its been a while since i wrote anything, but i think the last thing i worked on was this fic for the prequels big bang, its focused on cody dealing with the war/his role in it and i really need to sit and work on it tbh

Cody woke up with a gasp. His room was dark, ocean grey, and he scrambled desperately for the light switch. Cold light flooded the room. He pulled his knees up beneath his chin, a cry had, at some point, faded in his throat. His first instinct was to pace, to search the halls of the Negotiator with a single-minded purpose until he found something to distract him. His chrono informed him that he had two hours before he needed to wake, briefly, he considered following the instinct, allowing himself to break his carefully crafted routine. Wondered, even more briefly, what it would be like to have never had the routine in the first place. He indulged the thought for a brief moment, then, turned off his light and laid back down.  He breathed in once, twice. Laid with his eyes stubbornly shut until his chrono chimed. Sleep did not come for him.

went to help my mom set up her flea market booth today, and while we were there one of the other vendors came up to chat and was like “oh is this your son :)?” and my mom, who is still very much getting used to me being nonbinary and isn’t always sure what to call me, just kind of stared at them blankly for a few seconds before giving the most unsure “yes…?” possible. i took over and introduced myself, and a minute later once the person had left she turned to me and went “oh my god that person thinks i have dementia” 😭💀

this is an old ass grievance and one others have likely talked to death but you should absolutely be able to marry any of the house leaders regardless of byleth’s gender. Claude asking them to dance in every version, Edelgard and Dimitri’s devotion being exactly the same, just with the option to marry only being included half the time — none of these people are straight and Nintendo can’t convince me otherwise
