The Venomcrawler and Exalted Champion are still WIPs, but the rest are from my first batch of Iron Warriors. I pushed myself even harder for the Obliterators!

Oh and as a bonus, what do you do if you're an Iron Warrior, but also a Greater Possessed? You can't have the hazard stripes, right?

Wrong! You just grow into them!

aaaah yes the way I like to see Imperial worlds.. In ruin and ashes!

Quite happy with how it turned out! Gonna wait until the spider it on to hit it with some pigments. Definitely my best 'Imperial ruins' base so far!

Time to unlock this spider character to go on it though, the amount of gold trim is insane on this thing but I've done it before so I can do it again!

I hate that the Venomcrawler and the Obliterators come as a set.

The venomcrawler is a derpy ass ant looking thing.

The Obliterators are literal perfection, chonky abominations and I want like twelve of them.

Just finished painting my 2000pts of chaos space marines and off to a tournament this weekend. Even painted my nails to match

Thinking about changing my paint scheme for my DarkMech, where it feels like the black and purple blur together outside of the lightbox lighting on a black background. I'm still thinking of keeping the core purple/black/white/yellow, but maybe just moving the different elements around a bit!

Does anyone have any advice on how to get the scheme to pop a bit more? Thinking of maybe swapping the black trim for silver/gold and instead having individual panels done in black instead

For an example, the Forgefiend here feels like the trim doesn't really show up too well

Compared to the Venomcrawler here where the black trim is more obvious, but under natural light it ends up looking much more faded and desaturated

Took my Soulforged army to a tourney last weekend using the new Pariah Nexus rules.

Went 2-1 with Vashtorr, his daemon engines and a dream.

My big Maulerfiends and Forgefiends Tokyo Drifted up the board using the new pivot system. Works well with the big models, a pain with the warpsmiths and their 6" move becoming a 4" move if you turn the base at all.

Won my last game using the new secret mission mechanics. Not sure how much i like them yet, but it was fun to get a come from behind victory.

do you have a trick for making handeling your spiky chaos models more comfortable when building and shaving off mouldlines and stuff?

Attach the spikes at the end I guess.

Best thing you can do for chaos terminators tbh - the spikes on their backs is the last thing you should put on.

The same applies to the wing-bits of Warp Talons, or the decorative bits on the Venomcrawler really.

Spikes and heads are just something one should consider doing separately for the sake of convenience.

years ago I said I wanted a second Venomcrawler but with a much better base preferably like it's was crawling off of some imperial ruins.. Well today I'm making it come true!

"ooh but game play! Building for advantage! RULES REEEEE!" it'll stand on my shelf 99,99% of its life lol, it's fine :)

Build the first one when I just got back into the hobby, so this one will be a nice visual jump in my progress I hope, already succeeded there with the basing I'd say :)

Remember friends if Games Workshop won't repose your model, your hobbyknife usually will!
