Call me crazy but my rewatch of GSNK has left me thinking that I would kill for it to have a crossover with OHSHC

One of my favorite genres of person is "unassuming cishet guy who's friends with a ton of trans women because of the specific kind of geek he is." You will find these guys throughout the board, ttrpg and video gaming communities. Sometimes he has a bestie who transitioned 10+ years into their friendship and to whom he maintains ultimate bromantic loyalty. Sometimes that's just the fighting game Discord he wound up on. He's some fucking nerd and the dolls love him.

On the topic of good horror books

The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson is beautifully written and has plenty of things for your brain to chew on, both while you're reading, and after you've turned the last page (and yes, there is mind fuckery that progressively gets worse in a good way)

I first read it roughly three years ago and I still think about it to this day and want to re-read it

i actually read the haunting of hill house this year!!! it's legit one of the best haunted house and unreliable narrative narratives i've come across, and there's just suck a flow to the writing and a charm to the characters (between all the fucked up shit i mean),,, i think i binged the audio book in one or two days and just. immediately restarted it because i was simply Still Reeling and not ready for it to be over.

i would also highly recommend 'we have always lived in the castle' (also by shirley jackson), which is more murder mystery than haunted house but still has that kind of uncanny, 'something is clearly wrong here but we simply must get to brunch' tone that makes hill house so compelling. i think shirley jackson just slaps in general, would love to know what her deal with fucked up houses is but i'm willing to continue on in ambiguity.

So I'm finally back again. It's been a minute since I have posted anything...the art block hit so hard it had made me praying to the universe. I legit forgot how to draw 💀 but i guess the lack of nerdkuna content has me finally overcoming my art block🙃🙃 (i think so... I'm cooking something)

But guys..why aren't we talking more about the nerd of nerds!?! This guy couldn't bear the missing seasonal words! This is the same guy who geeks out on other's jujutsu technique mid fight! You cannot tell me he wouldn't start to yap about the history or science and philosophy behind anything of his interests just at the small mention of it (even in modern AU's).

This world really does treat us fat people like we’re an annoyance, a freak show, side characters in every movie, never considered sexy or desired (because there’s no way that Hollywood would ever consider this). Clothes in the store, always the best-friend, constantly making jokes before anyone else will. Doesn’t matter how we try, what we do - we will always be treated this way by a majority of society unless we are this idealized version of thin. Every so often I’m reminded of this, and it stinks.
