┈➤ vampire!matt accidentally biting reader in the middle of eating her out..
pairing : vampire!matt x human!reader
warnings/contains : oral (f!receiving) , biting , i think that’s it ? (feel free to lmk if not !)
Soft, pleasure filled moans loudly elicited from your pink lips as you tug firmly on Matt’s hair, the pleasure feeling so amazing it felt as if you couldn’t take it anymore.
Matt groaned lustfully against your skin as his tongue lapped away as your sensitive pussy, mumbling something incoherent to you, it was along the lines of ‘you’re okay, jus’ let me continue, it’ll make you feel good’, but it was hard to determine exactly what he’d said because his words were muffled from the pressure he was inflicting against your dripping, drenched hole.
His tongue lapped greedily away at your pussy, prodding teasingly against your desperate entrance. His nose occasionally brushed against your clit, causing multiple moans to uncontrollably emerge from your mouth every time, your head pushed further into the pillow and your back arched off the bed whenever he did.
You felt nothing but pleasure. Even it it did feel a little unbearable at times, but it was unbearable in the best way possible.
Waves of ecstasy and euphoria glides through your body, creating the same feeling Matt did every time he ate you out. It felt amazing. It was pleasurable, full of desire and felt like magic.
But just as you felt your orgasm swiftly approaching, it was halted when you felt a sharp prodding sensation to the sides of the lips of your pussy. It didn’t hurt, but it was unusual, it was strange and unfamiliar.
You tried to ignore it as Matt kept going. But then you felt it again.
This time your body jolted upwards slightly, thrown off by the strange feeling.
And then you realised. Whenever Matt got excited or blood-thirsty, his sharp but cute little vampire fangs sneakily popped out.
Matt noticed your sudden change in motion as you lifted up, nearly sat straight. He looked up at you, his eyes filled his confusion and lust.
“What? —‘S something wrong?” He frowned.
As he spoke, his fangs became visible, confirming your guess that it was his teeth creating the weird feeling.
“Matt, you—your..teeth.” You chuckled softly, feeling slightly awkward after jolting up so suddenly.
“Huh?” It took him a second to realise. “Oh, oh! Sorry, ma.”
He tried to force them away, but the arrogant little sharp fangs stubbornly refused.
“—S okay,” you grinned slightly.
“D’you want to stop? We can continue another time.” He suggested softly, wanting to make sure you didn’t feel pressured to keep going if you were uncomfortable or scared, but he really, really, wanted to keep going.
“No, I want to keep going,” you began confidently with firm, certain nods of your head, leaning back again. “Jus’..be careful.” You laughed quietly.
“Will do.” He smirked, pleased, as his eyes ogled at the sight between your legs, like a starving man.
Before you knew it, his head has delved between your plush thighs again, but this time clearly more careful and gentle.

⌗ . . . YOU LOVE WATCHING VAMPIRE!MATT’S FACE WHEN HE CUM’S
WARNINGS : SMUT. ORAL (m receiving). LIGHT BLOOD. MATT’S FANGS. CUM SWALLOWING.
your knees were burning against floor, matt’s cock heavy and flushed in your mouth. the taste of him coating your tongue as he let out a ragged breath above you. his fingers came down and thread into your hair, twisting and yanking your head down, forcing his cock deeper into your throat.
“fuck, just like that sweetheart—” matt groaned above you. your mascara was smudged. spit and precum smearing the corners of your mouth as you bobbed your head, taking everything he gave you—his cock pulsing against your tongue.
you felt his thighs tense beneath your hands, the muscles fluttering. his hips suddenly started to roll harder, fucking into your mouth like he couldn’t help himself. the tip of his cock hit the back of your throat again and again, and all you could do was take it—choking, drooling, and letting him use you.
when you looked up at him, it was dizzying. his head was tilted down, hair messy and shadowing his face, his eyes half-lidded and dark. his abs clenched with each thrust into your warm throat, that low groan bubbling in his chest.
when you saw his fangs push down—long, and fucking gorgeous—watching his brows be pulled together and his lips parted in a strained, hungry moan. the sharp tips of his fangs sank into his bottom lip, just enough to make him bleed. and a thin trail of crimson welled up and slid down the curve of his mouth—it was the hottest thing you’d ever seen.
your orgasm hit so hard—so quickly—it stole the breath from your lungs. one second you were clenching your thighs together feeling the pressure against your clit, panting. and the next you were gasping around his cock as heat exploded between your legs, soaking your panties through.
and he felt it happen—felt the way your body jerked from below him as your throat contracted around his cock with choked moans. matt’s head snapped back, jaw going slack with a guttural moan of his own as he came. his cock throbbed deep in your throat, thick streams of cum spilling down as his fingers held you in place.
“shit—oh fuck, baby—just like that, take it, swallow it—” he whimpered, rutting his hip up in slow motions to milk himself dry. and you did. you swallowed every drop like he said.
when he finally looked down at you again—his fangs were still out, lip bleeding, chest rising and falling. his cock slid from your lips with a wet pop, and you wiped your mouth with the back of your hand, your breath ragged, thighs shaking.
and then your body was too quick, legs moving before you even registered you were. you climbed up his body, planting yourself on his lap—reaching a hand out to grab at his face. you pulled him to you, lips clashing as your tongue poked out, wiping the blood that was left behind.
you pulled back a few moments later, catching your breath, you held him to you. watching as a smirk spread across his face, hips twitching under you, feeling how hard he was again.
“round two?”

the party was loud. too loud. bodies packed into some random kid’s house like sweaty sardines, music shaking the walls, the sticky scent of cheap beer and perfume making your throat itch. you’d been trying to keep your distance—stuck close to your best friend while chris hovered nearby, trying to keep a lid on matt’s temper before shit inevitably exploded. and it was already close. you could tell. you were leaned against the kitchen counter, plastic cup in hand, watching it all from across the room. matt was all sharp edges tonight. jaw clenched, hands fisted in the pockets of his hoodie, his stare practically burning holes into the side of some douchebag’s face across the room. you didn’t even know what set him off, but he was on edge—restless, dangerous, way too close to snapping. every little thing seemed to piss him off. his lip twitched when people got too close. his knuckles were white.
chris was already trying to calm him down—had been for the past twenty minutes, whispering shit to him with an annoyed look—but matt wasn’t listening. hadn’t even spared you a glance. not that you expected him to. not after that night. you hadn’t spoken since. hadn’t texted. hadn’t even looked at each other at school or when you studied with your best friend. it was easier that way. pretending nothing happened. pretending you didn’t kiss him. that he didn’t let you. that the heat in your chest from that moment didn’t still flicker up at the worst possible times.
but tonight, that flicker turned into full-blown flame. because not even five minutes later, you heard it from the living room. loud. angry.
“oh yeah? why don’t you shut the fuck up before i give your fucking face a redoing?”
you turned your head so fast you nearly spilled your drink.
matt.
your stomach dropped when you pushed through the crowd, chris already halfway in between them, trying to hold matt back, but it was too late. matt lunged—shoved the guy hard enough for him to stumble, and then fists flew. people gasped, pulled back, drinks spilled. you felt your heart in your throat.
fucking idiot.
your social anxiety evaporated with the rage that took its place. before you even realized it, you were grabbing matt’s arm—tight, firm—yanking him back from the chaos.
“come the fuck on,” you hissed, ignoring the mess of voices around you. he jerked at first, trying to resist, but you weren’t having it. your grip was unrelenting. “dude, stop,” he snapped, trying to pull away. “get off—”
“no. shut the fuck up and move.”
he blinked at you, caught off guard. but you didn’t give him time to recover. you dragged him out of the house, past gawking faces and hushed whispers. you could feel his eyes on you as you stormed toward your car, yanked the door open and shoved him into the passenger seat like a damn toddler.
“jesus christ,” he muttered, breathless. but he didn’t stop you. didn’t argue when you started the car and peeled out of there.
the silence was thick. the kind of quiet that made your teeth grind. you didn’t speak, hands clenched on the wheel, heart pounding too loud in your chest to think. and matt didn’t say a word either. which was weird. for him. he only looked at you, and kept looking. even when you pulled into your driveway, even when you stepped out and slammed your door. he followed like a shadow. no protests now. you threw open the door to your house, letting him in without a glance, heading straight for the bathroom. he didn’t sit until you pointed at the couch like you were dealing with a dog. he sat. you came back with the first aid kit, slamming it down on the coffee table. his lip was split. cheek scratched. knuckles bruised. stupid fucking boy.
“don’t move,” you snapped.
he raised an eyebrow. “what the hell is this, the ER?”
you pressed a cotton pad to his lip and he flinched hard. “jesus—ow, fuck. you’re hurting me, dude.”
“well fuckin’ stop squirming like a little bitch and we’re good,” you muttered, pressing harder. “could’ve just kept your stupid mouth shut and none of this would even happen. fuckin’ dickhead.”
he went quiet. mouth shut. eyes on yours. for once. finally. his breathing shifted. heavier now. more deliberate. you noticed, even if you tried not to. your hand hesitated just slightly, hovering near the cut on his cheek.
“why’re you nervous?” you muttered, voice low. “the fuck’s all that attitude gone now?”
his cheeks flushed. just faint, but enough.
he swallowed. “i dunno. you’re all up in my fucking face… who wouldn’t… get nervous…”
your breath caught. you pulled back slightly, trying to ignore the way your hands shook. “just relax, matt, please.” your voice was quieter now. raw.
you bit your lip. old habit. always did it when you focused. hard enough this time that you tasted blood. and that’s when everything changed. his pupils dilated. breath hitched. he tensed—every muscle in his body pulled taut like a bowstring. his eyes weren’t on your face anymore. they were locked on your lips. and not in a horny way. in a dangerous way. your heart stopped.
“…matt?”
his eyes snapped back up. he blinked. twice. like trying to shake something off.
“you’re bleeding,” he muttered, voice thick. not quite his own.
you licked your lip out of reflex, the taste of iron sharp on your tongue. “yeah, it’s nothin’. i do that sometimes—”
“don’t,” he cut in quickly. sharply. his voice cracked, like it hurt him to speak. “just—don’t.”
you stared at him, silent. frozen. he turned away. dragged a hand down his face. shook his head like it might clear the fog.
“i should go,” he said after a second, standing too fast. but you caught his wrist before he could bolt.
“wait.”
he froze.
“just… just sit for a second. please.”
he turned, eyes narrowed, expression unreadable. still flushed. still tense.
“why?” he asked. and it wasn’t sarcastic. wasn’t smug. it was almost soft. like he needed the reason.
you didn’t know how to answer that. because you didn’t want to be alone tonight? because something about him made you feel less… cracked? because when you looked at him, all angry and broken and bleeding, it made something inside you ache in a way that wasn’t painful, just familiar? you looked up at him, unsure what he saw in your eyes. but whatever it was, it made him sit back down without another word. you finished patching him up in silence. and when it was done, he didn’t move. didn’t speak. you didn’t either. you just sat there. both of you bruised in different ways. both of you pretending not to feel whatever this was. whatever it was becoming.
the blood was still there. matt’s eyes hadn’t left your mouth in minutes. dried now, but stark against your skin—this tiny, dark smear across your bottom lip where your teeth had broken through earlier. and it shouldn’t have mattered. it was barely anything. but to him? to what he was? it might as well have been a full-course fucking meal. he was trying. fuck, he was trying not to look. jaw tight, hands clenched into fists in his lap, shoulders drawn up with the strain of it. but the scent of it—metallic, warm, yours—lingered in the room like smoke, and his fangs ached just below the surface, a dull, familiar throb that scraped against every inch of self-control he had left.
you were still so close. crouched in front of him on the coffee table, legs tucked under you, your fingers stained with a little of his blood from the cleaning, your lip still bitten, your face so damn soft in the low light. and you were looking at him like that—like you weren’t scared. like you trusted him not to do anything stupid. he was going to lose it. but then—
“you’re staying the night.”
his head jerked up. “what?”
you just blinked at him, flat, unimpressed. “what what?” you echoed, like he was the dumb one. “knowing you, you’d go back there and beat that guy’s ass. again. you’re staying.”
he blinked. once. twice. that soft flush returned to his cheeks, and he rubbed a hand over the back of his neck, glancing toward the door like maybe if he looked hard enough it’d open and he could ghost out of here before he did something stupid.
“and your parents?”
you rolled your eyes. “not home.”
he was silent. for a long beat.
you stood up, stretched a little, then disappeared down the hallway—leaving him alone in the quiet hum of the living room with the smell of your blood still hanging in the air, and the echo of your command in his head. you’re staying. it shouldn’t have gotten under his skin the way it did. shouldn’t have made his stomach twist with something warm and uncomfortable. but it did. it always did, with you. the way you talked to him. like you knew him. like you didn’t buy his act.
he heard your voice again after a moment, muffled from the hallway. “you want something to wear, or are you gonna sleep in your bloodstained hoodie like a psycho?”
he snorted, loud. “i am a psycho.”
you padded back in with some oversized t-shirt in your hands. one you probably slept in, he guessed, and that thought alone made him feel something tight settle in his chest.
you tossed it at him. “shower’s down the hall. towels under the sink. don’t bleed on my sheets.”
he raised an eyebrow. “you planning on tucking me in too, sweetheart?”
you gave him a blank look. “you wish.”
he huffed a laugh, caught the shirt, and stood—shoulder bumping yours as he passed. your lip was still stained. and he still couldn’t look away. he didn’t move for a second. just stood there in front of you, holding that old, stretched-out t-shirt in one hand, the other still balled into a fist by his side. the space between you throbbed—full of something he couldn’t name, like a pulled wire ready to snap.
your lip. still stained red.
and fuck, it wasn’t fair. you were standing there, all casual and stubborn, in your little tank top and shorts, like you hadn’t just dragged his ass out of a party like a pissed-off girlfriend, cursed him out in your living room, cleaned up his mess like you cared, and told him to stay the night like it didn’t mean anything. like it wasn’t driving him insane. matt wasn’t used to being looked after.
especially not by you.
and now, here you were. blood on your mouth. still touching his skin in places—his jaw, his temple, the side of his neck where your thumb had pressed in too hard. and you didn’t even seem to notice. but he did. god, he fucking noticed.
“matt,” you said finally, voice a little more cautious now. like you could sense the shift. “go shower. you’re gross.”
his lip twitched, but he nodded, saying nothing, and moved down the hall. he wanted to leave the bathroom door cracked, needing the faint sounds of the house to stay grounded. needing the space, but he closed it anyway. the water ran hot, nearly burning, but it helped. the sting reminded him to stay in control. reminded him he was still human enough to pull it back. barely.
𖤓
you knew he’d been in there too long. at first it didn’t register—just the sound of the water running behind the closed door while you sat on the edge of your bed, half-heartedly pretending to scroll through your phone. your fingers were idle. your mind wasn’t. you kept replaying it. his face. that stupid fight. the way he let you drag him out like he wasn’t twice your size and full of rage. the way he sat still and let you clean him up, even when you weren’t gentle. especially when you weren’t gentle. the way his breath stuttered when you snapped at him. when your lip bled and he couldn’t take his eyes off it. he hadn’t said much since. just listened to you mutter and nodded, eyes dark.
but now it was pushing thirty minutes, and the sound of the water hadn’t stopped. you blinked down at your screen again. a minute ticked by. another. your stomach twisted. you didn’t know what the hell possessed you to get up. maybe it was just genuine concern. maybe it was that same stupid tug in your chest you felt every time he looked at you too long. or maybe it was the part of you that needed to know—needed proof that you weren’t just imagining the way he was staring. like he wanted to bite. like he wanted to fuck.
your feet were quiet on the hardwood, like you were doing something wrong. your breath caught a little when you got close enough to hear it—not just the water—but him. low, quiet sounds slipping through the half-cracked bathroom door. you froze. his breathing was uneven. heavy. labored in a way that had nothing to do with steam. you stepped closer, barely. heart in your throat now.
then you heard it.
a soft curse. the distinct sound of skin on skin. a sharp inhale. a low groan, almost swallowed by the water pressure. you should’ve walked away. fuck, you should’ve.
but you didn’t.
you stood there, knees weak, face burning, biting down on the inside of your cheek hard enough to sting. you imagined him leaning against the tile, water pouring down his back, head tipped forward. imagined his fingers around his cock, jaw tight, lips parted, thinking about—fuck.
you turned around so fast you nearly tripped over your own feet, stormed back to your room and slammed the door a little too hard, heart hammering, thighs clenched, pulse between your legs. you sat on the edge of the bed again, tried to breathe through it. but your mouth was dry. your whole body was buzzing. you could still hear him in your head—those sounds. that voice. quiet and fucking desperate in a way he never let anyone see. you didn’t know how long it was before the water stopped. you didn’t know how long it took before you heard the bathroom door open, the sound of his footsteps in the hall, the faint creak of your door as he pushed it open without knocking.
your eyes snapped up. he was standing there, towel low on his hips, hair wet, chest rising and falling like he’d just been through hell. his eyes locked with yours. and you knew. instantly. he knew you’d heard.
you could see it in the way his mouth twitched, in the way his pupils were blown wide, like he hadn’t really finished what he started.
“couldn’t find the clean towel,” he said, voice rough. teasing. but low. darker than usual.
you didn’t say anything. couldn’t. just swallowed hard and looked away, blood rushing in your ears.
“you good?” he asked, stepping a little further into your room. towel still barely holding on. water dripping down his chest.
you nodded, still not looking at him. “fine.”
matt let the silence stretch. let the tension crackle like a live wire between you. and when he finally spoke again, it was low. almost soft.
“you heard me.”
your eyes snapped to his.
“i—”
“it’s fine,” he cut you off. but his voice was tight now. jaw clenched again. not angry—something else. restrained. careful. “fuck, angel. it’s not like i don’t want you to know.”
you stared. breathless.
he smirked, tired and wrecked. the kind of smirk that wasn’t smug—it was desperate. worn down. his eyes raked over you, slow. “you gonna tell me to get dressed, or you want me to stay like this?”
you didn’t answer. and he didn’t move. you stared at him—dripping, flushed, towel hanging too low on his hips, eyes dark and pinned to you like you were something worth sinking his teeth into. and maybe you were. god, maybe you wanted to be. your thighs clenched involuntarily at the look on his face. like he wanted to devour you. like you were the reason he’d been in the shower so long, with the water turned all the way hot and his hand moving over his cock, head thrown back against tile while your name probably slipped past his lips like a fucking prayer.
“matt,” you breathed, throat dry.
he took another step forward. slow. deliberate. his smirk was gone now. whatever bravado he walked in here with? it cracked beneath the weight of the silence between you, thick and humming.
“come here,” he murmured.
your heart stuttered. “matt…”
he leaned down, towel shifting a little with the movement. his fingers ghosted over your jaw, barely touching, but it was enough to make your skin light up like a struck match.
“we both know you want me too, baby.” he said, voice low, breath brushing your lips now. “you’re looking at me like you’re starving.”
you were. and he wasn’t wrong. but that didn’t mean—
you turned your head, jaw tensing. “you’re drunk.”
he exhaled sharply through his nose. like he expected that. like he hated that you were right.
“i’m fine.”
“matt.”
“i know what i’m doing,” he insisted, fingers tilting your chin back toward him. “and i want you. have wanted you. even when you drive me fucking insane.”
you stared at him. at the honest desperation in his voice. at the sheer want he wasn’t bothering to hide anymore. and god, it was tempting. every fiber in your body screamed to give in, to feel his mouth against yours, to drag that damn towel off and crawl into his lap, into his skin, into whatever the fuck had been building between you all summer long.
but no. not like this.
you pressed your hand to his chest, firm. “matt. you’ve been drinking. and you just fought someone. and you jerked off in my fucking shower.”
he blinked. laughed once. kind of breathless. “you weren’t supposed to hear that part.”
“i know,” you said, trying not to let the warmth creep up your neck. “but i did. and you’re still dripping water all over my floor.”
“you’re changing the subject.”
“yes,” you snapped, hand still on his chest. “because i’m trying really hard not to do something really fucking stupid.”
his gaze flickered. softened a little.
you swallowed hard. “don’t make me be the responsible one right now.”
for a second, neither of you moved. his fingers were still near your face, your hand still pressed to the heat of his chest. the air between you felt like it might snap. but then matt exhaled. slow. pulled back a little. ran a hand through his wet hair, muscles tight with restraint.
“you’re right.”
you didn’t expect him to say it. you just blinked at him.
he dropped onto the far end of your bed with a heavy sigh, towel hitching up slightly but thankfully not abandoning ship. he dragged a hand over his face. groaned softly. “fuck. i hate when you’re right.”
you tried not to smile. your heart still hadn’t slowed.
“get dressed, asshole.”
“yes, ma’am,” he muttered. “wouldn’t want to ruin your precious self-control.”
you rolled your eyes. turned toward your dresser, mostly to hide your face. but deep down, you were already dreading how much harder it was gonna be to pretend nothing had shifted between you. because it had.
you both felt it. and next time?
next time, you weren’t sure you’d be able to stop it.

vampire!matt with a sweet girly girl
u have. an amazing brain did u know that 💓
he LOVES his girly girl so damn much, loves how accepting you are of him being a vampire and how you didn't start crying bloody murder the second you found out. he also wonders whether your blood tastes as sweet as you are, but he tries to keep that thought in the back of his head as much as he can ...... maybe one day you'd let him try, just a little. that he thinks about a lot. and your blood does taste sweet to him, due to all of those sweet smoothies and milkshakes you drink.
matt thinks you're a little too sweet sometimes, he thinks your pretty face and lacy outfits, lips smothered in gloss could give people the wrong idea. you're naive at times, very much so, so he has to step in at times. first off, you'd literally let him into your home after he'd stumbled in your yard—what was stopping you from doing it again? when you'd left your back door open one time, he'd told you, "gotta be more careful, sweetheart, you let me, a whole ass vampire in one time, next thing i know a fuckin' werewolf is gonna be walkin' in through that door,"
"...werewolves are real?" you stare at him, blinking for a moment. of course that's what you focused on.
"just—just lock the door, will you?"
you're sweet to the point of literally fucking up your sleep schedule and sleeping during the day just so you can go out with matt at night. it concerns him so bad but also makes his heart race at the fact you'd do that for him. the first few times you did it, you were practically falling asleep where you stood.
"we can go back if you want—" "no." your voice are the tiniest bit delayed and slurred from how tired you are but insistent nonetheless, and he simply eyes you for a minute before a fond smile adorns his lips, and he continues walking around the park with you with your fingers interlaced with his.
he gets a little self conscious over being a vampire sometimes, and feels like he doesn't deserve to be with someone as sweet as you, so he starts pulling away and being around you less in the hopes that you'll finally realise that you deserve something better. "i'm a vampire, a monster, you shouldn't even want to look at me, let alone date me."
"i've had exes bigger monsters than you, y'know that? you're far from it, dummy." and that gets him thinking two things: you're a fucking angel, and where the fuck were those exes, because he'd have to sort them out for you if they were that bad to you. he still doesn't think he deserves you, at all, but he starts thinking it less and less with how many times you tell him that he does.
you're super warm blooded, but especially compared to him. he's always so cold, due to being a vampire, and you hate it. not for yourself, you love cuddling up with him and clinging to him with no remorse. but for him, since you feel like it could get pretty annoying being freezing all the damn time. "you're literally shivering." you are, you're shaking the faintest bit against him. it's not obvious, but he completely notices with how attuned his senses are. "m'literally fine, matt. close your eyes, you're supposed to be sleeping," your eyes are squeezed shut, trying to sleep. though you're practically clinging to him to try get warmth, which you won't find but do so anyway, in your cute little pajamas.
or he's doing your makeup for you, as you'd requested, and his cold hand is grasping your face gently to steady you. "sit still, y'keep fidgetin', baby." you whine in return, pouting as you try to keep yourself still. he tries to hold off a laugh at the way you react, "we need to get you gloves," at that, he chuckles quietly, brows raising instinctively. as much as he loves you, he doesn't think so. "you're not makin' me wear gloves, no way in hell. gotta suck it up, i guess."

ONE YEAR AGO
“It’s okay. It’s okay.” Your friend holds onto you tight, “You can’t.. I’m sorry, you can’t go in there.”
You were sobbing in her arms, fighting to break free from her grasp, “Nonono, he can’t-“ you gasp for air, “He can’t.. he can’t be..”
“I’m sorry.. I’m so, so sorry.” She holds you tighter, moving down to sit on the ground with you laying in her lap, “I’m so sorry.”
“I’m not seeing anything.”
You lifted your head, sniffling hard as you listened to the officers talk, “There’s absolutely no sign of them sir.”
“No blood? No articles of clothing? A cell phone? Nothing?” He takes his hat off, smacking it against his thigh, “Goddamn it. We’ll search all night if we have to.”
And they did.
You couldn’t believe what you were living through. You couldn’t comprehend that Matt was just.. gone.
“There’s..” you sniffle hard, laying your head against your friend’s shoulder, “no.. way.. he’s just..” you sob hard, wails leaving your lips the longer you think about it.
“I know.. I know..” she whispers as she rubs your back, “it doesn’t.. it doesn’t make sense.”
“Ma’am.”
“Y/n.” Your friend pushes you to stand up and you look up at the officer, “I believe your boyfriend was one of the ones who disappeared last night.”
You nod, “Y-yes.. he just.. came outside.. and never.. c-came.. back.”
“Neither of you saw anything, did you?” He asks as he jots stuff down on his notepad, “No animals or anything like that?”
“No, sir.” Your friend steps up beside you and you shake your head, “We were inside the whole night, or..” you sigh, fighting back more tears but fail, “Un-til.. he-“
“Okay, okay.” The officer pats your shoulder, “Well work hard to figure out what happened, okay? We’ll get you and everyone else some answers.”
But they never did.
It was always the same answer, no tracks. Nothing left behind. They just dropped the case like they were nothing.
You couldn’t just sit there anymore, so you went out to the woods.
Day after day for a few weeks, looking for some sort of sign, or a clue he may have left behind, but to your disappointment, you found nothing.

ONE YEAR LATER - PRESENT DAY
Matt was always in the back of your mind. You never let yourself go a day without thinking about him at least once, but then again, everything reminded you of him.
You even dreamed about him.
“I miss you.” You look up at him from your bed as he walks closer to you, “I wish I could..” you gasp quietly as his hand presses to your cheek.
“I promise, I’ll tell you all about it when I see you again.”
They always felt, so real. Almost like he was literally standing right in front of you, but when you’d wake up, he never was.
You let out a sigh as your phone vibrates from an incoming call. You hit the lock button to silence it, but the screen still stays lit.
You roll your eyes, knowing exactly why Macie is calling, and you didn’t feel like talking about it.
She calls again, and again, and again, until you finally answer it, “Dude.”
“Finally.” She sighs, “I’ve been waiting for you to answer.”
“I’m not going to that stupid Halloween party. I don’t need a repeat of last year with you.” You sit up and rest your chin in the palm of your hand, “I just don’t think I’m ready to go to another one.”
“Oh come on, y/n. You have to start living your normal life. You can’t stay locked in your apartment forever, it’s not good.” She pauses, “We don’t have to go to the party, but we can go to the festival?”
Your eyes start to water as you remember walking through the fair grounds with Matt’s hand in yours. Him glancing back at you every so often to make sure you were good.
His smile, the way his eyes lit up when you smiled back.
“I-I.. don’t want to do anything, Macie, I’m sorry.” You pull the phone away from your ear and stop when you hear her yelling, “Wait, wait, wait.”
You put the phone back to your ear, “What.”
“I’ll come over, I’ll bring snacks. A blanket, we can camp out in your living room, watch movies all night?”
You stay silent for a second, thinking about her offer, “Fine. But you better bring the good popcorn. I’m all out.”
“Okay, I’ll pack a bag and then I’ll swing by the store on my way over.”
“Take your time, I’m going to try and lay down, I can feel a headache coming on.” You run a hand through your hair, “See you in a little bit.”
“See you.”
You hang up, tossing your phone down as you lay down. You stare at the picture of Matt on your nightstand, giving it a small smile before your close your eyes.
That’s the fastest you’ve fallen asleep.
“I miss you so much.” Matt whispers as he pulls you tighter against his body, “You have no idea what I’d do to get back to you.”
“I’d do anything to have you back, Matt. It’s not the same without you here.” You turn your head, sniffling as you try to hold back your tears.
“Hey, hey.” Matt’s hands slide to your cheeks and he tiles your head up, “Don’t cry, sweetheart.” He gives you a small smile as his thumbs swipe away your tears as they fall, “I promise, I’m always with you. You know that.”
“It’s not the same.” You pout, “Why can’t you come back?”
“I don’t have a choice, baby.” Matt frowns, “Macie is almost here. It’s time to wake up.” He presses his lips to your temple, and you snap awake.
You sit up, looking around as your hand moves to the spot Matt kisses in your dream.
It felt so real.
“Hey!” Macie calls as she walks through your front door, “I’m here.”
You get up and walk out, “Have you ever had a dream that felt so real, you’re left.. confused after?”
She stops walking and just stares at you, “I just.. got here..” she laughs and walks over to the couch, “But yeah, I’ve had dreams like that.”
“I keep, having these dreams where Matt is here.” You walk over to the couch and sit down, “Like, right before you got here, he kissed my temple..” you point to your head, “This temple, and then he told me you were almost here and that I needed to wake up.”
“I think..” she sits down and turns towards you, “I think it’s all physiological, honey. Like you’re still really shaken up about Matt just-“
“Yeah.” You cut her off, not wanting to talk about it, “Did you, uh, bring the popcorn?”
She catches on and nods, “I sure did.” She pulls the box out of her grocery bag and hands it to you, “That’s the stuff right?”
You nod, “Yes, this is the stuff.” You get up and walk to the kitchen, unwrapping a pack of the popcorn to throw into the microwave.
“Did you get drinks?” You yell out, pausing as you wait for her to answer, “Oh fuck no, I didn’t.”
“That’s fine. I have some.” You reach into the fridge and grab some, “Here. The popcorn is in the microwave. I’ll go check it.”
You walk back into the kitchen and as you’re standing at the microwave, you feel like a hand brushes hair from your shoulder.
You jump, spinning around quickly as you gasp.
Nothing.
“I swear to god.” You grab the bag from the microwave and walk back in to Macie, “Either my apartment is haunted, or I’m just losing it.”
“Why? What happened?” She looks up at you as she spread her blanket over her legs.
“Nothing.” You shake your head, “I’m probably just losing it.”
She nods, taking the bag of popcorn, “Do you have a bowl?” You sit down and groan, “Shit, yeah.” You go to get up, but she stops you, “You. Sit. I can get it.”
You nod, grabbing the remote from the coffee table and you lean back into the couch. As you’re clicking through the movies, you swear you see Matt standing behind the couch in the reflection.
You whip your head around, letting out a sigh as Macie walks back in, “I think this one should be good enough, right?”
You look over at her and nod, “Yeah. That’s the popcorn bowl.”
She furrows her brows and slowly sits down, “What’s happening?”
“What do you mean?” You tilt your head and she laughs slightly, “You’re acting weird.”
You try to play it off, but you can’t, “I can’t.. okay. Please don’t judge me, but I honestly feel like Matt is still here.”
She goes to say something, but you cut her off, “And don’t give me that it’s just your mind grieving, shit because it doesn’t feel like that. I know what that feels like and this..” you shake your head, “This.. isn’t it.”
“Okay, okay.” She slowly sets the bowl on the table and looks at you, “I was there when Matt went missing.”
You cringe at her words and she sighs, “I know you hate hearing it, but it’s true, y/n. I seen the way it affected you. I seen how hurt you were by his disappearance. You were deeply affected, and from what I know, the mind can play the worst tricks when you’re going through something like that. Thinking they’re still here because you don’t want to accept they aren’t coming back.”
You give her a look but she quickly speaks up, “I’m not saying that’s a bad thing, honey. What I’m saying, is, maybe.. you need to finally.. put him to rest?”
“What, like burn his pictures?” You scoff and look down, “I can’t get rid of anything, Mac, it’s all I have left of him.”
“No, I’m just saying that you need to give him one final message. A final goodbye, so that way, you don’t spend the rest of your life on the couch, soaking in sadness. He wouldn’t want that.”
No matter how much you didn’t want to believe her, you knew she was right.
“I know.” You mumble quietly, “I just..”
“I’ll give you tonight. One more night to just grieve and let all the sadness come back out, and then tomorrow, we’re going to Frankie’s party.”
You shake your head and she nods, “You need to live your life, y/n. You can’t just-“
“I know.” You cut her off, “I’m just, scared I’ll forget him completely.”
“I don’t think that will happen.” She laughs slightly, “You and Matt were.. an unbelievable couple. You guys were literally the perfect match.”
“I miss him.” You look at her, tears in your eyes, “I miss him so much.” You cover your face and the silent sobs grow louder.
“I know, honey.” She moves over next to you, her arms moving to hold you like she did a year ago. You were sobbing against her chest as she gently rocked you back and forth, “It’s okay. You’re okay, just let it all out.”
“It should have been me.” You sob, “Matt didn’t deserve this.”
“It shouldn’t have been anyone.” She runs her hand over your head, “No one should have to go through this.”
After a few minutes of crying, you sit up, “Okay..” you sniffle, “Let’s watch a movie.”
“Are you sure?” She tilts her head and you nod, “Yeah, yeah.” You wipe your face, “I’m good.”
She takes the remote from the couch and points it at the tv, “This good?” You look at the screen and nod, “Yeah, this one is good.”
꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷
You slowly lifted your head from the arm of the couch, blinking a few times as your eyes adjust to the light flashing from the tv screen.
As you sit up, you see Macie asleep on the other end.
You stand up, leaning down to move the blanket up onto her body more before you walk into the kitchen.
You grab a water from the fridge, opening it to take a drink before standing there for a second. You look around the kitchen, your mind flashing memories of you and Matt dancing in the fridge light.
Carving pumpkins on the floor surrounded by newspaper to catch the goop from within them.
You can still hear his laughter, his voice.
You can feel tears welling up in your eyes, so you make your way back into the living room. You gently set your water down on the end stand before sitting down on the couch.
As you’re watching the movie play, you can feel yourself doze off again, but only this time, unbeknownst to you, you weren’t dreaming.
“Don’t make a a sound, just listen to me.” Matt stares into your eyes as you nod, “You’re going to get up, and you’re going to go into the woods, the spot where you were looking for me.”
You stare at the figure in front of you, nodding as he speaks, “Don’t tell anyone where you’re going. Forget that I was here. Just come find me, and don’t be scared.”
You blink a few times and look around confused. You stare at Macie for a few seconds before you slowly get up, walking over to get your shoes on.
You grab the sweatshirt that once belonged to Matt, and you throw it on before you silently leave. You knew where you were going, you just didn’t know why.
You were questioning yourself the whole way there, asking yourself what you could possibly doing at three in the morning.
Matt was heavy on your mind, but that’s nothing different.
As you round the corner of the one building, you come to a stop. Your eyes fixate on a figure that stands up on the bridge leading to the woods.
A body lying lifeless at its feet.
Don’t be scared.
You walk forward, the figure disappearing with a blink of your eyes and you continue your trek. You stare at the body on the ground as you walk by, your head tilting as you see the ripped open flesh on its neck.
You look forward, glancing behind you before disappearing off the road and into the treeline.
The moon light cutting through the trees illuminated the dark ground as you walk, fog clouds up more and more the closer you get to the opening of where Matt was said to be last.
You take one more step, standing right in the center of the opening and you perk your head up as you snap out of your trance.
You look around, your breathing growing heavy as you start to panic.
You were out in the middle of the woods, alone - or so you thought.
“Y/n?”
You freeze.
You know that voice.
“M-Matt?” You slowly spin around and gasp, your hand flying to your mouth as Matt steps into the stream of moonlight, “Hi baby.”
You stare at him, shaking your head slowly as the overwhelming feelings take over, “I-I don’t.. I don’t-“ you take a shaky breath, “understand.”
“I didn’t either at first, sweetheart.” Matt steps closer and you step back, “W-wait..” you hold your hand up, “You.. were dead..”
He shrugs, “And yet, I’m here.”
You close your eyes, “I don’t..” you feel your legs go weak, and before you hit the ground, Matt in there in a blink of an eye, catching you in his arms.
“Is it.. really you?” You turn your head slightly and Matt nods, “It is.”
You swallow, “We have to.. go to the police.. tell them, you’re-you’re fine, right?” You stand up and turn towards him, “You can.. or, at least.. tell me what happened?”
You were unsure of whether or not you were ready to hear it, but Matt knew that, “Can you sit down for me? I don’t want you falling.”
You nod, sitting down with his hand in yours, “I just..” You let out a sigh as you look around, “I can’t.. wrap my mind around this..”
Matt’s fingers gently rest on your chin, his touch was cold, “Look at me, please.”
You hesitate for a second, but you inevitably look up at him.
“You and I are both, so.. different now.” He shakes his head, “I’ve missed you so much.”
“How-“
He cuts you off, “When I went outside at that party, I didn’t think I wouldn’t ever come back.” He crouches down in front of you, his hands resting on your hips, “It happened so quick.”
“What happened so quick?” You reach up, your shaky hand resting against his cheek, “Matt..”
“I honestly didn’t believe in it myself, but when I woke up, I was..” he looks away, shaking his head. You reach up with your other hand, turning his face back towards you, “Matthew. There’s nothing you can say that will scare me away.”
He swallows, his voice how, “Do you believe in the supernatural?”
You shrug slowly, “I mean, I’ve heard stories about our town, but I never really.. seen anything..”
“But do you believe?”
You nod, “Yes.”
His grip tightens on your hips, “Good, because I really need you to believe me when I tell you that I was turned into a vampire.”
You lean back, your stare on his face, “What?”
He nods, “That’s why I-“
“No, no. I need you to say it again because I-“ you shake your head, “What!?”
“How do you think I got to you in a split second before you hit the ground?” He glances back to the spot where you almost collapsed and you sigh, “I’ve dreamed about you, were, were those-“
“I’ve visited you throughout the year, but only when I knew I could control my thirst.”
“For blood.” You swallow and he nods, “Yeah, as a new vampire, you have this-this uncomfortable hunger and you just want to kill everyone you come across by sucking them dry.”
A chill goes down your spine and Matt rests his hand on your cheek, “I’m not going to hurt you, baby. I don’t want to. That’s why I stayed away for so long.”
“W-who helped you? Are there more? Are the others who disappeared.. vampires, too?”
You had so many questions, your heart was racing.
“Y/n, baby. I need you to calm down.” Matt stands up and backs away.
The feeling that washes over you is gut wrenching. Matt has never backed away from you before.
“I-I’m sorry..” you lean down, your hands covering your face.
Matt is next to you, his hand running up and down your back, “Don’t be sorry. This isn’t your fault.” You sit up, “But it is, I should have came with you. I shouldn’t have been-“
“Don’t do that.” Matt crouches down in front of you again, “Baby, look at me.” He waits until you look at him, “I came to you, sat with you while you slept. I let you see me for as long as I could before I wanted to do something I don’t ever want to do. That’s not your fault. That’s the fuckin’ freaks fault who turned me into this-this monster.”
“You’re not a monster, Matt.” You sniffle as you reach up to cup his face with your hands, “Like you said this.. isn’t your fault.”
He stares at you, “I compelled you to forget me, each time I saw you, and that hurt so bad, I’m so sorry.” He hangs his head down and you move closer, “You had to.”
He looks up at you and you run your hand through his hair, “We can.. we can come up with a plan.. tell, tell the police that you escaped some sort of-of cult or something? I don’t know. We can-“ you stop to take a breath, “Matt, baby. We can figure this out so you can come back to me.”
He lays his hand on yours that’s pressing against his cheek and he shakes his head, “I don’t think I can.”
“Why.. why do you say that?” You can feel yourself getting worked up, but you try to keep yourself as calm as you can, “I can help you.”
He stays silent as he just stares at you, “I don’t want to hurt you.” He shakes his head, “I don’t, ever want you to die on my behalf.”
You chew on your lip, “Is there anything we can do so that you can’t, or make it so you don’t want to?”
“No.”
“You’re lying to me.” You tilt your head, “Matt.”
“I-I don’t.. you..” he stands up and paces, “I can’t ask you to do that.”
“Do what?” You stand up, “You just told me you’re a fucking vampire and yet.. here I am, begging you to let me help you.”
“The only way we could be together is if-“ he stops, shaking his head, “No, no.”
“If.. what?” You swallow, “If you turned me into what you are, too?”
He turns his head towards you, slowly nodding, “That’s our best option, y/n. There’s no magic cure for me, but there’s always that option for you.”
You freeze, “Are-are you serious?” You laugh nervously, “Matt, that..” He quickly moves over to you, “I love you, y/n. So much.”
“I love you.” You pull him in, your lips gently pressing to his. He pulls you closer, his lips pressing harder against yours.
He leans back, “I want to be with you. I do. You have no idea. You’re all I thought about. Your name was the last thing to leave my lips right before I d-“ he gasps, his eyes welling up, “I don’t want to be away from you any longer.”
You blink and tears fall into your cheeks, “I know, baby. I know.” You pull him in for a hug, your arms wrapped tightly around his neck, “What do I have to do?”
Matt holds onto you tighter, taking in your scent before he lets you go, “You need to die with vampire blood in your system.”
You’re taken aback by his words, you knew you had to die, but it was different coming from the one you loved.
“O-okay.” You nod, “I can do that.”
“Y/n. This is.. a lot.. for one night.” Matt sighs, “Why don’t you think-“
“I’ve thought about it.” You nod, “I want to do this, I want to be with you.”
He shakes his head, “I don’t think you have..” he shakes his head, “This.. means leaving for a while.. until you’ve gotten yourself under control. Until you can stomp out the cravings and save a human, saving your best friend.. from being your dinner.”
“So, I’ll just tell her?” You shrug and Matt laughs, “Do you know what they’ll do if it gets out that we’re not human? Especially in a town like this?”
You shake your head, “N-no?”
“We’ll be hunted. We won’t be able to stay here. We’ll have to keep running, and running, and running, and when we think it’s safe, we’ll end up having to run some more.” He runs his hand through his hair and you see a flicker in his eyes, “Matt?”
“I just-“ he sighs, “I need to know that you know what this means, and how different your life will actually be, because mine is no where like it was before, y/n, and I would do anything to get it back to the way it was.”
“But you said you can’t. There’s no magic cure for a vampire to be a human again, only for me to become what you are.” You step towards him, “I would have gone to the ends of the earth to find you, and now that I have found you..”
Matt stares at you and you scoff, “I’ll do anything to keep you.”
“You’re nervous.” Matt points, “I can hear your heart racing.”
“Who wouldn’t be nervous in a situation like this? I mean, we’re talking about, what? Staying the same exact way that we are right now, forever.”
He nods and you sigh, “Matt.”
He moves to stand right in front of you, “Tell me about being a vampire.” You look up at him and he nods, “Come sit.”
He walks you over and you sit down beside each other on the rocks. He lays his hand on your thigh and takes a deep breath, “Being this creature is.. unexplainable. You’re just.. free.”
“But you can compel people?” You lay your hand on his and he nods, “Yeah, yeah. You can make anyone do anything you want.”
“How many have you-“
“Seven.” He cuts you off, “six of them were to not make any noise while I fed.. the seventh was you, which was the worst one out of all of them because it meant I had to say goodbye until god knew when.”
You swallow, “I’m so sorry.”
“Not your fault.. um..” he clears his throat, “I have super speed, basically. I can practically flash away within a second. By the way, you weren’t going crazy. I was standing behind you and I did move your hair off of your shoulder, I just.. didn’t want you to freak out while Macie was there.”
“Yeah, I still broke down.”
“I know.” He frowns and pulls you into him, “I, uh. Have super strength, and my hearing is actually really weird.” He squints, “I can hear the body on the bridge being discovered right now..”
“Are we okay here?” You look behind you and he nods, “If anything comes this way, I’ll know.”
“So it looks like there is perks to this.. vampire lifestyle?” You joke slightly and Matt shrugs, “Yeah but the worst part is when you first wake up. You want to kill everything.”
“Yeah, the hunger..” you mumble, “I just..” you turn towards him, “Youll be there to help me right?”
“Y/n..”
“I’m serious, Matt. We can do this. We can- I can say I’m going to stay with my aunt for a while or something? I don’t know we can figure out something.” You take his hands into yours, “Please.. let me be with you.”
“There’s no going back, y/n.”
“I don’t want to go back.” You shake your head, “If my future doesn’t have you in it.. then I don’t-“
Matt cuts you off with a kiss, “I need you to say it. I need you to say it so I know you understand it.”
You lick your lips, nodding your head, “I want you to make me a vampire, Matt.”

summary : growing up in the ‘middle of nowhere’ small town in lochcliff, colorado, stories were heard of multiple strange disappearances, murders, animal attacks, and more. when you were younger, you never paid attention to that stuff. now at the age of 17 it’s all you ever hear about. what happens when you realize those ‘stories’ you heard growing up, may not just be scary fairytales people tell their kids.
warning ⚠️ : contains mature themes, smut, gore (nothing insane), angst, etc. this warning is for all chapters.
(this does take some inspiration from tvd !)
chapter 1 : new beginning’s.
“y/n! breakfast!”
my eyes flutter open, my sleepy state slowly exiting my body as my consciousness floods through my mind. i take in a deep breath as i sit up in my bed. the sunlight from the early morning hours poking through my curtains, painting a beautiful blue and orange hue on my walls as i watch dust particles float along my room.
i look over to my wooden dresser across from me, my reflection staring back at me through the mirror above it. my pile of clothes i had chosen to wear for today the night before, picking out my outfit for my first day of my junior year.
when i was a kid, i was so excited to finally be a teenager. thinking of all the possibilities i could get. but ever since the day after i turned 16, i realized that being a teenager and growing up would be nothing but a disappointment and the little girl inside’s dreams and life was crushed that day.
“y/n! i’m not gonna yell for you again!” my mothers voice cuts through the silence of my thoughts.
“i’m coming!” i shout back as my feet make contact with the cold floor below me.
i shuffle myself to my bedroom door to shut it as i get dressed, the creepy creaking of the door making me shudder. the fact that this house is over 150 years old will never not cross my mind when i watch paranormal movies like the conjurings.
i quickly change into a tight fitted brown long sleeve shirt and a pair of baggy blue jeans, given it’s the end of august now, the early mornings and late nights are becoming a little chillier compared to the june and july nights from the beginning of summer. lastly, throwing on some black converse and grabbing my backpack filled with untouched supplies for the new school year ahead. before i leave my room i decide on throwing on just a small silver necklace with my first initial of my name on it.
i exit my room and make my way down the squeaky wooden stairs. the squeaks and creaks acting as a calling to my mom to let her know i’m coming down.
“glad to see you finally grace us with your presence.” my mother states as she flips a pancake onto a grey glass plate, holding it up for me as i enter the kitchen.
i push my lips into a thin line as i nod and take the plate from her, uttering a small thank you as i sit at the kitchen island, placing my bag on the floor beside the black stood i sit on.
“corbin, are you taking your sister to school?” i hear her ask my older brother who sits beside me.
corbin, who’s a year and a half older than me, is now a senior. he’s the most typical semi-popular guy in our school. his fluffy brown hair and dark eyes is what pulls most of the girls’s attention. he’s a jock, but he says he doesn’t “fit in” with the rest of the football team so he stays more to himself. people know him but he doesn’t boast about his athleticism or his popularity.
he takes a sip of his orange juice before answering, “yeah i can. you ready?” he questions me.
i take one last bite of my pancake as i nod, standing up to grab my backpack. i swing it over my shoulder and walk over to the front door. “bye mom, love you.” i yell as i head out the door. i hear my brother telling her his goodbyes as i stroll to his car, opening the passenger seat door.
i watch him climb into the driver’s seat before he turns the radio on, immediately connecting it to his phone playing ‘tunnel vision’ by kodak black.
he turns his head to look both ways before pulling out of our rocky driveway. i turn to look at our house as i watch it fade into the distance. “so, you ready for junior year?”
“uh, yeah. what about you? are you ready for senior year?” i ask him in response.
he nods his head almost immediately. “oh yeah. i’m so ready to graduate and finally get out of this dumbass town.”
“agreed.” i speak as i lean back into seat.
silence takes over us as we continue the ride with the songs of my brothers choice fading to the back of my mind. the morning sky now being covered in a gloomy grey cast. the dead leaves ascending from the trees creating an orange blanket across the roads and sidewalks.
the car comes to a halt as we sit at a red light, i look around taking in notice of the beautiful scenery around us. historic buildings and parks flooding my eye-line, kids and teenagers on their way to the start of their new school years.
once the red light turns to green, we begin on our way again. i look back to my right, looking out the window, watching the trees and buildings pass by in a blur. i take notice of a guy walking with his headphones in, and his back turned to us, seemingly on the same route as we are. once we get closer to him to the point i can see his side profile coming into view, i watch him turn his head to look at the car coming beside him. the second he turns his view to the car, we lock eyes.
it’s almost as if time itself has changed, slowed down. i question myself on if i’ve ever seen him before but his face doesn’t ring any bells. he’s pale with icy blue eyes. a jaw that’s so sharp it looks like it could slice your finger open with even the softest and lightest touch. a stare so prominent and hypnotizing i almost forget my whole existence until he fades out of view.
i quickly turn myself to face in front of me. my eyebrows furrow as i try to understand what just happened to me and if it even happened. it felt like i entered a dream-like state while being fully awake.
“we’re here.” i hear corbin’s voice cut through the voice in my head as i feel the car come to a complete standstill.
i rapidly blinked my eyes as i see the high school building standing before me. not even realizing we were already at the school.
“you gonna get out or what?”
i quickly nod my head as i unbuckle my seatbelt and climb out of the car. i make my way towards the school alongside my brother. the sounds of students chattering among themselves as they walk into the building all around us.
“hey, junior year isn’t that bad. just keep your head up and you’ll be fine. i’ll see you after school.” corbin speaks to me as he parts from me to find his group of friends whom always meet up in the gym every morning, it’s been a routine of theirs since 7th grade.
i make my way to my locker, putting in the combination i wrote down on my notes app from the school’s letter they mail every student at the end of summer. the piece of paper giving them their class schedule, locker number and combination, etc.
“y/n!” i hear my best friend jayde’s voice through the loud obnoxious students at 8 am.
i turn around, flashing her a smile as i watch her come up to me. “hey jayde!”
“hey! i’m sorry we couldn’t hang out any this summer. what’s your schedule? maybe we have some classes together!” she says as she wraps me in a warm embrace.
jayde is very passionate about music and all of that. so the second our school announced that there would be a music and arts camp, she was the first to have her signature on the sign up sheet.
“no it’s okay and let me check.” i grab my class schedule out of my back pocket before i read off my classes, “first period is language arts, then history, math, then my free period, reading, gym, and science.”
she takes out her own schedule as she tries to match up any classes we may have together.
“ooo! okay! we have history, gym and our free period together!” she say enthusiastically.
as soon as i’m about to respond, the school bell cuts me off. the loud blaring shooting a pain through my mind reminding me of how much i despise school.
“okay well i’ll see you second period!” she struts off into the crowd of people, her long black hair bouncing with every step she takes.
i begin my own way to the room i’ll be entering at 8:10am every day on the dot for the next 9 months of my life.
the second i enter the classroom, my already present headache worsens with how painfully loud everyone is. different conversations and pencils being tapped on the wooden desks.
i walk to a free desk in the second row of the seat’s layout. the placement being in pretty much the middle of the classroom where i’m fully submerged by the persistent voices of students. as i sit down i stare off into the distance i wish i was back in my bed already.
a/n : i’m so excited to start this series! i started watching tvd again and it brought me inspiration to write this. plus vampire!matt is so fucking hot. anyways lmk if i should make a taglist or anything or if yall fw this and want me to keep going ! :)

-'🍷*.✧-'🍷*.✧-'🍷*.✧-'🍷*.✧-'🍷*.✧-'🍷*.✧-'🍷*.✧-'🍷*.✧-'🍷*.✧-'🍷*.✧-'🍷*
an almost eerie glow followed your shadow as you walked along the sidewalk, the dim and low yellow light from the street your guide. your headphones remained glued to your ears, a soft hum leaving past your lips once in a while as you soaked up the current song playing in your ears, rhiannon by fleetwood mac. daisies and clovers littered the sidewalk every so often, the concrete slabs causing a small thud with each step you took. it was admittedly dangerous walking this late at night alone, since the streets had quieted and there was nothing but silence; yet, this was the most peaceful you’d been all day. besides, where you lived, nothing bad ever happened in your town; even the dark, looming trees that spilled into the woods had done no harm to the people of your town.
it was your destination, actually— the last streetlight stood at the edge by its lonesome, watching as you disappeared into the thickness of the trees. up ahead of you, moonlight cascaded down, creating your now only source of light. it was full and beautiful, peering down at you with watchful eyes, leering at you as if to tell you a secret— a secret of the woods, one you had yet to see coming. the thick crunch of leaves were left under your vans, a stark reminder that you’d have a bit of trouble walking through it as you continued your nightly trek. a hum from your headphones followed by a ‘battery low’ caused you to curse under your breath as you took them off your head. you placed them around your neck, stopping momentarily to turn bluetooth off of your phone so that no more battery would be drained.
and then like a thief in the night, a shadow whizzed right by you— and you wouldn’t have noticed it if you had blinked.
your heart rate suddenly picked up, heightening your senses as you had become acutely aware that there was something out there lingering, watching. you glanced around either side of you, placing a hand on your heart. it was strangely warm tonight, yet it did nothing to stop your legs from shivering slightly. you wanted to call out, to ask what was there; but c’mon— you watched enough slashers to know that you never say hello. so after one more glance around, you took a deep breath and carefully continued the walk. though this path was the closest way to home, you started to regret it— but perhaps you were just being paranoid. it was probably an animal, a nocturnal one at that. you’d seen owls and deer all the time, careful not to alarm them.
except, there wasn’t the usual hooting you were so used to. the woods were unsettlingly quiet, and that was a thing you weren’t quite used to— in fact come to think of it, there was not the slither of lizards or a garden snake, nor was there the quiet chirp from the robins that nested nearby. you shudder uncomfortably, wanting nothing more than to leave now. it continued on quiet, and your eyes darted around every which way. the trees stood tall over you and began to feel as though you were suffocating, like the trees were closing you in. the bark twisted and curled, almost resembling that of a sneer as they watched you walk. a whimper threatens to escape your lips, and that’s when you hear the snap of a twig in the distance— finally, some fauna nearby!
you let out a much needed breath, giving you the strength to speed up as you look straight ahead. the clearing to the other side is just beyond your reach, looking so promising as you near it. you rolled your eyes for letting yourself get so spooked by what was probably a bat flying past you, having known that they do it all the time. but just as the clearing comes into view, something to your left catches your eye— a movement, and it's fast. a figure is present, and it appears to be hovering over something. you narrowed your eyes, and you could make out a person. panic surges forward when you hear a gurgling noise as whatever’s laying on the floor under the figure twitches for several moments, then it goes limp.
you swallowed uncomfortably, deciding to take a step towards whoever it was— perhaps they’d found a dead animal and were trying to revive it. whatever the case was, you would’ve felt bad if you’d just left them there. so you hurry towards them, an unsettling pit forming and setting itself in your stomach. as you neared them, a sharp gasp came from the figure and blood cascaded down the lifeless animal’s body; it pooled around them, causing your eyes to widen in alarm.
“oh gosh— excuse me, are you—”
before you could fully form a proper sentence, your blood went cold and body went rigid as the sight before you— the figure turned around, baring fangs as blood trickled from them, beginning to cake up around the edges of his mouth. his eyes were dark, soulless as he stared down at you; veins crinkled beneath his eyes, his face unnervingly pale against his sharp features. you stumbled over your feet, your face permanently transfixed in horror as you couldn’t look away from him. he tilted his head at you slightly, watching your every move. your heart’s beating wildly against your ribcage, and you think— no you’re certain— he can hear it, too.
a scream threatens to tear from deep within your belly but before the inkling of a sound could rise up, he’s on you in an instant; his tall frame looms behind you, his strong, pale arms locking you in place— one of his hands cover your mouth, causing you to breathe in through your nose as you find yourself struggling to fight out of his grip. you quickly realize that your body’s pressed firmly against his— you listen for the sound of his heartbeat—
he doesn’t have one.
a low whimper leaves your lips, causing him to tsk at you mockingly. “now sweetheart, can’t let ya go if you’re gonna keep makin’ a fuss. quiet down for me, yeah?”
his voice is deep and stern, oddly attractive— it makes your eyebrows furrow in uncertainty as you breathe out through your nose. “if i let ya go, y’gotta stay right where you are. don’t run, ‘kay? cause if you run, s’not gonna be pretty.”
you nod your head, his voice etched in your brain as you replay it over and over again. he loosens his grip around you, his hand coming off of your mouth. you stay rooted in your spot like he asked— you spun around, finding him wiping the corner of his mouth from the deer blood that stained crimson on his sickeningly pale face. your eyes widened as you examined his features; he was alarmingly handsome, and he looked to be a little older than you were. though with his kind, you could never be too sure of their actual age.
he smirks down at you, causing your insides to churn; heat blossoms to your cheeks as you realized you’d been checking him out.
“alright. i’m not running away; i believe i deserve a fucking explanation for what i just witnessed,” you demanded. even trying to make your voice stern, it wasn’t nearly as startling as his.
he rolls his eyes at this, sucking his teeth as he begins to walk circles around you. “s’exactly what you think it is.”
“i want to hear you say it.”
he stops walking in front of you, eyebrows raised comically as he sneers at you. “is that your best attempt at bein’ scary, sweetheart?”
“fine, don’t say shit then,” you say, raising your hands up with a shrug, “i’m just—”
mid-sentence, you conclude it would be the best time to break out into a run towards the clearing, the suburbs just within your reach. but of course he anticipated your next move, as it wasn’t as calculated as you thought it’d be— in a split second, he had you pinned against one of the thick trees, the oak branches almost piercing into your back at an uncomfortable angle. you struggled against his grip, one of your arms pinned above your with one of his knees lodged into the small gap that separated both of your legs.
“so you run, after i tell ya not to,” he chuckles under his breath, shaking his head in mock disappointment, “is followin’ instruction just so hard for you to do?”
“get off me,” you grit, eyes narrowed to slits as you stare him down. gosh, you just wanted to wipe that smug smirk off his face.
“here’s what’s gonna happen,” his stern voice whispers in your ear, causing your whole body to rush with heat, “m’gonna walk ya home. make sure you get there safely. and you’re not gonna tell anybody. got it?”

— ★ vampire!matt meeting popular!reader

berry and matt’s first encounter.
vamp au masterlist
the school day was over, everyone had mostly filtered out of the building, with the exception of a few students. matt stood by his car, leaning on the hood with a cigarette in his mouth.
his blue eyes swept the parking lot as he waited for his brothers and madi to exit the building.
“smoking’s bad for you, y’know.” a voice interrupted his moment of silence, he exhaled a puff of smoke before turning his head
his gaze landing on you.
“is it?” he hummed, letting his eyes wander your form. taking in the way you carried yourself confidently. you gave him a nod, while stepping closer—ignoring the heat that had risen to your cheeks.
“it kills.” your voice was soft as you spoke, almost gentle, must’ve been the nerves.
he let out a low chuckle, if only you knew. “i think i’ll be fine.” he winked, smirking slightly when he heard your heart skip a beat.
“you’re new, right?” you asked, eyeing him curiously. hesitantly, he gave you a nod in response. “where are you from?”
“here.” he said simply.
you raised an eyebrow at that, you’d lived here your whole life and had never seen him before. “really?” the skeptical glint in your eye was enough for him to know you didn’t believe him.
“was born here, grew up in boston.” that was the story he had to stick to, the one that nick had practically engraved into their heads to make it believable for anyone on the outside.
“oh.” your gaze moved away from him for a moment before looking back at him. “i’m y/n, by the way.” it was polite, short, confident, the way you had said it. “or berry—don’t ask why.”
the corner of his mouth lifted into the smallest of smiles at the small chuckle you let out. “matt.” he introduced himself.
you opened your mouth to speak but shut it when you noticed three figures approaching. you gave him a smile, “i’ll see you around then, matt.”
with that, you climbed into your car that was coincidentally parked beside his and pulled out of the parking spot to go and pick up tink who was probably waiting for you in front of the building.
“who was that?” chris asked, once they came to a stop in front of matt.
he simply shrugged, throwing his cigarette onto the floor and stepping on it with his shoe. “a girl.” chris and madi shared a knowing look but neither them or nick decided to press any further.
the image of you lingered in matt’s mind as he climbed into his car. he was drawn to you, and he definitely wants to get to know you.
he will.

MALICIOUS !
chapter one: brother
author
boston, massachusetts 1841
the peer buzzed with ruckus.
fishermen boarding for work, people arriving from europe after traveling for months at most, trading companies getting their goods in, children running around, couples bidding their goodbyes to one another.
the USS Alliance had just docked in the boston harbor moment ago. the passengers getting off safely as they go their own separate ways to return home.
nicolas sturniolo was the last to get off the ship, his two triplet brothers ahead of him.
they had been visiting portugal all summer.
their mother had recently passed away, hence their long stay in her home land where she wished to be buried. they kept that promise. their father resided back in italy and their oldest brother justin held down the fort here in new england.
it was a long year, to say the least. but as long as they had each other, they’d be okay, right?
they had burrowed together with this new phase in their lives.
matthew is rushing ahead which quickly catches nicolas’ attention. he’s pushing through the crowd in which christopher and nicolas have a hard time catching up with him.
the seagulls pry above the dead fish and uncooked meat that’s in the many crates that are being put on ships for trading across seas. the clouds seem to be getting darker, heavier with the rain that drags in it.
nicolas is turning red with frustration over his triplet brother. with the noise and rotten smells the peer carries, he’s easily not in a great mood.
especially after being on a ship for a month with strangers. he was always one to always get sea sick as well which ties into his frustration at the moment.
matthew stops at the street post and inspects the area. he raises his hand above his eyes, pressing into his brow bone and squints.
christopher puffs for air when he finally catches up with matthew at his stop. nicolas is close behind, he nearly trips before catching up with his brothers and standing with them.
“are you out of your mind, brother?” nicolas is hunched over with his hands on his knees, attempting to capture some air in his tired out lungs. “what’s got you in such a elated state?”
matthew’s eyes foster over the crowd and a smile perks on his chapped lips when he sees her.
her flaxen hair appeared to make her stand out from the crowd of people. in all her might, standing at five foot four in the most stunning red garment, her rosy cheeks bringing out her sea colored eyes: lilith bloodthorne.
the boy yells her name before racing over to her but this time his brothers don’t follow so quickly.
“do you think she still remembers him?” christopher snorts, glancing at matthew who’s running down to lilith.
“he’s ought to be out of his mind!” nicolas shrivels, his voice high when he sees his own brother running like a damn lunatic.
lilith jumps with joy when she sees matthew running to her, she ends up meeting him half way. he grabs by the waist and lifts her with delight. she caress his head in her small hands and places the sweetest kiss on his lips.
when he finally puts her down he doesn’t dare to let go. he pulls her in for the biggest hug and takes in her flowery scent.
“my love, it has been too long.” he whispers into her ear.
“matthew, i’m so happy you’re here. and safe! i was worried i wouldn’t see you today…” she confesses as they pull back from the romantic embrace.
“we’re here too, lilith.” christopher’s voice causes the couple to turn their heads. him and nicolas now stood a few feet away from the couple with unsurprised expressions.
“why do you say that, darling?” matthew ignores his brother and turns back to his girl. he drops his hands from his waist and now only held her hand.
“didn’t you hear? a ship arrived yesterday with no passengers aboard. only thing they found was a bunch of luggage yet no one was on the ship.” she explained to her boyfriend.
nicolas draws his attention to his brother’s girlfriend and he raises a brow.
“how is that possible? there must’ve been someone steering the ship if it made it back here.” he wasn’t sure about the story he was being told. there was something else that wasn’t being told.
lilith shakes her head.
“there wasn’t a single person on the boat when it was found. my brother—“
christopher cuts off the fair woman.
“your brother? the same man who’s known to have stolen plenty of antiques from my father’s own kip shop?”
matthew is quick to defend lilith to his own brother. he’s shaking his head with a stern frown on his lips when he’s pointing to his brother.
“can you not, brother?” matthew declared.
“but he’s right.” nicolas had his arms folded over his broad chest when he agrees with christopher.
matthew objects to the accusations he’s receiving from his own siblings.
“how dare you speak about your sister-in-law’s family in such an offensive manner!”
both christopher and nicolas have their jaws on the floor.
“sister-in-law?”
lilith steps into the conversation when she wraps her arm around matthew’s waist and looks up at him lovingly. she lifts up her left arm where a ring adorned her ring finger on her hand.
“he proposed before you guys left for portugal.” she exclaimed.
“and i promise we’d have the wedding when i returned…” matthew added.
nicolas and christopher hadn’t even met this woman a handful of times yet before they left at the beginning of summer. this was just so rushed and unexpected.
matthew was not quite the most outgoing or charming boy in boston. but ever since he had met lilith, she brought out a side of him that not even his own family recognized.
he was now very brave, craved danger, and always spoke his mind. but before out of the three, he had always been the weakest and most sensitive. but now he was just… different.
he had mention lilith a few times to his brothers when he first started seeing her. on their voyage he had mentioned a few things about her but never mentioned anything once about being engaged to her.
it upset both of them to the core. not only were they against it, but they were hurt. the triplets had always been so close and personal with each other. it was a bond like no other, a secret relationship that the world would never understand.
it strikes nicolas and christopher inconsiderate of matthew which was never apart of his typical character to begin with.
but that’s what love does to you, doesn’t it? it can bring out many sides of you, both the good and the bad.
“the wedding will be friday. won’t it, my love?” lilith turns to look up at matthew who’s already smiling down at her.
“anything you want, my darling.”
the triplets and lilith ride back on carriage to the sturniolo estate. it had much grandeur and elegance, reflecting the wealth and status of its owners.
it sprawled across acres of meticulously landscaped gardens, framed by ancient oak trees and winding pathways lined with blooming roses and hedges trimmed into intricate designs.
the manor itself stood as a testament to opulence, with its imposing stone facade adorned with elaborate carvings and a grand entrance flanked by towering columns.
inside, the rooms were adorned with exquisite tapestries, ornate chandeliers, and polished wood paneling that exuded warmth and luxury.
the drawing room boasted plush velvet sofas and gilded mirrors, while the dining hall showcased a long mahogany table set with fine china and silverware fit for a banquet.
surrounding the main house were stables housing sleek horses, a carriage house with elegant carriages, and a charming gardener's cottage nestled among fragrant flower beds.
the manor’s helpers greet the boys and lilith once they have arrived. they receive help with their luggage and any other assistance that was needed.
christopher and nicolas are ahead of lilith and matthew when they get off the carriage and are walking their the garden to get into the manor.
“we’re seriously not going to let him marry her, right?” nicolas whispers to christopher.
“did you see the look in his eyes when he saw her? the poor boy is long gone.” christopher scoffs. he had his hands stuffed into his grey trousers.
“this… this isn’t right. there seems to be something off.” nicolas asserted with his head low.
“what are you proposing, brother?” christopher puckers his lips in question.
“we barley know this woman. what if she’s only using matthew for the money? it wouldn’t be the first time a woman has tried to claw her way into our wealth.”
chris rolls his eyes.
“is that your finale guess?” christopher stopped moving his feet. he turns on his heels to face nicolas who mirrored his actions.
“yes.” nicolas nods.
“i honestly think that she let him get in her sheets faster than most women would and now that’s all he thinks about when it comes to her.” christopher places his hand on his brother’s shoulder and pats him a bit.
nicolas gawks.
“oh you’re sick.”
“don’t knock it till you try it, brother. we’re about to be eighteen and you haven’t even kissed a woman yet.” christopher cackles.
nicolas burns a shade of pink in embarrassment when his brother calls him out. he kisses his teeth before continuing to walk again, christopher only laughs more and follows his triplet.
“there’s just something wrong about this girl. i feel it.” nicolas muttered between him and christopher.
both of them look back at the couple who appear to be in their own little world as they locked arms during their walk. matthew notices his brothers gaze and waves at them warmly.
lilith pretends not to notice this interaction. she dumbly giggles at matthew and whispers something in his ear. he turns to her with a grin and nod.
“we’ll catch up with you two later. me and the missus are gonna explore the garden for a bit.” matthew yells over to his brothers. he turns away with lilith beside him while christopher and nicolas continue walking into their home.
“explore the garden? as if we haven’t lived here our entire lives!” nicolas seethes.
“good pussy makes a man—“
“don’t you dare finish that sentence, christopher, or so may the lord help me!”
the following days, they barely see matthew. it’s crazy how they all lived under the same roof yet they felt like their own brother was disappearing right before them.
it was now thursday which makes the wedding ceremony tomorrow. the manor was busy with the preparations for such a big event for matthew and lilith.
christopher was sitting at the dining table reading the paper while eating the breakfast the maids had prepared for the boys. nicolas steps into the kitchen with his brown ensemble and slicked hair to the side.
he greets the maid with the smile and sits across from christopher at the table. matthew’s seat was empty, which wasn’t unusual these last couple of days so they didn’t bother questioning it.
“morning, brother.” christopher tells nicolas, his eyes not leaving the newspaper he had in his hands.
the maid places a full plate and a cup of fresh orange juice in front of nicolas. he thanks her before continuing his conversation with christopher.
“the jolly ol’ couple didn’t return home last night.” nicolas informed his triplet.
“so?” chris turns the page of his newspaper.
“their wedding is tomorrow and what will we tell people when the bride and groom don’t appear?” nicolas picks up his fork and picks at his eggs.
“i’m sure they’ll be back sometime today. they haven’t shut up about their stupid wedding all week so i doubt they’ll miss it.” chris moves his head slightly to stretch it as he continues reading.
nicolas sighs.
he eats the rest of his breakfast in silence while christopher finishes up reading his daily newspaper. christopher occasionally sips from his mug of tea up until he’s done reading and places the paper on the wooden table.
“it’s quite upsetting he doesn’t wanna tell father that he’s getting married.” christopher announced causing nicolas to choke on his bacon.
“pardon?”
“yeah! i asked him yesterday while we went on a stroll alone. i asked him if he had written to father about the wedding and he said he isn’t going to tell him about it until he’s ready.” christopher elaborates.
“until he’s ready? he’s officially gone mad!” nicolas slams his hand on the table. “i’m gonna give him a piece of my mind when he comes back… if he won’t tell father then i will!”
so nicolas waited.
he waited and waited, hours upon hours the entire day. he sat on a rocking chair on the tiled porch as he waited for matthew’s return… but it never came.
he had christopher go into town to look for matthew and lilith but it turns up that no one had even seen the couple in days either.
the two quickly became worried.
they informed their entire staff about the situation and executed a plan to search for the couple by tomorrow if they didn’t show up by midnight.
they had hoped maybe the couple got carried away and wondered into a different town near by, or maybe got lost and needed a recuse. it didn’t make sense for them to go missing right before their big day.
a mad storm rolled into boston. shaking the ground with thunder and flashing the city with lighting throughout the night. the electricity within the home had gone out.
nicolas couldn’t sleep. all he thought about was his younger brother. he wondered if he was alright and where he might be. he had a gut feeling lilith might have something to do with this but apart of him hoped he was wrong. that maybe the couple had stumbled into trouble and it was neither of their faults.
he tossed and turned in his bed.
it was nearly two in the morning when he decided to go check up on christopher to see if his brother was alright and able to sleep unlike him. he turns the knob of his door and opens it slowly. he peaks into the empty hallway and steps on the tiled floor.
his bare feet pat on their way to christopher’s room down the hall. nicolas knocks before grabbing the handle and turning it to open the door.
he peaks his head into the room but quickly swings it right open when he sees an empty bed. at the same time of his discovery, he hears a loud bang come from outside in the backyard.
nicolas gasps and runs out the room.
he runs down the stairs and sprints out the door, thinking the worst already but hoping it wasn’t anything involving his brothers. it’s pouring rain yet he didn’t seem to care at the moment.
there’s a wail suddenly, the hairs on his neck rise. he’s panting as he runs to where he hears the noise come from.
“christopher!” he yells his brother’s name.
he finds himself running more into the grove in the dark night. he’s panicking yet running off the adrenaline he’s feeling.
the rain had slowly trickled down but the rain still sprinkled from the midnight sky above. he’s soaked and his hair is a complete mop. he’s squinting his eyes into the darkness when he thinks he sees someone.
“christopher!” he shouts.
he gets closer to the figure by walking instead of running this time. the person seems to notice him and began walking closer as well.
he’s halfway there when he realizes who it was.
lilith.
“oh nicolas!” she praises in relief.
“i’m so glad i found you!” she’s soaked in the rain as well. she’s wearing a nightgown and was also barefoot.
“where have you been? where’s matthew?” he pressed her.
“we had just returned from new jersey! but when we did, christopher had greeted us at the door. he was really angry for some reason…” she walks closer to nicolas but he doesn’t dare move from his spot.
there was something about her that was throwing him off.
it was scaring him.
“he picked a fight with matthew verbally before things got physical. he was just so full of rage he hurt both matthew and i.” she shows nicolas the blood on her gown that was near her chest area.
“matthew was just so hurt and felt betrayed. i think the anger got the best of him—“
“where are they?” nicolas cut off her sharply.
lilith now stood in front of nicolas. his face only inching a bit from hers. water dripped from her nose and fell between the valley of her breasts.
“matthew grabbed his gun and chased off christopher. i came looking for them.” her voice appears to be solum and relaxed.
“alone?”
he wasn’t comprehending any of this. why would a woman be outside in the pouring rain all alone at this hour? matthew was never this violent with their sibling fights and christopher knew his limits with matthew when it came to their fights.
nicolas is staring down at lilith as he waits for her answer.
“well i’m not one to share my meals.” she wickedly smiles at him, fangs prompting out profusely. her eyeballs turn bloodshot while her lower eyelids grow dark and veiny.
her grip is strong when she pulls him closer to her. she’s quick with it too, he doesn’t realize when she’s doing to him by the time he’s got her fangs in his neck.
he tries to fight against her, doing everything in his power to get her away. he’s clawing at her and finally she lets go with a hiss when punches her in the rib as hard as he could.
he shoves her away in which she tumbles back. he touches his neck and feels a warm liquid on his fingers. he looks down at his hand and sees the blood on it.
he lets out a gasp.
he’s in complete shock.
he wants to move but his body won’t let him. he’s feels his whole world coming down on him as he realizes he’s about to die.
he thinks of matthew and christopher.
lilith gains balance once again and was ready to finish off nicolas. she lunged herself at him causing the both of them to fall to the ground.
she’s attacking his neck once again but this time he’s too weak to fight back. his vision becomes blurry as he falls limp.
the sound of a gunshot rang in the air causing him to widen his eyes. lilith lets out a scream when nicolas now notices a bullet that’s stuck in her shoulder blade.
she raises above nicolas to run off and escape. but before she does, she sinisterly smiles down at him with such pride in her eyes.
“you were right.” she mocks him before dispersing before his eyes.
there’s blood all over him and he feels himself give out slowly. he hears familiar yelling and he could nearly cry when he sees matthew standing above him.
matthew gasp in horror when he falls down on his knees besides nicolas.
“no… not you too.” he quietly whines.
nicolas tries to speak but he fails to. he’s thinking matthew is about to say his finale goodbye, that he’s gonna carry this trauma for the rest of his life seeing his own triplet die.
but he doesn’t.
instead, he puts his right wrist in front of his mouth and bites into it. there’s blooding leaking from his pale skin and he rubs it against nicolas’ lips.
“drink it. it’ll be okay.” matthew gently rubs nicolas’ scalp to try and comfort him.
nicolas shakes his head, not understanding why he had to do this. matthew simply doesn’t that no for an answer and begins to force nicolas to drink his own blood.
it was the last thing nicolas remembers before falling unconscious.
the next morning, he’s in his own bed again. he jumps to sit up and touches his neck due to his last memories. he feels that there’s no blood or wounds on his neck.
he scrunches his brows together in confusion as he gets out of bed to look in the mirror. he examines himself but only to find nothing wrong with him.
maybe it was a bad dream?
he hopes it was.
the birds were chirping outside his window and the sky was now clear. there was no sight of rain at all.
he shakes his head to rid himself of the thoughts of the horrible nightmare he experienced last night. he goes to his door and opens it to leave the room.
he’s undeniably starving right now. he makes his way downstairs once again for breakfast. he’s walking to the dining room when he smells the most delicious scent.
he hears christopher and matthew in the dining room as well which causes him to smile to himself. he definitely was just dreaming last night.
he’s beaming when he turns around the corner into the dining room.
but his smile plummets at the sight before him.
a deceased body was placed in the middle of the table. christopher was gawning at the person’s neck like a zombie, not sign of life behind his crystal eyes.
matthew is right before him, standing next to him with a comforting hand on his back. as if he was helping christopher deal with a negative matter and was giving him reassurance. matthew sees nicolas walk into the room and smiles up at him.
“come in! come in! we have plenty of more of these so don’t worry about christopher being a body hogger.” matthew chuckles casually and points at the body in front of him on the table.
nicolas is beyond speechless.
he’s frozen up again.
“don’t be scared, nicolas.” matthew shakes his head at the shaken up boy. he steps over to his triplet and looks him dead in the cold dead eyes.
“it’s just me, brother.”

“say it.” | m.s
╰┈➤ reader refusing to say 'i love you' back to matt before matt goes out with nick and chris.
pairings : vampire!matt x human!reader
warnings/contains : biting , not proofread , i think that's it (lmk if not!!)
wc : 357
you blankly continued to obliviously watch the boring movie on the television in front of you, trying your hardest to remain a firm poker face.
“i love you.” he repeated almost instantly in a stern and expectant tone, his face almost reaching a glare as he awaited the response he wanted.
“mhm, see you in a bit.” you replied nonchalantly, pouting slightly to cover up the smirk tugging at the corner of your lips.
the air around you was thick with anticipation as you anxiously but smugly waited to see how he’d respond.
matt scoffed frustratedly, like you’d just offended him in the worst way possible–to him you basically had.
he rapidly stormed toward the bed. “what?” you frown, feigning uncertainty even though you knew exactly why he was marching back over.
“you know ‘what’.” he muttered, his irritation growing. he grabbed your wrist tightly and pulled you up from your previous position where you were sitting comfortably on your bed.
his hands sneakily snaked onto your waist. his carnation pink coloured lips attach themselves to your neck as he carefully guided you backwards until your back was pressed flush against the nearby wall.
his teeth gently but demandingly bit into the skin of your neck, the little fangs building at the side of his teeth punishingly digging into your flesh.
“say it.” he demanded.
“say wh-” you began, a smirk creeping onto your face–luckily matt was too focused on your neck to notice it.
“say i love you back.” he cut you off.
you defiantly stayed silent. until you felt his blunt fangs bite deeper into your skin. not enough to hurt you, but enough to leave a slight mark engraved on your skin.
“okay, okay,” you chuckled softly. “i love you too, matt.”
he abruptly pulled back. “good.” matt patted your hip before continuing to walk out of the bedroom like before, acting as if you hadn’t refused to say ‘i love you’ back previously. his expression was calm, now unbothered.
a/n : i don't like this one that much, i just wanted to write vampire!matt again but i didn't really have any ideas tbh

“What do we do with the body?” You lick your lip, glancing up from Macie to Matt, “We can’t just-“
“I’ll get it. But you have to come with me.” He walks up to you, “Promise me you’ll stay with me.”
You take a deep breath, nodding as you look up at him, “I promise.”
He pulls you in for a kiss and steps back, “Go wash your face, if anyone spots you, I don’t want you to be covered in blood.”
“Matt, it’s four in the morning, who’s going to-“
He cuts you off, “You never know, okay? Can you just do that please?”
You nod and make your way to the bathroom. You stop, staring at your new and transformed self in the mirror. Your fingers run down over the semi dried blood coating your chin and you lick your lips, sighing at the taste as you turn the water on.
You wipe off, throwing the towel in the garbage before making your way over to change into a new top. You throw on a hoodie and walk back out to Matt.
He moves to pick up Macie, lifting her like her dead weight was nothing, “We’ll come back and get this taken care of, for-“
You cut him off, “When do we go after Damian?”
“One step at a time, baby. Okay? We have to focus on getting her to the woods first.” He walks over to you, “How are you?”
You nod, “I’m good.”
“Are you sure?” He raises his brows and you sigh, “I’m hungry again.”
“That’s to be expected. We’ll have to get you on animal blood soon. We can start-“
“Animal blood?” You scoff, “That sounds gross.”
“I know, but it tastes the same.. after a few days.” Matt sighs, “Just stay with me. Once they find her, you’ll probably be one of the first people to be contacted, and you need-“
“I know, to be under control because I’ll be around people, but I-“ you stop talking as Matt cuts you off, “Hey. One step at a time, okay?”
You nod, “Okay.”
“Good, now..” he walks over to your room and you follow him, “Keep up.”
You smirk and jump out after him, following him the whole way to the woods. Right as you enter, you stop, looking around, “They found Jace’s body.”
“Yeah, I figured that would happen.” Matt tosses the body in his arms do the ground and reaches for your hand, “Didn’t think it would take them this long.”
You laugh slightly and look around, “I’m starving.”
He nods, “A few rabbits should be enough.. we just gotta-“
“What’s he doing out here?” You look at Matt, “Do you hear that?”
Matt nods as he looks around, “He shouldn’t be out here.”
“We can- I mean.. he helped didn’t he?” You look at Matt and he nods, “He just made it easy for us.” He looks down at you, “Come on.”
He leads you away, the sound of Graham’s footsteps growing louder by the second.
“Stop right here.” Matt pulls you in close to him, “We need to make sure he’s alone. Can you listen and tell me if you think he’s alone?”
You close your eyes, tilting your head as you focus on your hearing.
“Yeah, yeah. It’s just him.” You swallow, growing more antsy as you just stand there, “When can we-“
Matt puts his finger to his lips and you stop talking, turning your head slowly as the footsteps seem to be right on the other side of the tree.
“Now.” Matt mouths and you were gone.
You grab Graham by the shirt and throw him to the ground, your knee on his chest, “Hi.”
“What the- y/n?” He blinks a few times, “What the fuck are you doing out here?” You tilt your head, looking into his eyes, “Why are you out here?”
“Damian wanted me to try and find Matt’s body and hide it.”
“Tell me what part of Matt’s disappearance you played.”
“I-I held him while Damian kicked his ass.”
“Why?”
“He said, that I needed to man up, do something to prove myself.”
“Hmm.” You stand up, “Do you believe in being in the wrong place at the right time?”
“What- I don’t, I don’t know what you mean? Y/n, what’s going on? You’re scaring me.” His breathing grows more rapid, “Y/n.”
“Do you?” You look at him and he shrugs, “I mean, yeah I guess.”
“Do you want to know something?” You walk up to him, “You just so happen to be in the wrong place, but at the perfect time for me.” You spin him around, sinking your fangs into his neck and he lets out a yell, “F-fuck! Fuck!”
Matt walks out and stands in front of Graham, “Remember me?”
You tilt your head back and he falls down on the ground, trying to slide away, “N-no, there’s.. you were dead.”
“That’s what they all say.” Matt laughs and shakes his head, “they’re always so surprise to see that I’m alive and well.”
“What the fuck!” Graham groans, pulling his hand away to look at it, “T-there’s.. blood, you fucking.. bitch you ripped open my neck.”
You lick your lips and bend down, “Yeah, sorry. Just trying to get used to this whole vampire stuff.”
“V-vam-“ he scoffs, “What the fuck?”
“You’re going to die, Graham.” Matt bends down in front of him, “But you won’t be coming back like me.” He pats his leg and gives you a nod.
You’re behind the injured man, finishing the job by ripping through his neck and sucking his blood until he’s pale.
“Atta girl, baby.” Matt bites his lip and you look up at him as you stand up, “Am I pretty good at this vampire stuff yet?”
He squints, giving you a smirk, “I’d say so.” He walks over, pecking you on the cheek, “Let’s go get you cleaned up.”
You’re down by the stream, sitting there in the last little bit of moonlight the night has to offer as Matt cleans off your face, “I think you should kill Damian. He’s the one who got you into this.”
“Yeah but-“
You cut him off, “No. I want to watch you get your revenge on him. I want to watch you scare him.”
A smirk appears on his lips and he nods, “Alright, if you say so.” He rinses his hand off and looks at you, “You know, you’re handling this change pretty good.”
“What do you mean?” You tilt your head and he shrugs, “I don’t know, I thought you’d be on a rampage by now.. I’m glad you’re not.”
“As long as you’re with me, I don’t think I have anything to worry about. You ground me.”
He smiles and gasps, “Oh, here.” He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a ring, “As soon as you- as soon as I killed you..” he laughs and you smile, “Right.”
“I went out, got Roman to get me this.” He reaches for your hand and you give it to him. He slides the ring on your finger, “It’s a daylight ring, so you don’t have to hide in the shadows all the time.”
Right as the words leave his lips. The sunlight of early morning creeps through the trees, reflecting off of your ring, “What.. would have happened if you didn’t give this to me?”
“You’d burn, your skin would literally catch on fire. I had to learn the hard way.”
Your eyes go wide and Matt sighs, “Yeah, I’m glad I remembered about it.”
“I appreciate it, really.” You lean in, “Thank you.” You press your lips to his and he reaches up to cup your face, “You’re not ready to be in a crowed yet, but when you are, it’ll help you blend in more.”
“We should probably get back to clean my apartment right?”
He nods, “Yes. Not a bad idea.”
“I’ll race you.” You immediately start running and Matt is right behind you.
You couldn’t explain it other than Matt was right, you felt free. You felt good. You felt like you could run the world.
You were loving this feeling.
That was until your hunger struck and an unsuspecting early morning hiker caught your attention. You immediately flew off the path, but Matt was hot on your tail.
But a split second behind.
You pounced on the hiker like a lion to its prey. Your teeth immediately sinking into the vein in her neck and sucking.
“Y/n!” Matt pulls you off of her, “That’s not what we said we were doing!” He looks at the girl struggling on the ground and he looks back at you, “You hurt her, but you can also help her.”
You clench your jaw, looking down at her before moving to kneel down, “Go to the hospital and say an animal attacked you..”
She gets up and immediately starts running back down the trail and Matt sighs, “Baby..”
“I-I’m sorry..” you look down, wiping off the blood from your chin on your wrists, then your pants, “It just.. happened, it just came over me I couldn’t-“
“I know, I know. I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have-“
“Trusted me?”
“No, no.” Matt pushes your chin up, looking into your eyes, “You did nothing wrong. I just need to stay with you.”
“No more racing?”
He chuckles and shakes his head, “No more racing, let’s just get to your apartment. I have a feelings this place will be swarming with cops and two of your bodies will be found.”
You nod, “Okay.”

“It’s crazy how we can move and not be detected.” You say as you finish scrubbing the floor, “Why couldn’t we compel someone to do this for us?”
“Because, baby. We have to clean up our own messes sometimes.” Matt kneels down next to you, “But you’ll master the technique of being clean as you go.”
“I’m sorry about the hiker.”
“I told you, it’s fine.” He runs his hand over your hair and stands up, “I’ve been thinking about how I want to get back at Damian.”
You sit down, turning to face him as he sits down on the couch, “How?”
“Once the news gets out about Macie, I want you to act like nothing is wrong, we’ll feed you before so you’re controlled for a little. But you check up on him, make sure he’s okay, and that’s when I’ll come into play.”
Your phone dings and you pull it from your pocket, “Macie has been found. So has Graham. Both labeled as animal attacks and they’re ordering everyone in town to stay out of the woods, day and night.”
Matt tilts his head, “Looks like it’s showtime.” He nods, “Call Damian, do you have his number?”
You nod, “Yeah, Macie gave it to me the one time we were at a party and her phone broke. She had him come get us.” You roll your eyes and look at him, “That was before you.”
He smirks slightly and nods, “I figured.”
You put the phone to your ear and it rings a few times before he answers, “Were you with her last night?”
“She left my apartment in the middle of the night, I tried to stop her but she wouldn’t stay.”
“And you didn’t go with her? Follow her? Something, anything like that? God you are so fucking stupid.” He sniffles, “that was my girl, y/n.”
Matt gives you a look and you sigh, “That was my best friend, Damian.”
The words tasted sour on your tongue.
“Sure as fuck didn’t seem it. You were so far up Matt’s ass you barely seen her. Always pushing her to the back burner. You weren’t her friend. She wasn’t anything to you.”
He hangs up and you stare at Matt and he tilts his head, “He’s dead.”
He stands up and starts to pace, “There’s no way he’s going to sit there and insult you after what he’s done.” He shakes his head, “No, no. He’s going to pay for everything. Me, you.” He clenches his jaw, “I’m going to make it hurt.”
“When are we-“
“Now.”
“You don’t want to wait?” You stand up and walk over to him, “What about-“
“Y/n.”
The tone in Matt’s voice and the way his eyes flicker silence you immediately. You swallow and look down, taking a few deeps breaths to try and control yourself.
“I’m sorry.” He whispers, “I just- I’m..” he scoffs, “Unable to put into words how mad I am, and you need me right now and I just-“
“You’re still figuring things out, too.” You look at him, “While trying to deal with me, and now this.. it’s my fault.. I started this. We could have waited like you said and I just- I jumped the gun. I’m sorry.”
“They deserved what happened to them. All three of them. If it wasn’t you, it would have been me.” Matt walks over to you, “I’m sorry.”
He pulls you in for a hug and he sighs, “It looks animals are the only thing we can get you right now. I know it sounds gross, but you need to eat. I need you to be right here, with me.”
You nod, “I’ll give it a shot.”

Back in the woods, deep in the woods, Matt is giving you pointers on how to hunt small game, “You gotta be quick.” He snickers, “And, it’ll be hard the first time, took me a few tries to catch a rabbit, so don’t be hard on yourself if-“
You catch a rabbit. First try. [Rip little buddy]
Matt’s jaw falls slack as he watches you feed, “Okay, there’s no way.”
You smirk as you drop it down to the ground, “What?” You laugh as you walk over to him, “Shocked I’m a better vampire than you?”
He laughs as your teasing remark and rolls his eyes, “Yeah, sure.”
“Oh, there’s another.” You lunge to get it, but you miss and Matt laughs, “That’s more like it.”
You throw a rock at him but he catches it quickly, “Hey now, no need to be a sore loser.”
“I’ll show you sore.” You lunge at him, slamming him up against a tree as you attack his lips with yours. Your hand runs through his hair as you kiss down his neck and he groans as you gently bite down on his skin.
“Y/n.”
“What, baby?” You bite your lip as you lean back to look at him, “afraid you might hurt me?”
He smirks and shakes his head, “No, no.” His hands grip your waist and he spins around, slamming your back against the tree, “I just like to be the dominant one.”
“I’m sure we can take turns.” You bite your lip and smile as he kisses down your neck. His hands move to push your pants down as you work at undoing his jeans.
“I’ve been waiting for you to want this.” He whispers as he lifts you up, “You have no idea.”
You look down at him, resting your head back against the tree as you feel him slip into you. You gasp, tightening your grasp around him as you feel him thrust in deeper, “Fuck, me too.”
His lips attach to your neck as his thrusts are quick to pick up a pace, “You still feel as good as ever.”
Your eyes roll back as the heightened feelings smack you like a truck, “F-fuck.” You move your head, connecting your lips with his, “Feels so fucking good, so fucking good.”
“Y-yeah.” Matt groans out, “It does.”
It doesn’t take you long before your both at your peak and you can feel him spilling inside of you with a loud groan.
You pant, moaning out as you come down from your high and he sets you down.
“That was so fast.” He laughs, “I didn’t.. think that would be fast, too.”
You nod, standing up to step back into your pants, “I mean, I guess..” you laugh, speaking between breathes, “it’s a good thing that we have eternity to see how many times we can do it.”
He bites his lip as he buttons his jeans, “You would be correct.” He kisses your cheek, “How’s the hunger?”
“I could eat.. again.” You sigh, “When is this going to stop being a constant thing?”
“Soon, baby.” He shrugs, “Took me a couple months. When I thought I was, I really wasn’t, so it’ll take a bit.”
“Once we get rid of Damian, we can leave right?” You look at Matt and he nods, “Yes. We can go, let’s just get you a few more animals before we finish this.”
You nod and spend the next hour hunting.
“How do you feel?” Matt asks as he watches you finish off another rabbi, and you nod, “Good.”
Feel like you can walk up to Damian’s door and convince him to let you in?”
“Why would I need-“
“Oh, right. Yeah, you can’t just walk into anyone’s house anymore. You have to be invited in.”
You give him a confused look, “How come you’re able to come into my house without me inviting you in?”
He laughs, “Baby, that’s our apartment.”
“Right yeah.” You sigh, “Sorry, it’s been so long I must have forgot we added your name to it right before..” you trail off and he pulls you in for a hug, “I’m here now.”
“You’re here now.” You nod and he kisses your head, “Come on.”
You make your way through the woods and next thing you know, you’re at Damian’s front door, knocking with an empty box in your hands.
“Go away.” He yells on the other side and you sigh, “Damian. Please. Open the door. I have stuff from Macie.”
The door slowly opens and he looks out at you, “Just set it down.”
“No, you’re going to let me in and we’re going to talk about this. She was my best friend, too. She helped me with the while Matt thing, Damian. I owed her a lot.”
“Just leave-“
“No.”
“God you’re so fucking stubborn.” He closes the door and unlocks it, “Fine. Come in.” You slowly extend your foot out over the threshold and walk in with ease.
You walk over to the table and set the box down, “Can you do something for me?” You look at Damian and he sighs, “What?”
You stare into his eyes, “Invite Matt into your home.”
Damian looks at the door with zero hesitation, “Matt, please come in.”
Matt walks in, closing the door behind him and Damian blinks, “What the fuck!?” He looks from Matt to you, “What did you do to me?”
“I didn’t do anything.” You shrug, “What makes you think I did?”
“Because I just-“ he scoffs, “I just invited a dead dude into my house for one.. and two-“
Matt is there with his hand around his throat in a flash, “I don’t give a fuck what you have to say.” He throws him against the wall and you stand there with your brows raised.
You lean on the table, crossing your arms as you watch Matt walk over and pick him up, holding him against the wall to where his feet barely touch the ground.
“How are you here? I fucking killed you!?”
Matt laughs, “Wow, didn’t even need to compel it out of you.” He looks at you, “You see this?”
You nod, “Yeah, it’s almost like he’s proud of it or something.” You turn your attention to Damian, “Are you?”
“I’d do it all over again if she asked me to.”
“Who?” You told your head, “Ohhh, you mean your dead girlfriend? Yeah, she told me everything when I compelled it out of her.”
“She also blabbed to her friend about it, so..” Matt sighs, “I should make you turn yourself into the cops, but.. that won’t be as fun.”
“As fun as wh-“
Matt squeezes his throat and he starts gasping for air. Hes practically purple by the time he drops him to the floor.
Damian tries to crawl away but Matt steps on his back, “Yeah, no we’re not doing that.” He picks him up and looks at you as he spins the weakened man towards you, “Tell y/n you’re sorry.”
“Fuck you both.”
“That didn’t sound like an apology, baby. Did it?” You purse your lips, “I’m getting hungry, again.”
“In a minute baby.” Matt slams Damian against the wall and looks into his eyes, “Why did you kill me?”
“Macie hated you. You made her unhappy. I was only trying to make my girlfriend happy.”
“Bullshit.” Matt steps away and takes a swing. Damian groans and falls to the floor. Your eyes, along with Matt’s flash as the smell of the blood coming from his busted cheek.
“Matt.” You whisper, “I’m-“
Matt lifts Damian up and bites into his neck, “Come on, baby. Join me.”
You flash over, attacking the other side of his neck with your fangs and you can feel the life leave the body in your grasp.
He drops down to the floor with a thud, and you turn to Matt, pulling him in for a kiss. You lick the blood from his chin and he licks it from yours.
“Are we going after Amara?” You whisper as you tilt your head back, “She also knows.”
Matt shakes his head, “No. I think it’s time to just go.” He leans back, “start our lives together. We can go anywhere.”
“Anywhere?” You ask with a smile and he shakes his head, “No, baby. We can go everywhere.”
