SAME. I instantly loved Sam (for the same reason a lot of people do) because she defends Nathan. Has he done wrong? Yes. But it’s so nice to see someone see through his walls and understand why he is so messed up. I ship Vic/Nathan and I wanted to ship Sam/Nathan in ep1 but was skeptical on how she knew him.

NOW NO ONE CAN BLAME ME (although I’m game for brotp, too). The fact that he legit does well at the play, her pep talk and support helping heal him? Yeah. My heart is hurting and soaring at the same time.

Rehearsals and work on the Tempest had gone as smoothly. Rachel pitched in her 2 cents, gotten her scenes re-blocked, and proved she knew her lines better than Hayden. Everything as usual.

She was nearly headed home when she remembered she’d left something back in the locker rooms during gym that day, so she headed there to grab it.

But that was before she thought she heard someone in here.

Rachel keeps to the edge of the locker room, expecting to find one of the sports girls or a custodian.

                ------ SHIT.  in truth, there were worse people to have to work with than victoria chase.  if anything, there was no way victoria would let anything come between her and being top of the class, so there was no chance of her trying to sabotage their portrait projects, but max would prefer if victoria’s smack talk could remain behind her back rather than to her face.  ignorance is bliss.

                reluctantly, she shuffles toward her partner, bracing herself for whatever selfie comment victoria might have planned.  “hey... victoria,” she greets, hand curled around the strap of her bag like a lifeline.  “i’ve got photo lab tomorrow after lunch, unless you want to meet up after class later.”

       warren stands outside the girls’ dorms with his hands tucked down into his pockets. even standing alone he looks nervous--- feet constantly shifting, head moving around to look at everything around him instead of focusing on something, teeth catching the inside of his mouth--- and he seems to fidget by occasionally bringing his phone out of his pocket, poking at it some, and putting it back.

       when the door opens to the dorms he turns his gaze in the direction of the sound and offers a smile as he sees victoria. both hands are removed from his pockets, one waving at her and one rubbing itself across the back of his neck. “---hey.”

highkey helga on the couch was the most tragic fucking shit i’ve ever seen and i don’t think i’ve ever cried so much at a goddamn 90s cartoon like they did it so well and it just???? made me feel a lot???? wow

okay but what a groundbreaking piece of television that no one talks about !!! showing a child going to therapy and having it be a positive, healthy experience, completely de-stigmatizing the idea and allowing a character to work through her emotions. they did that. on a nickelodeon show. for kids.

      her sarcasm doesn’t go unnoticed, and only the slightest inclination of his head betrays any reaction at all.  girls like Victoria Chase don’t get hurt  --  not outwardly, anyway, not in any capacity that’s visible to others’ prying eyes, hungry for any slight display of emotion that can be misconstrued as weakness.  he knows this inner fight  ( a losing battle )  all too well from his days as an orphaned youth, forced into maturity far beyond his years.  he knows how she feels.        Bruce doesn’t make a show or accuse her of lying, doesn’t need the inevitable verbal backlash that would accompany it.  instead, he merely extends a hand, though he doesn’t expect her to take it.         ❛ come on.  let’s get that cleaned up. ❜

       “yeah, probably.” it’s always been a problem for him, though, giving up hope. it’s why he still thinks, sometimes, maybe there is a god, and that some of the stuff in that book is real. other times, when he thinks about the literal blood on his hands and the things he’s done, he thinks it can’t possibly be true. but then where would the souls go? 

       he can see the defeat on her face as she looks him over and realizes she can’t tell him no. he grins, just a little, and he thanks the god he’s not sure he believes in for his pretty, freckled face. if that’s all that convinced her to stay, he’s grateful for it.

       “oh, yeah, sure you do--- get over here and watch this with me.”
