at this point i have to assume the ongoing chest pain is from living in this fucking house

One of my big compulsions is taking a fuck ton of screenshots Just In Case a piece of information is important in like 4 years and I can't remember it (sometimes the information is an instagram post that I might not remember later and of course needs to be recorded everywhere (I will Not be looking at that again)) so today is my transfer 16000 images off my phone admin day (woo)

Like yeah I never looked at any of them and they were completely irrelevant to my daily life, But what if I need them ✨️ later ✨️ (you'll see that the idea of Later is doing a lot of heavy lifting here) OR what if there's a vital piece of information in the mix somewhere that I'll lose forever if I delete them? So: onto the external hard drive they go

This is one of those cases where. Yeah. Ideally I wouldn't take 16000 screenshots in half a year. And YEAH ideally I'd just delete them and not transfer them somewhere else to never look at again. BUT at least I get a clean slate and I can maybe not mindlessly save everything for 2 seconds. It's like. Small wins? Progress. Yknow.

Whoever designed my new local library is not seeing heaven

#it's just one massive industrial style room #stone floors high unfinished ceilings...#if two people are having a conversation on the other side of the room you can hear it as well as if they were standing right next to you #since there's just one big room the children's section is also in there which means there's always crying babies and screaming kids #there's a couple tables you can sit and study at but it's SO loud in there I was wearing my loop earplugs and I still couldn't focus #AND THERE'S A VIDEO GAMING STATION RIGHT NEXT TO ONE OF THE STUDY AREAS #whyyyy didn't they make the kids library and play area a separate room from the rest of the library when they designed it 😭😭😭#and they were so focused on matching the industrial aesthetic that they created an absolutely unusable library #imagine designing a public library and not thinking about user experience 💀#this pisses me off so bad #personal

I honestly had not realized how much $80 dollars was until I converted it to my country's currency. $1600 pesos for a game is actually crazy.

Either way I wasn't gonna get the Switch 2 at launch because of the games. Mario Kart World looks great and I would love to play it someday, but there really isn't a single first party game that makes me want to buy it yk?

I feel like everything is a new version of something that already exists. Kind of like how TOTK was to BOTW?? Like it was really cool at first but then I got to a point where I was went "below the surface this is basically just BOTW."

Like why play Mario Kart World or Kirby Air Riders when I've already got Mario Kart 8? (Yeah, the visuals are better and the open world stuff sounds so cool, and Sakuari is directing the new Kirby, but the gameplay elements are basically the same). Or Hyrule Warriors Imprisoning War when I have Age of Calamity? (it's basically the same gameplay, it'd only be a new story) And don't even get me started on BOTW and TOTK witch 2 editions 😭 why should I buy them on a Switch 2 when I already have them on my Switch?? it's literally the same game and they want to charge even more - the extra stuff isn't even IN-game, it's more attached to the phone app. Plus, the Switch 2 itself feels like what TOTK was to BOTW, it's got some very slight improvements but really, Nintendo only added voice chat and pretended it was something revolutionary.

curious about how the price announcements might be affecting people's opinions like I was considering buying until i heard the game pricing and now I'm just not going to bc we can't let them think that's okay

#but what about-#yeah I know switch 2 has graphical improvements but I literally have never cared what framerate my games run on #unless they were INCREDIBLY glitchy (i'm talking basically unusable) but none of them were on the switch #why would anyone pay that much to see Breath of the Wild run at 60 fps 💀#only game that looks like something completely new is donkey kong but I've never been a fan of the character that much so I don't rlly care #I'll probably buy the switch 2 when they release the next mainline Zelda game #I think at this point it's the one thing that could possibly make me buy it #nintendo #switch 2
