s nothing, probably food poisoning," I said, closing my eyes as I took a small swig of water. Belly placed her hand gently on my kneecap. I opened my eyes to meet her serious ones.
"Y/N, you don’t have to lie to me. And don’t feel bad either. I just want to make sure my best friend is okay. You’ve been throwing up for almost a week. What’s going on?" she questioned seriously. I took a deep breath.
"I’m late on my period. And the sickness has been constant. I haven’t tested though, mainly because I’m scared. I don’t know how ready me and Jere are for a baby, that’s just kind of a lot for me right now," I explained, my eyes watering at the thought. The hormones were definitely out of control.
"Y/N! Oh my God, you have to test! Why are you even doubting anything, Jere has been madly in love with you since he was like 7. You need to find out and tell him, that’s the right thing to do!" Belly exclaimed, holding my hand.
"I know, but-" I started, but Belly quickly cut me off by standing up and rummaging through the sink cabinets. She pulled out a box.
Quickly, I realized what it was and gave her a look.
"I use it for scares with Conrad. But you have to take one, and I’ll be here with you. I know you’re scared, but you have to know. Plus, Jere will only buy your water excuse for another hour before he wonders why you won’t toast shots with us." she explained, handing over the pink and white box.
I rolled my eyes and rubbed my temples. Was I really about to do this? Fuck.
"Fine. I’ll test. Turn around." I stated, earning a wide smile from Belly.
Belly quickly turned around as I pulled a stick from the box, unwrapping it and hovering over it on the toilet. I peed quickly and put the cap over it, turning it face down onto the counter as I cleaned up.
"Can I turn around now?" Belly whined, her arms crossed. I flattened my dress out, "Yeah, go ahead. I turned it face down, we can check in three."
She turned around and gave me a big hug. I exhaled deeply into the hug, worried about what this would mean for my relationship with Jere. I didn’t want to start thinking until I saw the test, but it was hard not to.
Me and Belly sat in the bathroom in silence. I fiddled with my fingers as she would occasionally look over and scroll through her phone. Her timer went off and suddenly, panic filled my body.
"It’s time," she whispered, starting to get up from the side of the tub. I took a deep breath as she waited for me to get up. I couldn’t believe this.
I felt like I was going in slow motion, but eventually made it to the counter. I closed my eyes and reached for the test. Belly waited impatiently, but stayed quiet throughout.
I finally felt the test flip over in my hand. I opened my eyes and couldn’t believe what I was looking at. Tears welled in my eyes and I suddenly couldn’t hold it together anymore.
Positive. I’m pregnant.
I slid down the wall with the test in my hands and sobbed into my knees. Belly knelt down in front of me and pulled me in, rubbing my back as I breathed heavily into my cries.
"Y/N, it’s going to be okay, I promise." she comforted, but all I could do was continue crying. I sat there, in shock and a mess. My makeup was definitely fucked up now, and I knew I couldn’t hide it from Jeremiah. I couldn’t lie much longer, especially now that Belly knew. Jere had every right to know.
"I have to tell him," I sniffled, dabbing under my eyes with the toilet paper. Belly smiled softly and nodded.
"Want me to get him?" Belly questioned. I thought about it, and ultimately decided I was way too embarrassed to walk out there looking like a mess, especially since I wasn’t too sure who I’d be running into. I nodded in response, resulting in Belly to leave with her phone and close the bathroom door.
I felt choked up, this felt like a dream. I wasn’t sure how to feel, other than the fact that I was worried about every outcome possible. Would he be upset? Would he leave? Would I have to raise this kid all by myself?
My thoughts were quickly interrupted with a soft knock at the door. I wiped my tears once more and tried my best to pull myself together. This was it. God help me.
I ooened the door to face a worried Jere.
"Y/N Belly told me to- what’s wrong? What happened?" he questioned worriedly as he saw my face. His hands immediately dropped into mine as he pushed us into the bathroom. He locked the door behind him as he sat me on the tub. I assumed Belly was giving us space, hence why she didn’t show up with him.
I fiddled with my dress pocket, twisting the test between my fingers. I took a deep breath as I looked at him, tears slowly dropping. He was everything to me, and the idea of this test changing everything for us made me sick. I couldn’t lose him, I didn’t want to.
"Jere, I’m so sorry," I whispered, as I silently cried again. He was kneeling in front of me as he pulled me into his chest and rubbed my back.
"Y/N, there’s nothing to be sorry for. What’s going on? I’m worried about you," he stated as he pulled away, gently rubbing my sides as he looked at me cluelessly. I knew I couldn’t drag it out.
I pulled the test out of my pocked and handed it to him, saying, "Jeremiah, I’m pregnant."
I looked at him for what felt like ages. He looked at the test quietly, as shock filled his expression. I couldn’t help but cry again, feeling like I’d absolutely lost him.
Surprisingly, he engulfed me into a deep, passionate kiss. I kissed back, shock settling into my body. He pulled away with the biggest smile on his face, rubbing my cheeks.
"Y/N, this is the best fucking news ever." he said, chuckling as he took both my hands. I had stopped crying and just looked at him.
Stuttering, I finally managed a "I-it is?"
He nodded, his smile growing bigger. In turn, it made me smile. I looked at him as he squeezed my hands.
"We’re gonna be parents. I’m gonna be a dad. Holy fuck Y/N!" he exclaimed as he got up, still holding my hands. I got up from the tub, a small giggle escaping my mouth.
"I was so scared you’d leave." I blurted, leaning my head against his chest. It was warm and felt like home. It was everything I’d ever want it to be.
"Baby, I would never leave you. Not in a million fucking years. Please don’t ever think that. I want to do everything in life with you, no matter what it is. You don’t have to be scared, because I’m right here with you." he said, cupping my cheek and bringing my chin up to face him. I smiled as he leaned in.
We kissed again, this time, it felt different. More meaningful. I was going to raise our first child with him. I couldn’t help but feel all sorts of excitement.
We pulled apart, as I melted into his arms again. "I love you so fucking much Y/N," he said.
I smiled as I looked at him. "Well, we love you more." I responded, looking down at my stomach as he laid his hand gently on top of it.
He gave me a forehead kiss as he rubbed my stomach softly and knelt down to give it a kiss. He was adorable.
"Want to get back to the party? Or we could go home, whatever you want, my love." he offered. I shook my head.
"Let’s stay a bit, then we can tell everyone another time this week." I suggested, earning a nod from Jeremiah.
As we exited the bathroom, we did just that. We stayed long enough to see Belly blow out her candles. I suddenly felt tired and nauseous and called it quits, so we went back home to our apartment.
We told our families and prepared over the next few months for our baby’s arrival. Everyone was extremely excited. We chose not to find out the gender till birth, and I’m so glad we did.
Elliana Susannah Fisher was born on February 20th at 1:24pm. She was perfect in every way, and had every feature of mine and Jere’s that made us fall in love with the parts we were most insecure about. Jeremiah also made the perfect girl dad, spending every minute he could with her. I was in love with our family, every single part about it.

summary: it was your first date with cameron. you two were actually classmates in elementary school. cameron ended up asking you out on a date after finding you on the Cousins beach during a party.
warnings: none, just loads of fluff
You were in Belly's room at Cousins, getting ready for your date that was in like 30 minutes. Cam was actually going to pick you up in a few. You were panicking and asking Belly what you should wear, her helping you with it and giving you a closet full of options you can pick from.
"I don't know what to wear Belly- I'm not even sure what we're doing for the date! What if we're bowling and I wear a dress? What if we're having a dinner and I wear what shorts?!" You asked as you had finished your makeup but not your outfit.
Belly was laughing as Steven walked in while you were thankfully still in your t-shirt and sleep shorts. "Steven get out!" You and Belly said at the same time, Belly covering you with her body as if you were naked but thankfully you weren't.
"Okay okay chill- there's this car outside on our driveway?" Steven asked as you tilted your body so that your face was showing behind Belly.
"Huh?" You said before looking out Belly's window and seeing that Cam was there. You almost did a double take before you closed the curtain when Cameron looked up from his steering wheel as you turned your back against the window.
"Oh my gosh. He's already here. He said he was gonna be here in 30 minutes?!" You yelled as Steven was pushed out of Belly's room.
"Yeah that's Y/n's date okay? So get out Steven we're getting her ready!" Belly said as Steven was trying so hard not to get out, holding on the doorframe of Belly's door before Belly successfully shut her door and locked it.
"Wait what Y/n has a date- wait I can help!" Steven was yelling as he was being escorted out. More like kicked out. Belly sighed as she smiled at your panicking state.
"I know exactly what you can wear." Belly smiled as she grabbed a skirt that Taylor gave her and a cami top. She also gave you a pair of sneakers. It was better to be simple especially since it was hot.
"Do you think he'd like this?" You asked as Belly nodded. "of course he will! Weren't you guys like pretend married in elementary school? He doesn't care what his elementary school wife is wearing." Belly teased as you chuckled.
"You're right..it's Cam after all." You said as you slipped into what Belly gave you. As you looked at yourself in the body mirror, you smiled at yourself. Belly was behind you, holding your shoulders gently as she shook you around gently.
"You look amazing Y/n. Let's go." You nodded as you grabbed your phone and hugged Belly. You were thankful to have a best friend like her. It was like you had a non-blood related sister. Thankfully your mom was close friends with Susannah and Laurel ever since college.
You started walking down the stairs, seeing Cam texted you after checking your phone for quite awhile. He was wondering if you were already ready a few minutes ago. You put on your shoes before nodding at Belly.
"Good luck. Tell us how it goes later." Belly teased as you opened the door and chuckled quietly. "Will do!" You said before closing the door behind you after you said goodbye to Belly, and it seems Steven too since he was sitting on the couch with the Fisher boys.
As you were walking out of the house, you felt your body do a small nervous shiver. You didn't know why you were nervous but it was probably because of the first time you saw Cam again.
You didn't imagine him to grow into such a handsome boy. Who made your heart still skip a beat. Not like it was in elementary school but how it was now. You held your hand to your chest gently before smiling softly as he saw you walking out of the Cousin's house.
You waved at him excitedly before running up to the car. Cam saw that you were running towards the car as he quickly took his seatbelt off and got out of the driver's seat.
"Hey sorry I ended up coming earlier. I saw you pop up on the window." Cam said pointing to the window where Belly was watching from. You looked up and made a silly face at Belly, as if telling her to hide away.
Belly caught on and you could imagine Belly's laugh as she closed the curtains quickly. You looked back at Cam and shook your head.
"Don't apologize Cam, I'm glad you're here early anyway." You reassured as Cameron sighed in relief and nodded.
"Well let's go?" You said as Cam nodded, "Yeah no time to waste." Cam said and before you could open your door for yourself, it was locked. You blinked as Cam put his hand on the door and unlocked it.
"Hey! You locked your doors last second didnt you?" You chuckled as Cam looked around awkwardly before giving a goofy smile. "Maybe?" Cam chuckled as he opened the door for you.
He didn't want you to open your own door. As independent woman as you were, Mr. Cam Cameron over here wanted to treat you like a princess. You thanked him for opening the door for you even if it wasn't necessary. It did make you blush.
You buckled your seatbelt as Cam got into his seat and started the car. You and him started to pull out of the driveway as he looked over at you for a second before looking away and smiling.
You smiled as you kept your hands on your lap. You wanted to hold his hand already but knew you should wait and not do that just yet. Cam started to drive. Honestly you didn't know what your first location would be.
"So, what are we going to do first?" You asked as Cam was focused on the road. He had a bewildered look which made you think that he didn't know what he wanted to do with you today.
You and him had just saw each other yesterday again after all and gotten each other's numbers and you don't know how much one another had changed.
"I'm not sure what should we do?" Cam asked awkwardly as you were also feeling a bit awkward yourself since you didn't want to do anything that he didn't. You played with your hands before something popped up in your mind.
"Well why don't we go to the boardwalk? There's this ice cream cart that I always go to with Jere, Connie, Belly and Steven every summer I've been here in Cousins." I smiled as Cam gasped as if overreacting in a good way.
"Then that's our first stop." Cam said as he started making his way to the boardwalk parking. You smiled as you looked out the window. You had your hands out of your lap now, but most of the car ride was full of silence with the music that Cam was playing on the radio. You could feel the awkwardness but tried not to let it get to you too much.
Before you knew it, that silence was gone in a matter of minutes because you made it to the docs. Everything was so close by after all which was nice. Cam found a parking spot and soon turned off the car. He looked over to you.
"Are you ready?" Cam asked as you quickly looked at him since you were looking away, "Oh! yeah yeah I'm ready!" You smiled as you took your seatbelt off and stepped out of the car. You were lost in your thoughts since you didn't know how to make this the perfect date.
This was kind of your first date after all. You didn't like anyone else really after Cam and you separated in middle school. Cam locked his car and held his hand out to you.
You looked down at his hand before you smiled up at him and took his hand gently. Your fingers intertwined with one another's.
"Well..I grabbed your hand because I was supposed to lead the way but then I realized that I don't really know where to go-" Cam said which made you giggle because of his silliness. You nodded.
"Well then I guess I'm the lead now, Mr. opened my door for me and thank you." You teased as Cam seemed to laugh quietly as you led the way.
You two were basically teasing and flirting with each other at the same time. He was holding your hand just like he did in elementary school and you loved it. It made your heart skip a beat somewhat and it felt so nice.
Though there was still some awkwardness between you two, it was common since it was your first date.
You led Cam to the ice cream cart that was on the boardwalk. It was always sunny on the Cousins beach, and you were glad for that because it was beautiful and felt nice getting all of that vitamin D.
You spotted the ice cream cart and grinned as you pointed it out to Cam, showing it off and giving it all the glory that it needs. Cam nodded in approval before heading over to the ice cream cart with you.
Cam and you ended up getting a banana split together and you showed it off to Cam, but it seemed that he didn't want to share.
"Huh? You sure? It'll be nicer if we shared it," You suggested. Cam seemed to think about it for a bit before shaking his head.
"You should have it for yourself. I can get myself one," Cam said before getting himself one. You blinked and didn't think too much about it for now, thinking that Cam was too shy about sharing a banana split with you.
Thankfully there were some metal chairs on the boardwalk, and you both took the chance to sit with each other. Cam let go of your hand as you two put your banana splits on the little metal table as well.
As you two sat there, you chatted and started to catch up on one another's life.
"It felt nice seeing you on that beach again." You said as you took a bite. Cam agreed as he had a smile on his lips as he stared at you. You smiled back.
"I don't usually like going to those parties if I'm being honest," Cam said in a soft spoken manner. "I don't drink but I know so many people there that I was basically-"
"Peer pressured." You said as you laughed softly at Cam's reaction since you finished his sentence for him. "That's okay, you don't need to drink, same here with me. Who cares if you don't drink? Doesn't make you any less cool." You said.
Cam seemed to take note of that in a good way. He was actually taken aback that you didn't drink since most of the teens in Cousins during late night parties like those on the beach wouldn't hesitate to underage drink.
You laughed softly when Cam just took some more of his banana split, not minding of how shy he was being around you.
"I've only ever talked to my mom's friend's sons and daughter whenever I come down here every summer." You mentioned.
"That's a real tongue twister- mom's friend's sons and daughter." Cam repeated teasingly as you laughed when Cam did. It felt so simple to talk to Cam in the sun.
You missed having other friends outside of the Cousin's house. Though you wouldn't say that you could have it any other way, you were just glad that you encountered someone you hadn't seen in so long.
"There's so much to catch up on definitely," Cam said. "We just need to figure out where to start." Cam said but as soon as we could start on a new topic, You and him finished the banana splits you had.
Cam and you threw away the containers in the trash before you grabbed his hand. He seemed a bit more tense since you were in a public area. Cam still reciprocated your hold and held your hand back.
"I'm actually remembering something right now." Cam said as he swung your arm with his as you two walked. "There was a haiku you did and it was silly," Cam said as your mouth went agape.
"How do you even remember that-" "I'm not sure but I just remember when you cried about it to me. When was it..oh 6th grade." You frowned as Cam shook his head.
"What- what don't look at me like that" Cam said quickly as you grabbed Cam's ear gently, wiggling it around. Cam squirmed a bit as he tried to get you to let go but you were making him laugh.
Cam's laugh always made your heart melt. Even in elementary school but it seemed that he was doing the exact same thing to you right now.
"You remember some of the smallest things about me." You whispered as you let go of his ear after apologizing for pulling and tugging on it for so long. You felt your heart seem to ache at that thought.
You were friends with all of the family friends but still even if you got close to them, you never felt a romantic attachment to any of them. You realized now just how much Cam had impacted your life just as much as they did.
Cam nodded. "Of course I do," Cam said. "i've been working on this new boat..and I remember in elementary school just how much I liked talking about sea animals a lot."
"Especially whales," You laughed as the two of you stopped. You had your elbows propped up as you stared at the beach, kids, family members and friends out there having fun.
"I remember a lot about elementary school," Cam joined you as your shoulders were touching as the two of you talked. Simple days like these were enough for you.
"I think it's mainly because of you. I met you at a really young age and when I couldn't find you again, well that made me sad," Cam said with a hint of a small joking tone.
Your eyes softened as you thought back to elementary. You two were always partners that it was hard to separate the two of you sometimes. The teachers you had together would always find a way to get you partner with someone else.
"Remember when the teachers started getting tired of us always finding a way to always be next to each other?" You said as you pointed up as if more ideas were flooding into your mind.
Cam's mouth opened as he nodded with an obvious smile building up. "Yeah it was hard though to separate us." Cam said as he did the same thing you were doing, looking back and forth before actually pointing his finger up the same way you did.
"Are you copying me right now Cam Cameron?" You teased as you poked the finger that he was pointing up with yours.
"Hey only Jeremiah calls me Cam Cameron- how did you hear about that?" Cam asked as you looked like you were thinking for a short while before coming up with an answer.
"Well I live with them, and you're wrong Jeremiah calls you that but everyone else in the house calls you that too." You stated as Cam seemed to playfully nudge you gently. You leaned in and chuckled.
You two were close enough to one another to see how long his eye lashes were up close. You were laughing and smiling but then that seemed to die down when Cam caught on to how close you two were.
Inches apart it seemed. You looked at Cam as you were leaning on the edge. Now public affection wasn't your thing but of course holding hands was okay.
Cam stared into your eyes as you stared at his. The day was just starting and it seemed that the two of you already wanted to kiss. This wasn't the same as elementary school, no definitely not.
You saw all of the attractive parts of Cam. The handsomeness, the kindness and consideration. The awkwardness and nerdiness he had as a future marine biologist.
You saw how easy it was to talk to him. How easy he caught on to your body language as if none of you never separated for a few years in the first place.
"Is it too fast?" You asked yourself but didn't mean to ask it out loud.
"What is?" Cam asked softly, as if asking you and only you. No one else was meant to hear it. Just you. You blinked when he responded to your question before you covered your mouth immediately.
"Did I say that out loud?" You asked Cam as he nodded. You blushed deeply, wondering what else you said out loud.
"What is?" Cam asked again, persistent and wanting an answer. You could feel your heart and chest seeming to tighten at the same time. Wanting to answer his question like it was easy for you to do but it wasn't.
You looked around before Cam grabbed your cheek gently. You knew that you shouldn't be worried about seeing anyone you knew in public. You wondered why the world seemed to get smaller.
It was just you two. Cam wanted you to look at him. Cam wasn't hesitant of touching you because he knew he could comfortable around you. Knowing that around everyone else he was known as the awkward boy who didn't have a girlfriend. Let alone ever had one.
You slowly looked back at Cam as you stood up straight. He still had his hand on your cheek as he stared down at you. He was somewhat taller than you after all. You were short and easy to miss sometimes.
You gulped gently, as if not ready to say the words that were going to come out of your mouth but you closed your eyes before opening them 5 seconds after.
"Is it too fast? To kiss you right now?" You asked before rambling on about everything in your mind. "I haven't liked anyone else other than you and when I saw you again- gosh your timing is too perfect for some reason." You pulled away from Cam as you started pacing around, explaining everything to him.
"You just appeared out of nowhere and all I remember is you in elementary school but then again remembering how I wanted to talk to you even past elementary but we didn't have any phones because we were what like 10? I'm not sure-" You continued to ramble as you played with your hands.
"But why is it so easy to talk to you-" "Y/N-" "It's just like we never even left each other for a few years and then suddenly appeared in front of each other it's like we've known each other our whole life but I know that isn't true there's so much more,"
"Y/N" Cam called out gently as he held your hand. You looked at him, stopping your pacing as you calmed down from you rambling high.
Cam loosely held your hand as you looked down, feeling a bit ashamed and embarrassed because you had rambled and didn't catch yourself until now.
"We seem to talk about the same thing over and over again." You whispered as you held Cam's hand gently back, intertwining your fingers together.
"The Cam I know from elementary never changed." You said as you looked up at him, his facial expression obviously showing that he felt the same way you did.
"But I want to know the Cam from now too. The guy known as Cam Cameron. The guy who now goes to parties? The guy who makes friends now and is somewhat popular." You said, laughing in between because of how happy you felt saying all of that.
Cam seemed to laugh too shyly as he nodded along with everything that you were saying. He was listening to all of it. Listening to the way you talked about him in front of him.
"I wanna know everything about you that's why I asked if it was too fast." You said as Cam leaned his forehead gently on yours. You continued to talk though as you focused on him.
"I want to," "I get it Y/N" Cam whispered gently as he still stared at you even with your eyes closed, having you so relaxed. He held your waist gently but shyly.
You opened your eyes as his eyes were now the ones that were closed. "You do?" You asked unsurely, because you weren't sure if all you were saying was too much. Especially when you saw each other just yesterday.
"Of course," Cam said before making a 'psssh' noise. "I get you the way you get me. You were my elementary wife. Still could be." Cam said which made you shake your head.
"No no Belly mentioned that to me while I was getting ready this morning- we played pretend too much!" You said, as Cam tried his hardest to hold back his laugh.
"Is it okay?" Cam asked as he cupped your cheeks slowly, moving his hands away from your waist, holding your face gently. You were wondering what he meant as your eyebrows seemed to show that you were confused.
Cam caught on quickly. "I don't want to say it- I think-" Cam said before putting his finger on his lip, as if showing that he wanted to kiss you.
You looked at his lips before your eyes widened in embarrassment. Again, awkwardness but in a cute way. "Yes! Yes of course! Why didn't you just ask!" You said as you held onto his shirt.
"I couldn't just ask- I was waiting for you to ask," Cam said as he felt his body shiver because all of his nerves were hitting him. You giggled gently.
Cam wasted no time though and kissed you. His lips were placed onto yours gently, the same with yours. Cam pulled away gently, his eyes opening as they hit yours as well.
You nudged your nose onto Cam's gently, a soft smile on your lips. Without having to ask, Cam initiated the deeper kiss, cupping your cheeks a bit harder because he wanted to be closer to you.
You were on your tip toes by now as he was kissing you sensationally, seeing the obvious excitement in his kiss with you. Cam's hands gently went down to your waist as he kissed you before he pulled away due to you pulling away first.
You looked around and saw people were staring at you and obviously rooting for you two. You started to freak out as you quickly grabbed Cam's hand.
"Huh? Whoa-!" Cam yelled as you were scurrying away with him, going down to the beach since you were too shy to kiss him in front of people who were obviously watching. You found a log as you sat on it quickly and looked up at Cam.
Cam sat next to you on the log and moved your hair behind your ear. "You could've told me too-" Cam said, talking about them running away since people were watching.
"People were watching- it's like they were telling us to get a room without saying anything obviously." You said, rambling again as Cam chuckled.
"This is more like a beach than it is a room though." Cam said which made you nudge him gently at his comment. As if saying, 'Duh.'
Cam took off his jacket and gently put it on you, not having your arms go through the arm holes. Cam pulled you in gently by his jacket being around you.
He kissed you again gently, as you had your hands on his chest, feeling his heart was beating just as fast as yours. That small jester of him pulling you in by his jacket on you made your heart skip a beat.
Cam was kissing you. Your childhood friend that was reunited with you. Cam pulled away slowly after. You were warm now. You two had just shared a couple of kisses but you wanted to kiss him more.
You leaned against his chest as he let go of the jacket and hugged you tightly, his chin being on your head. He closed his eyes as you closed yours as well.
"Was there anything else you wanted to do today?" Cam said. "We see each other for not even 2 hours today and we kissed." Cam teased with an obvious smile on his face.
You hid your face in his chest as you gently punched him happily. "Well maybe we can go to the arcade?" You asked as you looked up at him, popping out from his chest.
Cam stared down at you and smiled. "Sounds like a plan."

ONE SHOT !
summary : conrad giving affection to his girlfriend that is touch deprived.
requested by : anonymous

You and Conrad have been together for a year or two now. You were the type to not really show your affection through actions but through words. Maybe because you didn’t really got enough physical affection when you were a kid so you weren’t used to getting it.
Let’s just say that you didn’t know how to recieve it all. One of Conrad’s love language is physical touch so it really made you feel awful to not give him the affection that he needs because you just couldn’t give it, you didn’t know how to but Conrad understood it. Both of you had a talk about it and Conrad understood your side. He tries to give you affection but he still respect your bounderies.
───────────────────────────
“Hey baby” Conrad greeted waving at you. He walked towards you pulling you for a hug, you did hug him back — melting instantly, but soon pulled away.
Conrad felt it, a smile appearing on his face. “How was your day?” he asked, you smiled before replying “It was okay” you shrugged. His brows furrowed, noticing that something was wrong.
He went closer to you, placing a hand on your thigh, making sure that you were comfortable about it, you nodded, “Something wrong?” he asked, concered. You shrugged, not looking at him, brows furrowed. “Hey hey, tell me what’s wrong, baby.” he said, moving closer to you, pulling you in closer. He wrapped his arms around you gently, making sure you were comfortable.
You flinched a little bit but soon melted into his arms, making Conrad smile. “Tell me, what’s happening hm?” Conrad hummed, rubbing you arm. You shook your head no, closing your eyes. Conrad placed a kiss on your forehead.
You sighed, pulling away from him gently, “Am I not giving you enough affection?” you asked, frowning. “Hey, why would you think of that?” Conrad asked, pulling you a little closer to him. His voice concerned, confused about what would made you think like this.
You shrugged, “I don’t know, I just feel like you’re the only one who is only affectionate, like.. like this” you said, looking down. You felt Conrad lift your chin, “Baby, you know I’m okay with everything right? as long as you are here with me, that’s more than enough. Whatever makes you comfortable then I am okay with it.” Conrad reassured you, smiling at you.
You looked at him, frowning — making him chuckle because of your cuteness. “Oh my love, what’s wrong now?” Conrad said smiling. “I don’t know, I just want to hug you and touch you and all of that, I just don’t know how to” you whispered, scared.
Conrad narrowed his eyes, pretending to not hear what you just said, he tilted his head, “I can’t hear you, baby. Speak up please?” he asked, trying his best to keep his smile in. You crossed your arms before looking at him, “Can.. can I hug you? is it okay if I just you know.. suddenly hug you and do the first move?” you asked, shyly. Conrad giggled.
“Of course, sweetheart. You can hug me whenever you like, you know that right? I would love it if you make the first move, I would absolutely love it.” he said, smiling big. You moved closer to him, leaning on him hugging his arm. He pulled away, making you furrow your brows. He pulled you in again, wrapping an arm beside you, guiding you head on his chest, making you lean on it. He raked his hand through your hair, “God, you are precious. I absolutely love you” placing a kiss on your forehead. You smiled, “I love you too, Connie. So much” you said, before closing your eyes, listening to Conrad’s heartbeat.

August (Lockwood x reader)
A/N: inspired by the tsitp version of august (which you can listen to here on Spotify) but also works for the regular version of August too! Spoilers for the ending of the third book of the series! Angst, but not in a depressing way ish? Idk (wc: 1.3k) read the sequel here
The first few nights after were the hardest. The image of that Changer who took the shape of Lockwood with a hole blasted through his chest was burned into her retinas. The Changer had threatened her, or warned her, that it had been her doing, and it was only a matter of time before it actually happened. The guilt sat in her stomach for six days, cementing her to her bed, barely coming down to eat or drink, but on the sixth day she was as well as she could be. She didn’t have a renewed sense of vigour or sudden clarity in her life’s purpose, but she had something that occupied her well enough.
The four them were going for a small trip to the seaside where they had rented a cosy house by the beach, for a little break after one of the toughest cases they had in a while. Lucy was still feeling loopy from the Poltergeist and George had been a little quieter than usual. Lockwood…she couldn’t bring herself to look at him, or think too long about him, before slipping into despair. If Lockwood had noticed her distance from him, he showed no sign of it, not that she would have noticed. Except for the fact that even in times like now, she couldn’t help but notice every little detail about him. Whatever it was, a bit of fresh air was exactly what they needed to lift their spirits, so she decided to wait until the end of their trip to tell them.
And so they left for their weekend getaway. The air was pleasantly balmy and the warmth melted the last vestiges of cold trapped in their bones. It was so peaceful, and bright, with a sea of possibility stretched out ahead of them. For the next day-and-a-half, she ate, drank, swam and laughed just as hard as the rest of them. There was no reason to dampen their spirits just yet. Maybe she wouldn’t even have to tell them.
Of all their games and activities her favourite by far was just sitting on the beach, watching the foamy waves roll in. She could feel the freedom in the best of the seagulls wings, who called out to her, urging her toward a realm of possibilities. The sand playfully shifted around her ankles when she dug her feet in deep enough, and the wind whipped her hair with a salty sting, pushing her, propelling her, towards the rest of her life. And during sunset, an intense orange glow outlined all the cracks and crevices in them and the house, a light almost bright enough to consider life outside of Lockwood & co. That’s where Lockwood found her on Sunday evening, the night before they were supposed to leave. Lucy had somehow managed to scatter all her belongings throughout the house and George was making an upside-down pineapple cake. When she left, Lockwood had been uncharacteristically engrossed in some case report. They hadn’t talked much since Lockwood had pulled her to safety, seconds before certain death, and though she knew it was impossible for him to have seen what she did, a part of her felt embarrassed, or clumsy, to have been so careless.
The wind was quite loud in her ears, so she hadn’t noticed him until he sat down beside her. Besides his coat, most of Lockwood’s normal attire apparently doubled as beach-wear, as long as his sleeves and trousers were rolled up. She unsuccessfully tried to stand up, panickedly scrabbling at the mound she had absent-mindedly packed onto her feet, but it was too late. She awkwardly clasped her hands around her shins, staring straight into the gentle sea lapping at the shore, listening to Lockwood breathe just a tiny bit more agitated than normal.
“Hey.”
“Hi.” In her nervousness, her voice had become a little too high pitched, but she hoped the wind has swallowed up most of it anyway.
“Did you have fun?”
Did she have fun? Maybe it was the shadow of what she was about to do looming over her, but everything had somehow felt extra funny in this trip. They played Charades until they laughed themselves blue in the face, ate so many biscuits until it was too much of an effort to trudge back to the house after their picnics, and fell over each other laughing as they watched George insistently yank at the front door that was mostly rusted shut. Even as she looked at Lockwood now, eyelashes bleached by the fading daylight, she felt a peace that had nothing to do with the sea, wind, or seagulls. It was the feeling of having so little, and yet having everything she could ever dream of needing.
But she couldn’t say all that. “Yeah. Nice change of scenery.”
He smiled, and her heart thumped crazily. It was so easy to get swept up in the grim of things and forget how young she was, with her whole life ahead of her to have all these firsts - first butterflies, first crush, first love, or even just the first delusion of being in love. Before the Poltergeist, she even remembered this one quiet night in, when she was lying on her bed with her legs up the wall, staring at the ceiling and seeing all these images of Lockwood, and it wasn’t until much later that she remembered they weren’t actually anything more than friends. It just felt so natural, so easy to want and to want him, the curve of his shoulders, the curve of his face… And she only felt that way with Lockwood. He made her feel giggly and as warm as the beach, and maybe it was unprofessional, irrational and irresponsible, but he brought out the worst - and the best - of her. She would do anything for him, even if it meant breaking her heart. Even if it meant breaking his heart.
“I know you’re planning something. And I know it’s something big.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“You’ve been exhausted before, but not like this.”
“Like what?”
“Like your mind is somewhere else. Like you’re plotting. And I’m going to find out eventually, somehow.”
Her butterflies crumbled into nausea, and the hitch in her breath was anxious rather than coincidental. It was going so wrong so fast. She could feel her lips moving and hear the words coming out of them, but she wasn’t the one talking.
“Yeah, you’re right.”
“I know I am.”
“You will find out, eventually.”
“Exactly.”
“Like right now.”
“Like - what?”
“I’m leaving Lockwood & co.”
She didn’t expect herself to sound so calm, her tone to be so even. And from the looks of it, neither did Lockwood. Maybe replaying this instant for days in her head made her more prepared than she realised. Lockwood stared at the shore, unblinking, until she began to wonder if she had really even said it at all.
“Lockwood?”
But it was too late, and he was already up and swiftly walking back to their villa. She could only walk so fast, kicking the uncomfortable wet sand off her feet, her pleas for him to slow down or wait painfully hanging in the still air. He walked into the house and went straight to his room, closing the door shut while she stood helplessly in the doorway to the kitchen.
George was just finishing up the icing on his cake and Lucy was eating some of the leftover pineapple. She didn’t see the point in keeping it from them either. George was properly put off his cake and Lucy looked like she might cry.
The air in the house was too tense to have dinner that night, and so she went to bed after giving Lucy a quick hug. As she lay on her bed, she looked out the window through the reflection on her mirror, and watched the stars come up and go down. She and her packed bags had left before the sun came up.
She only lasted a summer.

"jeremiah needs a gf after book 3" JEREMIAH NEEDS A FRIEND. imagine the possibilities. they go on picnics. they cry together. him showing up on their doorstep crying after he talks to adam (or when he finds out conrad and belly are together/engaged). they're sad abt their s/o breaking up with them so he (platonically) takes them out on one of those super fancy dinner dates. they're his "date" to the b*nrad wedding. esp if it's a girl and belly gets all jealous and she gets to tell belly off (love my girl bells but bffr she needs it in book 3). they go to his intramural soccer games. they go to parties together. they dress up as a "couples" costume for halloween. they deny the dating rumors (bc are you really best friends if there aren't any?). just, the possibilities are endless

Could you do a conrad fisher x reader where he gets jealous of her and jeremiah friendship? and if you do smut then smut at the end but if not just fluff
Boy Friends : Conrad Fisher x Reader
(& Jeremiah Fisher x Platonic!Reader)
Description: 4.7k wc, Conrad gets jealous of his girlfriend and his brother’s friendship and y/n tries to fix it. Some angst-fluff/hurt-comfort. (there’s an OPTIONAL smut epilogue LINKED but know that part is 18+ only due to content)
Warnings: some hurt/angst/jealousy, relationships, etc. The linked epilogue is 18+ only!

Conrad sighed quietly as y/n’s giggle rang out from a few yards away. He watched as his brother Jeremiah chased after y/n as she ran along the shore. They’d all been hanging out along the pier when Jeremiah randomly claimed he could outrun y/n. Conrad watched as y/n immediately started running down the dock and onto the hot sand as soon as the statement left Jeremiah’s mouth.
Conrad was happy the girl he loved and his brother got along so well. However, he couldn’t help but feel a twinge of jealousy over their friendship. Jeremiah and y/n had been friends before she’d even met Conrad. In fact, Conrad met y/n through his younger brother. Which certainly did not help his feelings of jealousy.
Conrad trusted y/n, more than he trusted anyone else. Yet, he didn’t care for the way y/n’s friends would call Jeremiah her boy friend. Sure, they used the appropriate spacing between the words. But, it was still too close to the term boyfriend for Conrad’s liking.
Conrad knew y/n, Jeremiah, and her friends meant no harm by it. In fact, it was something Jeremiah had started when trying to scare some creep away from y/n at a frat party a few years back. Jeremiah had come up and interrupted the frat guys’ incessant small talk and introduced himself by saying, “I’m Jeremiah, y/n’s boy….friend”. When y/n questioned Jeremiah for calling himself her boyfriend, worried that their friendship would fall apart due to her not returning his feelings, he clarified that he’d said boy friend not boyfriend. Jeremiah had known that the guy would back off thinking he meant boyfriend and just unintentionally added the awkwardly long pause between the words. It worked, the guy left y/n alone after that. Since that night, the nickname just stuck.
Usually it didn’t bother Conrad that greatly. But today, he’d been witness to multiple incidents in which he felt Jeremiah was better at the role. Be it boy friend or even boyfriend. Between Jeremiah joking around until y/n laughed after she got into a fight via text with her best friend, Jeremiah picking out ridiculous clothes he dared y/n to buy, and now chasing her down the beach, Conrad was feeling like a third wheel. He felt bad for feeling like this, but it was out of his control.
Y/n leaned forward, her hands on her thighs as she tried to catch her breath. As she was gasping for air, her chest heaving, she felt arms wrap around her. Within seconds Jeremiah had flipped her body so she was now hanging upside down over his shoulder. Y/n squeaked quietly as she tried to get out of Jeremiah’s grip.
Y/n’s momentary shock turned into panic as she continued to still struggle to breathe. Being upside down, her abdomen pressed against Jeremiah’s shoulder blade, wasn’t helping her predicament. Y/n took short gasps before choked out, “Jere, stop,”.
Only, Jeremiah took it as a joke. He figured y/n’s shortness of breath was due to laughing too much, not from being unable to breathe. So, he shook his head and chuckled loudly as he marched back towards his brother. Jeremiah could barely see the panicked look cross Conrad’s face before his brother’s arms were on him. He barely had time to acknowledge the change in Conrad’s demeanor before he was feeling his brother peel y/n from his grip.
“Let her go Jere!” Conrad shouted, bending his brother’s fingers away from y/n’s legs. He ignored Jeremiah’s confused laughter and kept prying y/n from his brother’s hold. “I’m serious, fucking let her go!” Conrad exclaimed, his heart racing as he watched y/n weakly smack Jeremiah’s back.
“Okay, okay,” Jeremiah replied, shaking his head as he arched forwards.
The second Jeremiah was leaning down, y/n’s feet searched for the sand. She let out a loud sigh before taking in a giant gasp. Her lungs were burning, her eyes watery from the sensation. Y/n’s frantic eyes darted around until they found Conrad standing right by her. She’d kinda felt someone’s hands on her back, but she was so out of it that until she saw him, she didn’t even really notice it.
Y/N’s eyes lifted from where she saw Conrad’s Converse as they sank into the sand under them, and up to his face. The second she lifted her head enough to see his worried gaze, y/n all-but launched herself into his embrace. Y/n was still painfully sucking in more air, her hand now gripping the front of her boyfriend’s shirt.
Y/n could faintly make out Jeremiah’s apologetic tone as she focused on her breathing. She vaguely her him apologizing to her and Conrad for not knowing she wasn’t playing around. Y/n didn’t respond, instead letting Conrad handle the situation as he simultaneously rubbed her back soothingly.
Once y/n had regained her normal breathing rhythm, even though the air still burned in her lungs now, she sighed with relief. She gazed up at Conrad and offered him a cheek kiss in appreciation. When he looked down at her with such concern and love, y/n lifted her hand up and stroked his flushed cheek. “I’m okay now, Con,” she promised, wincing at how her weak voice made that sound untrue.
Conrad lifted a brow questioningly as he continued to watch y/n closely. But, as she nodded promisingly and took a visible deep breath, he settled. Conrad draped his arms carefully over her shoulders, being sure they were only touching y/n with a featherlight weight. He crooked his neck and placed a kiss to the top of y/n’s head, “good”.

The group was now settled back on the pier, quietly enjoying some ice-cream. Jeremiah had refused to stop apologizing until y/n suggested he could make up for it by buying them all some dessert. As such, they were now seated at a picnic table on the boardwalk, eating his apology.
Y/n sucked the melted ice-cream off her spoon as she watched her boyfriend closely. She noticed he seemed a bit off today; even before her windless breathing attack moments ago. She’d tried to bring it up earlier, but Conrad hadn’t really answered her. So as she took another spoonful of ice-cream from their shared dish, y/n kept staring at him; as if she stared long enough maybe she could read his mind through his beautiful cerulean eyes.
Jeremiah too had noticed something was bothering his older brother. But, he figured it was just one of Connie’s ‘moody moments’. As such, he hadn’t thought much of it until now. But, as Jeremiah watched y/n stare at Conrad and then look his way with a raised curious eyebrow, he decided enough was enough.
“Hey, uh,” Jeremiah said suddenly, his voice ending the peaceful silence surrounding their table. “I’m going to head back, keep the keys,” he said, digging the Jeep keys from his pocket and sliding them across the wooden slats towards his brother.
“Everything okay Jere?” Conrad asked, squinting at the car keys as they scratched against the panels on the picnic table. When he looked back up, he saw Jeremiah and y/n had seemingly exchanged a knowing look.
Jeremiah nodded, “yeah man”. He shrugged, picking up the bowl containing his remaining ice-cream. “Steven wanted to hang later, so I should get going,” Jeremiah explained. “Besides, gotta let the couple have some alone time,” he winked.
Conrad chuckled lightly as y/n smiled and shook her head before resting it on his shoulder. He nodded at his younger brother, “you walking then?”. Conrad quickly glanced towards the beach house, making sure it wasn’t too far. He smiled as Jeremiah nodded with a grin.
“Yep,” Jeremiah answered, tossing his ice-cream container in the trash bin beside them. “Well, I want hugs,” he said, holding his arms out expectantly. After both y/n and Conrad hugged him, Jeremiah smirked. “Alright, I best head out. I’m just the boy friend after all, now you gotta spend time with your boyfriend, y/n/n,” he playful instructed, making y/n laugh lightly.
Y/n waved goodbye to Jeremiah and then turned towards Conrad. Her smile fell off her face as she noticed Conrad’s smile had disappeared. She knew he was smiling right after hugging his brother, so what changed? Y/n took a calming breath as she set her hands on Conrad’s.
Conrad dropped his spoon back into the ice-cream dish when y/n had rested her hands over his. He looked up at her in confusion, only to frown when he saw her serous expression. Conrad wordlessly flipped his hands over so he could interlace their fingers. He shifted so he was straddling the picnic table bench so he was properly facing his girlfriend. Conrad watched y/n closely as he patiently waited for her to say whatever was on her mind.
“Connie,” y/n sighed, a pout pushing out her bottom lip. “Are…,” she huffed lightly before forcing on a tight and inauthentic smile, “are we okay?”. When y/n saw the wave of confusion cross her boyfriend’s face, a wave of relief hit her. “You’re not mad at me? Or, trying to avoid me?” She wondered quietly.
Conrad squeezed y/n’s hands tightly as he shook his head quickly. “No, no,” he gushed, “‘course not!” Conrad’s brows scrunched as he analyzed y/n’s eyes. “Wh-why would you think that, baby?”
Y/n let out an audible sigh before a slight smile graced her lips. “I dunno…” she shrugged, looking away from Conrad briefly, her eyes casting towards the ocean. “You just seemed off today,” y/n said, hearing Conrad’s subsequent sigh. “I mean… I know everyone has their days…” she clarified. “B-but… one second you were smiling that dashing smile you know I love and then the next second, when Jere mentioned me spending time with you, it was gone,” y/n pointed out cautiously.
Conrad sighed again as his thumbs rubbed the back of y/n’s hands. “It’s not you,” he promised, shaking his head. His guilt over feeling so envious had tripled now that he’d seen what it did to his girl. “I promise,” Conrad swore, moving his face closer to y/n’s. “I love spending time with you, baby,” he smiled, eyes flickering between y/n’s y/e/c eyes and her soft lips.
Y/n picked up on Conrad’s not-so-subtle gaze and smiled. She leaned forward, closing the distance between them until their lips met. Y/n felt Conrad’s hands tighten their hold on hers as he smiled into the kiss. When she pulled back, she slipped one hand out of his hold and moved it to his face. Y/n tilted her head to the side slightly as her thumb graced Conrad’s cheekbone, “then do it. Talk to me”.
Conrad leaned into y/n’s touch but frowned as he contemplated having to explain his feelings to her. He didn’t want y/n to hate him for how insecure he was feeling. He didn’t want y/n to feel like she had to choose between the brothers; especially as he wasn’t sure if he would be the chosen one. Conrad, of course, noticed the patient gaze his girlfriend wore as she saw his silent appreciation for what it was.
“I…,” Conrad licked his lips as he paused. “I love that you and Jere are close,” he disclaimed, waiting until y/n nodded that she understood. “But,…” Conrad shook his head a self deprecating scoff left his lips. “I can’t help but feel… like maybe… you are closer with him than me…” he mumbled, not knowing how to express his emotions without labeling them as jealousy.
Y/n watched Conrad wordlessly for a moment, hoping time would give him the chance to let go of whatever he was holding back. She lifted the left side of her lips as she squeezed his hand lovingly. “He’s just a friend, Connie,” y/n vowed, “I promise”.
Conrad nodded quickly with guilt and shame. “No, I, I know,” he admitted quietly. “I-I trust you,” Conrad said, nodding to himself, “I know you’re just friends”.
Y/n hummed delicately. She frowned as she looked at the sad expression on her boyfriend’s face. “Then why are you so jealous?” Y/n asked in a whispered manner as she once again traced Conrad’s cheekbone with her thumb.
“I’m not jealous,” Conrad blurted. A blatant lie. They both knew as much. He winced faintly at his own fib.
“Conrad,” y/n sighed lightly, using her tone to wordlessly convey he didn’t have to lie to her about this.
Conrad laughed humorlessly. “Okay, fine… I’m jealous,” he confessed reluctantly. “B-but it’s just… you two are so close, and…” Conrad trailed off, his eyes flittering away from y/n’s gaze in embarrassment.
Y/n’s head unconsciously tilted more to the left in confusion. She licked her bottom lip, bringing it in between her upper and bottom teeth momentarily. While lightly biting her lip, she analyzed her evidently insecure boyfriend in front of her. Y/n frowned, unable to find any other words to express her confusion then, “so are you and I, babe”.
Conrad nodded, a small smile on his lips as his eyes stayed glued to the small gap of picnic table bench between his lap and y/n. “In a different way,” he expressed solemnly. It wasn’t that Conrad didn’t love what he and y/n had, he hoped she knew as much. He just…, he felt bad for not being able to give her what Jeremiah’s friendship could; random, spontaneous, thrilling fun adventures.
Y/n’s hand lowered from Conrad’s cheek out of shock. She remained silent as her arm slowly sank back down to her side. “And, what’s wrong with that?” Y/n questioned breathily. “I…I love what we have, Connie,” she admitted, her worried eyes finding Conrad’s gaze.
Conrad swallowed thickly, his guilt building even more. This was exactly what he worried would happen. He hated that he wasn’t great at expressing his feelings and emotions. No matter how hard Conrad tried, that was something else Jeremiah seemed to be better at. “So do I,” Conrad proclaimed reassuringly, tightening his hold on y/n’s hand. He flipped their earlier roles/behaviors and used his free hand to cup y/n’s sun-warmed cheek. Conrad’s pinky finger was hooked underneath y/n’s chin, the soft tissue composing the side of his upper thumb rested in the valley between the slope of her nose and her cheekbone, his other three fingers lightly bore down captivatingly onto y/n’s upper jaw. Conrad could feel y/n’s tender and heated exaltations billowing out of her hydrated and plump lips and onto his thumb pad as it was pressed flatly against her lips.
“Then, what’s the problem?” Y/n asked mutely. “I’m not-,” she sighed, her breath ricocheting off of Conrad’s thumb pad area of his palm and back against her mouth. “I’m not understanding what you’re wondering about, Connie,” y/n admitted considerately.
“Am I enough?” Conrad questioned aloud. His breathy voice showed the softness of his vulnerability and insecurity. Conrad hated having to ask y/n this. He knew she loved him. Plus, Conrad despised putting y/n in a situation in which it made it seem like he needed her to constantly reassure him. This was his problem and he preferred to keep it that way. But, as Conrad gazed into y/n’s curious and compassionate eyes, the words escaped his mouth before he could stop them.
“What?!” Y/n sputtered. Her y/e/c eyes blinked rapidly as she gawked at Conrad. Disbelief would be an understatement for what she was feeling in that moment. How could Conrad not know how absurd that question was?!
Before y/n could utter another word or ask a more articulate clarifying question, Conrad began explaining himself. “I.. I’m not asking you to fix my insecurities baby; that’s not fair to you,” he determined. “I know you love me, I do, I assure you”. Conrad knew he needed to keep y/n from worrying that he didn’t feel the weight or sincerity of her love for him. “Baby,” he exhaled deeply, “I want to give you everything, but-“.
“Conrad,” y/n chimed in. She’d had enough of her boyfriend suggesting he was anything less the wonderful man she was in love with. Y/n cherished that he was being open and honest about his feelings, but she didn’t want him to wallow in them. Certainly not when they were so far off base.
“Connie,” y/n cooed, “you do.” She leaned her head into Conrad’s hold, nuzzling into his sail-boat-calloused palm. “You are everything,” y/n exclaimed breathlessly. “Sure, I’m friends with Jeremiah, but that’s just it. He’s just a boy who is my friend. You’re my boyfriend,” she commented. Seeing Conrad’s still present sadness, y/n added, “and, also a boy who is my friend”. She lovingly shook her head, Conrad’s fingers tenderly curling against her cheek in response. “You’re more than enough, you’re everything,” y/n vowed, intensely gazing into Conrad’s oceanic eyes.
Conrad’s cheeks flushed cerise as a bashful grin donned his lips. “I’m sorry for being jealous,” he apologized, “I do like it that you and Jere are so close”. Conrad grinned widely when y/n twisted her head slightly to place an adoring kiss to his palm. “I just can’t stand the idea of losing you,” he confessed. As uncomfortable as Conrad was while struggling to express himself, he now felt like a weight had been lifted off his chest. He was undoubtedly still slightly jealous of Jeremiah, but at least it wasn’t a secret anymore.
“You don’t need to worry about that, you’re stuck with me Conrad Fisher,” y/n winked. She giggled warmly as Conrad’s lips gifted her nose with a kiss. Y/n rested her forehead against Conrad’s before he had the chance to pull back completely. Her lips formed a painfully large smile as her boyfriend whispered how thankful he was to be ‘stuck’ with her.

Later that day, Conrad had to head to Cleveland’s for work, leaving y/n and Jeremiah to themselves again. He never worried about his absence, fully trusting his girlfriend and brother. And truth be told, he felt infinitesimally better knowing that y/n knew of his slight jealousy now; knowing she’d likely be even more cautious of the friendship boundary lines.
Yet, as Conrad returned home from work, he frowned upon not not being greeted by his sweet girlfriend. He begrudgingly dragged himself upstairs to shower and change so he could rid himself of the scent of fishing lure from Cleveland’s boat. Conrad sent a quick text to y/n to let her know he was home so he could possibly join her and his brother once he was done showering. He then plugged his phone into the charger and slipped into the bathroom to get cleaned up.
Conrad’s chuckled to himself despite the way his lips hurt from the size of his grin. He locked his phone and slid it into his shorts’ pocket before he looked back out his bedroom window again. Conrad leaned against the windowsill for a moment, taking in the sweet gesture.

While Conrad had been away at work, y/n and Jeremiah had relaxed on the beach. Y/n had tried to finished a novel she was reading while Jeremiah took advantage of the nice day by surfing. It was a laid back few hours, only breaking when Jeremiah caught sight of y/n wiping her hands against the sand in an odd manner.
When Jeremiah had ventured out of the waves and back to his friend on the shore, he laughed upon seeing what y/n was trying to do. “You’re so cheesy,” he groaned playfully, shoving her shoulder.
Y/n glared lightheartedly at her friend and then refocused on the sandy canvas before her. She’d smoothed out the sand so that she could write a cute message for her boyfriend, on she arranged so he could see it from his bedroom window. “Shut up,” y/n griped as Jere mumbled something about her being a simp for his brother.
“Just stay back,” y/n scolded, pushing Jeremiah away from her makeshift canvas of smoothed sand. “No ruining my masterpiece,” she commented playfully as she mentally envisioned the way she’d write the message in the hot sand. When she heard Jeremiah continue to mock her, y/n glared over at him, a little less playfully this time. “Look, he could really use this,” she defended, turning back to the empty space before her.
Jeremiah noticed the sincerity in y/n’s voice and decided to help. He knew even if he pushed her to a state of total annoyance, she’d never tell him what was bothering his brother Conrad. Y/n was loyal like that, especially when it came to her boyfriend, even though her boyfriend just so happened to be Jeremiah’s brother. So, while he wished he knew what was troubling Con, Jeremiah cluelessly decided to go along with y/n’s idea.
By the time Conrad had texted that he was home and hopping into a quick shower, the friends had finished their messages. Y/n had written, “I’m yours” in the sand with a smiley face next to it. She then had to help Jeremiah finish their shared sand-written note. When done, it read “we love you”, a large crooked heart drawn under the message. It was at that time that y/n texted Conrad to look out his window when he could.
While they waited for Conrad to join them, or text that he’d seen the sand messages and wanted them to hang out inside, Jeremiah taunted y/n. He kept pretending he was going to kick or toss sand over her note, a playful grin on his lips as he ran around the words. Y/n scolded him for getting too close to the note, shaking her head at his playful but careless behavior.
After begging Conrad to relieve her of Jeremiah duty, y/n wandered over to where a small section of smoothed but untouched sand remained. She smiled to herself as she knelt down and stuck her finger into the sun-heated sand. Y/n signed “I”, a little heart, “you”, in cursive letters. She leaned back and smacked Jeremiah’s leg as his approach left trace clumps of sand around the otherwise pristine note. But, as she threw her head back to look up at the beach house, she saw movement in the window of Conrad’s bedroom.
Y/n narrowed her eyes in an attempt to see through the glare on Conrad’s bedroom window. When she could make out his shirtless frame facing outwards, she smiled and waved. Seemingly knowing that y/n wouldn’t be able see his facial expression, Conrad waved back before forming a heart with his hands. Y/n giggled like a schoolgirl with a crush as she watched him point to her before his body left the window; presumably to finish getting ready to venture down to join her and Jere.
“You’re such a dork,” Jeremiah teased, kicking some light sand onto y/N’s lap. As she lifted her head back up to squint at him, Jeremiah smirked. “Who would’ve thought,” he tsked playfully. “Little miss y/n, falling for the moody older brother of her boy friend,” Jeremiah commented with a taunting shake of his head.
“Shut up , Jere,” y/n warned lightly. “He’s not moody, you’re just annoying,” she hummed, leaning back as she supported herself with her palms pressed against the sand backwards and slightly to the side of her butt. Y/n smiled as her peripheral vision caught a glimpse of Conrad jogging down the oak stairway connecting the summer house to the beach.
“Look at you,” Jeremiah chided with mock disbelief.
“You best watch it, or I’ll be sure to tell Sam what you said the other night,” y/n threatened, knowing the implication would make Jeremiah shut up. She smirked proudly as her friend gaped in offense.
“You do that…” Jeremiah mumbled, pulling his phone from his pocket. “And I show my brother that precious baby picture of you that I dared y/bff/n to send me,” he smirked back, knowing he had the upper hand again.
“You wouldn’t dare,” y/n gasped, pushing herself off the sand. When Jeremiah casually shrugged and unlocked his phone, y/n lunged forward to try and grab it. She sighed as Jeremiah took off down the beach, reluctantly chasing after him.
Jeremiah spun around suddenly, picking y/n up in a split second move. “Just remember, unless you want your boyfriend to see that photo, you say nothing to Sam,” he teased, tickling y/n’s sides as she squirmed.
Y/n huffed as Jeremiah set her back down with a look of achievement on his smug face. She glared at him but before she could comment, she heard her boyfriends voice asking what photo Jeremiah was referencing. Y/n didn’t even have to see Conrad’s face to notice his jealousy. She frowned to herself at how quickly things had changed.
Y/n snatched Jeremiah’s phone from his hand as Conrad reached their side. When Jeremiah protested about how it was not okay for her to do that and delete the photo, y/n waved her hand dismissively at her friend. “I’m not deleting it,” she argued, entering Jeremiah’s pin and unlocking the device. “I’m showing Conrad the photo,” y/n elaborated as she pulled up Jeremiah’s photo album app.
“Babe, you don’t need-,” Conrad commented quietly, his hands set softly on y/n’s waist. He appreciated what she was trying to do, but didn’t want to overstep either. And according to what he’d caught of Jeremiah and y/n’s playful fight, she didn’t want to share said photo.
Y/n shook her head, placing a quick kiss to Conrad’s cheek as she noticed his guilty expression. “It’s fine, but you can’t laugh,” she warned, covering Jeremiah’s phone as she loaded the photo in question. “Okay, well, you can,” y/n amended as Jere laughed loudly, “But.. Okay,…”. She moved her hand away from the phone and showed Conrad the embarrassing baby picture her mother just had to take.
Conrad stifled a chuckle as he squeezed y/n’s hip. “You look adorable,” he commented sweetly. When y/n shot him a exasperated look, his laughter increased. “You do!” Conrad defended, shaking his head lovingly. “A bit crazy, but I can handle crazy,” he joked with a wink.
Y/n gasped in faux offense as she walked away from the brothers. She could hear them both following after her, still trying to quiet their laughter. She shook her head despite the smirk she was only able to hide because her back was to them. As her feet reached the crisp water, she grinned wickedly as she scooped up a piece of seaweed that had washed ashore.
“Baby,” Conrad hummed, wiping his eyes as he hooked his arm around y/n’s lower back. He pulled her to his side and pressed a kiss to the top of her head as he grinned. “You do look cute in it though,” Conrad promised despite the amused tone of his voice.
Y/n turned around, letting Conrad adjust his arms to hook behind her. She lifted her arms around his neck, keeping an innocent look on her face. “Not as cute as you look right now,” she hummed. Y/n quickly draped the still damp seaweed onto Conrad’s shoulders before rushing out of his arms.
Y/n giggled loudly as she examined her boyfriend who was now staring at her in shock. She bit her lip and pulled out her phone to snap a quick photo. As she slid the phone back into her back pocket, she noticed Conrad was stalking towards her, a playfully menacing look in his eyes. Y/n gave him an exaggerated grin before running away.
Conrad chased after y/n, his smile never faltering. He decided against picking her up upon reaching her, the way that his brother had multiple times earlier today. Instead, Conrad chose to let that be Jeremiah’s thing with her. So, when y/n was finally in reach, Conrad snaked his hands around her frame and spun her around to face him. He wordlessly kissed her, tilting her backwards minimally; while fully supporting her frame nevertheless.
Jeremiah smirked to himself as he watched his brother and friend. He shook his head at the disgustingly sweet scene and took a quick candid photo for the couple. Jeremiah was beyond thrilled that despite whatever had been troubling Conrad today, his brother and friend were both so clearly happy together.
