Beach Episode OG Tag ✨️

It's gonna take a long, long time but I just realized with horror and glee that I will eventually have the opportunity to write a 'beach episode' in my WIP 🌐7 Circles🌐 😂

So with that on my mind have another new tag game:

What would your ocs do in a beach episode? 🌊⛱️

Can they swim? Any activities they would particularly love or hate?

Kazimier 💋

Can't swim, never learned. Hates the sand. Doesn't like bright sun. Would spend her time under an umbrella drinking and judging people. Would shapeshift into a feminine body for the sole purpose of wearing a racy sexy swimsuit.

Klaus 🌻

He grew up in a desert and has probably never seen the ocean. His fae side would take over and he would be playing in the water, watching sea critters with wonder, and having (literal) magic moments with local plants while soaking up the sun.

Valian 🐁

He can doggy paddle, his thin little tail acting as a clumsy rudder. He can eat a surprising amount of watermelon and happily monches on slices- seeds, rind, and all- while watching the waves. Might pick a fight with a crab (he'd win though).

Seeker 🌠

Can swim, but struggles with cold seawater. Seeker spends time with each of the three others; laying out towels to lounge with Kaz, squealing as seaweed moves like snakes to Klaus' magic, and slicing watermelon to hand to Val. I think Seeker would be into building sandcastles and the other three would help in one way or another.

🍁 MAPLE LEAF - what is their favourite season? why?

nerve didn't grow up with a temperate climate, but they like rain and they love watching plants grow, so they preferred the rainy season to the dry season and of the four, spring would've been their favorite.

emily-claire likes fall. she thinks it's really pretty when the leaves change color. she enjoys cooler weather but finds snow to be more of a nuisance than anything, so winter is not it.

🙉 HEAR-NO-EVIL - what is the worst thing your oc could hear from someone?

nerve has lived enough to have thick skin and few insecurities by the time the audience meets them, i don't think anything a stranger could say would hurt more than a paper cut, but val is her best friend and if she were to say she wishes they'd never met... oh boy.

emily-claire would fall apart if you accused her of being selfish.

🖍️ CRAYON - what advice would you give to them?

nerve may be one of my only ocs who would not benefit from anything i could tell them, they know better than i do, so let's talk emily-claire... well, this is pretty much the core message of her character, but i would tell her there are things more important than work and she'll live to regret sacrificing them for the sake of a promotion.

☄️ COMET - what do people assume about them? are they right?

nerve comes across as a well-meaning mad scientist type, happy-go-luck with a sharp wit, and that's just about right. they spent many years trying to be a perfect, clean-cut drone and it got them nowhere, so now they're living by their own rules and they're going to be unapologetically themself. they hide their fear and uncertainties very well, especially around their patients — it's all part of the beside manner — but they'll open up when the timing and company is right.

Just came up with oshimarks for my magical girl OCs! I love how they look on social media sites and I love seeing social media AUs, so I thought it'd be a fun character-building exercise!

Valka/Actress Espoir--☄️🥅 (the comet is for her blue fire-based powers and the net represents her civilian job as an offensive player in her world's fictional sport; I especially like this one because it looks like she's shooting the comet into the goal)

Omega/Actress Bijou--🌈⚡(she has lightning powers, so both represent before/after the rain)

Io/Actress Chevalier--🎬🖕(her hobby is filmmaking and she's got a delinquent personality, so I just had to give her a middle finger emoji)

Koto/Actress Platine--🪐🎻 (her powers are asteroid/space-themed and Val already has the comet, plus she also plays the violin)

Stelle--🌪️🫰 (she has air powers based specifically around storms; the finger heart is more for fun and something I could see her using)

Xue/Actress Ame--💭❤️‍🩹 (she's an empath/psych major and these were the first ones that came to mind for that)

Xing/Actress Lueur--❤️‍🔥🎸 (as a rock star fire elemental, I can't see her picking anything but these)

Phea/Actress Nymphea--🪷⚜️ (the water lily is her namesake and trademark symbol as a model, and I thought the fleur-de-lis would be the sort of emoji a model would use on social media)

Kaine--🌒💋 (moon-themed 30-something magical lady with a bit of a goth streak, self-explanatory)

what is one comfort meal that'll change your whole mood for the day?

Braedon: Anything with salmon.

Valerie: Oh no, here comes your spiel with salmon; your one true love. (she starts to laugh)

Braedon: Shut it Val. I know you don't like it as much, but still. The chef that makes it, he always makes it so tender. The juiciness you get from it is exquisite. And it is always a pleasure to try it with anything, a salmon cake, salmon with pasta. But even having it by itself, smoked makes it all the more pleasurable.

if you could eliminate one piece of produce, meat, dairy or sweets off the earth what would it be?

Valerie: Simple, salmon. Hahaha, ahh! (Braedon goes and shakes her.)

Braedon: You're just saying that, aren't you!? (Valerie is still laughing)

Jules: Guys, I don't get what's with the both of you and salmon, but really, coffee and chocolate's the worst. (Braedon goes and twists towards Jules)

Braedon: You guys are killing me. Both of you.

Jules: What? Do you want to see us all killed? (Braedon's eyes narrows) We get you have a tolerance for it, but still. Most of us don't. One piece and... (They put their thumb through their neck and bend their neck down.)

Braedon: Right. And that's basically a drug. (small pause) That's fair.

and dessert is normally saved for last, but if you could what would you order for your entree at a restaurant?

Braedon: Savory first. Always. If you have seafood, give it to me. If you have pasta... Give it to Valerie. She loves pasta.

Valerie: Hey...! You like pasta too.

Braedon: Yes, but only if it's mixed with meat or seafood, and vegetables.

Valerie: And I don't just like pasta, I like all of those organs they have. Liver, brains, kidneys...

Braedon: I still don't understand on how you like all of these sorts of stuff. That's just... Ugh.

Jules: Hey. There's nothing better than having seaweed with liver stuffed inside and eyeballs staring back at you.

Braedon: You. Don't encourage her.

cooking is a life skill, why haven't you started learning yet!?

Jules: Never have the chance to. I always foraged. Or I was taken care of once upon a time.

Valerie: Same, minus the foraging. When you're in a castle, you're always lucky to have someone to cook your meals. I mean, I can't say that I haven't tried learning to cook, but it was more when dad was around. But since he's not around...

what is one comfort meal that'll change your whole mood for the day?

Ali’s baklava. It’s got a flaky, buttery crust that just melts on your tongue, a thin layer of chocolate and hazelnut spread between the sheets of sweet dough, topped with a thin drizzle of hot, chocolate syrup and powdered sugar. Sometimes, he adds a few sliced banana to it and the flavor is, mmmm. ✨-Noah (YWIMC)

what is an experience (good or bad) that has turned you off or on to a food completely?

Oh God, I cringe at the memory….Harley had me go fishing for our meal once, and the squish of fish fry between my fingers is a feeling I will not soon forget. The smell of raw fish, bait, rust from the sea-weathered equipment. Ugh. I’ll stick with potatoes and fruit, thank you very much. I know Peter will try to force me to eat a protein, but I can’t stomach looking at the face of a dead fish. Mmmm…perhaps if it was in a stew…..-Benjamin (Peter Hart)

Oh Gosh!! Off of all of EARTH? Mmmm…that’s a tough one…..do drinks count? I’d get rid of all that gross alcohol immediately. It burns my throat and makes me feel dizzy. And…maybe dark roast coffee. It’s waaaaay too bitter….unless you add a lot of cream, sugar, milk, caramel….chocolate….

•||Fan Class Botanist belongs to me! They are an old oc that I'm finally taking time to talk about more! Please note they are not a sona; I say this because they have a shaved head which may make them look similar to one of my sonas from when I personally shaved my own head, I made Botanist long before the hair change and I no longer have a shaved head and will update my personal sona soon enough. I liked this better as a sketch so I digitalized it that way, however at a later date I may actually clean up and add color to my favorite piece from this sketch.||

Range of Emotions Tag Game ✨️

Bonus points if the emotion is implied. If there’s a reason the character does not ever express one of those emotions, feel free to share that reasoning instead.

Using my OC 🌠Seeker🌠 for these questions, from my WIP 🌐7 Circles🌐

I put these puppies in story-order so they'll make more sense.

Sadness 🌠 (Chapter 2: A Fallen Star)

Outside the stone enclosure the wind picks up with a somber moan, making Leo’s words come out quieter. “We.. we didn’t make it to the crash site in time. I’m so sorry.” Seeker chokes on their breath, their four hands trembling, two come up to cover their face while two fall limp into their lap. They shake their head as their lungs gasp for air that suddenly feels too thin. No. No! That’s not possible. He's so strong, a warrior, there has to be a mistake- a misunderstanding. He couldn't be...  "And I'm sorry for what comes next, Seeker." Leo says, jaw tightening. "The first district has been ever so eager to meet you- ... an' they'll be here soon- Very soon. An'- An' dodging them will do more harm than good." He swims close, but seems so far away. "Ya seem a nice person, Seeker, an' since you’re from the Outlands you need to know-" Suddenly, his voice becomes a whisper, "-don't challenge the demons."

Embarrassment 🌠 (Chapter 4: You're Very Welcome)

A person, some ways down from where they stood, scrubs at the white stone wall of the capitol... Their hair is white as the marble they clean with diligence, and their skin is a shade warmer than Seeker's own, green as the plantlife surrounding them. The Kalilith doesn't hear as one of Halcyon's rulers replies, wonderstruck. "One of our PAs," she says dismissively. "Is it what keeps him busy or just him that caught your attention?"  Seeker looks back to their host as if snapped out of a trance."-Oh! I... I was simply looking in admiration." they say, light purple tinging their pale blue cheeks and the tips of their ears. They scold themself for the distraction even as they drink in these drops of information- the beautiful person is a man, and some kind of staff for the capitol. "He is similar to my kind, which struck my interest. Pardon the interruption." they explain, their lower hands clasping behind them.

Fear 🌠 (Chapter 8: Response-Ability)

Seeker freezes as they see the triangular head of a coatl in Valians’ [sleepy] grasp, right near the ifrit’s face. Their stomach coils tightly. If they move quick, they could cast it from the closet but if they scared the reptile and weren’t fast enough it might bite him, what if they- No. Oh.. but.. but it has no scales, no feathers, it's just smooth and it’s green and.. and it's his tail. He has a tail.

Joy 🌠 (Chapter 8: Response-Ability)

Seekers west hand comes to still their heart. As the sound of the thump-thumping in their ears mellows, curiosity breathes- he has a tail! How did Seeker miss that? It’s not possible they would have- it’s a tail. Valian must have hid it away until he retired for the night. Did the tail require special protection and warmth? Did it get caught in doors if it wasn't tucked into his cute little sarouel pants?! Oh! Perhaps it’s a cultural observance of some kind!

Disgust 🌠 (Chapter 10: In Proper Behavior)

"First thing we gotta figure out is what you use me for." Seeker grimaces from the armchair across from him, their spine a ruler and their many hands folded in their lap. "Could you.. elaborate?" "You know, as your PA." Val reaches to the bowl of fruit on the table, grabs a cherry, and pops it in his mouth. "Am I just your general doormat? Are ya bruisin' me? Am I warmin' your bed?" Two of the four hands meet at Seekers lips like a prayer and they inhale sharply, closing their eyes. "I... don't know, Valian. Is there... one you think is best? More.. believable?"

Anxiety 🌠 (Chapter 12: The Social Grace)

The Duke leans forward in his seat as two figures step out into the coliseum center and a roar goes through the crowd. He taps an emblem on the table and a rectangle of light pops up, nearly making Seeker jump.  “Ah, so the program says the first round is a set of miscreants unfit for rehabilitation- one who refused to sign a contract, and one who assaulted their minder, oh dear me. Followed by terrorist vs. beast- always riveting. Then we have a Furie administering a punishment and- ooh, a public dispute, how lucky.” ��I’m sorry, what?” Seeker broaches as politely as they can, their stomach churning at what they think they’re hearing and hope that they aren’t.

Anger 🌠 (Chapter 12: The Social Grace)

"It's barbaric!" Seeker cries, pacing in the grand suite hours later. "Two people died and- and all they had the urge to do was applause?! And that beast..." "What, the unicorn?" quips Valian from his seat atop the kitchen counter, munching clean through an unpeeled kiwi. Seeker has felt a bitterness on their tongue all evening and they gnash their teeth, holding back the urge to spit. They can still hear the cheers of the crowd rolling through their ears- the laugh bleeting from the Rakshasa’s lips. "They congratulated themselves when it ran that pale woman through like it was a good deed done!" They hiss, their lower right hand clenching into a fist. ... "I can't believe how horrible he is! How they all are!" "Well, you're gonna have to figure out how to believe it before your next tour tomorrow." Val advises, talking around half a kiwi.
