HELP! Power outage fried my hard drives!

Update: I managed to repair my drives thanks to some help I got on the tech support SubReddit. I used a Windows Installation USB! Ran 'chkdsk /f /r' from the command line for each drive and after hours of scanning, they were mountable again! ; v ;

I'm backing up all my files to my old laptop now. They'll exist in at least three places at all times from now on. I'm not taking any chances.

I'm still gonna need that backup drive, because now I'm really worried about the stability of these disks after what happened, so thank you so much for your donations ;v;. I'm glad I won't need to shell out for data recovery because I hear it can get pricey D: There was a power outage and now both my main drive where I store all Everblue related things and my backup drive stopped working (they are no longer readable/mountable). They're both hard disks, so I'm not super worried about the data being completely gone, but if I want to keep working on Everblue, I need those files ;<; I need to get myself a big USB drive so I can make a backup image of the drives and send the originals off for data recovery, but I'm basically flat broke right now...

I have a ko-fi where you can donate to help me get that backup drive if you want, but signal boosting this post also helps! I've never been so scared of losing my comic. I have 20 years of project files on those drives. I never thought both my main data drive AND the backup would go at the same time, aah, this is so messed up ;-;

Therefore, feel free to finish your playthroughs first. The update will remove reported typos and bugs, that might have caused skipped scenes and non-triggered stats.

IMPORTANT!

I changed the shopping scenes so that you can only buy 1 daily outfit per destination (luxe or 2nd hand). The party outfits will be offered for purchase a bit later. It helps with cleaning up the code (ugh I am such a noob still ngl) and allows me to insert it in a scene with company...yk, going shopping for a special night out. As a tiny apology I will add more outfit choices once the party outfits can be bought.

honestly i know on the surface theres not huge amounts exciting about this next update/drop or whatever theyre calling them rn. (honestly im calling them updates sure, 1.21.5) but i really like the direction its heading.

i'll be real i don't have strong opinions on the movement thing but i'm glad community wise it was reverted, mojang really need to work on their communcation game. ignoring those changes,

they're making a lot of what people would know as the "optifine texture pack" features a thing in vanilla, resource packs will be able to like, change textures based on names and enchantment on items. Animals can have spawn variants based on biome temperature and also just like, different variants built in. and this is probably just the start!

oh and blocking with swords and maybe other items coming back? damage blocked being changable? sick, fire, amazing I love it.

idk theres a lot of underlying changes i think are really useful for the game as a platform for creation which is the best way to look at minecraft :3

He so I have been thinking about gravity falls for obvious reasons, and I was rereading the lost journal pages that are in tbob and I just realized that in a tale of two stans, when ford tells Stan to go as far away from him as possible, instead of going with him he was also trying to protect him from bill, because and spoilers if you haven’t read it

Bill is absolutely still going into his body and fucking shit up, hurting him, messing up his reputation in town, the works, and I don’t doubt that if Ford were to have gone with Stan or tried to stay with him, or anyone else for that matter(you know rely on them have a good relationship with them), that bill would have tried to kill them when Ford fell asleep, so that he would have nothing and no one but him(he’d have to talk to bill eventually if he had no one else, is what I think the thought process would be). All of this is what has caused me to see that moment in an even more heartbreaking and tragic light
