Richard could often be found around old science buildings and research centres. He was always searching, always fascinated by the science before the bombs fell. He couldn't always make sense of it, but that was fine. He was just happy to find anything, some things even helped improve quality of life.

He'd found many things in his time, but what he had never found was a body, at least not belonging to someone still alive. Leaning over the woman, he tapped her cheek gently, trying to wake her. "Can you hear me?"

"Not until I'm sure you are safe," Emma retorted, checking behind them again; she wasn't the best of snipers, truthfully, she was much better at close-combat, or at best with a pistol, but she'd give it her best try. "We are safe. Whatever," she corrected herself, not having meant to sound so knight-in-shiny-armor-y. Ironic, considering who he was.

She took a few difficult steps in his direction, but instead of sitting to rest she put a hand on his shoulder: "Look, Maximus... you should go. I mean... just... start going without me, I'll catch up with you. Right now I can only slow you down, I don't have any stimpacks left."

"You think you saved my life?" Her voice is incredulous and her eyebrows raise- Jill has to turn away for a second. Maybe her poker face isn't as good after all that fighting. It's not like she was expecting them to get her mask off. And fine, she guessed that he had helped, but she didn't need the help.

There's the slightest bit of color to the tops of her cheeks, but the furrow of her brow and the downturn of her lips show the anger just below the surface. "Why do you think I need help anyway!" A step towards him as the frown gets deeper. "Is it because I'm a woman."

Norm MacLean didn't like that he felt like a coward so he decided to be the head bitch. The moment. The brains behind the operation. Who's operation? His operation because this is his show now. The entire show could've just been his arc in the vault and I would have been happy. He brings the brains. The cunning. The Perception, even. He never quite felt right with the culture of vault 33 and the more he uncovers the more that makes sense for him. He is bringing the sheer force of will now that he has something to be willful about. He never lacked ability. Only motivation and ob boy does he have it. He hid in a hole once then decided no. Im not a baby brother hiding in a hole. Im the badass staring Vault-Tec in the eye who says I fucking dare you. And i find that incredibly sexy of him.

"The funny thing is... he never even slapped me. His words were more than enough. And I have had plenty men try to kill me, but it's him I dream about doing it. I don't get it." She didn't say that they had gotten married in those dreams, that she somehow knew they had spent decades together in her personal hell. "You can't tell anyone." A wasteland full of monsters, and it was her ex boyfriend that she had nightmares about.
