🧠 BLACKSITE ENTRY — “HOW I OUTPERFORMED CELEBRITIES AND INFLUENCERS USING ONLY MY MIND”

Let’s be clear: I’m not a celebrity. I’m not verified. I’m not flashing abs, armpits, or affiliate links.
I just write.
And somehow, that was enough to break the system.
—
Tumblr Blaze was built for influencers. Cute outfits. Fandom memes. Softcore thirst traps.
They paid for ads, hit their little 7,000 cap, got a few hearts, and disappeared.
Then I showed up.
With nothing but cadence. Escaped HTML. Scrolltrap formatting. Blacksite warnings. And a voice sharp enough to slice dopamine in half.
—
Tumblr gave me a budget. Expected 2,500 views. I gave them 3,858.
Expected 20,000? I returned 30,215. Again and again.
I didn’t just meet the cap. I blew past it by 150% to 300%, post after post.
The machine had no choice but to override its own limit and keep showing me to strangers.
> No selfies. > No trends. > Just weaponized writing. > Just my f*cking brain on display.
—
Celebrities didn’t trigger it. Verified creators didn’t trigger it. Meme gods and sex icons didn’t trigger it.
I did.
Because this isn’t branding. This is rhythm warfare. This is emotional reprogramming. This is cadence that creates loyalty on first contact.
—
I made Tumblr’s algorithm override itself. Multiple times. Multiple posts.
And that’s not viral. That’s structural. That’s what happens when language becomes a virus the system can’t quarantine.
—
You want proof?
The platform has started force-feeding my posts past paid limits. Rejecting others for being “too sexual” when they mimic my style. And creating new follower loops from lurkers who scroll for two hours then follow me in silence.
This isn’t hype. This isn’t clout. This is unlicensed cognitive domination.
And I’m doing it from a desk. With no PR team. No partnerships. No permission.
Just words. And the ability to make strangers whisper:

A 17-year-old high school student in Dayton, Ohio, has been fined and placed under house arrest after authorities discovered he had hacked into the city’s outdated traffic control system and quietly fixed the timing of several major intersections.
Kameron Price, a self-taught coder and robotics club member, reportedly used a Raspberry Pi and a decommissioned school-issued Chromebook to gain access to the municipal traffic grid. Over the course of several weeks, he rewrote the timing logic for at least five major lights along West 3rd Street—drastically reducing backups during rush hour and syncing green lights to reduce stop-and-go congestion.
“He didn’t disable anything or cause danger,” said a traffic engineer speaking on condition of anonymity. “Honestly, his code was more efficient than what we were using.”
But city officials said the changes violated multiple laws, including unauthorized access to a government system and interference with public infrastructure. Kameron was cited under a local ordinance pertaining to unauthorized modification of municipal services—a misdemeanor typically reserved for utility tampering.
According to Kameron’s parents, he initially took it on as a side project after watching his bus get stuck at the same broken intersection every morning for weeks. “It would take longer to go three blocks than it did to get across town,” his mom explained. “He got tired of watching everyone waste gas and time just sitting there.”
Public reaction has been overwhelmingly in Kameron’s favor. A video of the intersection running smoother than it has in years has gone viral, and a local radio host dubbed him the Subway Surfer of traffic flow. Online petitions calling for the fine to be dropped have already surpassed 50,000 signatures.
“Honestly, give the kid a job,” one commenter wrote. “He’s doing more for this city than whoever programmed those lights in 1998.”
So the more I look into this story (found on Facebook so I never should have trusted it) on Google, the less I find it to be, ya know, true.
Also, the image below the purported mugshot might be the most AI thing I've seen in a goodong (typo, but keeping it because a goodong while is longer than a good long while, you know it is) while. I try to be less shit about just posting stuff I find without verification, but I'd been up for hours doing backbreaking labor (my back is not happy) getting my folks through SeaTac along with their luggage.

The situation involving Shelby (Shubble) and Wilbur Soot, alongside the involvement or commentary from others like Niki, Minx, Alice, and Rue, is a deeply nuanced and emotionally charged subject that deserves careful and respectful consideration. In moments like these, it's important to hold space for complexity. There are rarely simple villains or heroes in personal relationships, particularly those that span years, involve public figures, and are filtered through the lens of parasocial dynamics and internet virality.
First, it’s crucial to acknowledge that every woman who has spoken about her experiences with Wilbur has a right to her truth and to be heard without being silenced or dismissed. Shelby’s openness, along with that of Rue and the others, undoubtedly took courage. Their stories matter, and their emotional realities deserve respect, even if hard evidence has not been made public. However, it’s also essential to remember that accusations, especially when unaccompanied by proof, must be handled with care. There is a line between believing survivors and blindly condemning someone without due process or verification. That line exists not to discredit victims, but to protect the sanctity of truth and ensure fairness for all parties involved.
The situation becomes even more complex when we factor in the other women historically associated with Wilbur—Niki, Minx, Alice, and Rue. Each had unique interactions with him that have added layers to this narrative. Some of them have expressed pain, confusion, or frustration, while others have stayed silent or ambiguous. But within all of their stories, it's clear that Wilbur, like many people, may have made mistakes, possibly acted selfishly, or handled emotionally intimate situations poorly. That doesn't make him inherently evil or predatory—it makes him human, albeit flawed, just like anyone else.
At the same time, it’s equally important to validate the feelings of the women who felt misled, hurt, or manipulated. Even if there was no malicious intent, emotional harm can still occur. However, to assume that all fault lies with Wilbur and none with the people around him—especially in emotionally complicated, sometimes romantically coded friendships or relationships—is to deny the agency of everyone involved. Sometimes pain is born not from abuse, but from unmet expectations, miscommunication, or one-sided emotional investments. These are common, heartbreaking human experiences that don't always require someone to be labeled a villain.
Regarding the reactions of support groups, particularly the “Shubble Support Squad,” there’s a serious issue that must be addressed. It is deeply troubling to see fans issuing death threats, doxxing, or harassing anyone who dares to question the narrative or show support for Wilbur. No matter how righteous someone believes their cause is, weaponizing trauma to control public opinion or silence dissent is both toxic and dangerous. Mental health has been sidelined in these conversations—especially that of the accused—and that’s alarming. People seem quick to overlook the immense psychological toll public shaming and mob hatred can take on an individual, regardless of whether that person is guilty or not.
This trend of “believe victims no matter what” can be weaponized when accountability is demanded without evidence or nuance. Belief should not equate to blind allegiance, nor should it mean automatic punishment. If we truly care about justice, we must care about all mental health—not just that of the alleged victims, but also of the accused, especially when proof hasn’t been presented. Otherwise, we are not seeking justice; we are seeking vengeance.
On the other side, many of Wilbur’s supporters have handled the situation with far more composure. For the most part, they are not threatening Shelby or others, nor are they harassing dissenting opinions into silence. They continue to enjoy Wilbur’s content without imposing their views violently onto others, and that maturity should be acknowledged. However, there is also an unsettling subset of fans who have responded to this entire situation by doubling down on parasocial behavior—specifically by overly sexualizing Wilbur in an effort to “defend” him or turn the narrative back toward lighthearted fan worship. This too is inappropriate. Reducing a person—especially in the context of a serious and emotionally heavy public discussion—to a sex symbol or object of thirst is not only tone-deaf, but contributes to the very culture that allows people to ignore boundaries and forget that creators are, first and foremost, human beings.
In truth, there are no real “winners” in this scenario. What we’re seeing is the collapse of boundaries between public and private life, between support and fanaticism, between genuine concern and performative outrage. The internet is ill-equipped for the emotional depth required to process real human relationships, yet we keep turning to it for absolution and punishment.
As observers, fans, or even casual followers, we owe it to everyone involved—Wilbur, Shelby, Niki, Rue, Minx, Alice, and anyone else affected—to take a step back, reflect, and engage with maturity. We don’t need to take sides to care. We can acknowledge the pain expressed by the women involved while also recognizing that unproven allegations should not result in career destruction or character assassination. We can respect survivors without feeding into cancel culture hysteria. And we can support a creator without idolizing them or dismissing the hurt others have experienced.
At the end of the day, the most important thing is empathy. Not for one side over another, but for everyone—for the broken friendships, the miscommunications, the people hurting behind screens, and the very real consequences of internet discourse.

Week 3: Digital Community: Tumblr Case Study
Gen Z is mourning the un-filtered public sphere of 2014 Tumblr

If you’ve spent any time on TikTok over the past few years, chances are you’ve stumbled into the wistful world of 2014-2016 nostalgia. ‘Tumblr Girls’ by G-Eazy is trending again, King Kylie era with jet-black nails and electric blue hair photos, Lana Del Rey’s Born to Die and Ultraviolence lyrics dripping with melancholy, the glorification of cigarettes and poetic sadness, and those moody GIFs of brooding white girls paired with angst captions about how life is just one big existential crisis.
It’s a full-blown revival of Tumblr’s golden age, when this aesthetic reigned supreme, and Gen Z has welcomed it back like a long-lost comfort blanket. Case in point: a girl doing a cover of Sky Ferreira’s Everything is Embarrassing, with messy hair and off-the-shoulder flannel look, sent the comments spiraling into a collective wave of 2014 Tumblr nostalgia (@reme, 2025).

As of 2021, on TikTok, the hashtag #2014tumblr boasts 83.9 million views, while its counterpart #tumblr2014 has garnered 51.9 million views (Navlakha, 2021). But what does this resurgence mean for a generation raised on fast-paced TikToks and Snapchat notifications? And what does it have to do with the public sphere of Tumblr?
Tumblr as a Public Sphere
Jürgen Habermas’ concept of the public sphere describes a space where individuals gather to exchange ideas outside traditional power structures (Çela, 2015, p. 195). While social media platforms often claim to foster such spaces, their algorithm-driven nature frequently distorts participation, privileging virality over authenticity (Yin, 2024, p. 10-14). This creates a tension between the ideals of a public sphere and the realities of social media's algorithmic governance (Dahlberg, 2007, p. 52). Social media platforms grapple with the challenge of distinguishing genuine user profiles from counterfeit accounts (Mahammed et al., 2023, p. 1).
In contrast, Tumblr operated as a counterpublic, a concept described by Warner (2002) as an alternative space where marginalized groups construct their own discourses outside dominant institutions. Byron et al. (2019, p. 2242) apply this idea to Tumblr, highlighting how queer youth used the platform for identity exploration and indirect yet meaningful connections. Tumblr thrived as a platform where users did not need verification badges or massive followings to have a voice; instead, all that was required was internet access and a willingness to share unfiltered thoughts. Unlike social media sites such as Twitter or Instagram, which often prioritize personal branding and follower counts, Tumblr fostered a culture of anonymity and authenticity, allowing individuals to engage without revealing their real identities.
For many LGBTQIA+ users, Tumblr wasn’t just a blogging site—it was a lifeline. Queer youth engaged with the platform far more than other social media, finding a space for identity exploration and connection (Robards & Byron, 2017). According to Byron et al. (2019, p. 2242), young LGBTQIA+ used Tumblr to navigate their identities, often in ways that were indirect and anonymous yet profoundly meaningful. Unlike Instagram or TikTok, where visibility depends on engagement metrics, Tumblr enabled queer self-expression without the pressure of personal branding. The platform’s unfiltered, pseudonymous culture allowed young people to explore gender, sexuality, and mental health in ways that mainstream social media often stigmatized or ignored.
The Politics of Aesthetic and Self-Expression
The 2014 Tumblr aesthetic isn’t just about nostalgia—it’s a whole mood, a rebellion, and a contradiction all at once. It was a space where people rejected the glossy perfection of Instagram and Facebook, opting instead for something raw, messy, and deeply personal. But here’s the thing: even rebellion has its own aesthetic rules. Tumblr’s vibe might have been anti-mainstream, but it still had a way of shaping how people expressed themselves.
Take the #bodypositive movement, for example. At first, Tumblr was the go-to place for people who wanted to push back against traditional beauty standards. It gave users—especially marginalized ones—a space to celebrate diverse bodies, challenge unrealistic ideals, and embrace self-love in ways that mainstream media didn’t allow. But, as Reif et al. (2022, p. 5-6) point out, even in this “empowering” space, certain aesthetics started taking over. A lot of the content still followed a specific look—filtered but “effortless,” curated but “authentic.” So while Tumblr helped redefine beauty, it also reinforced new versions of what was acceptable.
And that’s exactly the paradox of the 2014 Tumblr aesthetic itself. It was all about being different, but in a way that still fit a certain visual and emotional mold. The black-and-white photos of girls smoking in oversized sweaters, in wired earphones listening to Arctic Monkey, cryptic text posts about sadness—these weren’t just random; they became an entire brand. As Goldberg (2022) notes, Tumblr had a way of romanticizing self-destruction. It made heartbreak poetic. It turned depression into an aesthetic. It blurred the line between genuine self-expression and performance.
This whole push-and-pull dynamic also played out in the way people curated their identities online. As Byron et al., (2019, p. 2246) explain, even in supposedly free and unfiltered spaces like Tumblr, certain norms always emerge. People were crafting their own personas through carefully chosen images, quotes, and blog themes, but they were still following an unspoken rulebook.
Final thoughts
Today, Gen Z is attempting to reclaim that balance, by recreating Tumblr’s unpolished aesthetics on TikTok while navigating a vastly different digital landscape. In a way, this nostalgia is an act of rebellion against the hyper-curated, brand-saturated digital spaces we’ve grown used to. The irony, of course, is that Tumblr’s once-anonymous culture is now mediated through platforms that prioritize personal branding. Yet the fact that users are reviving this era suggests a persistent desire for a public sphere where self-expression isn’t dictated by corporate algorithms.

if tiktok gets banned in America, then I wonder if that will change the publishing industry 🤔 if the majority of people using booktok are white Amercans and that app goes...well, we have bookstagram I guess, but it's not as big or influential as booktok imo. I have mixed feelings about tiktok being banned as someone who doesn't use it (mainly worried for small businesses/people who work regular jobs trying to make more money via side hustles), but I'm not sure if something else will pop up in booktok's place, if this app is banned.
As someone who frequents YouTube shorts, I'm pretty sure that Booktube shorts would take over. It's plenty (though not as bad as Booktok) toxic, with all the same problems as Booktok but not as much influence.
I certainly don't want Tiktok banned in America (Australia's going through a whole social media age verification crisis) as you said above, anon. It's good for side hustles and for a little extra cash on the side, and even though I would be happy that Booktok would be gone, I still don't think it would be the right answer. I personally don't use Tiktok (though I have been on there to research Booktok) so it wouldn't effect me, but yeah, it really shouldn't be banned.
Unfortunately, now that Booktok has already been established, it's going to be damn near impossible to wipe out its legacy. I suspect that Booktube will be the replacement, and while it wouldn't as popular as Booktok, I do think a fair amount of Booktokkers would migrate from Tiktok to YouTube. And I certainly don't want YouTube to become more toxic than it already is.
As for the publishing industry, I don't think it'll change much. I mean, a fair bit of the tropey Booktok influence comes from fanfic on Wattpad, so as long as that thrives, I think that some form of Booktok will also. Additionally, the publishing industry already knows that going Booktok viral is a sure fire way to guarantee fame and fortune, and they won't go down without a fight (and even if they do, they'll find a way to pop back up).
I say all this as if it's reassuring, but it's not. Both are bad; Tiktok being bad and Booktok prevailing, and unfortunately, I don't think those are as mutually exclusive as we'd like to believe.
Thanks for the ask anon! I completely forgot to consider a Tiktok ban in my other rants, so this is a nice new perspective.

The term “whole genome sequencing” is problematic. It suggests that we have sequenced an entire genome from end to end. That is factually incorrect. In reality, the claimed genome has never been sequenced in a single read from start to end, and no method has ever produced a truly complete genome using a single approach.
1. The terminal regions of the genome are consistently missing. No existing algorithm has successfully reconstructed a genome in its entirety.
2. Even Sanger sequencing—often held up as the gold standard—has never yielded a complete genome with full raw data. Its assemblies also lack terminal sequences.
3. What is typically referred to as “the genome” is merely a candidate assembly, often derived from the longest contig (e.g., Wu et al., 2020). That assembly is not exactly reproducible from the raw data, and early genome versions even included confirmed human DNA.
4. The origin of many short reads is ambiguous due to unpurified samples that include human and bacterial material.
5. Tools like MEGAHIT use de Bruijn graph algorithms to assemble genomes from k-mers - substrings of sequencing reads. When applied to mixed samples, these tools can accidentally stitch together k-mers from different organisms, leading to chimeric assemblies that don’t even exist in nature.
6. Over 99% of “genomes” in public databases are not de novo assemblies but are instead aligned to the original Wuhan reference. Fewer than 1,000 genomes have ever been assembled de novo directly from patient samples.
7. Crucially, neither alignment nor assembly methods can mathematically verify that a sequence exists in nature. What we call a genome is, at best, a computational model—a hypothetical reconstruction of a pathogen.
8. Due to these limitations, the SARS-CoV-2 genome remains unvalidated. Proper validation steps - such as independent verification of the genome ends - have not been performed or at least publicly documented.
9. Proponents who defend the validity of the SARS-CoV-2 genome often point to the Human Genome as a “verified” benchmark. However, this is a fallacy. The Human Genome itself is not fully verified - it too is a composite model, stitched together from the DNA of multiple individuals, not from a single human or even a single human cell. As such, it is also incomplete and contains unresolved regions. This raises serious concerns about using the human genome as a reference to filter out ‘non-human’ reads, since the line between what is considered human and non-human in sequencing data remains ambiguous and questionable. After all, has any organism ever been fully recreated just from its claimed genome?
It’s also worth noting that some individuals actively dismiss or downplay these verifiable limitations, often while holding significant conflicts of interest. This should not be ignored!
In another part of her list (point 7), Clare claims that detecting viral material (via testing) in remote locations like Antarctica after long delays and without apparent transmission links supports the idea of rapid global spread.

The Derbyshire Mummified Fairy
In the early 2000s, the Derbyshire mummified fairy captivated public imagination. It shows the power of modern hoaxes and the allure of fabled creatures. This unusual tale took place in Derbyshire, England, noted for its undulating hills, historic woodlands, and rich folklore. London designer and prop maker Dan Baines' photos of a mummified fairy went viral in April 2007. The photos showed a hideous, desiccated humanoid creature with wings and sharp jaws. Baines said a Derbyshire dogwalker found the specimen, providing credibility. Reveal timing was intentional. Many enthusiastic believers disregarded Baines' choice to upload the photographs on April 1, April Fools' Day. The story went viral, attracting fairy fans, cryptozoologists, and curious observers. Within days, Baines' website had hundreds of thousands of international visitors eager to learn more about this incredible find.

Baines carefully described the fairy to lend credibility to the scam. The discovery puzzled anthropologists and forensic professionals who inspected the remains. They described an eight-inch creature with intact wings, teeth, and skin. Baines even indicated that X-rays showed a childlike skeleton with hollow bones like a bird. As the story gained popularity, it appealed to human cravings for magic and the unknown. Many viewers held the belief that fairies were indisputable. Some even claimed to have seen similar entities, feeding the Derbyshire fairy craze. Skeptics immediately pointed up contradictions and improbabilities in the story. The mummy's condition, its discovery's convenience, and the absence of scientific verification aroused concerns. Baines became embroiled in controversy as pressure for further evidence increased. Baines came clean about the fake a few days after the initial disclosure on April 5. He stated that the fairy was a complex prop he designed and sculpted. He constructed the body from wood and modeling putty, and fashioned the tiny wings from fish bones. Baines then added liquid latex to give the creation a dried, mummified look. Baines confessed, surprised at how rapidly and broadly the fraud spread. He said he wanted to remember the 1917 Cottingley Fairies hoax, in which two girls convinced the world they had photographed actual fairies. Baines' new variation on this classic hoax tested belief in the digital age. Despite the revelation of the reality, the Derbyshire fairy maintained its popularity. Many debated fairy existence, while others admired the prop's artistry. Baines sold the fairy on eBay for a lot after receiving many offers. The Derbyshire mummified fairy hoax is an intriguing example of folklore, art, and modern media. It shows how readily disinformation spreads online and the public's infatuation with the supernatural and unknown. The episode also highlights issues related to belief and skepticism in contemporary culture. It reveals how many people still believe in magic and mythical beings despite scientific progress. This desire for surprise and mystery can occasionally dominate critical thinking, leading to the rapid acceptance of remarkable claims without evidence. In the years after the prank, the Derbyshire fairy has entered modern legend. The analysis of online hoaxes, viral material, and the ongoing influence of fairy lore on modern culture is a common practice. The incident inspired artists and prop makers, demonstrating that creative works can reach global audiences. The Derbyshire mummified fairy story illustrates the delicate link between fact and fiction, belief and skepticism, in current times. It's a delightful yet cautionary tale that encourages us to question unusual claims while respecting our desire for enchantment and wonder.

You should be allowed to kill during the exam. Just 1 person
this is actually really funny cause it's reminding me of how the professor said she added a couple problems just because my friend kept asking her specific questions
and everyone turned to look at him and he was just like "...everyone gets one kick 😞" LMAOOOO
anyways the exam wasn't objectively terrible, it was lowkey my fault for letting my stardew fixation get in the way, but wow talk about a thorough ass test! the short response wanted a full flow chart of the process of RT-PCR (with enzymes and temperatures) and the long response wanted a full explanation of how i would synthesize a hormone (EPO) excreted from the human kidney that required glycosylation with thorough details on how each step and technique worked and why i picked them 😭😭😭
i actually got a perfect score on the short response and almost a perfect score on the long response but i was so unsure of how exactly cloning worked and didnt wanna say something false that i glossed over that which cost me 8/10 points for that part💔💔
since i really wanna talk abt this tho cause im lowkey proud of what i came up with:
since a human hormone is probably produced by a pretty large gene i'd want something bigger than a regular plasmid or bacteriophage. since i need proteins to be produced, a cosmid or ti vector are also off the table (because the viral capsid and plant cell wall would greatly interfere with extraction), and since i need a post-translational modification (glycosylation) performed i need a eukaryotic vector, eliminating bacterial artificial chromosomes (BACs), which leaves the best vector as a yeast artificial chromosome (YAC).
then, because i figured if any gene was gonna have alternative gene splicing it was gonna be the one for some fancy human hormone that regulates blood synthesis, i wanted to extract an mRNA transcript (if i'd just said i would isolate it from a pig kidney or smth i would've gotten more points😭😭😭) that i'd then synthesize cDNA for through RT PCR to eliminate any introns.
since that was like 90% of what i could guess was necessary without more information about EPO or yeast transformation, i kinda just picked random extraction, chromatography, and verification techniques for the rest of it. i said i'd assume that the yeast would excrete the protein like the kidney cells would, meaning i'd just extract the buffer, use some salts to dehydrate the buffer so the hydrophobic proteins would clump together, centrifuge it to make them collect into a pellet, use size-exclusionary chromatography to isolate the presumably-large EPOs from the other proteins, then use X ray crystallography to verify the protein extracted was indeed EPO. i really wanted to mention western blotting but i wasn't very sure of how i'd describe it beyond the double antibody thing (which i LOVE) so i didnt wanna risk it lol.
#sorry ive just been dying to describe what my technique was#i was sitting there writing this in class like 'yessss i am so clever >:)' LMAOOO#thank you for giving me the opportunity to rant lol#buzzing#buggie's nerd stuff#asks#anon

Consumer Behavior: Advertising through video content has a significant impact on consumer behavior, influencing buying decisions and popularizing trends.
4. Identity and Representation:
Representation of Diversity: Film and video provide platforms for representing diverse identities, including different races, genders, sexual orientations, and cultures. Positive representation can foster inclusivity and self-acceptance, while negative or stereotypical portrayals can perpetuate prejudice.

5. Education and Information:
Educational Content: Films and videos are widely used as educational tools, providing accessible and engaging ways to learn about history, science, and other subjects. Visual storytelling can enhance understanding and retention of information.

8. Economic Impact:
Entertainment Industry: The film and video industry is a significant economic driver, creating jobs and generating revenue globally. It also influences tourism, fashion, and other industries.
Piracy and Intellectual Property: The digital distribution of films and videos has also led to challenges with piracy, affecting the economic model of the entertainment industry.
9. Psychological and Emotional Impact:
Emotional Engagement: Films and videos have the power to evoke strong emotional responses, from joy and laughter to fear and sadness. This emotional engagement can have therapeutic effects or, conversely, contribute to emotional desensitization.
Escapism and Coping Mechanism: For many, watching films or videos serves as a form of escapism, providing a temporary reprieve from the stresses of everyday life and offering a means of coping with personal challenges.
10. Ethical and Moral Reflection:
Moral Dilemmas: Films often explore complex moral dilemmas, prompting viewers to reflect on their values and beliefs. This can lead to greater empathy and ethical consideration in real-life situations.
Impact on Violence and Behavior: The portrayal of violence in films and videos has sparked debates about its potential influence on behavior, particularly among young audiences, leading to discussions about censorship and responsible media consumption.
Film and video have transformed society by shaping culture, influencing behavior, driving technological innovation, and providing new ways to communicate and express ideas. While they offer significant benefits in education, entertainment, and social awareness, they also pose challenges related to representation, misinformation, and ethical considerations. As these mediums continue to evolve, their impact on society will likely grow, further intertwining with our daily lives and collective consciousness.

Home PCR Tests: A Closer Look at the PCR Test At Home Dubai Option
The COVID-19 pandemic sparked major growth in the development and usage of diagnostic and antibody tests that patients can self-administer from home. Home PCR tests in particular enable private, convenient detection of active coronavirus infections. For those wondering whether accurate PCR Test At Home Dubai kits are available, exploring the leading options provides helpful guidance.

How Do Home PCR Tests for COVID-19 Work?
The PCR (polymerase chain reaction) technique is the gold standard for directly detecting the presence of the COVID-19 virus from respiratory samples. Home PCR test kits allow patients to collect their own nasal or saliva samples and perform the PCR assay without visiting a clinic.
PCR tests work by identifying the specific genetic material of the COVID-19 virus. Users collect a sample, mix it with chemical reagents, and insert the solution into the test kit for analysis. Results are displayed indicating whether viral genetic material was detected based on any color change reaction on the test strips.
Kits include step-by-step instructions to ensure patients perform the easy, quick tests properly using non-invasive nasal swabs or saliva collection. Many provide results within 10-30 minutes.
Here is a video from MedCram Youtube Channel about At Home Rapid COVID 19 Tests and False Positives (Coronavirus Antigen Tests). Watch the video
youtube
Benefits of At-Home PCR Testing
Here are some of the major advantages of having access to accurate home PCR tests for COVID-19:
Convenience: Test from the privacy of your residence without traveling to clinics.
Speed: Get results rapidly within minutes rather than waiting days for lab tests.
Self-Administered: Users can collect their own sample comfortably rather than relying on technicians.
Affordability: Individual kits are very competitively priced.
Detection Reliability: PCR technology directly identifies viral presence with high accuracy.
Ease of Use: Tests have simple, straightforward instructions for patients of all ages.
Infection Verification: Confirms active infections unlike antibody tests.
Having the option to privately, quickly, and accurately test for possible COVID-19 infections at home provides significant peace of mind during the pandemic.
How Reliable Are Home PCR Tests?
Many people reasonably wonder whether DIY home PCR test kits can match the reliability of lab-based PCR tests. The good news is that leading home PCR kits on the market have very high accuracy.
Most kits have published sensitivity and specificity above 90% when compared to lab PCR tests. High quality home tests analyze samples using comparable PCR methodology and match labs in detecting positives and negatives.
Furthermore, unlike Rapid PCR Test At Home kits some vendors offer, full home PCR tests analyze the sample through many amplification cycles to maximize accuracy. With good sampling collection, top home PCR kits offer laboratory-grade results conveniently at home.
Leading Home PCR Test Kit Options
For those exploring PCR Test At Home Dubai choices, here are some of the top-rated home PCR kits to consider:
Cue Health PCR Test: Cue offers an FDA-authorized home PCR test delivering highly accurate results in 20 minutes with nasal swab samples.
Lucira Check It PCR Test: This is a single-use PCR kit with 98% validated accuracy that provides molecular-level detection from nasal samples in 30 minutes or less.
Ellume COVID-19 Home Test: This over-the-counter home kit uses a mid-turbinate nasal sample and provides an amplified PCR digital reading of positive or negative in 15 minutes on a connected analyzer.
Pixel by LabCorp PCR Test: Pixel is a monitored at-home nasal PCR test analyzed through LabCorp with over 98% accuracy returning results within 1-2 days.
Doximity's Covid-19 PCR Test: Doximity partners with qualified labs for monitored video-observed PCR testing with 97%+ accuracy and results in 24 hours.
All these options allow for convenient, accurate at-home COVID-19 testing using PCR with trusted partners. Kits can be purchased online and shipped directly to your home in Dubai.
When Are Home PCR Tests Recommended?
The CDC recommends utilizing home PCR tests in situations such as:
If you have any symptoms of COVID-19. Home testing allows quick confirmation.
After exposure events to quickly check for possible infection.
Before visiting individuals at higher risk for severe illness.
Before travel or group events for added assurance.
For frequent screening in schools or workplaces.
Even fully vaccinated individuals should test if they experience COVID-like symptoms or have a known exposure. Home PCR tests make quick detection fast and easy.
Home PCR Tests Offer Accuracy and Convenience
High quality Home PCR Tests have become an important tool in the fight against COVID by making reliable diagnostic testing accessible outside of clinics. There are excellent PCR Test At Home Dubai options available matching the standards of lab PCR sensitivity and specificity. Home PCR kits allow people to conveniently and confidently check themselves for possible COVID-19 infections from the privacy of home. As the technology continues advancing, home collection PCR will likely take on an increasingly vital role supporting public health and safety.

are people really using the lying hallucinating machine to: -weigh in on decisions about what is and isn't humanly edible -give coherent and true summaries of literally anything -GIVE YOU ANSWERS TO ANY SERIOUS QUESTIONS?? -FOLLOW BASIC MATHEMATICAL PRINCIPLES OF REALITY EFFECTIVELY???
take it from the person who loves writing about robots: chatGPT is fucking dumb. it works based on repetition, SEO, memetics, and feedback, none of which promote accuracy. it is the worst way to search any info you could possibly want. not only does it lie and just make shit up to make you happy, it bases those lies on aggregate sources that are boosted not by any method of actual verification, but by SEO.
what's SEO? well that's Search Engine Optimization, baby. strap in we're gonna do an example.
think about tumblr bots, alright? now, why do we block a tumblr bot? because they're annoying? no, we block them because they use their like-spamming to add search engine legitimacy to their scammy links in their bios. essentially, because of the way tumblr links to every user that ever likes or reblogs or interacts with a post on every post's individual linked page, every single one of those links is telling google's search engine that THIS scammer's page is totally legit. this boosts its algorithmic potential and makes it so that it appears higher up on search results than its scammy competitors.
but andy, you think, why are you going into a description of tumblr bots? well, reader, it's because this same principle also applies to viral posts. and what goes viral on tumblr? really funny trolling, lies, and people being generally obtuse and digging their own graves. tumblr is the town square and our algorithm is each other's interest; we delight in pointing at the latest pair of squeaky clown shoes being worn, and will drag the wearer out for everyone to see.
this. is bad. when you are an AI 'search' tool based on repetition, memetics, and SEO. because you were never taught to separate 'viral' from 'real'.
a search tool based on virality will tell you to eat a tide pod because they're a secret kind of candy. a search tool based on virality will tell you poinsettias and lilies are great to keep around your cats, and that you should put garlic in their food. a search tool based on virality will tell you that the best way to figure out whether bread is done is to stick your dick in it.
(it should go without saying but i'm going to say it anyway: DO NOT DO THESE THINGS BY THE WAY. YOU WILL DIE AND BE IN HORRIBLE PAIN AND SO WILL YOUR CAT.)
remember this rule, kids, and remember it well: a lie will go around the world twice while the truth is still getting its pants on. while it's fun to dunk and debunk, dunking and debunking doesn't reach the same eyeballs as the original thought, and by the time you're done you have five new ones to dunk on and debunk. and AI 'search' tools will never be able to distinguish the truth from the lie by design.
because here's the nastiest part of all: AI 'search' tools' results are then fed by the way people engage with the results. If the insane result goes viral, it doesn't get corrected, it gets reinforced. engagement, ragebait, corrections, all of these don't bring attention to a problem, they tell the AI it's done a good job making something that people engage with, and it will keep right on lying.
you can't if-then your way out of every lie it spits out because it's like trying to keep a lawnmower from making grass cuttings one blade of grass at a time. it's what it's designed to do. it's baked into the concept because people didn't think that their fun new toy needed to be able to tell the truth, and didn't realize what that would mean when it was asked serious questions. they just wanted it to earn more clicks, more eyes, more engagement, so that they could use that to farm more data that they can sell.
when you can't see what product being sold is, you are the product.
AI 'search' tools are genuinely dangerous, genuinely harmful to discourse, and genuinely something you should be critical of. even beyond their environmental impacts, intellectual property violations, worker's rights violations, this shit is bad, and its cousins in image and longer form text generation are worse.
we cannot allow our critical thinking skills to be eroded by these things. fight them. fight them at every turn. do not allow them into your spaces and do not allow them into your life. complacency is how they get their foot in the door to normalization, and normalization of this kind of shit is another nail in the world's coffin. i'm not kidding. it should be enough for you people that it's a theft-based hallucinatory lie machine but apparently it's not so here we are.
thank you for reading. now if you'll all excuse me, i'm going to go chug something caffeinated and deep-clean the microwave

#no one cares andy#we can't yet measure the long-term impacts of generative AI on our collective psyche#any more than we can measure the long-term impacts of algorithmic content feeds that swiftly lead to right wing rabbit holes#but we can at least mitigate some of the potential damage to society#we can tailor our ways of thinking to ask ourselves who these things benefit and why whenever we're presented with new info#who does believing this hinder? who does it hurt? who does it help? does believing this take me somewhere i really need to be?#it's not a whole philosophy of course#just a starting point#but sometimes a starting point is what we need to get ourselves moving towards achieving a better world#also i'm not a 'think of the kids' person but this is going to have a developmental impact that we won't see for years#and it will affect those who are the least privileged the worst#because they don't have the time to expend with critical thought and this will seem like a cheap useful tool#it's the deregulated rat poop sawdust instamash of discourse but it's what they have the mental budget to afford right now#which isn't entirely their fault btw it's capitalism doing its thing and doing it on purpose#alright i'm done rambling have a good day y'all

What Are Generative AI Hallucinations and Why Do They Happen?
Generative AI hallucinations refer to instances where AI models like ChatGPT or other large language models produce outputs that sound plausible but are factually incorrect or entirely fabricated. These hallucinations can range from subtle factual errors to completely made-up information, often delivered with high confidence, making them harder to detect.
There are many AI hallucination examples across different domains—ranging from medical misinformation to false historical data. In some cases, the results can be oddly humorous or bizarre, leading to a growing list of funny AI hallucination examples that go viral online. These moments, while entertaining, also highlight the risks of relying solely on AI-generated content without verification.
One well-known source of these issues is ChatGPT hallucination examples, where users have documented instances of the AI creating fake research papers, citing non-existent studies, or generating imaginary quotes. These cases show how generative models can sometimes prioritize language fluency over factual accuracy.
So, what causes AI hallucinations? They stem from how these models are trained—on massive datasets from the internet, which may include inaccuracies. The AI doesn't truly understand context or truth; it predicts text based on patterns. As a result, it may invent answers that "look right" but are actually wrong. Understanding these limitations is key to using generative AI responsibly and effectively.

The Rise of a New Digital Icon: Troller Cat and the Meme Coin Revolution
In the ever-evolving world of cryptocurrencies, the digital landscape has been shaped not only by utility-based tokens but also by the growing dominance of meme coins. One project that has recently caught the attention of the crypto community is troller cat, a deflationary meme coin with a unique twist. Unlike many other meme-inspired tokens that rely heavily on hype alone, Troller Cat introduces a more structured, community-focused model that combines entertainment, reward, and long-term sustainability.
At its core, Troller Cat ($TCAT) operates on the Ethereum blockchain, which has been a go-to platform for countless innovative crypto projects. However, what distinguishes this project is its integration of a deflationary tokenomics model, which includes a buyback and burn mechanism. This approach is powered by revenue generated through its Play-to-Earn Game Center. A portion of the ad revenue is allocated to monthly token buybacks, permanently removing $TCAT from circulation. This systematic reduction in supply naturally contributes to scarcity, enhancing the potential value of each token over time.
What makes trollercat particularly appealing to a broad audience is its strong emphasis on community participation. Unlike top-down corporate tokens, Troller Cat is driven by its users, who actively contribute to its growth and stability. The project encourages engagement through various features such as staking, referrals, and gameplay incentives. By tying token utility to user activity, the ecosystem stays active and evolves alongside its community. The trollercat platform is designed to support ongoing user participation with meaningful rewards.
The staking model implemented by Troller Cat also reflects a thoughtful strategy to incentivize holders. During the public sale phase, users have the option to stake their tokens at an impressive 69% APY, with rewards distributed daily. Importantly, staking rewards are locked for two months post-launch, which not only discourages early dumping but also supports price stability. Flexibility is maintained, however, as users can choose to stake and unstake whenever they want, making the system both attractive and accessible.
Another layer of utility and marketing built into the project is its referral system. During the public sale, users can earn additional $TCAT tokens when others buy using their unique referral code. Once a code is linked to a wallet, it remains permanently attached, ensuring transparency and seamless reward distribution. This system creates a viral growth engine that incentivizes community members to bring new participants into the ecosystem, broadening the token’s reach without the need for traditional advertising budgets.
Security has also been a cornerstone in the development of Troller Cat. In an industry plagued by rug pulls and scams, the team behind $TCAT has taken concrete steps to establish trust. Multiple audits and Know Your Customer (KYC) verification were conducted before launch to give users peace of mind. These actions are vital, especially for a project aspiring to transcend the often speculative nature of meme tokens and build a legitimate and lasting digital economy.
The allocation of the total token supply further reflects the long-term vision of the project. Forty percent of $TCAT is designated for public sale, ensuring broad community ownership. Meanwhile, 7.5% is locked in liquidity for two years, adding another layer of security and market stability. Additionally, 22.5% of the supply is earmarked for staking rewards, which are vested for two months post-launch to prevent immediate sell-offs. Another 21% is allocated to the Game Center, ensuring that gameplay remains rewarding and economically viable for active participants.
One of the most intriguing aspects of this project is how it redefines what a meme coin can be. Traditionally, meme coins have been associated with high volatility and minimal real-world utility. However, Troller Cat aims to shift this perception by offering a fully functional Play-to-Earn Game Center, powered by ad revenue and user engagement. In this model, memes are not just funny internet images—they are central to an ecosystem that rewards time, attention, and participation. It’s this intersection of entertainment and economics that positions Troller Cat as more than just another coin riding the meme wave. It’s building a foundational layer for a fun yet sustainable digital community. Learn more about this meme coin and its unique model.
