You can create fan-art or fan-fiction, but if you’re not skilled nor confident at either of those, you’re not limited to just them.

If you’re mostly a Sims player like me, you can share recreations of the locations and characters in whatever game you prefer! You can post analysis on parts of the game, post your head canons on the characters/world, or talk about any other ideas you've had.

You can even do something as simple as telling us all about what you liked with the game and your experiences with it or even making a ranking of the characters based off of whatever criteria you want. You could even just post some screenshots you took while playing! Do whatever works for you!

The goal of this event is to get people talking and thinking about The Urbz: Sims in the City during/around its anniversary. I want people to do whatever the hell they want, but I also want to make sure to provide some ideas as a starting point for people who may want to particpate.

Also! Since all versions of the The Urbz: Sims in the City weren’t published in all territories for a few months, you can participate until March 11th, 2025, which is 20 years after The Urbz for DS released in Europe. So, if you want to participate but don't have the time, didn't see this post, or whatever you're doing is taking longer than expected, don't sweat!

The young Princess would have never imagined leading a war, yet one with the King, her own father, on the opposing side.

When did it all go wrong? A civil war was not on her to-do list to becoming a Queen. But here she was. Under the night sky. Alone. With just a sword by her side and a beating heart in her chest.

"I don't know what you had in mind..." Phillipa started, raising her head and looking her father dead in the eye. "...but here we stand on opposing sides..." She took her sword in both hands. "Let's go to war." The young Princess said in a mere whisper, tears welling in her eyes.

"Let's go to war!" Phillipa started to cry, raising her sword and striking towards her own blood.

MEET YOUR SIMVALLEY NEIGHBORS For a small town, SimValley has a lot of colorful characters for your Sim to get acquainted with. This section gives you a peak at just a few of the people who populate your Sim’s new home town.

Dusty Hogg - This bad boy biker plays by his own rules. While rumors around town state that he still lives with his parents, we don’t recommend you tease him about that—or anything else.

Mad Willy Hurtzya - Mad Willy knows a thing or two about going 10 rounds. Quick to solve a problem by applying his fists, he's definitely more of a fighter than a lover

Eddie Renalin - Although some Sims say that Eddie used to be a skinny twerp of a kid, those allegations have never been proven. Though short on smarts, these days Eddie's the biggest and strongest guy around town.

Bucki Brock - Bucki is a straight shooter who was born and raised right in the Valley. This is one girl who knows a cow from a steer and that's no bull.

Daddy Bigbucks - Daddy is sure enough a big spender. Your Sim will want to keep on his god side a to ensure they're near the drainpipe should any of that wealth trickle down.

Det. Dan D. Mann - Detective Dan D. Mann is the police presence in SimValley. He prides himself on keeping the SimValley streets safe and boasts that jaywalking is down 25% since he took on the beat.

O. Phil McClean - While O. Phil McClean isn’t the friendliest fisherman your Sim will ever meet, he does know the best spots for reeling in the biggest fish. If your Sim can get to know this crusty angler, he might tell them just what he’s using for bait.

Ephram Earl - This otherworldly neighbor is very familiar with things that go bump in the night. A bit on the loony side, this ghost can still give your Sim some of the worldly belongings that he no longer needs.

Misty Waters - Misty is responsible for keeping swimming Sims from expiring in the watery deep. She prides herself on staying fit, all the better to save lives and look good in her work uniform... a swimsuit.

Chet R. Chase - No hoity-toity, fancy French cooking for Chet R. Chase. A SimValley native, Chet serves up a tasty plate o' vittles that’s pure down home cooking.

Olde Salty - Olde Salty is the SimValley fish monger. He's a grumpy old sailor so ye'd best be wary of what ye say!

Nicki Knack - This SimValley old timer has made it her business to put her nose in everyone else's. A devoted collector of this and that, Nicki really might have a use for some of the items your Sim can't use.

Uncle Hayseed - Thanks to Uncle Hayseed’s generous invitation to come and spend the summer in SimValley, your Sim has a chance to enjoy the slower-paced life of country livin’ at its finest.

Giuseppi Mezzoalto - Some Sims are suspicious of this Giuseppi and think that he sometimes uses his van for moving people's things—whether he hired or not, But when it's time to relocate, his big, roomy van does the trick for toting a Sim’s possessions across town.

In addition to this cast of characters, there are many more Sims around town who can become friends, roommates, or more!

Darius - King of the Streeties, Darius has moves on the court and is a straight shooter when it comes to darts. He can usually be found at his hangout, Club Xizzle. Remember to stay away from his hotdogs.

Kris Thistle - Kris Thistle is King Tower's janitor. Outgoing, with a touch of attitude, she's more at home in her darkroom than behind a mop.

Daddy Bigbucks - Sim Valley's big spender moved to Miniopolis with plans to buy the entire city! Keep your eyes and ears open—this cat is definitely up to something.

Polly Nomial - Queen of the Nerdies and Associate Professor at the university, Polly is one smart cookie. If you're lucky, she might show you her vintage dictionary collection.

Roxanna Moxie - Flamboyant and fearless, Roxanna Moxie is the Carnival ringmaster and Queen of the Artsies. Fond of the bizarre, she counts the founding of the carnival's first freak show among her greatest achievements.

Luthor L Bigbucks III - Luthor is son and heir to Daddy Bigbucks' financial empire. A jetsetter and King of the Richies, Luthor walks the walk, but didn’t quite inherit his father’s evil streak.

Not overly surprised that Starz cancelled The Serpent Queen to be honest, I feel like I barely saw anyone talk about the show online. I think it getting a second season surprised me more than the show getting cancelled.

Also the audacity of Starz now saying they want to pursue another Elizabeth I spin off series when they had an Elizabeth I series .. that they already cancelled two years ago. What happened to the Eleanor of Aquitaine and Empress Matilda series they were apparently making?

"I could perhaps call you by any other name?" Frank circled around Phil in the backyard of his hut, a sword pointing towards him. "Phillipa, perhaps? Or is that too familiar? Your Highness?" Frank tipped over Phil's hat with his sword, knocking it down.

The fall of Phil's hat revealed long, wavy hair. Perhaps too long for a boy for this age and time. Instead of Phil, her Highness, Princess Phillipa Shaw, stood. Perhaps not completely, he still had his clothes.

Phillipa's long hair framed her face, and she glared through it at Frank, who was grinning at her. "So you found out." She started firmly. "Will you kill me? Hold me hostage?"

"None of these things, your Highness." Frank lifted Phillipa's head with the tip of his sword. "We'll get your pretty little face back to your daddy and ask your hand in marriage, or it won't end nicely."

Phillipa turned her head away, accidentally cutting herself on the tip. "Ah!" She cursed through gritted teeth in pain.

"The King is not that stupid to just marry me off to anyone who asks!" She growled.

Frank grabbed Phillipa's chin, pulling her head back to face him. "Oh, but your Highness... that's all part of the plan... your daddy sold you!"

Phillipa's eyes widened, her eyes losing light as the realization sank in.

This is from the scene when Phillipa (in the disguise of Phil) is on her way to the kitchens to meet up with Thea so she can go to the marketplace. And I think it's funny how she thinks she'll get beheaded for almost shattering the mirror.

“Oop!” The boy quickly got up on his feet. “I almost forgot.” He grabbed the soldier’s coat from the mannequin, making it spin around and almost hitting the mirror, but bouncing back last minute. The boy watched all of that unpack in horror but took a deep sigh afterward. “If I was not the Princess, I would surely lose my head for that. Do we even cut heads for that?” The boy is asking the big questions here, but maybe that’s a question for another day and another time. Now he should be on his way to Thea.

“Thea!” The boy gasped, quickly putting on the coat. “I almost forgot about her, she must be waiting!”

For my dear English readers I've roughly translated my German writing below the cut, but please note it is NOT reflective of my writing style and if something sounds weird I got lost in translation. To the few people who actually read it, I am very grateful. This is a snippet of a scene told from Varuna Kailani's pov, mother of the siren sisters and the exiled Meara Kailani. (Click for the oc intros and here for my master post.)

Ein röchelndes Husten neben mir schreckt mich auf. Ich summe meinem Mann leise seine Lieblingsmeldodie ins Ohr und sein Husten versiegt sogleich. Wie lange werde ich ihn noch am Leben halten können? Er ist immerhin zwanzig Jahre älter als ich und seine Haut wird immer fahler, ist beinahe so grau wie meines Hammerhais Ilukas. Die kurze Ablenkung hat Nerida gereicht, sie ist mit Nalu in der Nebenhöhle verschwunden. Ich fasse es nicht, dass sie vor Kurzem noch an unser Gewissen appelliert haben, Meara wieder nach Hause zu holen und sich dann völlig daneben benehmen. Die letzten Perlen werden abgezählt, ich muss alle schleunigst wieder versammeln, bevor mein Mann seine abtrünnigen Töchter bemerkt. Mit einem Wink deute ich Kairi an, ihre Schwestern zu holen. Sie nickt ergeben und krault fort, während ich mein liebstes Lächeln aufsetze. „Ich danke euch, dass ihr den weiten Weg auf euch genommen habt, um mit uns zu handeln“, säusle ich. Keano nickt zustimmend und Malio blickt für einen Moment weniger finster drein. „In Gezeiten wie diesen ist es wichtiger denn je, die Beziehung zwischen unseren Familien zu stärken“, fahre ich laut fort. „Uns wurde auch schon zugetragen, dass die Thalaneh sich mit den Nerisura verbündet haben“, spricht Malio abschätzend. Mein Mann verzieht gequält das Gesicht, es kränkt ihn zutiefst. „Wir danken für den frischen Fisch“, erwidere ich diplomatisch und bemerke erleichtert, dass Nerida und Nalu im Torbogen aufgetaucht sind. „Das Meer verabschiedet euch“, wünscht mein Mann auf Wiedersehen. „Wir schwimmen mit euch“, antwortet Keano und treibt zum Ausgang.

A rattling cough next to me startles me. I hum his favourite melody quietly in my husband's ear and his coughing stops immediately. How much longer will I be able to keep him alive? After all, he's twenty years older than me and his skin is getting paler and paler, almost as grey as Iluka's, my beloved hammerhead shark. The brief distraction gave Nerida a chance to slip away into the neighbouring cave with Nalu. I can't believe they recently pleaded to our remorse to bring Meara back home and then completely misbehave on such an important day. The last pearls are counted, I hurl everyone back together as quickly as possible before my husband notices his renegade daughters. With a wave, I gesture to Kairi to fetch her sisters. She nods devotedly and swims away while I put on my favourite smile. “Thank you for travelling all this way to trade with us,” I purr. Keano nods in agreement, and Malio scowls for a moment. “In times like these, it's more critical than ever to strengthen the relationship between our families,” I continue aloud. “We've also been told that the Thalaneh have allied themselves with the Nerisura,” Malio spits dismissively. My husband pulls a pained face, looking deeply offended. “Thank you for the fresh fish,” I reply diplomatically, and realise with a gulp of relief that Nerida and Nalu have appeared in the archway. “The sea bids you farewell,” my husband says. “We'll swim with you,” Keano replies and drifts towards the exit.

Ok while my computer is getting fixed I decided to write something from the TSQ au to put some lore about it.

The Au relates that Jaime and Jay were part of the second YJ team after the team from the first season of Young justice.

The two of them were very close. They went from teammates to friends quickly because of similarity in age and because they basically had each other literally. Jay being compared to Dick when he made somewhat abrupt decisions on missions. While Jaime has to learn on his own how to be a hero as he has no proper mentor (Here Jaime would have the help of Peacemaker, Guy Gardner and Ted Kord's notes) and those who try to help him don't give him what he needs in regards to Khaji Da.

So when they feel abandoned or overwhelmed, they would go to each other. Thanks to that closeness they became friends outside the team, to the extent of knowing each other's true identities.

This closeness helped them to improve in many cases.

Jaime's calmness helped Jay not to explode many times with Batman or make risky decisions in missions. Alfred is thankful that his grandson's friend keeps him from coming back with more bruises and stitches than usual, besides teaching him how to skateboard.

And Jason's strong character influenced Jai to be more confident in correcting someone when they call him by his old name or refer to him by his wrong gender (Jai is a trans guy and here I want to explore the complications of his transition socially like Blue Beetle and Jaime Reyes. And before you assume, here the reyes and khaji unconditionally support and love Jai throughout his process) and also help him with school homework from time to time.

As time went by, their friendship grew stronger and new feelings arose in both of them. Love.

They knew it, everyone knew they loved each other.....

Too bad they couldn't confess to each other... because Jay after a failed mission to find his biological mother, ended up dying at the hands of the joker.

Jai came back to see the person he loved inside a coffin. In shock and tears, Jaime Reyes whispered "I love you" over and over again during the funeral, while his father held him so he wouldn't collapse from the pain and loss.

Jaime left the team some time later. And the following years he dedicated himself to being a solo hero in palmera city. And in his civilian life he dedicated his time to his family and studies.

On the altar of the reyes family there is a photograph of him and Jay that was taken after their first outing as friends.

That relative calm changed when Nightwing found him and asked for a life-changing favor (and boy, was he not wrong). That's when Blue Beetle met Tim Drake, the third Robin.

The proposal was for Jai to help train the new team and they believe that someone with the experience of having been a fairly young hero the new generation would better understand him.

In short, he would be a nanny in armor.

To begin with, Jai was going to refuse as he was still feeling some negative feelings and mostly homesickness. But when he saw Tim in the uniform, the robin symbol, the excitement of meeting the Blue Beetle and hearing about how Tim discovered the identity of batman and basically took the suit and called himself robin. He couldn't help but agree not only because of that but this time he wanted to make sure that this time no kid like him and...Jay.. go through what they went through.

The new team consists of:

Tim Drake (Robin)

Cassie Sandmark (Wonder girl)

Kon-El (Superboy)

Bart Allen (Impulse)

At the beginning they had their difficulties, but with time they became very close. The team went from seeing Blue Beetle as a babysitter to a mentor and ultimately as a cool older brother who takes the time to be there for them, takes the trouble to listen to their daily routines, memorizes everyone's likes and dislikes, becomes their first defender when a League member berates them after missions, is their shoulder to cry on. Basically he is always there if they need him no matter how far away he is.

This also helped Jaime in his healing journey. After leaving the yj he became more reserved, sullen and only gave tired smiles.

But when he met these children he began to have small noticeable changes in the way he was. He was smiling and laughing more, he started to be more extroverted and to go back to being the Jaime he was before Jason's death and he realized that.

And from then on he promised himself that he would be the hero and person that he and Jason wanted to be when they grew up. He would do it because it would honor the memory of the boy he would still love in spite of everything.

Unfortunately, the crime lord Red Hood would come to bring instability as he came to Gotham to hunt down those with whom he has unfinished business and Jaime is one of those targets.
