It doesn't seem real, how bad this game is. I doubt my own memory. But I WAS THERE.

Unpopular opinion: Rayman fans are weak

ubisoft is a shitty company but not making another blorbo game isn't a federal offense

Not to mention Rayman doesn't really have an identity as a game series (if that makes sense?) due to the lack of consistency between entries

I don't think Rayman needs to go the KH route where each game is a piece of a single expanding story but compared to other gaming characters there's no foundation for it stand on , I think Origins/Legends was an attempt to do that but the direction they picked was kinda unoriginal

Quick edit: I'm not gonna change my original answer but rereading this post made me realise anon was a bit mean when talking about Rayman fans. I am sorry for not realising that when I originally answered and do want to point out I don't think people are "weak" for wanting a new Rayman game. I just personally think Rayman ran his course already and unless Unisoft actually attempts to take his lore seriously, I think we should just do our own thing with Rayman

Okay so this isn't paid promotion at all, I'm just very happy. I know that baldurs gate 3 is impossible to run on older laptops and computers and the same with mine. But a few days ago, I researched how to help and GeForce Now popped up. It basically outsources the hardware to a rig that has the specifications, and you stream your game from there. It's still your game, you link it to your steam/Unisoft/epic games account so your hours ans achievements in game are logged. Legit went from impossible lag to playing on ultra high settings.

The drawback is that it is a monthly payment thing, so there's three tiers, for free, priority and uhhh... It's called... Legacy? No fuckin idea.

But I'm paying for priority rn and it's £8 a month, so I can have 6 hour streaming session (in one sitting. They'll let you know when you've reached the end of a singular stream and then you stop playing for a bit and then continue after a moment). It's also super good quality. Honestly, go for it if you're struggling with the specs, they have legitimately most games on there, esp new releases AND OBVIOUSLY only do it if you got the cash for it. I'm just super happy with it.

i got avatar frontiers to work on my pc on medium settings and let me tell u. medium settings or not this is probably the most beautiful game ive ever seen. its nuts. idk what ppl are saying abt it being badly optimized bc my 10 yr old pc and slightly above minimum video card is running it like butter. theres no loading screens between outside and inside and most things anyway are outside

the animal ai is sick. they hunt each other. they react to how youre behaving. they play and eat and move around immersively. this is the most Alive game ive ever seen, everything feels so organic and so real its crazyY. hunting and tracking is probably some of the most immersive in gaming. theres weak spots for all of them, ways to kill them which are clean or mercyful or both. theres several deat animations. theres about a billion species that ive seen and thats not even most of them. apart from the big animals theres so many diffferent bugs and birds and crawly things and lizards and whatever else. theres so many biomes??? theres little encyclopedias for all the plants and animals!!! the supply and food gathering system keeps track of the time of day, weather, and how carefully you remove the material and how you pull on it??? the million and one crazy designs for plants and animals????

the weather system is *mwah* theres so many dif kinds of weather and the storms! the storms are so dramatic, everything swings and moves with the high winds and rain...,,, the sounds,,, the most atmospheric storms ive ever caught in a game they seriously give u the real life feelings of i need to get tf inside. and this changes the behavior of animals too which is why you hear dialogue abt not hunting in the storm bc animals take shelter!!

nevermind anything else the ecology and atmosphere is fucking insane. this is an absolute artistic feat on unisofts part which they deserve all the credit for. they did not fuck around at all when it came to the world. again ive never seen a game not only so beautiful but so alive

No more " you can choose" . Give me a woman born in the brotherhood like the frye but let me see her grow up in it. Childhood training mission. First kill. Introduction to the council and the creed. Being "brainwash" in believing she is doing good.

Or make her a commoner, a child brought into the creed and who realize that all the people at the top of the brotherhood are often aristocrats who never had to let go of their freedom to live the next day.

Let her be devoted to the cause let me see her be even a bit naive in what she believes.

Then let her grow like you let ezio and altair do. Make her cocky but also wise. Not just a living punchlines machine or a disapproving female figure. Do not make her relation to a man the core of her story.

Show her question what she is doing. Make her afraid of being shun by the brotherhood, the only thing, the only rules and life she ever knew. Let her fight for what she knows is a good cause but not what she believes in anymore. Let her loose and get hurt.

Let her rebuild herself. Let her be friend with historic people who are more than cameo and merchants npc and show her what fighting from freedom can mean. What living for yourself can mean.

Show her habits. Show her discovering small pleasures in life that are seen wasteful as an assassin : Her favourite food. Her favourite book.

Make her assassin robes evolve as her fashion tastes and identity evolve too.

The art style does not fit.

The tone is completely incorrect.

Fantasy land with surgery scars.

Body sliders that do nothing.

Complete disregard of past choices.

Lore breaking. I don't even want to get to the whole Qunari and grey warden lore. They don't care, so whatever.

Absolutely horrible dialogues. From the clip I watched, the two companions basically just rephrased what the MC said. At the moment I was like, I can write better than that.

Story is stupid, you can tell from the game play trailer. A wooden log disrupts a grand ritual, and no one was there to defend Solus.... like make it make sense.

I feel almost silly getting this upset over a game, but maker preserve me… I'm genuinely heartbroken. This franchise was such a significant part of my youth, and seeing it butchered like this just hits different. At this point, I've lost all hope - and please, just keep the filthy hands off of Mass Effect!

My favorite game genre is simulation, and I play RPG mainly for the story and romances. In theory, I should be easy to please - give me a coherent story and some attractive characters to draw fan art of, right? But apparently even that's too much to ask these days. I'll still play it because I'm a hardcore fan, but part of me wishes it would flop just so they'd stop mishandling beloved IPs.

RIP Bioware, RIP Bethesda, RIP Unisoft, RIP Blizzard, RIP my youth.

Can't wait for Inzoi to drop so I can ceremoniously yeet my thousands of dollars' worth of Sims 4 expansion packs into the flames. And hey, Electronic Arts - thanks for the memories, but RIP. For real this time.

There are so many other issues with this game and they're mad about story modes and returning characters... How about we talk about the scam that is just dance+, or the horrific scoring from 2023 that they're reusing for 2024, and (something I personally just don't prefer) how leveling up/achievements is the only way to get customizable outside of seasons

I just miss the gacha system they used in jd2020(? I don't remember which one I played it on my gfs switch lol) because it was more fun for me, and the achievements are fun too I just have a preference

I also don't like how when I play on the same device as my sister she doesn't get a character card with her own title/background etc, she just gets to pick her character,, I really liked just dance 2020(still dunno if this is right) if u can't tell

Why does everyone hate that just dance is reusing the coahes for a storyline omg. 1: we all knew this was gonna happen months ago, and 2: stop acting like that's all 2024 is gonna have. Just because they're promoting the story mode songs doesn't mean that's all they're putting into the game, god forbid they take pride in their lore and cater to a new audience.
