#kingdom hearts#ienzo#library of ruina#project moon#yes this IS based on the pinocchio battle from library of ruina#it's a long story. i was supposed to draw this in july 2023. i didn't. there’s a whole dnd gimmick battle to go with it#me art#me post#pinocchio lor's tactics are pretty similar to zexion's in both re:com and kh2fm#copying your card deck (though zexion steals them instead of just copying them)#and changing the costs of your cards (can be compared to how zexion fucks with your ui in 2fm)#thematically relates less to xemnas's control and more to how zexion feels he is a creature of darkness#hence taking on shadow heartless features#wooden puppets hang from the ceiling in the background of pinocchio's battle and ive placed a hole in a suspicious place on each of them#aaand he's a child because pinocchio is a child#pinocchio lor specifically has the traits “curious” “copycat” and “liar”#which. ienzo :)#do you guys like the color palette I use for like every zexienzo drawing I do#not actually a question. I’m not going to stop using it#I CONSTANTLY forget to turn off red eye mode on my computer while drawing so it’s probably more blue than intended#I don’t really care though

Ended up experimenting with some brushes and techniques + a few design thoughts for Five Pebbles! I'm a big fan of messing around with shapes for heads, since there's no reason iterators couldn't've had some funky head shapes.
The last image is all experiments with a grain brush and the lasso tool! The iterator on the left is mostly just to test things, but I find the head and antennae particularly satisfying. It and the two greyscale slugcats (bottom uninfluenced by canon slugcats, top influenced by Rivulet) are all freeform, whereas Moon, Pebbles, and Sig were all made on top of a guiding sketch. I'm particularly pleased with the vibe that Moon's gives!
Perhaps I'll experiment a little more with brushes again. For now, I think I'm settling into Moon's outfit--particularly the luna moth inspired shawl/cape--but it definitely needs to be worked on sometime.

i love spending so much time developing world building stuff like the ecosystem and culture of a fake early 2000's exclusive gore forum for my horror novel instead of actually writing chapters lol
#im just currently really in a I Need to Develop everything before i get to deep into writing phase#i have some draft chapters but i am having fun developing the dark web ecosystem that is semi-integral to the plot#ive spent too long thinking of the logistics of it and how it would work and develop over time#which is both fucked up but fun to flesh out#like creating moderators and regular users on this forum like what kind of fucked up people exist on this place#coming up with hyperspecific jargon and terms that develop in this essentially closed ecosystem#my word docs look absolutely insane lmao#eventually i want to do like UI mockups for fun whether really accurate for the time and capabilities bc designing UI is an interest of min#i always feel weird publicly talking about anything related to my writing since its horror focused but this is my main thing atm#like the writing falls into transgressive horror which is probably why im less inclined to speak on it publicly#so i will shout into the void that is my tags#i just love horror i love writing horror#azael ranting
