9. Who travels lighter? I think they both travel exceptionally light tbh. If anything, though, Daniel is probably able to travel long distances with a lot less because he's so used to doing it from the chase years with Armand. Louis, on the other hand, says he has no need for frivolous material possessions, but he needs at least one bag of Comfort Books with him at all times when he's traveling.

12. Who prefers calling to texting? Louis prefers to call. He'll do just about anything to avoid texting, he absolutely hates it. Daniel's boomer ass tends to prefer calling as well, although there are situations when he feels much more articulate over text. With someone like Louis, I think Daniel would actually default to text, because it's easier to sound more in control and less like a bumbling idiot (which is what he feels like when talking to Louis 90% of the time). (And yes, it still does freak him out when Louis cold calls him out of nowhere)

Sleeping/cuddling positions? @apoptoses has turned me into a Cuddle Bug Daniel truther asdgfhghsejf meanwhile I've always headcanoned that Louis mostly sleeps flat on his back in true Corpse Mode. He doesn't tend to seek out cuddles, especially when he's in an enclosed space with someone else, because I always feel like he'd have just a twinge of leftover claustrophobia lingering, but when Daniel snuggles up to him, he'll absolutely bury his face in his hair and maybe even pull him closer :)

40. Who is the skilled shopper for holidays? Who always waits ‘til the last minute to get all of their gifts? I'm gonna give this one to Daniel, actually! Daniel strikes me as the kinda guy who prides himself in giving really thoughtful gifts.

Louis, of course, is very thoughtful as well, but he doesn't necessarily have the skill or motivation for tracking things down like Daniel does. In my heart, Daniel is an eBay girlie— he'll find gadgets from the 80s that Armand used to love, and just the most ecclectic things from the depths of the internet. Meanwhile Louis is just like. Daniel, help, I need to find someone who can re-create a pair of boots from 1792. Where is the nearest cobbler.

yossarian wasn't the lewis family's first cat. simon's dad had a cat who the kids grew up with and who outlived mr. lewis by a couple years. losing that cat was especially hard on simon, who had obviously been the youngest when his dad died and who was kinda mourning anew for him as well as the cat. enter: a stray who wandered into luke's bookshop. when luke saw how much simon opened up with the cat, he let the kid take the stray, which he had already taken to calling yossarian, home. (after confirming with mrs. lewis ofc)

Someone they can't stand: Ngl though Pina cares about Kanna, she also is a source of frustration for her. She doesn't have memories of her time alongside Kanna in her past life, so Kanna's familiarity gets on her nerves. She doesn't like being read so well by someone she doesn't know herself, and she's always taken pride in curating an image for others. Kanna looking beyond that is positively annoying!

Someone she lost: Also Kanna! -7- though she doesn't realize it or even care much...and in a way they are still around one another. Their relationship is just very different. Kanna is close yet strangely distant. She provides for Pina and obviously adores her, but emotionally, she seems to try and be reserved.

Source of trauma: her childhood was a big source of trauma, being treated like dirt simply due to her being a half elf. It made her very determined to change the way people treated her ...

Was there any specific point / any specific moment that suddenly made this character your Blorbo, or did you slowly grow to love them more and more until they became a Blorbo to you?

I don't know if there was a specific point, but I can tell you that I got absolutely obsessed with Louis through tumblr rp haha! I originally started writing Louis just so that I could write opposite a Lestat rper that I really loved at the time. I was mostly interested in Lestat, and just wanted a way to interact with the character, so I thought, sure, let's use this rando guy as a self-insert so we can write shippy stuff with Lestat LMAO!

Lo and behold, the more I wrote him, the more I absolutely fell in love with him.

In terms of my experience actually reading through the books, I don't think it was really until QOTD that I realized just how much I missed Louis. Like I do very vividly remember the first time I read that description of Louis from Marius' POV ("the gift of knowing others' suffering, with which Louis had probably been born") and it made my heart ache so bad, I was like DAMN! WAIT! I MISSED THIS GUY! KEEP TALKING ABOUT HIM!!!

“oh shit,” stevie whistles, already paddling out to where luciel’s board went flying up in the air. concern holds onto him in a grip until he sees luciel’s head bob out of the water. the other has laughter all over his face that has stevie snickering as he glides over to him. “you good, man? that fall looked rough.” 

luciel sputters up a cough, but he’s laughing too. stevie’s smile builds two fold, and the two busy themselves with dragging luciel’s board back. “lost my footing,” luciel explains, expression sheepish. “and i wobbled on the turn and well…” he sighs, the sound drowned out by the water around them. “well, you see how that went.”

“you did really good up until there, though.” stevie points out. “most people don’t even make it to the curve. i think you’ve got a decent chance in the tournament just based on that.” surfing is something that takes trial and error, a long learned lesson of patience and risk that he wouldn’t trade for the world. 

at luciel’s expression of uncertainty, stevie paddles closer. “or we can blame it on the wave! it screwed you over. the next one will be smooth sailing!” stevie sits up a bit, grinning when he can see the ghost of a smile build on the other’s face. “c’mon, i’ll even do it with you. i can lead it, if you prefer.”

“no,” luciel shakes his head, sitting up on his own board and gearing himself up. “i can do it.” and he does sound a lot more confident then he looked a few moments prior. he’s already looking out for the next wave, and his form looks so sure of himself that stevie wants to shed a tear. they grow up so fast. 

he’s wiping away a stray tear (he didn’t actually tear up, seriously! it was just a little seawater!) when luciel points out to the distance. “what about there?” he asks, and stevie doesn’t have time to properly respond, quickly going to follow the other as he peers out to where he gestured. when he sees the wakes and the size of them, stevie grins. 

“hooh! now we’re talking!”
