so one of the things i was taught to do during training is actually to read the case without reading the medical history in order to see if you can correctly diagnose a patient without bias (so you don't ignore important findings cuz it doesn't fit your working hypothesis) and i typically do that automatically, then check the history to make sure i haven't made something up in my head (trust but verify always!!!), and go back and read the case properly with info and it's really fascinating how much you can figure out about someone just with like one cross-sectional study
