In regards to Book 7, does everyone want it to conclude already? Since in your Book 8 speculation video, a lot of people are âchecked outâ of Book 7, which Iâm guessing means burnt outâŠ
I don't know if it's EVERYONE, but I think a lot of people are, myself included. I want the chapter to have a nice conclusion, but a lot of people are just tired at this point.
While I think how long this has been going on is a big factor, imo there's other factors that are causing the fatigue.
The pacing is just bleh at this point. I don't post my notes, but when I do my TwstNotes videos, I read and keep notes. And when I write the final script, there's been a lot of times that I've' either summarized an entire part with one sentence or just not talked about it. A lot of chapter 7 at this point feels like filler and bloating. If the pacing was tighter I wouldn't mind as much, but some of these chapters feel like fluff.
And although I really do love Sebek and Silver, I want to see more Malleus and Lilia. Lilia's dream was so nice, but it's kind of wild that so much of Diasomnia's chapter isn't focused on them and it kind of sucks. I don't actually mind the concept of going through people's dreams, but I wish this chapter had a different storyline and this dream stuff was reserved for later in the game in a different book. And some of these dreams feel like they could have been an email, you feel? Like I don't think buff Epel was necessary. I don't think Floyd's (or Jade's tbh) dreams were necessary. I don't think Deuce's dream was necessary. So many of these dreams just felt unnecessary.
Especially since although every dream is different, everything is following the same formula more or less and so it feels like it's the same thing over and over again.
On one hand, I don't want chapter 7 to have a bad, rushed ending. I feel like that would be just. Not Great for so many reasons. But on the other hand, I'm ready to move onto something new. I'm EXTREMELY ready for something new.

Hello! I was looking through the twst notes linked in the voice actors section, and there are videos who are "not available in your country". I suppose they're only available in Japan, in the same that Ameba streams are restricted overseas? Would it be legal (and not too much of a bother) for you to download some of those videos as mp4 and post them on your Tumblr..? I'm mostly curious about the 2024 Midorikawa/Kato recording where they discuss the 7th book (in this note https://twstnote.com/lilias-voice-actor-midorikawa-hikaru/)
Hello hello! Thank you for this question! đŠđ
(above is a screenshot, not an uploaded video! m(_ _)m)
Oh no! My apologies, I can never tell what things are available where.
The July, 2024 recording between Midorikawa and Kato is 1 hour and 13 minutes long, which would be a lot for Tumblr đŠ But I did receive a request for a summary, which can be found here!
Much like Twisted Radio Station the two VA are not on screen, with only their headshots and subtitles (in Japanese) appearing as they speak, but! Midorikawa and Kato's have been together on-screen for a webshow while speaking about Twst before đ

After Midorikawa appeared on Kato's radio show in September 2023, Kato then appeared on Midorikawa's show in January 2024, which had video!
Neither show has any affiliation with Twst so many topics were discussed, but Twst did come up in conversation. Midorikawa is known to be a big fan of Twst and his show even had an entire segment on it!
There were several items placed on a tabletop and he had to guess which one belonged to Kato: a wallet, cologne, a CD, an ab roller, a mobile battery or Chrono Trigger for Super Famicon.
Midorikawa held his hand over them one and a time and said "Far Cry Cradle" in Lilia's voice, pretending to be using Lilia's unique magic--it was so great!
While Kato's radio show episode is no longer accessible Midorikawa's episode is still available on ABEMA if you would like to see it!
Kato is a very, very big fan of Midorikawa's and it is wonderful to see/hear them interact with one another ^^
I live-tweeted the show when it first aired, and here are some highlights!
Kato made roast beef for them to share and Midorikawa is explaining that he is a terrible cook, "I am just like Lilia"
Midorikawa says that his voice gets deeper over time when he has a lot of dialogue at once, so sometimes the staff will interrupt him during recordings to say, âYouâve become Crimson Muscle.â
Kato has put on a Christmas tree headband. Midorikawa put on rabbit ears but Kato vetoed it for not being Christmas enough. Midorikawa tried a Santa hat, but then vetoed it for not being cute enough. He is now wearing a headband with both rabbit ears and a Santa hat.
They explained that Midorikawaâs fans are called âleaf-chan.â They decided to give Kato a special fan name. They had the chat decide. Katoâs Midorikawa-fan-name is now Chef Leaf.
(One commenter recommended the fan name of "Roast Leaf" and one year later I am still not over it ww)

I have made a website for character information!
Thank you to everyone who messaged asking about an overall compilation! It is very plain and only has links back to Tumblr and Twitter, but I hope it helps a little!
(I do not know how to make websites and this was my first-ever attempt. If anyone has any ideas for making things more convenient or easier to use I will be happy to improve it!)

While reading the Twist novel, I realized that Yuuya is very different from the game's protagonist. Besides the obvious, I know there's more, but I'm not very observant and I get lost a lot. Could you make a list or analysis to understand their differences? I love your blog; by the way, it's very informative!
Hello hello! Thank you for this question! đŠ You are too kind m(_ _)m
The main difference between Yuuya and Game-Prefect is maybe that we have any information about Yuuya at all, as Game-Prefect has been designed as a blank slate with Yana saying that they have no set age or gender :>
While the information we do have about Yuuya has not been proven in game (16 years old, male, etc.) it has also not been disproven, so technically Game-Prefect and Yuuya could be very similar!
But (as you say!) there are also many differences, and these are currently being catalogued in an word-for-word comparison of Game- and Novel- dialogue, as a still-ongoing series ^^
Here are the first three installments!
ă»Yuuya Prefect Comparison pt1: Prologue
ă»Yuuya Prefect Comparison pt2: Book 1 (pt1/5)
ă»Yuuya Prefect Comparison pt3: Book 1 (pt2/5)
More to come! đ„ł
(The Book 1 comparison is already complete on twstnote (link below), as information compilations are generally completed there before Tumblr! Book 2 comparison to come đŠ)

I'm sorry to bother you if this question has been asked already but I noticed something.
I was playing the EN version of TWST and in book 1 when Riddle is hit in the face with an egg, Trey says a rather long response, but the EN version only has him saying "an egg...?!" And I noticed in the EN translation of the manga and the novel that there's the same thing, where Trey only says "egg". But what is he actually saying? QQ please help.
Hello hello! Thank you for this question! đ„
This is a great catch!
Trey's original dialogue is ăïŒïŒăȘăă ...ć”ïŒćŻźçăæăă......ăźăïŒă
This is close to, "!? What...an egg? Thrown by......a dorm member?"
Trey's shock is not from just anyone throwing an egg at Riddle, but from the fact it is a member of Heartslabyul: one of the students of their own dorm, turning on their Housewarden.
This point is more heavily emphasized in the novel, with Trey protecting Riddle from additional eggs and yelling at the rebelling students, "This is your housewarden!"
Trey's bewilderment at the concept of a member of Riddle's own dorm betraying him was removed from EN, possibly due to the awkwardness of putting the word 毟ç (member/student of the same dorm?) into English? It was maybe easier for the EN team to remove it, leaving us without that nuance and just "an egg" :>
Thank you again for this question! This EN change has been added to twstnote ^^

Dialogue Comparison: Twst Manga vol.5, Book of Savanaclaw vol.1
Original Game/Manga Cafeteria Ghost:Â Deluxe Minced Meat Cutlet Sandwich EN Game/Manga Cafeteria Ghost:Â Deluxe ham and cheese
(EN-server's "ham and cheese" localization upheld in the EN manga)
Original Game/Manga Ruggie:Â Mini red bean bun Manga Ruggie:Â Mini red bean bun EN Game Ruggie:Â Hot dog bun
(EN's "hot dog bun" localization was not upheld in the EN manga, possibly because of an illustration of a red bean bun with "sweet red bean bun" written on it in English, which would have been difficult to write around.)
Original Game/Manga Ruggie: Also, that tanuki and the other first-years just now, I feel like Iâve seen them before somewhereâŠâŠ?
EN Game Ruggie: Anyway, that weasel at the cafeteria and his freshman friendsâŠwhere have I seen them before?
EN Manga Ruggie: Come to think of it, those first-years and the weasel, I think iâve seen them beforeâŠ?
(This might be confusing for manga-only fans, as this is the first time that anyone has referred to Grim as a âweaselâ in the EN manga: in the EN Heartslabyul arc he was referred to as a tanuki, accurate to the original manga/game, (More here ->) possibly because the âtanukiâ joke was accompanied by an illustration of Grim as a tanuki. As this panel in the manga did not have a tanuki illustration, they had the freedom to change to âweaselâ.)
Crowley refers to the original-game Prefect as âPrefect-kunâ and to every reincarnation of the prefect in the manga (and there have been four prefects as of this post) as the same name, âYuu-kun,â never differentiating between them.
This is also true of Hirasaka Yuuka, the prefect of the Savanaclaw arc, who is also called âYuâ in all English-language panels in all EN manga except one, where Crowley refers to her as "Ms. Hirasaka" just once in the EN manga.
Original Game/Manga Riddle:Â I also agree with Vil-senpaiâs opinion.
EN Game/Manga Riddle:Â I am in complete agreement with Housewarden Vil.
(No housewarden has ever referred to another with the âHousewardenâ title in the original game.)
(This is also true of non-housewarden characters: no one in the original game ever refers to anyone but the housewarden of their own dorm with the "Housewarden" title. This rule is different on EN, where Jack once refers to Vil as "Housewarden.")
Original Game/Manga Leona:Â He sounds just like my brother.
EN Manga Leona:Â He talks like my stupid brother.
EN Game Leona:Â Talkinâ like heâs better than me.
--
Plus: All English-language manga changes for volumes 1 to 4 are now updated, with comparisons to changes made to the EN game and EN novel, available here:
(For the curious, the twstnote site is ad-free and I receive no revenue :> )

Hello! I'm a language major asking for permission if it's okay to use your references for making academic essays or journalsâ they're so put together and easy to read through! I was curious
Hello hello! Thank you for this question, you are too kind! m(_ _)m
Do feel free to use any information from here and twstnote as you like!
Most things can be found under the twstdialogue or twstlanguage tags (this blog is not very well organized, my apologies đŠ) but language-talk content has also been compiled here, which might be easier for looking things up!
For very language-specific resources there are also: ă»Honorifics in Twisted Wonderland ă»Pronouns in Twisted Wonderland ă»"You" in Twisted Wonderland
And there are also some language-related posts in the Q&A space! ^^
ă»Q: Is the Japanese-language gendered? ă»Q: What is furigana? ă»Q: "Yuu" vs. "Yu," which is right? ă»Q: Crowley's name and its hidden meaning ă»Q: What does Najma really say when she calls Jamil âdude?â ă»Q: On the EN server, Jamilâs lesson start line is translated as âNo antics, please," but what is he really saying? ă»Q: Does Idia sometimes use âde gozaruâ to end sentences? ă»Q: Iâve noticed Epel keeps adding âkanaâ to the end of his sentences. What does it mean? ă»Q: Fan translations say that Silver was in the prefect's bedroom, but the official translation is different. ă»Unique Magics: Incantation and Spell-Name Comparisons (warning: Book 7 spoilers)
Lastly this may not be what you are looking for but just in case, there is an ongoing series of talking about speech patterns of the characters as well :>
ă»Speech Patterns: Riddle ă»Speech Patterns: Ace ă»Speech Patterns: Ruggie ă»Speech Patterns: Kalim ă»King of Oya ă»Friendships ă»Rook's French
I hope this helps!

Hiii I love your work though I do have to ask why you put everything in separate places. I donât have X/Twitter which makes it difficult at times to read on some of the characters more. Iâm not complaining I just would like to know why. Apologies for asking you donât have to answer. (ăŒ^ăŒ;)
Hello hello! Thank you for this question! đ»
I am very sorry for the disorganization of this content! đŠ
In summary: this is a known issue that is slowly being fixed with the new "updated character facts" series, and I am very sorry for the inconvenience being caused m(_ _)m
Everything that was shared exclusively to Twitter back in 2022 and 2023 is now also available on twstnote! (ad-free, I receive no revenue from visitors)
In long explanation:
This blog content has (mostly) been identical to Twitter content since July 2023, so I wonder if maybe this question is related to some of the earlier content from before? (Please do let me know if I am misunderstanding!)
Until July 2023 this blog did not share Character Fact information in waves like it does now! It used to be that things were all shared as soon as information-gathering was complete, which resulted in shuffled orders like Ortho Facts pt3, Vil facts pt 23, Ruggie facts pt 5, etc., all being shared in the same week.
It was a strange system that I now regret so much! I had been worried at the time that people would become unhappy hearing always about only one character for weeks at a time đŠ
In July 2023 the system was changed to match Twitter content in the middle of Leona facts, which resulted in a curious dilemma of some characters having their facts never shared to Tumblr at all.
This problem has been temporarily corrected on twstnote.com!
Old character facts are shown just as Tumblr-post embeds, and information that never reached Tumblr due to the posting-schedule update is available directly on-site!
On Ruggie's information compilation page, for example, up to part 8 shows Tumblr embed links, while "Ruggieâs Unique Magic, Vargas Camp, Stealing" (and everything else) are all integrated into the site itself. This is because only up to part 8 was ever shared to Tumblr, but then came the system change, and the rest of Ruggie's information never reached here.
Q: "But I am looking at Sebek and Silver's facts and those aren't Tumblr embedded links? They're all inside the site, but also not from 2023?"
A: That is a part of the changes slowly coming to the site with the "Updated Character Facts" series!
I noticed that, with the Tumblr-embed system, if someone wanted to enlarge a screenshot they would be redirected to Tumblr and have to make an account to view. This seems impolite to people who maybe just want to know more about a character without having to join Tumblr, so with the "Updated Facts" series all content is being uploaded directly on-site rather than using just Tumblr embeds :>
It is taking a long time but updates are being made every day, and I am so grateful for everyone's understanding through these times of trial and error m(_ _)m

Would you mind giving short summaries of everyone's book 7 dreams? I haven't seen anyone compile them all yet. If this is too much, kindly ignore!
( ăŁË¶ÂŽ Ë `)ăŁ
Hello hello! Thank you for this question! đ
Dream summaries are complete! Thank you for this new series idea ^^
Starting with Lilia, which was difficult to put into a "short" summary đŠ If you prefer a more concise summarization there is an ongoing "book 7 synopsis" series on twstnote! Here are chapters 56 to 100, covering Lilia's dream:
For a closer focus on just Lilia's dream itself (without Silver and Sebek's side adventures), here we are!
--
Malleus sends all of Sageâs Island to sleep in Book 7 so that they might enjoy âunending happiness,â âwithout sorrow, where you will never lose a single personânot friends, not family.â
Despite how Lila was the person whom Malleus was attempting to save, for Lilia alone this turns into a dream world where Malleus is unable to enforce his own rule of âwithout sorrow,â resulting in a recreation of the Human/Fae war of 400 years ago where he served as General of the Right of Brarlandâs royal guard (more: the rules of the dreams / why Liliaâs dream was sad).
In the dream Briarlandâas it was known before it was reduced to Briar Valleyâhas been invaded by humans who are cutting down the forests, laying waste to the mountains and plundering the resources through illegal mining, driving direbeasts into fae villages.
Liliaâs task in his dream is possibly a role that he filled in the real world: to deliver a letter from Princess Maleanor warning the humans to cease their ill-mannered conduct, search for delegates that have gone missing, and expel the human soldiers who are mining fae lands without having received permission to do so.
Lilia initially refuses to allow the group of Silver, Sebek, Grim and the prefect to join his troops, only acquiescing once Silver and Sebek manage to knock of his mask in a fight.
During their journey they come across personal belongings of missing Briarland envoys and do battle with human soldiers. While they do reach the citadel where they are to deliver their letter it is revealed to have been rigged with a trap that gives Lilia what is possibly a near-fatal wound when he rescues Silver, the human troops gone to besiege the castle of the fae princess, Maleanor, while Lilia was away.
Liliaâs remaining troops return to Maleanor where she greets Lilia by striking him repeatedly with lightning and refuses to heed his advice and retreat, commanding him to escape with her unborn child while she distracts the human troops.
Lilia refuses her heed her orders despite how she strikes both him and her egg with lightning to force his obedience, begging her to flee with him: âWhat am I to do if I lose both Raverne and you?â
Maleanor says that Lilia is to hatch her egg in her stead if she does not return despite how dragon eggs can only be hatched by their parentsâ magic and affection. Lilia claims that he knows nothing of parental affection and has never loved anyone and Maleanor reveals that this is untrue: he loved both her and Raverne, her husband, making it impossible for him to not love their child.
Maleanor has Lilia dragged forcibly from the castle, and when he insists on going back to her Baul (Sebekâs grandfather) convinces him to press on for the sake of saving the heir.
Their evacuation is interrupted by the Dawn Knight, who recognizes both Lilia and the egg he carries and still saves him from collapsing rubble, telling him to flee before he is spotted.
Lilia and Baul are pursued by human troops, with Baul volunteering to hold back a group of at least 15 soldiers on his own, despite Liliaâs protests: âItâs your head and the egg they want--neither of which we can let these wretched creatures have.â
Lilia is still captured by human soldiers, saved from imminent execution by Silver. Lilia attempts to sacrifice himself for Silver to take the egg on alone but Silver refuses, carrying Lilia on his back to the capital.
They are joined again by Baul and Sebek, and upon reaching the castle Lilia declares his intent to return to Maleanor, but then it is revealed that the princess has died, presumably slain by the Dawn Knight.
Briarlandâs senate blames Lilia for her death, shaming him for failing to protect her and insulting him for being a useless âdirty batâ and banishing him from the capital despite Baulâs attempts to defend him. Lilia resigns from his post and Malleus is taken away from him.Â
Lilia says, âThereâs no place for me here anymoreâŠno one left to protect,â his despair drawing darkness that swallows him.Â
In a continuation of the dream and/or flashback we see Lilia called to the castle by Queen Maleficia 10 years later, in secret, as Malleus is refusing her magic infusions and is in danger of dying if a solution cannot be found. Lilia travels the world at Maleficiaâs behest (communicated through Baul) to search for a way to hatch Malleus, despite how fae seem to be violently unwelcome in human cities, as âfoul monsters.â
Lilia periodically visits the egg, which periodically accepts magic.
After finding an unspecified location that took him years to reach Liliaâs unique magic manifests: the ability to see the memories of objects.
While the place where Lilia is at this point in the dream is not named, it is an identical background that appeared during Spectral Soiree: a location in the spectral realm called âSleepless Castle.â
According to Silver, Lilia traveled to the spectral realm because âhis work once led him to the border between life and death,â but it is not specified if Liliaâs visit to the spectral realm and the place where he discovered his unique magic in his efforts to hatch Malleus are connected.
Over time Lilia comes across humans who do not react with violence or anger upon realizing he is fae, telling Malleus that there are fewer people who throw stones at him, and there is a lot he wants to show Malleus when he is born.
Lilia receives a sudden communication from Baul saying that Malleus may not survive until the next full moon, as he has stopped accepting the queenâs magic for three months, his heartbeat has weakened and anyone who approaches him gets repelled by intense lightning strikes.
Lilia alone is capable of hearing Malleus crying inside of his egg and goes to him despite the lightning strikes, realizing that Malleus is lonely. Lilia offers up his magic and his life and Malleus finally hatches, will Silver observing that it was the happiest moment in Liliaâs life.
The senate appears and begins to praise Lilia for his efforts, calling him a hero, at which point Lilia begins to wake up due to the contrast with reality, where he was actually abused for daring to touch the royal heir, with Malleus again taken away from him.
With his in-dream birth Malleus is able to manifest in Liliaâs dream and reveals he was never told any of the sacrifices that Lilia made for him, and Lilia fully awakens.
Lilia sends the group of Silver, Sebek, Grim and the prefect away in order to distract Malleus alone.
(This summary is also available on twstnote!)
