Hello! I really loved misperception and I saw that you take requests. Can I please please get some of Tommy and Ryan talking about the dj situationship? 🥺
Thank you so much!!!
The fic in question!
Not sure if this is exactly what you wanted, but here we are!
A lime green Lamborghini Aventador purrs into the parking lot. Tommy’s not sure which specific model it is, but it looks like a roadster. It’s… exquisite. The wrap job has an iridescence to it and the windows are tinted illegally dark. Tommy hops out of his truck and shamelessly snaps a few pictures as it rolls to a stop diagonally across two parking spaces. People who drive cars like this do it for attention, he’s not going to apologize for giving it to them. Damn.
He wonders why the hell there’s a fucking Lamborghini at Harbor, and then decides it probably doesn’t matter. LA is filled with people that drive exotic cars into benign places for no reason other than they have the money for it. Tommy changes his mind almost immediately however, when the passenger door opens and Ryan unfolds himself out of the car.
Tommy whistles.
“Nice ride, kid,” He calls out, walking over.
Ryan looks embarrassed but pleased, and wiggles his fingers in Tommy’s direction just as the engine shuts off. Someone Tommy doesn’t recognize gets out of the driver’s side. He’s blond, wearing a large pair of mirrored sunglasses and a too tight t-shirt with a logo splashed across the front.
“Hi Tommy,” Ryan says, “This is my… friend. Karl. Karl this is Tommy, my co-worker I was telling you about.”
Oh. Ryan’s DJ. If Tommy had bothered to envision how Karl might look, it’d be exactly this. Standoffish and ostentatiously wealthy. Tommy hasn’t heard much about Karl that he likes, but there’s no reason to be rude.
“Nice to meet you,” Tommy says politely, reaching out to shake Karl’s hand.
“Likewise,” Karl says, as he shakes Tommy’s hand firmly, “Ryan says you’re working with him during his probationary period.”
Karl’s veneers are unnervingly bright and white, and he speaks in a low and slightly accented voice.
“Yeah. Ryan’s great, we’re lucky to have him.” Tommy says, before giving into his curiosity and turning to look at the gleaming car next to them, “Nice car man.”
“Thank you,” Karl says, before adding unnecessarily, “It’s a Lamborghini.”
“An Aventador,” Tommy replies smoothly, nodding as he blatantly stares, “What year? 2017? 2016?”
Karl’s smile falters for a split second.
“2016,” He says after a beat.
Between them Ryan purses his lips.
“Whoever did the wrap did a good job,” Tommy says, “Was this done at a local shop?”
Tommy generally prefers a coat of paint over a wrap when it comes to his own project cars, but he can’t deny excellent work when he sees it.
“…No.” Karl says simply, before turning his attention to Ryan, “I’ll see you later darling, have a nice day at work.”
“It was nice to meet you,” Tommy says, respectfully turning away and starting to walk towards the front door.
Whenever he and Evan say goodbye it tends to involve a lot of tongue, even when they’re taking each other to work. Sometimes especially when they’re taking each other to work. Once Tommy had dropped Evan off at the 118, and after the fact Hen had sent him a text informing him that they’d sucked face for five solid minutes before Evan had gone inside.
It's because of this that Tommy is shocked when Ryan is shoulder to shoulder with him a few seconds later.
“So, your ‘friend’ is back in town?” Tommy asks, as they head towards the hangar, “For how long?”
“At least a month,” Ryan says with a smug smile, “He was in Europe for a while.”
“Festival summer,” Tommy nods, “Good for him.”
Behind them the car’s engine revs loudly. Tommy can’t resist turning around to watch as Karl peels out of the parking lot, leaving a wide skidmark on the asphalt. He’s driving way too fast.
“Did you tell him about the speed trap the cops like to set up a few miles down the road?” Tommy asks curiously.
“No,” Ryan says shortly, “He was late getting up this morning, and didn’t take me through Dutch Bros like he promised.”
The intricacies of their relationship, and frankly the appeal of it, is completely beyond Tommy. Karl isn’t even that good looking, and from what Ryan says, he’s also extremely petty. As if reading Tommy’s mind, Ryan continues talking.
“He has his charms,” Ryan says haughtily.
“You two going shopping later?” Tommy asks dryly.
Ryan laughs, long and loud, and then nods excitedly.
“I am going to get a new watch this weekend.”

Hello, don't know if you've already talked about this, but i would love to know which couples in BL you think have the best chemistry!! Not strictly referring to fixed actor-pairs, but i would love to watch a show where the couple has palpable tension!!
Thank you in advance if you decide to answer~
Hi Boo !
Let’s see, here is a top 3 of shows where the chemistry between the actors drove me coocoo for coco puffs.
Addicted Heroin.(2016) China. Banned classic with OG tropes (watch with caution) and excellent acting. This pair could just stand in the same room and the windows would fog.
Love Mechanics (2022). Thailand. It’s not the best show you’ll watch but Yinwar fam. They have that golden chemistry that keeps them on top of the game while feeding us crumbs. (We might get fed this year.Maybe lol)
The Eclipse (2022) Thailand. The show that gave us Firstkhao as a branded pair. The show is dark and complicated but that good good enemy-to-lover heat ? Unmatched. (Their Our skyy was delicious)

Sea-Gull Rattrapante: China's first-ever split-seconds chronograph
The rattrapante, a rare and intricate watch complication, has long been revered in the world of horology for its ingenuity and craftsmanship. Historically reserved for the elite, this split-second chronograph function has been synonymous with luxury and precision. Now, Seagull Watches has redefined the landscape with the introduction of the Seagull Rattrapante Split Second Chronograph, offering a high-quality rattrapante at an unprecedented price point. Let’s explore what makes this release a game-changer in the world of mechanical watches.
What Is a Rattrapante?
The term "rattrapante" derives from the French word meaning "to catch up." Also known as a split-second chronograph or double chronograph, this complication includes an additional seconds hand superimposed over the primary chronograph seconds hand. When the chronograph is activated, both hands move together. However, with a press of an additional pusher, the secondary hand stops, allowing the user to measure split times or intervals. Pressing the pusher again lets the secondary hand "catch up" with the primary hand, resuming synchronized movement.
This functionality is ideal for timing multiple laps in a race or comparing events that start simultaneously but end at different times. The intricate mechanics required to achieve this precision make the rattrapante one of the most challenging complications to produce.
A Glimpse into Rattrapante History
The rattrapante’s origins trace back to the 19th century, with Swiss watchmaker Adolphe Nicole credited for its invention. In 1922, Patek Philippe introduced the first rattrapante chronograph wristwatch, a milestone that cemented the complication’s prestige. Over the decades, rattrapante watches have become highly coveted collector’s items, fetching astronomical prices at auctions. For example:
In 1999, a Patek Philippe rattrapante sold for $1.9 million.
In 2016, a Rolex 4113 split-second chronograph broke records at $2.3 million, becoming the most expensive Rolex ever sold.
Such prices reflect the exceptional craftsmanship and exclusivity of this complication—a hallmark of horological mastery.
The Seagull Revolution: Making the Rattrapante Accessible
While traditional luxury brands like Patek Philippe and A. Lange & Söhne continue to dominate the high-end market, Seagull Watches has democratized the rattrapante with its Seagull Rattrapante Split Second Chronograph. Powered by the newly developed ST1961 manual-winding movement, this watch is designed to offer enthusiasts an affordable entry into the world of split-second chronographs.
Tumblr media
Key Features of the Seagull Rattrapante Split Second Chronograph:
Cost-Effectiveness: Priced at just $3,499, this timepiece is the most affordable rattrapante chronograph available, making it accessible to a wider audience.
Mechanical Excellence: The ST1961 movement exemplifies Seagull’s dedication to precision engineering and meticulous craftsmanship.
User-Friendly Design: A secondary pusher at the 10 o’clock position allows easy control of the split-second hand, making the functionality intuitive and practical.
Transparent Case Back: The intricate mechanics of the ST1961 movement are on full display, providing enthusiasts with a window into the artistry behind the complication.
Versatile Aesthetic: Its classic design ensures it transitions seamlessly from professional settings to casual outings, appealing to a broad spectrum of watch lovers.
Tumblr media
Why the Seagull ST1961 Movement Stands Out
The ST1961 is a new chapter in the evolution of rattrapante movements. Historically, the complexity of split-second chronographs has required extensive expertise, limiting production to only a few elite manufacturers. With the ST1961, Seagull has achieved the impossible: delivering a reliable and precise manual-winding rattrapante movement at a fraction of traditional costs. This achievement solidifies Seagull’s reputation as an innovator in the horological world.
Tumblr media
Advantages of the ST1961 Movement:
Affordability: Redefining value in high-end complications.
Craftsmanship: Each movement is crafted with precision, reflecting Seagull’s commitment to quality.
Accessibility: Bringing a traditionally exclusive complication to a broader market.
Tumblr media
A New Era for Rattrapante Watches
The introduction of the Seagull Rattrapante Split Second Chronograph marks a turning point in horology. While legacy brands like Patek Philippe and IWC continue to dominate the upper echelons of watchmaking, Seagull’s innovation bridges the gap between exclusivity and accessibility.
Tumblr media
If you’ve ever dreamed of owning a rattrapante watch but found the prices prohibitive, the Seagull Rattrapante Split Second Chronograph offers a compelling opportunity to experience this marvel of mechanical ingenuity. Combining heritage, innovation, and affordability, it’s a testament to Seagull’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in watchmaking.
The Seagull Rattrapante Split Second Chronograph is a rare and intricate timepiece that brings the renowned rattrapante complication within reach of a broader audience. Revered in the world of horology for its ingenuity and craftsmanship, the rattrapante function—historically reserved for the elite—has always been a symbol of luxury and precision. Now, Seagull is redefining the landscape with the most affordable rattrapante chronograph, priced at just $3,499. Powered by the newly developed ST1961 movement, this timepiece showcases exceptional craftsmanship and precision, reflecting Seagull’s commitment to quality. With only 500 pieces globally, it is a must-have for collectors and enthusiasts alike. Don’t miss the chance to own a piece of horological history.

beep boop post election thots
Walking to work this morning was fine. Everything felt empty but I wasn't physically upset, just whatever. Get up to work, fine.
Go down to our company's annual benefits fair to set up the table for our LGBTQ+ employee resource group, of which I'm a co-leader. I'm setting up the flags and the stickers and our one-pager describing the group's mission and events.
I'm scheduled to man the table for the first two hours. I make it about twenty minutes before I feel the tears start to come up my throat. A couple people have stopped by but I realize I can't say a single thing that isn't "we're fucked! DEI initiatives, this specific ERG, protections for this specific community, all gone!" so instead I mumbled thru a few "well we just put out our quarterly newsletter and are putting together an event in December featuring a panel of queer people in finance" before they take a sticker and walk along. A couple guys say hi to me but don't stop at the table. I work in finance and realize a lot of the employees that will come through here today likely voted against my rights as a queer woman and were thrilled by last night's results.
I excuse myself and go out to the hall, messaging my co-leader that I need him to come down early or else I'm abandoning the table. I can't do it. I watch over the balcony to the lobby waiting for him to come in and up the escalator. A fellow boston gay, he is very much an enthusiastic people person who loves getting people involved with our group. I grab my stuff, tell him "I just can't, I'm sorry" and rush back upstairs, shut the door to my office and cry.
I live in Massachusetts, I'm safe in most scenarios. But there are people across the country who are not safe. Will immigrants be the first minority group attacked on January 21? How many executive orders will he make before the end of the month? many of his policy plans will require congressional approval (which he has if it's all red) and will be challenged in court (many of which are filled with his appointees).
Today felt different from 2016. Back then, we didn't know exactly what we were getting into. Then, immediately, EOs out the wazoo, most notably that early was the ban on travelers coming from Muslim-majority countries. We all went to the airports. There was a resulting Uber boycott because of it. and then it cascaded like a waterfall of hatred until we got to the pandemic and everything was truly out the window.
Today we have eight years of experience telling us what he is capable of doing. Stephen Miller is gleefully writing up policies as we speak. It's scary. Clarence Thomas will definitely retire on day one and be replaced by a heritage foundation prized pig in his late-forties. Trump is leaving office with a 7-2 conservative court, guaranteed.
Millions of people outside the US will suffer (or continue to suffer) from military and economic policies meant specifically for these people to suffer. Millions of people facing any number of reproductive problems (big ones like laws killing pregnant people for the sake of the fetus, small ones like making birth control inaccessible) are going to have to make plans - travel plans, contraceptive plans (tho many states passed pro-abortion referendums/rejected antis which is excellent news!!). Millions of kids will suffer due to lack of choice when they were just a fetus, due to gutting of the social safety net that the kids and their overwhelmed parents rely on, due to drastic or catastrophic changes to our education system making them less aware of the world and its history, less aware of what those new and awkward feelings they're feeling are and how to address them in a safe space, and most importantly, will not know how to read. Kids will also suffer under the anti-vaccine mandates. Kids will suffer when gender identity and sexual orientation are removed from any space they may be in, so they'll be suffering in silence because of fear and lack of access to necessary healthcare and community.
This isn't even the half of it. Immigrants, regardless of status. Homeless or housing insecure people. Chronically ill people. Black people facing new and old forms of violent discrimination. Trans adults who need ongoing gender affirming care just to live. These people and so many others are going to suffer.
The election is over, I don't care about going over every possible reason why she lost. She lost. She lost the popular vote ffs.
I am heartbroken for my fellow americans and all of the non-americans who will be hit the hardest by trump's revenge tour.
And more personally ,
After election night in 2016, I drank a lot. I didn't do my dishes and eventually just threw them all away. I got in severe credit card debt. I was doing any drug offered by a friend at a party or an employee at a bar who kept a stash behind the cleaning supplies under the bathroom sink. I was also starting to hate my job. All of this compounded by my depression going untreated and growing worse with the seasons changing.
Today, I am six years sober. I dabble in marijuana edibles to mellow out. The credit card debt situation has..... evolved. I'm in therapy. Im six years into a medication regime that has saved my life. I love my job. I've grown up a lot over the past eight years but my reaction to this much impending doom is still hard to cull together professionally.
jfc I didn't even mention gun control, or fossil fuels, or corporate taxes, or tariffs!!! or the flying cars thing or the elon musk of it all.
I am trying to stay on the wagon by playing disney dreamlight valley on my lil switch, baking treats for my coworkers, redecorating my book shelves for the fall season, and saving up some money to help with gofundmes and mutual aid projects that will become vital soon.
also MA voters rejected the legalization of psychedelics for medical use so that's no longer an option!!!
If u made it this far, you didn't have to, this was more of a diary entry than a thoughtful blog post. If u made it this far, I love you and hope you're getting on okay so far.

And that's your door contact working again...
Regular maintenance checks are indeed crucial to ensure that your alarm system functions properly and provides the necessary security and protection for you and your family.
Just like any other technology, alarm systems can experience wear and tear over time, and periodic inspections help identify any issues or potential vulnerabilities.
Here are some key points to consider when it comes to maintaining your alarm system:
Yearly Maintenance: yearly maintenance checks are essential.
These checks should be performed by a professional technician who can thoroughly inspect all components of the system.
We will verify that sensors, contacts, control panels, and communication devices are working correctly.
Testing Sensors and Contacts: During maintenance, we will test each sensor and contact.
This includes door/window contacts, motion detectors, glass break sensors, and smoke detectors.
We will ensure that these devices trigger alarms appropriately and that their batteries are functioning.
Battery Replacement: Speaking of batteries, regular maintenance is an excellent time to replace batteries in all devices that require them.
This includes backup batteries for the control panel, as well as individual device batteries.
A dead battery can render a sensor useless, so proactive replacement is essential.
Software and Firmware Updates: Alarm systems often have control panels with software or firmware.
These updates may enhance security features, improve performance, or address known vulnerabilities.
We will check for available updates and apply them if necessary.
Communication Tests: Alarm systems communicate with monitoring centers or directly with your smartphone
We will test communication pathways to ensure that alerts are transmitted correctly.
This includes checking cellular connections, Wi-Fi, and landline connections (if applicable).
Visual Inspection: Beyond testing, we will visually inspect all components.
We will look for signs of physical damage, loose wires, or tampering.
Any issues found can be addressed promptly.
User Training: Maintenance visits are also an opportunity for the us to provide user training.
We can review how to arm and disarm the system, set up user codes, and troubleshoot common issues.
Proper user knowledge ensures that everyone in the household knows how to use the system effectively.
Remember that a well-maintained alarm system not only protects your property but also provides peace of mind.
If you ever encounter any issues or suspect a problem, don’t hesitate to schedule a maintenance visit promptly.

Rear Window (1954)
Tumblr media
Over and over, I expect to be let down by these classic films. I figure they've been parodied and emulated so many times their impact will be lessened. I’ve seen Disturbia. That means I've seen Rear Window, right? Wrong. Once again, a film by Alfred Hitchcock has earned its reputation.
Photographer L. B. “Jeff” Jefferies (James Stewart) is confined to a wheelchair, having broken his leg while photographing a racetrack accident. To pass the time during the summer’s blistering heat, he peers through his binoculars. That's when he notices strange behavior in an apartment owned by a traveling jewelry salesman (Raymond Burr) and his bedridden wife. Convinced something sinister is afoot, Jeff asks his longtime girlfriend Lisa (Grace Kelly) to help investigate.
I hear people comparing books to movies so often I’m sick of it. They're two different mediums and each excels at telling certain types of stories. “Rear Window” is so perfect on-screen I can’t imagine it being told any other way. It’s more than a movie, it’s an experience. As Jeff sits in his chair, piecing together what's happening, he becomes an avatar for you. Like him, you have no control over what you see and can’t act upon any of it. All you can do is sit back and try to unravel the mystery; a deliciously intricate puzzle that contains many *gasps!*. Sure the clues LOOK like they tell a story, but it could easily be a misunderstanding. It’s all circumstantial so you can't predict what's coming next. Plus there’s the blistering heat and the fact that our protagonist is imperfect. Jeff is the kind of guy that WANTS something crazy to be happening. Sure he makes compelling arguments, but he could be wrong. The anticipation will drive you nuts.
The tension present is thick, suffocating… kind of like the heat Jeff is suffering through. So much of this picture is told through quiet little moments as we observe people moving about their daily lives, or acting in a manner that must be irregular. You'll be jotting down mental notes when suddenly, something will click into place. Then, pure terror. You’ll suddenly understand how high the stakes have gotten… but by the time you do, it’s too late.
On top of being a splendidly executed thriller, this film contains many laughs and a touching love story. Grace Kelly is wonderful as Lisa. She’s beautiful and classy, smart, and adventurous with a bit of a kick to her. You expect her to be a piece of arm candy for our lead but she’s tough and memorable. The beginning of the film takes its time slowly dispensing information about all of the characters, but you’re never bored. Her relationship with Jeff is good enough that it could’ve been its own movie. It just happens to be a part of a bigger story which makes it a special treat.
Thinking of watching Rear Window? better make sure you pack your deodorant first. You're going to be sweating. If there is such a thing as a perfect movie, this is it. Every detail is exciting and the story unfolds so elegantly I can’t think of a single thing I’d alter. I expected it to be good, but wasn't prepared for how much I'd love Rear Window. (On DVD, December 14, 2016)

Note
Dark Greetings this Spooky Season Ms. V. Can we get a list of your favorite Halloween movies and specials? I know you have seen *everything* and I am trying to go beyond my usual rewatches this holiday month.
V. AIMMYARROWSHIGH’S CRITERIA FOR HALLOWEEN EPISODES
Does the Halloween element combine convincingly with the usual universe of the show (ex: Lizzie McGuire 2x09 “Those Freaky McGuires” is not good as a Halloween episode because it changes the rules of the Lizzie McGuire universe, whereas Community 2x06 “Epidemiology” is a GREAT Halloween episode because it manages to logically introduce zombies to the regular Community universe)?
Does the Halloween element advance the plot of the episode/series (ex: the reason Boy Meets World 5x17 “And Then There Was Shawn” is literally the best Halloween episode ever made is that it uses the horror movie tropes it satirizes to provide a CRUCIAL turning-point to the plot of the show)?
Is the Halloween episode in the forefront enough that it’s clearly a holiday episode (ex: HAVING ONE JACK-O’LANTERN ON A DESK DOES NOT A HALLOWEEN SPECIAL MAKE, LAW & ORDER 16x03 “GHOSTS”! You gotta go ALL-IN, like Bob’s Burgers 3x02 “Full Bars”!)?
Does the Halloween theme balance well between spooky and warm-n-fuzzy (ex: Criminal Minds 11x21 “Mr. Scratch” is too fucking bleak, but Criminal Minds 12x06 “Elliott’s Pond” has a joyous/celebratory tone to the ending despite being a genuinely scary episode)?
Is it generally a well-written, acted, and designed episode of television (ex: Saved by the Bell! 3x26 “Mystery Weekend” is seriously, not exaggerating, the worst thing I’ve ever watched in my life; Psych 1x15 “Scary Sherry, Or Bianca’s Toast” is a triumph of the medium)?
THE BEST, bar none, Halloween special ever made is Boy Meets World 5x17, “And Then There Was Shawn.” Period. There can be no argument, except MAYBE Community 3x06, “Epidemiology,” but I like “And Then There Was Shawn” better because the parody and homage as less… biting? And because I think it continues and addresses the emotional core of the regular BMW season better than “Epidemiology” does for Community s3. “Epi” DOES plant the seed (…heh) for the Season 3B major plot arc of Shirley’s pregnancy and Chang Deciding To Murder, but it gets some major minus points for mocking Yvette Nicole Brown’s weight with other characters’ responses to her costume, tbh. And “And Then There Was Shawn” is just fucking iconic. It is THE Halloween episode manual, IMO, if there were to be a textbook on how to write a perfect Halloween episode for your sitcom.
HOWEVER, I also have to give major props to Bob’s Burgers and Psych, as complete series, for their CONSISTENTLY excellent Halloween episodes. A lot of series that have multiple Halloween eps really phone it in after one or two, because they don’t have any more ideas for how to incorporate Halloween pastiches while maintaining the overall feeling of the series (tbh B99, while the Halloween Heists are excellent in general, is/has been coming very close to this line, and I think that if they HADN’T had to switch out the Heist to Cinco de Mayo in s6, they would have jumped their Heist Shark [and I think they know it, too, because it was lampshaded in the episode itself]) or they just straight-up don’t have any more ideas for what or how to have the characters they’re bound to parody or pay homage to a Halloween thing after they’ve already done one or two. And let’s be real: those one or two have probably been either The Shining or Rear Window, because those are pretty much the two that every show starts with.
Bob’s manages to make every Halloween episode feel very fresh and organic to the series, which I think they do have some leeway to do because of the nature of cartoons keeping the Belchers living a kind of loop of never aging, yk, but amazingly they’ve only done the “Tina feels too old to trick or treat, maybe? Nope, she’s not 14 yet, so there’s still time!” thing in a way that felt tropey once (in 3x02 Full Bars). They’ve been able to address Tina being 13/in 8th grade, and worrying about it being almost too late for her to keep trick or treating, in ways that were in-character and added to the overall episode in 4x02 Fort Night, 5x02 Tina and the Real Ghost, and 9x04 Nightmare on Ocean Avenue Street, without me rolling my eyes at the screen and going “TINA, EVERY SINGLE SHOW WITH A TWEEN IN IT HAS ALREADY DECIDED THAT THE AGE AT WHICH YOU MUST STOP TRICK OR TREATING IS FRESHMAN YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL, COME ON NOW” which… at this point, is a Feat. Because like, I’ve POSTED over a thousand Halloween episodes, right? But I’ve watched and screencapped ::checks folder:: 3,905 Halloween episodes since 2014. Which is, um, a. lot. The ACTUAL BEST Bob’s Burgers Halloween episode is 6x03, “The Hauntening,” which is just… achingly perfect television. I know I’ve posted about it before (probably a couple times tbh) but the way that it aired originally back-to-back with The Simpsons 27x04, “Halloween of Horror,” so that the evening of Sunday cartoons juxtaposed eight-year-old Louise whose family worked so hard to scare her like she wanted with nine-year-old Lisa’s family working so hard to keep her from being too scared and make sure that she felt safe… reader, I FUCKIN CRIED. Little girls being deeply loved while also Spoopy Things!!!!!! IS WHAT HALLOWEEN SPECIALS ARE!!! FUCKIN!!!!!! ABOUT!!!!!!!
Psych, though, has the benefit of not really having any, like… central tone to the series? Beyond “friendship” and “having fun with joking,” tbh? So it’s able to do what a lot of series get docked “points” for in my Foolproof Halloween Special Ratings System That Is Completely Subjective To My Tastes And Mood, which is really just run full-tilt into parody and homage without really worrying about overall tonal connection to the rest of the season or series. 1x15, “Scary Sherry, or, Bianca’s Toast,” while it DOES fall victim to the way-too-common Halloween episode trap of making mental hospitals into a Scary Thing (they are a medical normality and a necessary thing for health for many people and should not be feared), is delightful Spooky Fun AND has the benefit of having Shannon Woodward in it.* We all know by now that if an episode of any show has Shannon Woodward as the guest star, it will by default end up being one of the best, if not THE best, episodes of that series. It’s just how having Shannon Woodward as your guest star rolls. I also really like, with Psych’s Halloween episodes, that quite a few of them understand the underlying thematic scope of Horror, which is “The Monstrous Feminine Is A Thing And All Horror Tropes Are Actually About Women’s Interior Lives Because Men Can’t Write Women And Fear Women Always,” yk, in a way that is neither TOO Actual Horror, which I am too afraid of to Do, or too trite and demeaning, which is the other basic trap that Halloween stuff falls into A Lot. Like, Scary Sherry is very much about women villainizing other women, avenging other women, and being in very specifically-female pain, even though Shawn & Gus are still the lens through which we solve the mystery, and so are 4x04 The Devil Is In The Details And The Upstairs Bedroom and 6x03 This Episode Sucks. But they give their Monstrous Females dignity and breadth, which is impressive, ESPECIALLY since they’re one-off guest characters. Also, 3x15 Tuesday the 17th is just plain funny and well-done, like, just give it props for the title alone.
*(Speaking of Shannon Woodward, another amazingly good Halloween episode is Raising Hope 4x07, “Murder, She Hoped,” which is among my very favorite Rear Window homage episodes and has probably the funniest gag in ANY Rear Window ep, in Martha Plimpton floating across the screen in the Grace Kelly silk nightgown and peignoir and announcing that it was on sale at Walmart, can you believe?! and honestly, yes. Perfection.)
Also excellent:
• The Addams Family (1991) + Addams Family Values (1993) • Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School (RAISE YOUR HAND IF YOU WERE GAY FOR SIBELLA AS A CHILD!) • Scooby-Doo and the Witch's Ghost (RAISE YOUR HAND IF YOU'RE GAY BECAUSE THE HEX GIRLS!) • Halloweentown + Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge • Mom's Got a Date with a Vampire! • Z•O•M•B•I•E•S (to a lesser extent, Z•O•M•B•I•E•S 2) • Clue (1985) • Coraline • Corpse Bride • 6teen 2x00 Dude of the Dead • Arthur 21x00 Arthur and the Haunted Treehouse • Lamb-Chop in the Haunted Studio • Arthur 8x04A Fern-kenstein's Monster • Arthur 10x02 The Squirrels • WandaVision 1x06 The All-New Halloween Spooktacular (I KNOW YOU, SPECIFICALLY, DEAR @plavoptice, HATE MCU!WANDA AND I DON'T BLAME YOU, YOUR REASONS ARE VERY VALID! But this is a good Halloween special so I'm putting it on my list In General.) • Boy Meets World 2x06 Who's Afraid of Cory Wolf? • Ghostbusters (2016) • Gravity Falls 1x12 Summerween • Leverage 4x02 Ten L'il Grifters Job • The Loud House 2x40 Tricked! • Mockingbird Lane 1x00 Unaired Pilot • It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! (Classic, etc.)
I'm SURE I'm forgetting some that I'll rewatch this year myself. I'm a big Halloween Baking Championship fan, tbh, which is on Discovery+ now so I recommend that if you like mostly-relaxing nice people baking cakes that look like bats and such.
I'm also IMMENSELY INTENSELY EXCITED for The Muppets' Haunted Mansion on Disney+ next week!!!

How to Upgrade to Microsoft Office 2016
Tumblr media
if you are a subscriber to Office 365 (or want to watch a free trial), you have the opportunity to upgrade to the new version right now. Mac OS X users with a similar subscription office 2016 product key activation also can do it (for them a new version came out slightly earlier).
The upgrade process is not much difficult, but still briefly ms 2016 product key show it below. In this update of the already installed Office applications 2013 (under the menu item “account”) will not work. You can also buy a new Office 2016 Microsoft online store as in versions with and without it (though prices may surprise).
Whether updated? If you, like me, free office 2016 product keys are working with documents in Windows and OS X is definitely worth (finally and here and there the same Office). If you have now within the Office subscription 2013 version 365, then why not, your settings are saved, look at what’s new in the always interesting programs and bugs, I hope, will not be a lot.
On your account page, easy Office will notice the “install” button, by clicking on that on the next page, you will need to click “install”.
The result will be downloaded the new installer, which automatically downloads and installs the Office application, replacing their existing 2016 programmed 2013. I have the upgrade Microsoft office 2016 activation key process took about 15-20 minutes required to download all the files.
If you want to download a free trial of Office 2016, you can also do this on the above page by going to “find out about the new features.
Perhaps, I won’t, and fail to detail the innovations ms office pro plus 2016 product key  — in fact don’t use most of the features of Microsoft Office programs. Just point you to a few points:
Adequate collaboration on documents
Integration with Windows 10
Ink formulas (judging by demonstrations, excellent working)
Automatic data analysis (I really don’t know what it was about)
Smart tips, find definitions online, etc.

II've decided to watch MacGyver from the beginning (again), and I'm live tweeting the experience with every tweet tagged with #savemacgyver. I thought it would be fun to share my collected thoughts from the episodes on here as well.
My Thoughts on S1E3, "Awl"
You're not only going to make it to 30, Mac, but you're going to make it to season 6. #savemacgyver
I love that Jack's bucket list includes finishing the Harry Potter books. Guess he's not a one-trick pony after all with sci-fi. A healthy blend of science fiction and fantasy is just what the doctor ordered.
Dylan Thomas reference! That poem was written about the poet's own father, and is about how everyone, no matter who they are or what they stand for, fights against death in the end. He's begging his dad to "rage, rage against the dying of the light," to not give in to death so easily, to keep fighting. Just taught this poem, actually, so I'm vibing with this reference super hard. Though to be fair, I'd be vibing with it anyway. Love Dylan Thomas.
Oh my gosh, this is the one with the fire extinguisher and inflatable escape! I'd forgotten which episode that came from, but I see GIFs of it all over Tumblr. Poor Mac especially, that looks like it hurts. Why is Lucas Till so good at being whumped?!
Jack hugging the fire extinguisher: Iconic.
I'll never get tired of seeing that polar bear! Do we know if he has a name?
I cannot get over how small and excited Bozer is, not a care in the world except for his movie. It's exciting to think about what's to come for his character growth, though I do wish he wouldn't have to go through all the things he does. :(
Jack's conversations with his dad at the grave are just everything. And I feel cheated that we haven't gotten to see Mac have the same kind of conversations at Jack's grave (though I firmly believe it's a regular occurrence off-screen).
Seriously, the way he talks to his dad is so familiar, so comfortable, so natural. It's like Daddy Dalton is right there with him and it fills me with so many emotions that I can't even.
The smile on Jack's face and the pride in his voice when he talks about Mac to his dad is the purest thing ever.
Also, that's a big-ass tombstone Jack is leaning against.
"Hi, Mr. Dalton. How's... life?" MAC! 😂
I can't tell you how much I love it when other characters talk about how smart Mac is. "He's a genius..."
First mention of Mac's dad. It's sweet how invested Jack is in Mac rebuilding his relationship with his old man. Also, I really wish we would have gotten a flashback of Jack's dad at some point. He seems like such an amazing man.
"If I could have one more day to sit and talk to my dad instead of that hunk of rock, I'd do anything." Jaaaaaaack 😭😭😭
Good old Ralph Kastrati. Single-handedly the most annoying character in all of cable television. Y'all have no idea what you're getting into with this one, dream team.
PUNCHFACE.
"My mom dated a guy like that once." Ouch. I'm about to start a Riley Zinger Counter for each episode. Her comebacks are 🔥
It's not just his face, Jack. Everything about this dude is punchable. Especially the way he says "yo."
Ewwww tightie whities no thanks imma head hom now byyye
Mac just snatched that can right out of Jack's hand as he was about to take a drink. Classic.
If I didn't hate Ralph before (spoiler: I did), then I extra hate him for the foie gras comment.
Yes, Jack, "asshat" is the perfect descriptor for this guy.
Is Mac seriously about to just make him some noise-canceling headphones? Who am I kidding? Of course he is.
I need more of Mac punching people in the face. For science.
Poor Jack didn't get to punch the punch face.
🎵 Snipers gonna snipe, snipe, snipe, snipe, snipe 🎵
Between the foie gras and the calfskin, they are really making this guy so easy to hate just sayin'.
"As soon as you're done saving his life, I'm gonna kill him, you hear that, smart-ass? I'm already dressed for the funeral." 🤣🤣🤣🤣
"He's g-good. He just... got kinda shot." Is that the medical terminology, Mac?
Jack using country music as a form of torture 🤣
"You're going to be seeing Yelp stars if you don't shut up!"
Have I mentioned how much I love the music in this show?
"I don't wanna die listening to country music!"
I love how bossy and grabby Mac gets when he improvises.
Another belt grab! I can’t get over Jack trying to keep his crazy partner from falling out of the window – it gives me life!
Actually makes me wonder if he does it because Mac’s taken a tumble out of a car window before. *fanfic brain engaged*
“You know how I feel about your puns.” C’mon, Mac, pus are the greatest forms of humor, bar-pun. (Geddit?)
Mc made a C in biology? I’m not buying it.
Dwwwwwww the sounds of the surgery. No thanks.
Though I will say this is one of the coolest (albeit grossest) things Mac’s ever done on this show.
What the heck is with that elevator door? It took a whole 10 years to close! I wouldn’t trust it. (To be fair, I don’t trust any elevator, but that’s neither here nor there.)
Sir Bleeds-a-Lot lol
Riley stepping in and taking charge once again. No idea how these two functioned before she came along.
Some seriously cool MacGyverisms in this episode. The whole process of “killing” Ralph and bringing him back with office supplies is so OG MacGyver and it gives me all the warm fuzzies.
Ralph: “You’re not a scientist, you’re not a doctor. So how the hell do you know all this stuff?” Mac: “...I read a lot of books?” I love Mac so much.
“Now go die.” Lolololol
The moment with Ralph wanting to call his mom and grow the hell up is surprisingly genuine and heartbreaking. Character development for a character in only one episode, hello, is that you?
“He’s dead, but he’ll get better.” MacGyver, 2016
Riley’s comeback about Jack’s plan to take out six guys if Mac takes out two is another winner. (Riley: 2, Jack: 0) Still, I love the whole, “Sure it does [count as a plan]. First, I’ll take two. Then, I’ll take the other four.” This is why Mac is the plan guy, not Jack.
“Or I can take them all out.” Mac’s confidence = 🔥
I might need to start a Mac sass counter too. Jack: “You seriously want me to put this on my face?” Mac: “Only if you like breathing.”
Jack’s left fist getting jealous 🤣
They really liked choking Mac in the early episodes, didn’t they? Not that I’m complaining. Actually, why did that stop? That strangled, panicked cry of “JACK?!” is music to my fanfic writing, hurt/comfort obsessed, whump-loving soul.
That cough - it actually hurts me to hear it! They should have given us some more repercussions or aftercare for Mac breathing in that gas!
Ralph fell asleep. Of course.
“You know, it’s weird. I’m glad he’s alive… but I still want to kill him. 🤣 I’m with Jack on this one!
Ralph: “A fresh start. I could use one of those right?” Riley: “Or a whole new personality.” ZZZING!!! Riley: 1 million, the world: -10
Oh he did not just call Riley “little hottie.” I’m back to wanting to kill him, character development be darned. So diminutive, dehumanizing, and objectifying. This guy has more than won the douchebag lottery. Riley can more than stick up for herself, but still. The way he speaks to her here makes me feel all kinds of gross.
He just said “ya heard” unironically. Can we let Jack punch him now, please?
Jack offering to let Ralph keep the cash he lifted if he gets to punch him is great, but even better is Mac and Riley offering to chip in money for The Cause.
Oh, yeah, Bozer was in this episode. I’m excited for when he is utilized more!
Bozer’s monster Mac is nightmare fuel!
“A letter? That you put in the mail? It’s 2016.” Hey, as someone who has an actual, old-school type pen pal, step off, Jack.
Mac: “You just gonna watch?” Jack, offended: “Not anymore.” How is it Jack is like Mac’s dad but they also bicker like 5-year-olds? This relationship is so strange, so wonderful, and the heart of the show in so many ways. I love them.
Mac’s words of wisdom about the nature of life are actually super encouraging and exactly what I needed to hear today.
I’d forgotten how much I love this episode – t’s so fun! Although the Codex storyline in season 4 is probably my favorite plot-wise, coming back to these early episodes is like a breath of fresh air! Excellent, excellent episode with so much to offer!
What are your thoughts on "Awl?" I'd love to discuss! :)

Following the Monster Generation Interview 1.1: Introduction
INDEX || PREVIOUS || NEXT
INTERVIEW 1: FROM PLANNING TO COVERING
Introduction
Small fists were hot and shaking.
The scenery outside the train window is not reflected in the eyes of the small and quiet Yamamoto Akane, who fits in the seat of the Shinkansen returning to Tokyo. What’s repeatedly reflecting in her mind is the game that just ended—the match between the Schweiden Adlers and MSBY Black Jackals that was held at Kamei Arena Sendai*.
The enthusiasm of the venue still clung to her body, and she couldn’t settle down.
“Haa...”
Unable to stand the tension anymore, Akane takes a deep breath and decides: “I am definitely going to chase after them!”
“Eh? After what?”
In the seat next to her, Enaga Fumi, a senior reporter at Monthly Volleyball, stopped typing on her keyboard.
“Ah, I’m sorry for bothering you!”
“No, I was thinking about taking a break just now.” Enaga shut her laptop and asked: “So? What are you chasing after?”
“The Monster Generation!” Akane’s eyes sparkled. Then she clenches her fist and started talking. “This is what I thought:”
In the long history of Japanese volleyball, there must have been many excellent players that shone like stars, and that were touted as legends. Whenever tactics and talents that overthrow current common sense emerge, volleyball evolves by the minute.
The forefront of that history, right now, is all the great players that have all appeared at the same time. Surely, the me that happens to be there is blessed**. Without being spoiled by this good fortune, without forgetting to be grateful, I want to follow them properly and consciously.
That is to say, since Akane still had plenty of time until they got to Tokyo, she went all out to talk on and on.
Until now, whenever she talked about volleyball with her friends from school, the mood always got much colder. Or more precisely, it felt like they were taken aback, but now all the people around her reacted with more passion than she did. She reflects on how happy she is to be in this wonderful environment.
Well, Enaga, who has done lots of interviews with players, doesn’t just have knowledge and enthusiasm. She’s a good listener and also asks good questions too. She also doesn’t forget to ask about things after letting Akane chatter to her heart’s content.
“And then? You’re not going to just watch the matches, right?”
“...!”
Akane’s body quivered with excitement, and then she announced that she was merely waiting.
“I want to hear everyone’s story. And then, I want to know things like how they got to the present or how they got to be themselves!”
I want to hear everything; I want to know everything.
It’s because up until now I’ve watched these players with my own eyes, and in the future I will also continue to follow these players. I will continue to chase after the Monster Generation, and definitely uncover the secrets of their strength!
“Does that mean that you want to conduct interviews?”
At Enaga’s question, Akane gave a big nod.
“I was also there at the legendary Spring High where the Monster Generation all met, and I saw them with my own eyes! Going back to that Spring High, there’s not just the players, but also their teammates and other related people.. I want to meet and talk to everyone!”
“If you listen to the players’ stories, I think you could make something like a serialized column, but for the other people involved, it might be slightly different?”
The veteran Enaga immediately thought of the downside of the business, but Akane’s dream did not seem to fit the size of a small column.
“Column... feature page... No, more... I’m thinking of enough material to make about one book!”
“That’s biting off more than you can chew***... but it seems interesting. I’ll support you.”
“But the question is...”
Akane’s vigor withered away.
“What?”
“Even if I could listen to the stories of the players and other parties... for a college student who is only a publishing house intern, I wonder how the best way to arrange this would be...”
Looking at the thoroughly small Akane, Enaga smiled.
“Is that so? If it’s you, isn’t there a person who will give you help?”
“Eh?”
TRANSLATION NOTES:
* Kamei Arena Sendai is a real indoor sporting arena in Sendai, Miyaji. Pre-2016, it was called the Sendai City Gymnasium.
** Referencing Akane’s place in history with regards to the appearance of the Monster Generation. Like: she’s super blessed to exist in the same time frame and country as them haha.
*** 大きく出た: this seems to be an idiom / expression about trying to do something that’s above your current capabilities. For example: if I said “I’ll score 100 points on my next test!” but I’m a really bad test-taker or something, you could reply with this. “Biting off more than you can chew” and “shooting for the moon” are English idioms that convey more or less the same meaning, but obviously this isn’t a word-for-word translation.
NOTICE:
※ I’m doing this mostly as an exercise to practice my Japanese reading comprehension ※ Some translations are adjusted to flow better in English because we play fast and loose with the power of language comprehension ※ I am only one person and I am doing this for fun ※ PLEASE DO NOT RE-POST any of my translations ※ If you like these please consider buying the physical book. I bought my copy from Kinokuniya.

10 tech tricks you'll use again and again
Everyone enjoys a good prank. There's nearly always some shortcut we've never learned, no matter how well we know an app or program. The same is true with hardware: we may use gadgets on a daily basis without realizing their useful features.
Zoom is an excellent example, which millions of Americans have only just found. Tap or click here for 11 Zoom tips you'll wish you'd known sooner.
You may spend a lot of time in quarantine using the technology you already own, especially if you work from home. You may be doing things “the hard way” when you could be saving money by cutting corners.
Speaking of free, touch or click here for 15 free tech upgrades, including free products like Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Office.
Here are a few of my favorite popular tech tips, tricks, and shortcuts for various apps and tools:
1. Insert your USB drive correctly the first time.
It feels like a no-brainer to connect a USB cord correctly. So, why do we frequently do things wrong on the first try?
Here's the deal: Take any USB cable you have lying around the home. Notice the emblem on one side? It is more than just branding or adornment. If you plug in horizontally, the USB symbol will face you; if you plug in vertically, the USB symbol will face you. You are now aware.

2. Reopen a previously closed browser tab
It occurs on a regular basis. You have a dozen tabs open in your browser and unintentionally close one of them. You could either access your browser's history and reopen the tab from there, or you could accomplish it with a few keystrokes.
To reopen the tab you just closed, press Ctrl+Shift+T on a PC or Command+Shift+T on a Mac.
3. At a specific point, share a YouTube video.
If you see anything in a YouTube video that you want to share at a specific point, you can obtain a link that brings people directly to that spot. Click the Share icon to the right of the video. Look for a checkbox to the right of the link. It will automatically indicate the time at which the video is currently paused.
You have the option of continuing at this time or changing it. Copy the link and share it on your chosen social media platform or send it to a friend through email. When someone clicks on the link, the YouTube video will immediately go to the point you specified.
4. Use "Site:" to find content like a ninja.
Millions of results can be returned by a Google search. Reduce that greatly by using Google's Site: option to search only one site. Open Google in your browser and type "site:" followed by the website you want to search for. Just like this: “site:joomtechsolutions.com,” but without quotation marks.
A tip on a tip: Instead of going to Google, insert “site:joomtechsolutions.com search term” in your browser's URL bar. Again, no quotation marks are required.
5. Report junk texts and stick them to the scammers
Junk SMS messages are vexing, to say the least. You can block them, but taking action also feels fantastic.
With just a few clicks, you can report SMS to the GSMA's Reporting Service. Send the message to 7726 (can you guess what that means?) Alternatively, in your messaging app, simply select "Report Junk."
6. In Google Docs, you can use your voice.
I'm sure you already use your phone's speech-to-text feature to dictate texts or emails, but did you know you can do the same in Google Docs? It's free and surprisingly effective.
Open a new Google Docs document and select Voice Typing from the Tools menu. Then you can begin dictating. Voice Typing also understands commands like "comma," "period," and "new paragraph."
7. Use Disney Plus to download movies
Downloading video content and watching it offline is handled differently by each streaming service. Until 2016, Netflix was a huge holdout. However, Disney Plus immediately allowed this choice. At the bottom of the menu, there is a download icon. You can also download as many titles as your hard disc can store with the Disney Plus app.
8. Take a screenshot and crop it.
Screenshots are ubiquitous, but you frequently capture more than you require. Exposing too much of your screen in a single image can put your security at risk. Instead, snap a screenshot with exact cropping to ensure that only what you want is included.
Press Command + Shift + 5 on a Mac to bring up a rectangle that you can alter as much as you want.
On Windows 10, go to Start, type Snipping Tool into the Search Bar, then press Enter. This will give you a comparable box that you may move around your screen in any shape you choose.
9. Look through WhatsApp chats.
Messages accrue over time, regardless of platform. We're looking for that one funny quotation or a crucial street address, but it's buried in a jumbled sea. Although WhatsApp is the most downloaded software of the decade, many users are unaware that you can search your messages in the same way that you can with Google.
There is a search bar in iOS versions and a search icon in Android versions. In any case, seek for words that are distinctive to a particular conversation to help you identify the exact message you're looking for.
10. Cancel an email
Did you just send an email to everyone that was intended for only one person? Gmail, on the other hand, allows you to unsend an email by modifying one setting before to writing your email.
This message recall also allows you to change spelling mistakes, erroneous recipients, the subject line, and even append missed attachments.
Bonus Tip: How to Sign a PDF Electronically
In many offices across the country, PDFs are already replacing printed papers. They are more adaptable, portable, and convenient to use – but not everyone is aware that you can sign a PDF document in the same way you would a real one.
Almost every PDF-reading application includes a capability for electronically signing papers and forms. To learn how to do it, tap or click here.
