If there's anything that Bonnie absolutely hated, it would be people coming in to the cafe minutes before closing time. It was already hellish ENOUGH to have to serve coffee-dependent college students with absurdly specific orders; how much more did they have to make her life a living (H E L L)?
Despite her manager's warning to be friendlier, Bonnie can't help but heave out a SIGH at the sound of the bell at the entrance. "We're closing in five, for fuck's sake," she mumbled mostly to herself before looking up at the new customer with poorly concealed annoyance. "Wel-come to River Cafe. What's it gonn' be?"

Peyton wasn't too big on jewelry, but she quite liked rings. They stayed in place and they weren't too flashy--the rings for the Tie-the-Knot program fit the bill perfectly, she thought as she fiddled with the one given to her as a ' wedding gift. ' She'd stepped out of the venue to take a breather, wandering over to a quiet corner; she'd hoped to find a moment alone, only to find someone already hanging around the spot she'd been eyeing. "Oh, hello," she greeted awkwardly, not wanting to be rude. "Would you mind some company? They've started this conga line inside, and I'm not quite sure that I want to be part of it . . ."

Maya was bored, incredibly bored. There wasn’t much going on in her life, and shew as over it. The little drama queen lived for drama, and that was exactly what she needed. So, here she was, walking around a group of people to see who the perfect candidate would be for a little firecracker. When she thought she found the perfect person, she walked confidently up to them, a smirk resting on her lips. “I’m ready for some chaos, are you with me?”

she was late she was late she was LATE. avani couldn’t believe it. it was the first day of class. it was the first fucking class and she was already running five minutes late, and the fact she was quoting mulan to herself in her head was a problem in and of itself. of course, between ensuring she didn’t drop her laptop or her bag, balancing her coffee, and trying to remember how the end of the dishonour quote went, she wasn’t paying much attention to where she was going. one step, two step- t h u m p.
“oh. oh, my-” fuck. that coffee had cost her eight bucks, and now it was little more than an unwanted accessory on some poor soul. “i am so sorry. i, that, are you- are you okay?”

charlie lost ari. an uphill battle on day one and he kept rolling down and down. this was going to be difficult. letting out a sigh he walked around the event, until he sat outside away from people. sitting down he pulled out his flask from his jacket pocket and took a quick sip, he let the alcohol burn as and groaned unsure of what to do. they were friends once upon a time, and he almost wondered where it went wrong. but he realized their lives just moved in different directions. but he never understood the hate she had for him, mostly because he never had a dislike of her. he took another sip. he heard footsteps approach and he looked over, “hello?” he called out.

"Didn't I tell you this ice cream was divine? Best in Philadelphia." Apollo said a little too enthusiastically, still a bit miffed that he'd wounded up treating the other person to dessert. It was really on his own volition, actually, after he'd WRONGED them so grievously. (Well, according to them at least.) It was just a few extra dollars he could've saved--not something the other had to know, of course. "I don't suppose this means you forgive me?" he asked innocently. "Sweets usually seem to do the trick."

jiah hummed, staring at her phone once more before turning it off and dropping it into her bag. sitting back on a bench, she stared up at the sky, letting her eyes slide over the white clouds that littered across the blue. the sun felt lovely on her skin and there was a soft breeze, not too hot, not too cold.
rolling her head back, she closed her eyes, exhaustion coming over her all of a sudden. she opened her eyes again, blinking a couple times before getting up, grabbing her bag and turning to leave the small park, only to bump straight into someone, losing her footing and stumbling back a little. “shit, sorry...”

all gabe wanted was a quiet cigarette, but the campus wasn’t generally quiet at this time of day, and finding a corner to stand and smoke when every other person wanted to give you the evils for such a thing was next to impossible these days. he’d tried the whole vaping thing for about ten minutes, but it wasn’t the same to him - the feel of the cigarette between his fingers was half the comfort, as much as he hated it about himself. add to that his lighter wasn’t working, and gabe was starting to become pretty agitated. he could feel a pair of eyes on him and he scowled, not looking up as he tried his lighter again, to no avail. “you wanna take a fucking picture, or you wanna leave before i shove this down your throat?”

Caroline was never one for conversation, usually just listening to her friends ramble for hours on end. Although she wished she could speak up for both herself and just a way of conversing. Maybe if she wasn’t so quiet she could gain the attention of her wedding partner. But such like Caroline, here she was in the middle of campus, sitting in a small field with earbuds placed perfectly in her ear, surrounded by a couple other students working on homework. Her pencil moved smoothly across her sketchpad, working on another piece. She was always working on something, she never wanted to put her pencil down. It was her chance to ignore the world. When she noticed that someone had glanced in her direction, she finally took her earbud out and sent a smile their way. Maybe it was time for her to make friends? “Hey.. uh, how are you?”

harry was determined that this year, the tabletop society was going to take off. they had a few regular players (fewer, now a few had graduated) and he’d taken over the reins of recruitment and organisation, which was why he was standing in the middle of the courtyard with a bunch of self-made flyers in his hands, still warm from printing. it wasn’t the most popular pastime, he knew, but he was certain he could turn on the charm and if he could just get a couple of new players, the year could run smoothly. two or three games running, people organised based on their circumstances... yeah. harry had this. he heard the footsteps before he saw the person and slapped on his friendliest smile.
“hi there,” he greeted, turning, flyer held out for the person to take.

If Maggie wasn’t a secondary education major, she would definitely do something with plants. Whether it be studying every single type of plant and learning about their different functions or really anything she could learn about them. She loved visiting a local greenhouse, being surrounded by plenty of different flowers and plants, being able to be incredibly inspired and happy. She slowly moved through the greenhouse, her baby-doll dress perfectly hiding the little pregnancy bump. Usually, she would be buzzing from the each end of the store, but her pregnancy symptoms were a little bad today. As she walked, she moved towards another, looking at one of the most prettiest flower she had ever seen. “It’s so beautiful,” she mentioned to the other, a smile placed on her lips.

DJ didn’t have to prove herself to anyone, especially her parents. They already knew she was a ‘problem’ child, not orderly enough of taking on the family business. DJ didn’t mind, though. She would rather not be pinned down by her parent’s wants and beliefs, she would much rather move somewhere in the mountains, hiking, or maybe even starting her own business, one where she could grow successful without taking anyone down. She was ambitious, but only in her own beliefs. As she walked down the pathway, she couldn’t help but to let out an audible sigh, dramatic enough to get the other’s attention. “Do you want to get out of here? Skip a class, have fun?”

“I love it,” Olivia mentioned, her voice as sweet as sugar. The blonde was sitting in her small office, on the phone with her mother back in Nashville. “My students are great, there is so much creativity flowing through the room, you can feel it in your bones..” There was a smile resting on her lips, knowing she wouldn’t rather do anything else than teaching her students. Of course, Olivia knew she couldn’t be done with writing music of her own forever, having another journal filled with possible songs for her next album, but compared to her music career, this was the little break she needed. Soon after Olivia got off the phone with her mom, she noticed a presence standing near the doorway, her eyebrows perking up as she turned her attention towards the figure. “Oh gosh— I’m sorry! Is there something I can help you with?”

“he doesn’t want to bang you,” the tiny girl’s lips moved a mile a minute, talking to another girl that she was supposed to be hanging out with that day— of course, plans had changed as soon as her lips moved. she didn’t mean to say the sentence so …loudly, but maya couldn’t help herself from trying to prove her friend wrong. “i’m sorry!” maya tried to let out as she saw her friend gathering their things and leaving, leaving maya alone in the area. letting out a sigh, maya made eye contact with another in the area, a sheepish smile on her lips. “i totally fucked that up, didn’t i?”
