Two face in a nutshell

AU where, after throwing Luo Binghe into the abyss and Shen Qingqiu stops eating because the food on his peak is too bland, he discovers that a. Shang Qinghua is a good cook and b. that it's very similar to Binghe's cooking. He decides to have his meals over on An Ding, which confuses his fellow peak lords, but they are also very relieved because he is actually eating.

When Luo Binghe escapes from the abyss he ends up hearing rumors about this, and sees Shang Qinghua as a romantic rival. Instead of taking over HHP, he decides to open a restaurant because clearly the way into his Shizun's heart isn't to become a respected cultivator, but through his stomach. Shang Qinghua does have one thing over Binghe, and that's his ability to make modern dishes that Shen Qingqiu misses.

Shen Qingqiu and Shang Qinghua are very confused and have no idea what Binghe's restaurant has to do with his plans for revenge, and they think it's safe for Shang Qinghua to go in to spy because Luo Binghe would want nothing to do with him.

However, when Luo Binghe spots Shang Qinghua in his restaurant, he challenges him to a cooking competition with Shen Qingqiu as the one and only judge. Shang Qinghua doesn't want to die, so he agrees, but he is afraid that Binghe would take Shen Qingqiu if he loses, so he decides that he needs to out cook Binghe to save Shen Qingqiu's life.

Shen Qingqiu has no idea what's going on (classic Shen Qingqiu) and agrees to judge. Binghe makes him his favorite dish from Qing Jing Peak, while Shang Qinghua makes him his favorite modern dish.

In the end, Shen Qingqiu can't choose because both of the dishes are really good, and Binghe breaks down, saying that if Shen Qingqiu really likes Shang Qinghua's cooking, then he is willing for both of them to marry Shen Qingqiu.

Shang Qinghua, who had no idea that those were the stakes, backs out of the competition because he had no interest in marrying his bro (Mobei-Jun has been stewing in jealousy this whole time and decided that in order to win Shang Qinghua's heart, he needed to cook for him. When it's revealed that Shang Qinghua doesn't love Shen Qingqiu, he takes him back to his palace and presents him with all the food he has learned to make. While not as good as the protagonist's, Shang Qinghua is still moved because he never thought anyone would make something for him, much less his spoiled king)

Shen Qingqiu and Luo Binghe do make up and get married, and Binghe reluctantly asks Shang Qinghua advice for making modern meals

It's actually so heartbreaking that in the temperance ending Johnny just.. leaves. Gets all these calls, maybe even texts, from people who don't know the extent of what happened. Who are accusing him, that are mad at him. Especially in the frame of reference that this was V's last wish. That it was V who gave the body up. That it was V who wanted this, wanted to save Johnny, Johnny essentially powerless to stop them ('just scared for ya').

And the thing is.. Johnny just lets everyone. Lets them make their own conclusions, lets them be mad at him. Lets them blame him. Lets them think, that after the love of his life the person who's ever wholly understood or cared about him the most like no other ever could had 'died', that it's his fault, that he could do that to them... Or just lets them think the worst of V as their final lasting impression or mark on this world. Doesn't try to defend himself nor V. He just leaves. Just takes it.

And you would think. You would think the one he would at least tell is Kerry. That the one to actually understand the most would be Kerry. I don't think any of the other love interests could get the whole engram situation like him, they don't have that personal history or connection to the code on the relic like he did after all. Kerry knew Johnny. Enough at least. But Johnny doesn't tell him, and Kerry just thinks V ghosted off on him and Johnny just lets him think that. And it just makes you wonder.. why would Johnny do that? Why would he do any of this?

So lbh definitely talked to sqq's corpse during those five years. Maybe he told his dead shizun about his day or his worries (both politically and in the dead shizun flavors). Though I think my favorite would be just talking about his feelings, especially since he never got to do that before everything happened (and honestly that could have saved a lot of time)

Cut to post cannon and Luo Binghe still has this habit, just instead of Shen Qingqiu being dead he's just sleeping. So some (most if not all) mornings when Luo Binghe wakes up before Shen Qingqiu he'll just sort of talk about things. It's usually a lot less emotionally charged since, well, sqq is actually alive, but still. I also imagine if there's ever stuff he doesn't want to burden sqq with knowing, he'll just end up telling it to him when he's asleep. Adding this with the headcannon that it took Bingqiu a long time to actually say 'I love you', I think that Luo Binghe would tell sleeping sqq that he loves him

Ok so I thought it would be neat if two face never stopped being the DA.

I know he usually resigns because he's worried about people looking up to him but think about it, here's a man who was doing the right thing in Gotham and got attacked for it, he would use that as a way represent the city how it actually is and not some polished clean version.

He knows Gotham is ugly and has 2 sides, he's just not gonna hide his ugly side because the people have been lied to enough alread

The rest of system essentially helps him run the law better, he's honest In that he's not afraid to get his hands dirty to have justice served

Also I wanted to go more into the racial injustices Harvey would've faced as a black man

He grew up in the lower areas of Gotham but his parents worked blood sweat and tears so that he could go to a good school, which was where he met Bruce.

His father was a lawyer and Harvey went to law school to live up to his father's expectations and legacy

Harvey Dent is a self made man who came from nothing and rose through the ranks and became Gotham's da, even when things got rough with his scarring he still is the face of the people.

Harvey Dent's journey is one of struggle and perseverance. Harvey is also acquaintances to several Gotham rogues, as he recognizes their struggles in the cruel city of Gotham. He doesn't view them as villians or crazies, he views them as people like him who have been hurt and knocked down over and over again by this cruel order of things.

I think the person who I base Harvey on the most in the au is probably Princess Diana, a similar extremely compassionate individual who recognized struggles in others and acted on them, despite the cruel organization she was a part of

bit from the Halloween issue of the MASKS game I'm running. they were both dressed up as Ghostface but I didn't feel like drawing the mask even though it was the whole point!! the delinquent (westley) got buried in a coffin for a halloween game called Coffin King, but the jocks left him in there, then the nerd/doomed (adrian) went through a teleportation portal by accident and ended up trapped in the coffin with him, so we ended up with two ghostfaces in a coffin. woke: two face crimes never go to trial because: every single trial he will stand up and begin to punch holes in the lawyer's arguments. this would be great if he just restricted himself to the prosecution, but unfortunately for everyone involved, he does not spare the defence either. Chronically unable to stop yapping once they put him on the stand. only three things can happen once harvey is taken to trial: someone blows up the courtroom, mistrial or a hung jury.
